Staff were very friendly and accomadating . Villa was very nice and clean . Second time staying there !

The staff were lovely and the rooms were very well sized, sitting room and mini kitchen, water provided from a dispenser so never ran out. Four poster bed with great pillows.... dressing room with cupboards and safe and the bathroom had both bath and large shower. Outside my room, had a private verandah to sit on with pool view and the gardens are beautiful and well maintained.... breakfasts are yummy and for me, loved the mother cat and her baby who came to sit with me, think they like bacon and sausage! Turn left as you leave the hotel grounds and the first Balinese massage parlour you come to, go in. It's not push but Maudie and Wayun give a wonderful full body massage

Spacious. Reasonable price. The room was in need of maintenance and update. Pool and kitchen were in need of repair. Bathroom was good. Sealed room was exceptional. Breakfast was great. This place would be amazing with some tender loving care, but with that price, you can't expect better. Good, not great stay.

Villa was great, the break is decent but if you want to change it up there is a really good cafe on the street

We have just finished our stay at Desamuda, and everything was just perfect, the staff are so nice, welcoming and helpful. The resort itself is incredible with nice pools and beautiful gardens.

Had a great stay and would happily return, Villa was spacious and comfortable.

We had the most wonderful 2 weeks at Desamuda village. The staff were incredible, so attentive, they couldn’t do enough for us, in particular Wini & Dwi, they were so friendly! The facilities were amazing. We had a 3 bedroom Villa which each had 3 bathrooms and a pool, it was great. There is also a further 2 big pools on site. The food is amazing, we ate most of our meals here (and drank lots of yummy cocktails too!). Breakfast was so good, a range of fruit, salad, pastries, different breads, hot food, plus a live cooking station (think bacon, sausages, omelettes, noodles, rice dishes). Something different everyday we never had a bad meal! Concierge were also incredibly helpful in organising trips and taxis, and also things like massages. Everything is also such a good price! The place has 24/7 security guards and is just off a busy street but is serene and you can’t hear the traffic. Mini mart 2 min walk for the essentials. Great location for getting to all the tourist spots. We are planning our next trip over at Desamuda already!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Desamuda - the staff were amazing and always went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed. The location was great, nice and quiet away from the noise and busyness. Will definitely come back to stay next time we come back to Bali

Beautiful 2-bedroom villa with ample space for my boys and I. They loved the private pool off the dining room and the amazing buffet breakfast! Although we were located in busy Seminyak, it was quiet and peaceful… an oasis away from the busy streets. Thanks for having us.

Wonderful hotel with a lovely pool. Lots of options and breakfast and really lovely staff. The hotel is in an ideal location with lots of shops, bars, restaurants and clubs around.

Amazing place.set back off the main shopping street, can't praise the place enough the rooms are large with private plunge pool it's clean and the gardens and restaurant area are beautiful,the best thing about this place are the staff who are amazing.As others have said maybe a little tlc here and there but it didn't take anything away from the, place I loved it

We had a great stay here. Villa was large and very comfortable with everything you could need. The Villa pool was a decent size but the main pool was great- clean, large and very well maintained. Despite being only a minute from the Main Street it was really quiet and serene at the resort. Breakfast was good. Overall great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

It is a little old and the wear and tear is beginning to show. But it was clean, all functions worked and staff were fantastic

Overall good value for money, we stayed in a 3bed villa with pool for 7 nights. We did have a very bad experience on the last day when we returned to our room from lunch and found all of our bags had been taken. We went to reception and were told there staff had packed up our stuff and put in storage due to not checking out at 12noon. I said I had organized with someone at reception a few days earlier for late check out at 8pm due to late flight. Staff member told me they would charge me half room rate and I pay at checkout at 8pm. We did manage to get another room on the property till 8pm but it had already ruined are holiday at that point. It was a shame as the villa we stayed in was great and the garden well established. The property could do with a paint and modernization however but then I guess they would charge more?

Staff were fantastic and super friendly. The property has amazing gardens and swimming pool. Very convenient location for walking to the beach or other areas of Seminyak. Also very easy to get a cab or more from the main road

Just loved it

This was a last minute booking after we were so disappointed with the place we originally booked and it was the biggest relief. The staff are so accommodating and lovely. The facilities were fantastic and offered everything you could want from a resort but with the quiet atmosphere of a small village retreat. The building itself needs a bit of maintenance but that is not uncommon in Bali. The overall vibe of the place gives such culture with peace. Would stay there again as it’s also a terrific location.

Had a great time at the Desamuda, the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was always good food. In a good area but due to the distance from the street entry it is nice and quiet.

We love Desamuda Village and come back every year. If you want a western, pristine hotel it may not be for you but that’s not what we come to Bali for. Yes there are areas that are a little run down but the deluxe pool villas we have always stayed in are just beautiful. Open air living rooms and bathrooms, well air conditioned bathrooms. Beautiful sun drenched pools to enjoy. We always indulge in the amazing spa services having staff perform massages in our villa by the pool. The grounds are immaculately kept and the staff and incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The location is excellent for walking to amazing cafes and restaurants, double six beach. It’s off the Main Street too so it’s beautiful and quiet yet right on the doorstep of so many great dining hotspots. Not as hectic as Canggu and not as scrappy as Kuta, this Seminyak location is within a half hour drive of both locations of you choose to visit. We go back every year because it’s peaceful, well located and the staff are excellent, going out of their way to help in any way possible. We will continue to return for these reason. Love it!

I loved this place so much I wish we could’ve stayed longer. The space is large, the bed is comfortable, the pools are amazing, the staff is exceptional, the breakfasts are tasty with lots of options. It’s close to many shops and restaurants too. I want to return so much!

Great staff

The location and staff are extremely pleasing. Rooms are excellent value for money. Rooms and surrounds are very clean, however some room maintenance is required but does not detract from the overall experience. Highly recommend, for couples or families!

Good location with it's easy accessibility to spa, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Near the beach as well. Friendly staff. The villa may need a face lifting to replace the bath tubs and swimming pool floors otherwise we enjoy the stay there.

Staffs are exceptional!! We stayed for 7N in 3BR villa. 1 night the aircon in 1 BR was broken. Housekeeping checked but couldn’t fixed it. We were offered to move to other villa, but we preferred not as it waa rainy & cool night.The morning after, technician came to fix. The other day, a jewelry was accidentally forgotten and left on the bed side. It was still there when we returned from a day trip. Any request was followed up quickly. Highly recommended. Definitely will be back.

We loved this place. Just the right amount of quiet for a relaxing stay! Loved our villa with its pool. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower. Otherwise we highly recommend!

Staff are very helpful.

2 bedroom villa was spacious and well equipped. The private lap pool was ideal for relaxing after a long day. Staff were friendly and efficient. The two main pools were lovely, although not shaded so it got very hot when in the pool in the middle of the day. Desamuda Village is ideally located near to all amenities and it is easy to get everywhere we needed to go.

Hygiene none existent. Worse breakfast we have ever experienced in all our travels.

Delightful Stay With High Service Level

Our family have had a fantastic six nights stay at the 2-storey, 2-bedroom villa with a private pool. The resort arranged for free transfers to and from the airport as well as one-way shuttle service around Seminyak, Kuta and Legian. Both morning and evening housekeeping services were provided and reasonable Indonesian & western breakfasts were also provided. The service level of the staff members was good. We did not encounter any mosquitoes as nets, coils and insecticide were provided. There were also good eating outlets just outside the villa and a wet morning market about 10 minutes walk from the villa. We will stay at the villa again should we visit Bali again!

Beautiful resort which is both cosy and charming. Lovely ambience for a well-deserved break, to be rejuvenated and revived. Staff there are friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable. We are pleased to have chosen Desamuda and will recommend to others.

Loved the outdoor showers in the villas. The villas also have a private pool.

Staff amazing nothing too much trouble. Breakfast good and villa lovely. Wish some air conditioning at breakfast and reception but all outside like most Bali hotels so o different to any where else. Would definitely stay again v

PERFECT GETAWAY

The service of ALL staff members (gardner, cleaners, waiters, maintenance, reception- EVERYONE!) was impeccable! Staff always had a friendly greeting and smile, always thanking us for staying with them and treating us excellent! The hotel also arranged for a driver to and from the aiport in a big spacious car and drop off to waterbom park/shopping. The cleanliness is the best of any hotel ive ever stayed at- twice a day cleaning! Perfect! The deluxe villa itself was amazing, big bedroom, open kitchen/bathroom and lounge area. The pool was great to swim in! The edges of the pool however were quite sharp and the pool light came off but the staff swiftly fixed this. The other downfall of the pool is that the waterfall is SO loud, not much of a bother unless your on the phone- theres no control for it in the room either so you cant turn it off. The buffet breakfast was excellent! The main pool area is great too, large pool and deep enough for adults. The room service food was excellent and tasted great! Would recommend the hotel getting more comfy mattress as it was very hard. The shower had little pressure as well. The location was great, so close to shops & a short 10min walk to the beach! Perfect stay and will definately be staying again! WIFI can be slow at times.

We came to Bali for the first time and Desamuda Village made our trip as wonderful as it could be. The place is not far from airport, check in was easy . Staff was amazing in every way. We Stayed in Deluxe suite Villa which was awesome, our own clean private pool , I really liked the the concept of open living room and semi open bathroom. The bedroom is quite spacious, clean and peaceful. We had in room massages each day everyday because the staff served us really well. Breakfast in pool is the cherry on the icing for me . would definitely recommend this place if you need a relaxing vacation.Kudos to the team and thanks for making it so memorable.

Loved the villa would recommend a guest laundry though especially for families. Disliked walking straight out into the hagglers but otherwise service was fantastic.

Beautiful resort and rooms. Main pool areas were also vry nice in addition to private pool in our room. Staff also super friendly and helpful. Helped us arrange transport to Gili Islands which was great as not everyone speaks great English.

Great break in Seminyak

Great location in Seminyak. Nice and quiet, set back off a major road. Friendly and attentive staff. Lovely pool and grounds. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants, the beach and shops. WiFi very patchy in Villa but okay outside of the villa. Had a villa with plunge pool which was very nice. Great shower with good water pressure and icy cold air-conditioner.

Definitely best place we have stayed

We absolutely loved this place! The staff could not be faulted. So kind, considerate and gracious. The gardens, pools, walkways are kept immaculate. Villas are homely and very cozy with staff cleaning in the morning and in the afternoon they return to spray in case of mozzies, and even turn the beds back! Definitely hated to leave!

False advertising

I booked a Deluxe villa with a private pool but it was small....and more like a 6 person spa without the spa function. And I thought “Villa” means free stand building....we had two rooms on the floor above us (2 different families) and use the stairs attached to our “villa”. On the other side of the stairs, there’s another family. Therefore when we are in our “ villa”, we can hear all coming and going, plus all the conversations. Luckily, we were never in the room for too long. The best asset of Desamuda Village has is the staffs. They always happy to help and with a smile.

Swcluded in the heart of Seminyak, hidden gem

Very clean room, great prices for in-room spa services. Good breakfast. Private pool in our 1-bedroom villa was great. Outdoor bathroom was amazing. Off of the main road in Seminyak, you wouldn't even know it was there. Very friendly staff. Set the standard very high for places to stay (we would always compare the other places we stayed at later in our trip to Desamuda and wish we were back there).

Beautiful Garden setting, close to shops, galleries and cafes. Very friendly and helpful staff.

They did not have a room like the one requested on our reservation, so in exchange we got a massive three bathroom villa just for two, we did not need the extra rooms, but the big pool was a good advantage. Nice breakfast boat for the private pool.

Luxury Escape

The staff were professional. The rooms were stunning. The facilities were fantastic. The location was convenient. Lots of extras included to make your stay special.

Great central location

Staff were fantastic, breakfast was great and the gardens and grounds were beautiful. The 1 bedroom villa was very dissapointing. The pool was more like a paddle pool and the furniture in the living room was unsatisfactory. No DVD player. Communication with customers could be better as there was no-one to collect us from Airport.

Good facilities, very helpful and friendly staff especially at reception where they organised drivers for us. Buffet breakfast was good with a large variety of food to choose from. Overall a very enjoyable experience for our family and would definitely go back.

Birthday Trip

I love the village concept. I like the idea of having water cooler can dispense hot, cold and warm water. The bed is in perfect condition. The indoor shower has minor issues for my room, the toilet has a temporary drain smell everytime after flushing. Other than that, the stay was awesome, one of the staff gave me a birthday cake during my last day of stay. Thank you!

Quiet villas in central Seminyak

We arrived at the Villa at 1.30am to be greeted by very friendly and courteous staff who made sure the check in process was swift and easy so that we could fall gratefully into our very comfortable bed as quickly as possible. Breakfast was delicious and there was lots of it. Although we were right in the middle of a major shopping area, it was very quiet and peaceful at Desamuda.

ok needs more lounges around pool only 4 available and no pool person on duty Great to have the huge bottle of water in the room nice and cold and never runs out Staff super helpful especially service desk with free transport to any local area and suggesting and booking us an Uber when we wanted to go to Nusa Dua

Desmuda Villas Seminyak

Wonderful staff, clean and maintained facilities. A great part of Seminyak without all the tourists & mayhem. I loved the private pool and the staff were so helpful and tried their utmost to do whatever they could if I wanted something.

Great Villa

Staff is amazing. Amount of people staying in the villa was quite enjoyable because it's not overcrowded like hotels. Outside shower was an amazing feature, used it everyday. Only thing that bothered me was the room itself could be more updated and painted-walls were a bit dirty, but the room itself felt comfortable. Free breakfast buffet and in house restaurant was convenient and good. Location was perfect-walkable to the beach (15 min), shops, market, and restaurants.

We loved it. Was our 1st time to Bali so we had no idea what to expect. But we're very happy with our stay.
