For the price it's a decent hotel
There was no AC in the room and the shower towels are small hand towels and the reception is closed all night from 8pm. On the plus side the hotel is a 2 minutes walk from the metro station which gets you everywhere in Prague quickly and efficiently
Quality of hotel very disappointing. Blackout curtains only large enough to flank window, so had to use paper clips to pin together so people in opposite building could not see inside room. One of two lights over sink missing entirely and staff said impossible to find replacement. No toiletries, just liquid soap. Extra blanket in closet covered in weird stains. Staff was very nice, but could not make up for inferior quality of premises.
Tosca Hotel Prague
This hotel was excellent. The staff were delighful and so helpful all the time. The breakfast was delicious. My room was spacious and spotless. The location was great - a metro station 2 minutes walk straight into the heart of Prague. I would definitely stay here again at the Tosca
Property was not available. Instead there were directions on how to get to the next nearest hotel of this company, and on the door of the next hotel there was another re-direction. Not fun running around city tired with cases.
Basic. Choose elsewhere
BASIC facilities. 1 English speaking tv channel. Room had one radiator working. 1 flat pillow. Rubbish duvet. No clean towels. Maid left the door unlocked so anybody could have walked in. Service in general was dire. With any issue it was always no understand. Don’t bother !!!!
Highly recommend
Excellent location. Close to the metro and tram. Only 20 min walk from Prague train station. Very easy access to city. We were very pleased with the hotel. The cleanliness and staff was great. Breakfast is not here or there but Prague can be cheap to eat out. We are a ready at looking of coming back to this hotel in July 2020
Nice place, very convenient to everything and all staff were friendly all the time. Highly recommended for travels to Prague.
They turned off all hallway lights and no indication on how to turn on
I was ripped off, I reserved and paid everything in advance for an 18 sq m"r room with air conditioner and shower/tub combo, yet the receptionist gave me the 13 sq m"r room (included the bathroom) and with no air-conditioner, not even a fan, and no shower/tub combo as advertised, just a tiny shower. Furthermore, the room was facing the back yard where they had 2 large chimney fans below blowing out the smoke and cooking smells from the Hotel's kitchen below, so my room stunk from those smells when I tried to open the windows. The room itself was really tiny, you could not move around in it except to jump straight on the bed when you enter. The reception wouldn't change my room telling me they are fully booked and that in any case if I wanted the 18 sq m"r room with aircon and shower/tub combo I would have to pay them extra, even though I proved to her from my smartphone that this was indeed what I reserved and paid for and the ONLY REASON I chose that hotel over other hotels nearby who were much cheaper because they didn't advertise air-conditioner and tub. I wasted precious hours arguing with the reception instead of visiting Prague. The only good review I can give is that the next morning I had a good breakfast.
This might be the best value in Prague. My room was comfortable and clean, chocolates on the pillows. The staff was extremely friendly, breakfast more than basic, and location conveniently near subway.
Very good. Location great. Breakfast adequate.
One of the rooms we booked was very small and appeared to be a refurbished office. The ground floor room we were given was great.
It was conveniently situated close to the city centre.
Charming Vinohardy!
Really great place with a great price. Centrally located in vinohardy, cleanly room, and good breakfast in the morning. They gave a cute free beer voucher for a pub nearby, too. Only issue is that the hotel is in front of a tram station, so it can be a bit noisy at times. That didn't bother me, but could be a problem for others.
This hotel is right near Namesti miru metro stop. The price was great. The people working there were great. It met all my expectations.
We booked this hotel because it was a few blocks from my daughter's apartment and it worked out very well. It was convenient to public transportation which is pretty easy to navigate for such a large city. The rooms were comfortable and their breakfast was huge with a very nice selection of food. My only complaint is the linens, which could use a little upgrading. Other than that I would highly recommend the place.
Need to upgrade
It was fine and easy to travel around cuz it’s close to the bus and train station. The only problem is that the reception area is the only upgraded and well decorated. The room has old furnitures and no iron and no welcome bottled water or something. The tv is old too.
Hotel is in a good location, staff had trouble with English but was manageable.
Prague tram extravaganza
Easy transport from airport and very good connection to city centre. Excellent breakfast and friendly reception staff. Good authentic restaurants in easy walking distance which were recommended by hotel reception.
Tosca - 8/10
A good hotel, but lacked tea and coffee making facilities in the room, which would have given it full marks. Very convenient position, comfortable and reasonable breakfast.
Good Stay
Nice Hotel, room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast offering was very good with a good range of hot and cold food. Very close to Namisti Miru with all its transport connections, Metro, Tram and bus. Only extra I would look for is access to a public computer for those people who do not have a smartphone or tablet. But overall a good stay.
EA Hotel Tosca Review
Excellent small hotel not too far from the central train station with a great breakfast and helpful staff.
Good value for money
The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet area yet close to the city center and all other touristic attractions. The hotel is clean, basic interior design, rooms are not necessarily sound-proof and it could use some improvement on the comfort department. The mattresses were rather uncomfortable. Breakfast is a major plus: plentiful and diverse. Service very helpful and friendly. All in all, Tosca offers a really good deal for your money, especially if you're looking for a week stay.
3 star hotel closer to two stars than 4 stars
Nice small hotel in beautiful refurbished historic building. Good staff. No options to control heating in the room. Rooms are not cleaned properly everyday. Don't use breakfast buffet, it's really poor with nasty juice. For that price, it's much better you have breakfast outside in any other place (there is a Costa coffee very close).
Nice hotel near city centre
Hotel is located 2 stops from central train station. Nothing interesting nearby, but it is an easy 10 minutes walk to the city center. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. The lady who attended to me during check-in was friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about this hotel.
An old hotel near city center
Hotel meets your basic needs because of it is economic to stay, it is so preferable.
Great Prague hotel
This place is full of charm. Very nice breakfast. great It is also very close to the metro and the main square. Very friendly staff, they can help with anything you need! All of the trams and trolleys and subways are just outside.
Comfirtable
Enjoyed the hotel. Nice that it had singles, doubles and triple rooms. Good location
You get what you pay for
Cheap hotel. Nothing special. Good breakfast and fast, reliable wifi. Bedding had stains. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Don't leave anything of value in the room while away; the maids went through my bag on the first day I was out.
A well located hotel very close to Namesti Miru Metro station and several tram routes, and not far from the main station and Wenceslas Square. Several restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel is functional rather than luxurious, and slightly shabby around the edges. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but slightly dirty. The breakfast was sufficient but basic. A good economical place for one night or a short stay.
Great breakfast and more.
We want to go back and stay a week but in the Summer.
NICE hotel reasonable price
we stay one night .hotel very nice clean and hyginc..wasrooms big and break fast very good
Cozy and clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and great customer service.
European summer
The hotel was about 15-30 mins walking to attractions but quite area. This hotel only had single beds, which was a bit uncomfortable. Also it didn't have air-conditioning and it was very hot at nigh, had to request a fan and left it on overnight and day if possible.
Good.
I liked this area, quiet to get a good sleep at night. The hotel is far from town but very near to the underground station. Very helpful staff and friendly but one day I found my bed not made, so I did not like that.
Great place
WIFI was fast, breakfast good. The only possible con is that it is not in the "heart" of the city. If you don't mind a 30 minute walk, that's how long it takes on average to get to all the tourist locations.
Cheap, relatively comfortable hotel
This is a fairly basic hotel, but the rooms are en suite and very clean. The staff is super helpful and very kind. The hotel even has its own car park, which is a rarity among cheaper hotels in Prague. The WiFi in the rooms, but considering the small distance to the old town (2 stood on the underground) and a very attractive rate including breakfast, that was not much of a problem. Is a good 3 start experience for a traveler who doesn't want to spend too much.
Typical Euro Hotel
The hotel was an inexpensive place to stay and convenient to the metro. The rooms are small and sparse, similar to many European small hotels. The staff spoke enough English to be helpful.
Decent place
The stay was decent, the breakfast was disappointing. The room was well maintained and clean. All in All, value for money!
Good Value
Good comfortable quite room. No bath but good shower.
Great Value for Money
This hotel has a great location 2 minutes from the trams and a metro station. It is clean and the rooms are spacious.
Spacious
Conveniently located hotel one stop away from the main square. I had trouble turning on the towel heater and help never came.
cant complain.
the hotel was clean enough, basic room , but location was good only a short walk to the town centre, breakfast was very poor infact i only turned up once . over all average rating
Clean Quite OK
Clean, Quite, EU Standard Hotel. Perfect location. High Speed Wireless. Take your own soap and shampoo - this is the only thing that is not supplied. If not, everything is there, towels, dryer... The room is spacious, clean, carpet is dirty. Do not forget some slippers. No eggs for breakfast, but extensive cold cuts and cheese buffet.
nice hotel in Vinohrady
I used to live in this neighborhood, so I know the area. Its a great part of Prague, just outside the center. Hotel was clean and nice, staff very helpful. Only complaint is that not all the fees and charges are displayed on the initial listing on Hotels.com like they are for most hotels. The extra fees are shown clearly on the booking page, but it does cause a bit of annoyance when clicking on it thinking it will be a better deal than it really is.
Really, not a recommended hotel
This was a horrid hellhole of a hotel. The receptionist was a rude man. You're not allowed to have guests. There are all these rules you have to follow. No air conditioning. The TV in my room was the giant TVs from the 80s. The card reader on the doors weren't really useful. It's not even worth the low cost. And they ask you to fill out all kinds of personal information to "register" with the hotel. It sounded like a rundown operation. Plus the reception told me my room was on the 2nd floor - it turned out it was the 4th floor. I highly, highly suggest you look elsewhere. I had to cancel the booking and look elsewhere for accommodations. It ruined my trip a bit.
Cleaning
Ones a room was not cleaned on time They came about 4 p.m.
Not a good neighbourhood
We had hard time finding the hotel, and does not look like a good neighborhood. Hotel overbooked us, so we got send to another hotel also owned by the same company. so can't say about room conditions. but the front desk staff was rude.
Great for price
Nice neighborhood just out from the center. Clean, courteous, attentive facilities and staff. Didn't find the tram noisy like some reviewers. And the free witeless internet in the room was reliable and good as I conducted business on it for a week with no difficulties or interuptions. And the breakfast was nice.
Great little hotel!
Good location, nice room, good breakfast. Recommended!
Hotel Tosca Prague
Really enjoyed our stay, great location, convenient for public transport, only a couple of minutes walk from the metro station and trams. Very easy to get to from the airport. Friendly staff, comfortable room, nice hot shower and good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again if I'm lucky enough to return to Prague.
A great convenient stay!!
Going on holiday you never know quite what accomodation you're going to find.....however good the pictures on the website look. Very pleasantly suprised though and certainly met if not surpassed my expectations. Friendly, helpful staff and the room was very reasonably priced. It's about 15 minutes walk from the town centre but 2 minutes away you have namesti miru underground station so you can get to the centre in 5 minutes using that method. I would certainly recommend!
Great hotel
Really enjoyed my stay here, bargain price, easily accessible from the airport very close to metro station and tram number 22 to all sights, good location 10 mins walk from Wenceslas Square, helpful staff.
the main plus to Hotel is Tosca is it's location which allows a 10 min walk to the centre of Prague. the main minus is the noise from the tram which runs right past the hotel through the night, which for light sleepers like me was bad news.
Great location 10 mins from the centre
Good price, nice and clean and so easy to get to the centre, 2 minute walk to the metro or tram
Would recommend this hotel
The hotel staff at the front desk were very friendly and willing to help with any questions we had. They even made a call for us when we needed to confirm a train ticket and needed help with the language. We were able to exchange money at the front desk which was very convenient. Our room was very clean and big enough for the two of us. Breakfast was great. There were several options to choose from and everything we had was delicious. The only downsides were the street car outside our window was noisy in the night, and housekeeping didn't come two days in a row but as soon as we notified the front desk our room was immediately cleaned and we were given clean towels. There aren't many restaurants or sites close by, but the Metro station is just a block away so location was never an inconvenience.
EA Tosca Prague
Staff in there is friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms may be improved in terms of furnishment.
single rooms aren't impressive
I could see quite a bit of wear-out in the room.
Check out Tosca
This is my third stay at Hotel Tosca. It was as I expected. A great location. A helpful staff. A real bargain. Decent breakfast. Serviceable rooms. Very gay friendly. Trams at hand, the metro a block away. Anyone going to Prague should check it out to see if it meets his/her needs. It did mine every time I went to Prague.
It was good, not great
Overall the stay was nice. They claimed to be non-smoking but that wasn't the case. People smoked in the hallways and lobbies. I'm not sure if they smoked in the rooms, but there were used ashtrays in the staircase, hallway, and lobby. My room was quiet because it was in the back of the hotel. I'm sure the rooms close to the street were noisy because of the railway car line that went in front of the hotel. I was there for the gay night life, so this hotel was a good location. Very close to the most popular gay clubs. Interesting thing was that outside every room is a switch, this is the light switch and the lights are on timers. At first I thought they were doorbells. Would have been nice if they had told me when I arrived. Staff was nice enough.
Good location, not so good front desk.
The hotel was clean, easy to access since its close to metro station. Front desk staff is unfriendly, dont smile, and seem not to know where is the closest bank, internet cafe, etc. Anything you asked them didnt seemed very pleased to try to find out. The two ladies at the breakfast room were great, had a very nice smile and were very helpful even though they spoke hardly any English.
A big disappointement
When I got it with my child the first day, we were very tired, we opened the window and we saw an open sausage can in the border of the window, I thought the cleaning crew must have forgotten it there. But, we stayed there 4 nights and it was never removed. The first morning I hang the towels so that there is no need to wash them, after we came back to the room, I realise nothing was done in the room exept emptying the trash. The second morning I threw the towels on the floor so that they can be washed, just like it said on the sign in the bathroom, guess what we came back after a long day, and what they did, is hanging our dirty towels again. I was really upset about that, but I was afraid if I say something, and somebody would put something in our bags or in our beds. The floor was always dirty, the sheet were never changed, the towel were never washed, it was a big disappointement
Good value and great for transport links
We arrived early and we were worried we wouldn't be able to check in, but everything was ready for us. They'd received the opera tickets we'd ad delivered, and the lady on the front desk was lovely. The room was clean (and there was even a chocolate on the pillow on the first day!) Other visitors have complained about the noise in te past - while it's true the walls are a little thin the only thing that disturbed us the whole time we were there was vaccumming at 8am one morning (only one morning, I hasten to add, so perhaps the cleaner was new!) The only disappoint for me was the breakfast - the cakes and bread were all stale and there was no fruit. Perhaps it was the time of year we went, as it was in the quiet season, but was still disappointing. I didn't feel like eating potatoes and veg for breakfast (the alternative!). Fortunately buying breakfast in Prague isn't very expensive, so it wasn't a big deal. I'd recommend this to other travellers, as it was a real bargain - a comfy hotel less than 5 minutes away from tram and tube links. I don't know about tram noise, as I took a previous poster's advice and asked for a room at the back - we didn't hear anything from where we were.
EA Tosca Hotel Prague
I was very satisfied with the Hotel as a whole. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet very much, lots of variety, not just the greasy bacon, rehydrated Eggs, stale pastries etc.you find in the US. The hotel is very close to the metro station, and right on the #22 tram line that goes just about everywhere that a tourist could want. The room was kept clean and towel service was good. The lady at the desk was very helpful when we wanted to change are time to be picked up for the trip to the airport, she called the transfer company and handled all the details
Shuttle transfer from airport sucks
The hotel was not good enough for the expensive price I paid. The additional service shuttle was a scam. No one knows the firma who was supoused to pick me up. It took me an hour looking for the van who was supoused to "be waiting for me" and take me to the hotel. Once found it after an hour, they told me bad news, we have to wait for another couple. After 45 minutes waiting noone came, I assume they never found them, and they took me to hotel. Never book this shuttle is a waste of your time and is better to take a taxi from the airport, faster and better service. Even better take the metro. Bus 190, then metro and you are there. Easier and without inconvinients with this crapy "shuttle" firma
Short break in Prague
My husband and I stayed in the Tosca for a short budget break in August 2009. We could find no fault with the staff, the accommodation or breakfast. If you are looking for a hotel with no extra frills this is the place to stay. We would not recommend this hotel if you have difficulty walking any distance. We did not find it a problem as we enjoy walking but the hotel is a good hike to the Old Town/Charles Bridge. Other than that we highly recommend it.
Nice for the Price
Great staff.
Tosca review
Hotel staff were very nice, well spoken and very helpful with organising trips if you wished. A good choice of breakfast and plenty of it. It is quite being of the beaten track but has a tram stops outside the door or the main transport metro is a minutes walk away. It is also near a main feature so you have a landmark bearing when you come back. Excellent well recommended. Only slight disappointment was that they did not do evening food but it got you out exploring.
A decent place for a low budget traveler to central Prague
A decent place to stay for a few days in central Prague. Easy access to the center of the city. Clean, secure but without extras. The selection of breakfast food is not particularly great. Would not suggest this to honeymooners or people looking for a romantic holiday. More of a place for people who need a convenient location and are on a low budget. You have to pay for internet access. Also, they require a small security deposit (for potential damage to their property) when you check in.
I had booked for four nights, but only stayed two days as I could no longer stay in that hotel. It is rated as 3 star, but my room was very basic, no TV, no aur conditioned), with a sink so small that when I washed my face, water spilled onto the shelf and onto thr floor. The second morning I had to take a shower with cold water; when I went to notify the reception the receptionist checked and told me “it’s not really cold, it’s lukewarm”. But the main problem is that the room overlooked a countryard with greenery and even with the end of three locks insects such as spiders, ladybugs and others could enter. The second morning I woke up with red bunps; now I’m treated with antihistamines and cortisone-based and antibiotic ointment. I just add that on the second day they didn't change my bedsheets stained with the blood of insects I had killed.
Guter Preis, tolle Lage, gern wieder!
Nice and cheap hotel
We had a really good time! The staff was friendly, and our room was nice and clean. Thank you!
Hotel com boa estrutura e próximo a estação do metrô (500 metros).
EA Hotel Tosca
Nemt at komme rundt
Hotel Tosca a kényelem szigete.
Nagyon jó ár-érték arány.kényelmes ágy, segítőkész személyzet,széles választékú svédasztalos reggeli, metró és villamosmegálló egy-két percre, Vencel tér néhány perc gyalog, egy metrómegállóra a pályaudvar. Bátran ajánlom mindenkinek!
Cheap and
Nice hotel, good breakfast.English speaking stuff. about 20 min call to Mustek, center Big rooms with big beds. Has mini bar but no coffee maket

For the price the hotel is fine
