The hotel is in a convenient location, next to the main tourist attractions. The views from the terrace are beautiful.

The hotel is in a great, easily accessible yet quiet location. It’s super charming old mansion and the staff is generally very helpful. The breakfast on the roof top is the most amazing part of the whole experience although the gentleman who works up there could be more friendly.

Everything was A , including the old world decor of the upgraded room. However, their hospitality of the staff was AWESOME and this is where the property stands out and deserves a 10-star rating out of 5 !

Exceptional service

The staff could not have been more accommodating on our first trip to Istanbul. They helped us negotiate with cab drivers and secured drivers they knew when possible. They helped my wife negotiate some of the steps in this old section of the city. The waiter in the dining room arranged for dinner delivery from a friend of his when I came upstairs on an evening when the restaurant wasn't open. The hotel is close to major points of interest, which is a plus, but the level of caring service was the most important value.

Great people

The hotel is an old Ottoman house and old decor is really not our thing. There are other things that are old in the hotel like the towels, the flat iron and in our room the hair blower is not really functioning well. Location wise, it is the best for us. It’s near to almost every tourist spots in old city. Me and my partner enjoys walking so we never had to use taxi during our stay except for going to the airport. If you are planning to go visit the new city, the tram station and bus station is just walking distance as well. Lots of restaurants nearby as well and a there’s a small grocery store right in front of the hotel in case you need something. Breakfast buffet was something we look forward to everyday. The buffet spread was not that much but was enough to satisfy our morning cravings. Food served was not that disappointing. The view from the restaurant is great. We were In Istanbul for my birthday actually and I appreciated it so much that they were so courteous to leave a small birthday cake and a greeting in the room. 😊 Overall, it was not bad all. Worth every penny that we paid for. Staff were very accommodating as well.

The Dersaadet Hotel has a perfect location in Sultanahmet and is in easy walking distance of many tourist sites such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Hippodrome. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakast on the rooftop was good. What was extra special were the friendly and helpful staff who were always there to help meet your needs. They gave advice and recommendations that were invaluable to us.

Location and service are the best!

This is an older property which has been nicely updated, keeping much of the original charm. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. They helped greatly in guiding us around the area and in planning our days. Excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms.

Very convenient location if you want to independently explore the historical Istanbul. Also felt very safe. Lots of food option near by. The roof top - both at breakfast and at night - are amazing.

I love staying here! And I always stay here when visiting Istanbul. The staff is so kind and helpful. They look out for me, a woman traveling alone. Rooms are clean and pleasant. Mattress is perfect! Maids service is excellent.

Wonderful Stay!

Its walkable to all the major tourist places, and also to tram station. Staff are very nice and helpful, they treat you really very well, answer all our questions. Tea at the welcome while getting paperwork done is really nice. Upgraded our room from street view to Bosphorus view. Only complaints bathroom small but adjustable as im petite, hair dryer is very old. Breakfast has limited options

Dersaadet is just a stone’s throw from the major mosques in Istanbul and has a great roof terrace. Although in a humming district, the hotel was quiet. Bed was comfortable although the sheet we had was not large enough to cover us. AC worked well. Breakfast was excellent with a good combination of Turkish and western options.

definitely not a 4 star, I would not give it more that 2star. It took us a while to check in, the front desk person asked for passport and then asked us to fill a form, when ai asked why do you need this for even my 9 yr old he said its the law. The room was old and not at all comfortable. When I went downstairs to ask for dinner options, the guy at the front desk was smoking cigarettes outside and even he saw me kept ne waiting for 4-5 min before he walks in. I immediately checked out of the holet and went to Hilton. Asked if I will get any refund for at least 2nd day , he refused and said its not thier problem and since I checked in, they cant issue any refund regardless how many days I am staying. I would stay away from this place.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Dersaadat. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of many attractions. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional, they were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. I hope to return someday. Thank you to all the staff at Dersaadat for making our trip so special! Week stay in Istanbul

It was a great experience staying at the hotel since it is so close to all the attractions like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi palace etc and also has a lot of restaurants and a tram stop.

I really liked this hotel. It provided a nice and quiet atmosphere in the middle of a busy area. The staff really made me feel welcome and safe. I really appreciated that.

Dersaadet is a good place to stay. The staff is great. They go out of their way to serve you. Breakfasts are delicious. It’s a good hotel to feel the real Turkish hospitality.

The Blowdryer is terrible. There is only 1 setting and it’s low intensity. You have to keep your finger on the Blowdryer the entire time. My middle finger was genuinely sprained afterwards since i have thick middle eastern hair and probably took an hour to dry my hair due to holding down the button the entire time. Make sure to bring your own hair dryer. The shower is extremely small— and I’m a very thin woman— even for me it was awfully small and a safety hazard. The duvet wasn’t property put on one our twin beds. I have zero complaints with the staff. They were all nice and hospitable people, but the hotel and amenities were not good quality.

The staff is wonderful

We were told that rooms were not available for upgrade. We were placed in a very old room with an extremely small shower that barely fit one person. The A/C unit was loud and some nights it blew hot air. Very old hotel that needs a major update/ renovation. I have to admit that the small restaurant staff were extremely nice and accommodating. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Staff are very helpful and always eager to serve. This small hotel is blessed with a team of dedicated staff. They actually made me feel like a VIP. The location is close to major attractions. If I ever revisit Istanbul, I would surely like to stay with them again.

Wonderful staff charming hotel Roof breakfast terrace is amazing

It is an old-style hotel, very pleasant, and in an excellent location. The staff is courteous and helpful, and the top floor terrace has one of the best views around. Breakfast, with a dedicated cook creating different dishes each day, is stupendous, and the terrace is open for drinks at any hour. A room with sea view costs a bit more, but it is worth it. Absolutely recommended!

We decided to book Dersaadet Hotel after reviewing many options around the area and after reading one of the reviews that said something to the effect: just book it. You cannot go wrong with this hotel. The staff is so very nice. The reviewer was just right on all counts. This is a super comfortable hotel with a staff that is so very helpful and kind. Very helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic location. Great view from rooftop terrace where we had really nice breakfast.

What we liked the most was that it felt authentic. The building itself is an Ottoman style building with lots of character. Inside has just as much character and charm. The staff were superb… all of them. Breakfast is on the terrace and is small and beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A real delight in Istanbul

A super hotel. A charming hotel in a good location. Staff are excellent. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient. This is a far better hotel than the standard impersonal hotel of the same price.

We had a really lovely 3-night stay here in Istanbul. All the staff were really helpful and friendly and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and cocktails on the roof terrace. The hotel is also in a superb location near Sultanahmet Square and all the main sites. Highly recommended.

Excellent staff, extremely dated hotel

Excellent location, and exceptional service by all staff. The hotel is extremely dated however, with run down furniture and very basic bathroom fixtures. You can hear your neighbors talking, and outside noise all night. 5 stars for the entire staff, but that is the only redeeming quality. Breakfast was very basic, and seemed stale on day 2 of our stay. Upcharge for juice, eggs and coffee, which was annoying. Location was excellent, but overall a 1* stay in my opinion.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. I received an upgrade because of my VIP status. Gorgeous hotel. First i was met by an extremely professional staff who all spoke English. Check in was fast and uninterrupted. They sat us in the in a cozy lobby and served us tea while baggage was quickly transferred to the room. Super clean room full of amenities. It was like stepping back into history. The decor was stunning. Very comfy bed. A large sofa/bed under the window that opens up to a view of the sea. Spacious turkish bath filled with toiletries including a loofah and two turkish robes and slippers. I cannot give this hotel enough justice. I have been to Sultan Ahmet area many times. Found this hotel by accident. Room service is available. In the terrace they serve breakfast with a gorgeous view of the Blue Mosque & Marmara & the Bosphorus. When you leave the hotel. Many shops & taxis. Arasta Bazaar is exactly behind with direct access through it to Sultan Ahmet Square & Hagia Sophia. Definitely recommend & will definitely return to.

I choose the room with Turkish Bath and asked hotel staff to explain to me How to use this, as I am from different culture of washing 😀 The Staff are just most kindest, professional, hardworking people, who made your stay truly memorable and special. It has a originality stamped over it, it is not some corporate stop over, you get a full Turkish flavour staying there.

The property was in an excellent location for walking to most of the major attractions. There were several dining option close by, so you never had to venture far to find a decent meal. The staff was super helpful and everyone there was incredibly nice.

A Wonderful Stay in Istanbul

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel in Istanbul and the experience was nothing short of fantastic. One of the highlights of the hotel was its restaurant which boasted exquisite views that added a magical touch to our dining experience. Moreover, I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to Mr. Farrokhpour, whose warm-heartedness significantly enhanced our stay. His willingness to go the extra mile in ensuring our comfort did not go unnoticed and was a testament to the exceptional customer service provided at this establishment.

The hotel is in authentic Turkish style that I truly appreciated. Breakfast on the terrace was amazing. Very friendly staff-I felt very welcoming. It was an unplanned trip as my destination for Tel Aviv was cancelled due to unfortunate situation. I would recommend anyone to experience the culture by staying in the hotel!

Outstanding "old Istanbul" boutique hotel in ancient part of town. Only 5 mins easy walk to BLue Mosque area with Aya Sophia and Topkapi also right there. If you ever can't find a wonderful place to eat in this place (or Turkiye in general) then don't bother to explore this wnderment of a place. Shopping too. Don't forget the Hamam . The staff was excellent. Rooftop dining with gazillion dollar views.

Wow, we were very impressed with the Dersaadet Hotel. First of all was the service, we were treated like kings and queens, it was good, courteous and fast. We liked the overall antique motive of the hotel. And it was close to many famous attractions like Sofia and the Blue as well as easy to follow public transportation. We just recommended to a friend who plans to go there within the next two months. We will definitely come back.

We had a very pleasant stay at Dersaadet. The staff was very helpful and kind. They greeted us with a delicious cup of turkish tea and lokum (who does that really?). Our room was ready for us before check in time and it was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely go back and recommend it to friends and family. Thank you to the entire staff for making our trip worthwhile.

Return to Istanbul

This hotel is in a quiet area by the Blue and Hagia Sofia mosques. Literally a couple minutes walk. It has a beautiful rooftop breakfast patio and at night bar that looks over the Bosporus towards the Asian side of Istanbul. You can sit and chill any time of the day on the patio. The AC worked great which we were grateful because it was close to 90 degrees. The staff are extremely helpful and curious and the breakfast was wonderful. I also walked a block to a Hammam (Turkish bath) for $80 and got my body scrubbed and massages out all my aches from travel. Great location and would recommend staying here.

This beautiful hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Istanbul near the Blue Mosque. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic. The service is incredible and one reason why I stayed here two summers in a row. Recommended for English speakers.

Excellent stay for great value

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was located near the blue mosque and hagia sophia and the sultanamet metro station. We felt good walking to these sites especially because the queues are long. The hotel had a lot of character, and furnished very nicely. Our rooms were a bit small but nothing to complain because the hotel has a great location. A full breakfast is served at the roofdeck starting 8am.

We arrived to a warm welcome, served apple tea while being checked in and our luggage was taken to our room. Dersaadet Hotel is a traditional hotel the staff are all very helpful & friendly. Breakfast is served on the rooftop which has good views of the area & the Bosphorous a good way to start the day. The rooftop is also the bar in the evening. Good walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome and Grand Bazaar

This is a great hotel and I’m so glad we stayed here. The staff are friendly, helpful, and provide excellent customer service. The hotel is in an excellent location. We could easily walk to all the sights, but it is off of the Main Street so it is quiet. We felt very safe. All areas of the hotel were super clean. The rooftop terrace has expansive views of the sea and also the Blue Mosque. I loved sitting up there for breakfast and also a drink in the evening. There are places to sit outside and inside. Our room was comfortable and the air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked great. They really want you to feel comfortable and offer up additional pillows and other amenities, if needed.
