While on a busy traffic road, once inside the property it felt very separate. The area is cute, clean and welcoming, and the owners were right outside to greet us as we arrived. Unfortunately we flew out too early to sample the breakfast, but the space was lovely and welcoming.

The owner was so lovely! She makes you feel like family. The place is small, but each room is good sized and the outside area is quaint. Breakfast was more than adequate. It's important to remember this is by a busy intersection very near to the airport, so it can be noisy with the sounds of trucks and airplanes all of the time.

The people who run this establishment are incredibly nice. I checked in late and and checked out early the next morning but they still made me feel special. The traffic can be loud.

My stay was great. I had a early morning flight back home and checked in late. When I finally arrived from a long 8 hour drive the owner was super sweet and welcoming. I instantly regretted I was staying there longer. I will be back !

It’s not bad if you stay one night for your flight

very close to airport and rental car companies. There is a gate to get in, easily miss the gate. You have to stop on the street to ring the doorbell, feel not safe for your car due to heavy traffic, other than that, stay 1night is fine.

We were very happy with how close this property is to the airport. The charming owner waited up past midnight for us to arrive on our delayed flight. This little apartment motel has 4 rooms lined up making an outbuilding on the side of their home with beautiful gardens and a pretty pool on the patio where breakfast is served to order. There was free parking at the front of the gated property. The rooms were nice--very clean with a big fan for cooling and little kitchenets. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. We would stay again and wanted to, for our return flight, but it was full. The only note is that it is very close to one of the airport landing runways--we were so tired we slept through the night after the first two landed.

Best apartment stay ever

This was so beautiful especially being so secure well taken care of lawn and clean apartment. I just love this place. And I own a Airbnb in the states and I am very picky!!!!

Great hospitality. The fans kept us cool through the night so know there isn’t AC but thankful for the fans. They were super kind people!

The owners are amazing! Picked me up in the pouring rain and met the car with an umbrella, allowed me to fill out the check in paperwork the next morning. Exceptionally friendly and kind! As others have said, this is right by the airport so very convenient but do not expect it to be quiet during flight hours.

Our host was lovely, very helpful and welcoming. We stayed here for our first night and our last night as it is very close to the airport. We enjoyed our breakfast cooked to order. We had to leave very early in the morning on the last day and our host arranged for a taxi to pick us up at no cost to us. The room was fine, clean with comfy beds and there was a small kitchenette. You could sit outside where there is a nice garden. The location is quite noisy though as it is by a busy road and very close to the airport - a pro and a con! I would stay here again. It is convenient and the price is reasonable. For contacting the host to arrange for the shuttle make sure you have the What’s App number.

Has the best owners. They took care of us. The shuttle to and from the airport went seamlessly. If ever we had a question or issue the owners were there to help. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Great location if you need something by the airport. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Just know there is very loud airplane noise, so bring ear plugs.

I think it's a great place if you're flying out from the airport the next day, given how close it is. However, note that it's under one of the flight paths so you'll occasionally hear the flights landing. Could bother very light sleepers. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the room was surprisingly very nice. It's a great value. Other important note: The hotel is a small villa-style building and completely surrounded by a large outer wall with locked gate. This helped us feel more secure. However, if you're driving and not used to the area, note that the four-lane street it's on (2 in each direction) is very busy during rush hour and the only way to drive into the hotel is to stop your car directly on the street during traffic, get out and ring the camera to let them open the gate for you. I wasn't used to this stopping right on a busy street, but apparently that's the way it's done here. There's no entrance or spot to pull off to the side so you can check your map or anything. Just stop cold right there on the street.

This place is super close to the airport, so even if you need an overnight stay before heading out on an adventure this place is great. Awsome value and food wirhin walking distance. Host served breakfast and was willing to answer any questions about Costa Rico. Highly recommend.

We loved our 2 night stay here. The best thing about it was the host, Flor, and her staff. The breakfast that was included was one of the best of the trip. She also had a mini-fridge up front you could grab a drink for a reasonable cost. Included was also a taxi trip to the airport at 4am which she arranged for us. The pool was clean and refreshing. The bed was a queen and very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit aged but functional. There was a fully equipped kitchen. There wasn't AC but the area had a good breeze and we were actually a bit cool the second night we slept here. Of note, this place and placed directly in line with the SJO runway so some very loud planes overhead. There was thankfully few overnight. The road in front is also quite busy so driving (unless familiar with SJ city driving) was a bit nerve-wracking at times.

You couldn’t find a nicer, more welcoming host as Flor. Helped us find a nearby restaurant and arranged everything for the airport transportation. The driver was on time (actually a little early), which was great.

Great service, got us from airport to studio. Really nice folks with yummy fruit, juice, eggs and toast for breakfast. Downside was cause it’s close to Route and airport, it had quite a bit noise.

Charming start to Costa Rica vacation.

We were looking for a place convenient to the airport to start our Costa Rica vacation. This is not a fancy place, but it was close to the airport, gated entrance, had an airport shuttle, a kitchen, a safe in the room, a lovely little pool, made to order breakfast, and our hostess Flor Cordero was just marvelous. Plus they allowed us to leave our bulk luggage while we spent a few days at Tortoguero National Park until we came back to start our next leg if the vacation.

A wonderful oasis near the airport. Host Peter and his wife, as well as the waitress were delightful, informative, And friendly. There were quite a few hummingbirds enjoying their gardens. Please note that there is a bell you can ring by the front gate in case you get there after 10 o’clock, which is when their office generally closes. Local phone service is essential here, and is certainly helpful to touch base with your hosts. A very nice stay.

My room was actually a studio with everything necessary for cooking. The furniture was sturdy, rustic style. I liked the high ceilings. The owner is very nice and friendly. He picked me up at the a Airport (complementary service). Breakfast was fresh and prepared individually at the moment. I strongly recommend Dos Palmas. Would stay again.

Perfect airport hotel.

What a perfect little hotel and room- like a small apartment. Very comfortable bed, a kitchen and shower. It’s perfect to get to or from the airport. The taxi ride to the airport was included. This is just a wonderful hotel and the proprietress is a friendly and helpful as anyone I’ve met. There are only four rooms so it’s very quiet and safe. I’d recommend this place to anyone and I’ll certainly return again when we come back.

Wonderful and convenient stay near the airport.

Wonderful, cute little hotel close to the airport. Arrived fairly late, so needed a place to stay for one night before taking the shuttle the next morning (which was a couple minute walk away). The owners sent a shuttle to pick us up from the airport, and when we arrived, the owner ran out with an umbrella for us and let us use it to walk to dinner across the street. She was sooooo nice and friendly! When we woke up, they made breakfast for us a 7am, so we could make our shuttle on time. If I ever return to CR, this will be my go-to stop to and from the airport!

Great place to stay for a quick overnight near the airport. The taxi driver who's fare is included for a ride to the airport is prompt and friendly. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room is comfortable and it's nice to have a kitchen.

Really wonderful place and people. Perfect for airport stays. It's right on a main road, so for me it is just a little bit hard to sleep bc the traffic is so loud. But the owner helped us get a ride to the airport at no extra charge at 430 in the morning. Super generous people.

I only stayed there one night but both my room and the people working there were very nice. It is right by the SJO airport, they gave me ear plugs shortly after I arrived that night, and I did not hear any plane/airport noise until about 5:30 am. FYI - the 'free' shuttle is currently only free if you are arriving or departing from an International flight (May-June, 2023).

Perfect for a short stay

The staff and room were excellent. The location near the airport is noisy with poor air quality. The short trip to the airport does allow you to sleep in, however, for early flights.

The hosts were amazing! There was a lot of noise from the road and the beds were uncomfortable so I couldn't sleep.

Property was super cleaned, organized, and beautiful. Host attend us in every matter and was super attentive.

What a gem. Our contact was prompt with all replies, the property was beautiful. Don't let the outside facade fool you, it really is a hidden paradise. The rooms were clean, nice vegetation outside rooms to give privacy, a pretty pool and gathering/eating area, even a hot pepper garden. The breakfast in the morning was terrific, everyone was friendly. We arrived late at night (11:30pm) and were greeted with a smile. All at a reasonable price. It was close to airport (NOT walking distance, mind you) but the air traffic was not obtrusive. Thank you so much!
