Did not meet expectations and price was too high

Accomodations were very clean, kitchen facilities excellent, very comfortable bed and high quality linens, plenty of hot water, a beautiful pool which I didn't get to use. Supremely helpful staff, nice breakfast. Cons Very noisy and close to road, absolutely overpriced, first cottage bedrooms were separated and lots of openings for mosquitoes and insects, no a/c in living area, second cottage was newer, but outside of bedrooms was no a/c so very hot and atuffy

A Wonderful Getaway.

It was a joy to stay here. It is set in rural Ubud but close to restaurants and many attractions. A very large and comfortable villa. Highly Recommended.

Lovely Villa Jacaranda

Villa Jacaranda is a lovely villa, the pool is a good size, breakfast served in the villa everyday. Staff are very nice and helpful.

Devis place was the absolute perfect destination stay for a solo female traveler such as myself. It was for my birthday and the staff were so kind and accommodating. I always felt safe, everything was cleaned daily, and everyone was willing to help with anything. Rides were very easy to get off you didn't feel like walking. I would absolutely stay with Devis Place again.

This property is gorgeous. Every villa has a unique feeling and it's a little away from Ubud city center for more quiet. The villa is owed and run by locals, so you'll be directly supporting the village by staying here. I'm going to book Devi's Place every time I come to Bali.

We loved the Villa and the service. We also asked for help with scheduling an itinerary and Putu was very helpful. Kadek helped us with his car and was very prompt and had good recommendations for activities places to visit around Ubud.

I loved this spot so much that I immediately extended my stay here. It's a family-owned and run business, and you can feel the intentional care in service. Highly recommend this location for people seeking a quiet, beautiful home base while visiting Ubud, Bali.

This place is a hidden gem. We are so lucky to have found it. Staff are gorgeous humans and very kind and helpful. The villa is out of this world. Gorgeous setting, peaceful and beautifully decorated. It has everything you need for your stay. The breakfast with eggs, fruit and toast is just glorious and so beaufully set out by staff in your villa every morning. Our villa had three rooms and a pool. There is one room in the main house with two bathrooms and kitchen and living, dining area (all within a private courtyard) and two more seperate standing rooms with their own bathrooms. The beds are comfortable and queen sized and air conditioned. The worst part of our stay was not booked longer than three nights. We will definitely be back

The villas are well kept and communication with our host was easy. However the WiFi was terrible, which is a basic of an accommodation.

We had a great time at Devi's place. Its walkable to the local village. Food, laundry, massage, coffee, fresh coconuts, all at a close distance. Staff are lovely. The complimentary breakfast is simple, yet fresh and delicious. I would come back with no hesitation.

Blown away by the quality of the stay at Devi’s place. I wasn’t expecting the villa to be so luxurious, it was really a treat for me. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. When I did venture out they were available to give advice and take me to the places I wanted to see. The area is about 2kms from Ubud centre so I spent more time in the area, local spas and Warungs. I recommend Cantika Zest for a spa day out and getting Lisna to come to your villa for a spa day in if it’s raining :) Blissful week away, thank you Putu, Ketut, and family for making my stay so warm and comfortable. I hope to be back soon!

Best vacation ever!

Devi's Place was amazing. If you want to truly experience life in Indonesia - outside of the city, this is the place! My husband and I averaged 7.5 miles walking each day (our choice) and discovered little treasures everywhere we went. We also ate at the local restaurants. We did not experience any stomach issues that some people tend to have. Putu was amazingly responsive. Breakfast was delicious every day that we had it. The fresh local fruit was a great starter for our day. In the middle of the rice paddies, we were able to watch the planting season. We have so much respect for those working in the fields. We enjoyed the private pool and the outside shower. We will be back and we will stay at Devi's Place.

Great Villa

Great villa. Beautiful place and pool area. Only downside was the TV only played DVD’s and the air con in one bedroom needed to be turned back on every couple of hours. Other than that, fantastic place. Cost was minimal for a taxi into Ubud. Would definitely stay here again in future

Tucked away with great views. Ask Putu to arrange an authentic Indonesian dinner - super yummy and reasonably priced. Better than anything you can find in town. Bring your bathing suit bc the pool is spectacular.

Great

A lovely, quiet haven. Our villa surpassed expectation and the photos I’d seen before booking didnt show the space and beauty. Villa Via was beautiful. We had everything we needed and more. Staff were friendly and discreet, popping in to clean our villa when we went out for a walk. Backing onto rice fields, the location is in a quiet village area, perfect for getting away and relaxing. There are plenty of little cafes and convenience stores nearby to pick up any supplies. A torch is a must for walking local streets at night. We loved everything about our stay. We didn’t walk into Ubud, as the roads are a bit narrow and busy, but we spent a couple of dollars on a local driver to run us in. I highly recommend Devi’s Place. We will definitely return.

This has to be the most magical place in Bali! The villa was well laid out and appointed. Quiet and peaceful. The private pool made it feel decadent. Absolutely incredible. We will be back and we will be sending all our friends here. Hated to leave.

This is a lovely peaceful place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of other parts of Bali. Our bungalow was very roomy and it was nice to have a kitchen so we had the option of cooking our own meals. We enjoyed the outdoor bathrooms too and the swimming pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with regard to organising taxis for us. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want a change from a busy resort hotel.

A lil off the grid but nice setting in gardens. Pool was right outside a private villa which made you feel like you were intruding. Staff you lovely. Unfortunatly the air con was useless and the entire place was crawling with ants, spiders and mosqitos, even all through cooking untensils, pots and pans. So badly overrun with them that we stayed for 3 hrs then found different accomodation. No refund or even partial refund was offered.

Great option for Ubud

It was lovely - staff were helpful and kind. I was suprised at how clean it was given the outdoor concept.

Amazing Stay

I can't say enough about how wonderful Devi's Place was. We stayed in the 3-bedroom villa. It was gorgeous. There was plenty of space, a full kitchen, a private pool, and it was set in the middle of a beautiful rice field. The service was amazing. Every staff member took care to make sure every part of our stay was great, including arranging a birthday cake that was waiting for us at our villa after a day of touring. The staff is able to arrange drivers, tours, and anything you need. You also receive a discount at the Cantika Zest spa, which was amazing.

peace and tranquillity

We have just had a week at Devi's place and it was truly amazing. The staff were excellent, always on hand to help, the place was amazing and set in a beautiful quiet little village 25 mins walk to Ubud. We had a beautiful pool right outside our living area and felt completely relaxed. Putri would bring breakfast every morning whenwe ready and Putu organised a personal foot massage from Lisna and it was that good, I had another a few days later along with a back massage to feel completely rejuvenated before our trip back to Melbourne.We dined at Moksa vegan restaurant, twice (5 mins walk out the back gates) as the food was exquisite, even for us carnivores. Also a great view of Mt Agung out through the back gates too that you wouldn't see from the front. We would certainly recommend this place for a peaceful relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud.

Great stay at Devi’s Place

We loved Davi’s. It was hard to know what to expect but reviews were good and I liked the idea of not being right in Ubud itself. Devi’s is perfectly located if you want a village feel. The environment is perfect. Quiet and peaceful. A great intro to the vibe that is Bali and Ubud in particular. Cottage Was unique and very personalised/tasteful. Nothing extravagant ..a bit like staying in a friends house while they’re away. And it grows on you the longer you are there. If you’ve come for the action or accessibility of beingin Ubud itself then maybe this isn’t for you but for those needing their space this is perfect. It’s not easy to get into town unless hire scooter or get a taxi but there’s some nice little cool coffee shops and food available within short walking distance

Gorgeous cottage with shared pool and views over the rice fields. Great location in Penestanan village, close to Ubud, but far enough away to be out of the hubbub!

Great place

Great place to stay, so peacefull and relaxing. The place is well maintained and with really good staff. I was travelling alone and I had a problem with my back, I spent most of the holiday in bed, but thanks to the staff , that has been so caring and attentive, I enjoyed my holiday. I'll be back for sure.

A little oasis of serenity and peacefulness

What a good find! We had the most relaxing 4 nights in this beautiful place with private pool (shared with a second villa) - waking up, we could see directly the pool, the beautiful deity statue and then behind the rice paddies. If you are looking for a real home away from home - the spacious villa with living area and outdoor bathroom definitely allows this. Breakfast gets served in the fully furnished kitchen just for you, no other guest - fresh fruit and coffee as standard, eggs as (paid) add on. Team was incredibly helpful in organising on short notice trips to the volcano (1:30 am start), we were renting a scooter, bicycles are available, airport transfer easily organised and we did an extreme late check out due to a flight at midnight. Flexibility, hospitality and friendliness and helpfulness (recommendations) and an amazing place make this a place to return to. 5 stars from me

Paradise is a rice field

Amazing stay in tranquility. The staff couldn't do anything more to help. Friendliness and part of the family being we even got to play with lucky the dog who sat with us around the pool one morning. Would recommend it to everyone!

Beautiful gardens

Loved being amongst the gardens lovely and peaceful after a days shopping in Ubud,very clean and great staff, good warungs down the road too.

Oasis in picturesque Panestanan

I stayed in Jacaranda Cottage and it was absolutely delightful. The property is so picturesque as is the surrounding area and it was wonderful exploring the area and visiting Cantika Zest for a fabulous massage just down the road. It is lovely and quiet but only a short trip to bustling downtown Ubub. I would definitely recommend Devi's place.

Perfect stay

We had a perfect four-night stay at Devi's Place. We were looking for a relaxing stay in a rural Balinese setting, and this property delivered it and more. Who can say no to a private pool overlooking the rice paddies? We want to give credits to the hard-working staff who were helpful, friendly and committed to making our stay a perfect one. The property is well-kept and well-looked after by a wonderful group of people. Highly recommended!

Beautiful spot to stay

Lovely place to stay. We stayed in a Bungalow for 7 day s and loved every minute. Quiet and private accomodation. The staff were outstanding. They could not help us enough. They made tour bookings, transport bookings, recommended eateries and if they couldn't help us they asked one of their extended family to step in. It was fantastic. It was overall a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend it and we will be back.

Devi's Place is a gem and Villa Mandala is a gorgeous villa with a divine indoor/outdoor living room and kitchen and blissful pool. We loved the area too, though it's hard to leave for even a few hours since the spot is so serene. Internet was largely great (could stream videos and skype) though it did go out one evening briefly - this has happened to us at other nice places in Bali and was only an issue that one time. We did not see any mosquitos at Villa Mandala - it gets a nice cross-breeze. Staff helpful and friendly. We'll be back!

A beautiful place to relax and retreat

I came to Bali to have a special time with my teenage daughters. Devi's place was absolutely perfect for that. It was the sanctuary that held us in a loving embrace as we nurtured our mother-daughter-sister-relationships. It is perfect distance from Upud, close enough to go there as often as we want and far enough away to have some peace and quiet. Both my daughters and I would love to return to Devi's place again one day.

Lovely stay at Devi's place, so private and peaceful. The breakfast was nice and fresh and promptly delivered. It was great to feel safe there as I was traveling alone and the security was good and low key. I stayed for 20 days and would have stayed longer if I could. Scooter hire was very convenient with new scooter in good condition. The aircon worked really well. Awesome stay.

Peaceful, beautiful

We stayed at Devi's place for five days during the rainy season. Even when it was pouring, we could sit in our bungalow and l enjoy the beautiful rice field views. The breeze from the fields kept the mosquitos away. It is a beautiful relaxing setting.
