Very clean and close proximity to Kyoto station. Extremely accessible!

It was really a nice hotel to stay as we can sleep well and humidity was well control. Very clean as well. First time went in cannot find the slope. Probably have proper signage to guide tourists with luggages. The only short is payment cannot by paywave. I forgot my physical card and had to pay by another credit card.

Convenient location close to Kyoto station and shopping malls. Clean, spacious rooms and decent buffet breakfast. Laundry machines available as well.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean. It is very close to Kyoto station and taking the public transit was a breeze. The hotel is very close to major tourist attractions and there are tons of dining options in the area. We highly recommend this hotel and we will for sure stay here again.

Great hotel. Walking distance from Kyoto stations and also accessible by underpass shopping mall. Many dining options nearby. There is even a police post at the ground level. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in a triple room which was spacious and had traditional Japanese styling with a sliding screen, raised floor and mats. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is very close to the station, shops and restaurants which is practical but it’s a busy area.

Loved this hotel. SUPER close to the train station which was amazing. Bed was comfortable. The PJs that were supplied were my absolute favorite of our whole trip. Would come back to this hotel

The hotel is right above Kyoto station. Just walk allllll the way down the East underground exit past the Kyoto tower and go up the escalator. This hotel was beautiful and clean. It’s in the center of everything, Koboyashi is right next door for all your dining, electronic and clothing shopping including Uniqlo, a supermarket etc. Amenities are 100! About 8 washers/dryers, an attached restaurant with daily buffet, and packets of face wash, lotion, and other daily skincare routine stuff that I didn’t pack. Front desk staff can be a little more accommodating and helpful though, some were not friendly.

Central location and comfortable.

Located within walking distance from the main station it was easy to locate and close to multiple formats of transport. Also able to be accessed directly from below street level walkways from Kyoto station which was appreciated in wet weather. The room was on the smaller size for anyone who had a large luggage but a good selection of amenity supplies from reception and good washing facilities for those needing them. Next good shopping and dining options.

Hotel very comfortable and close Kyoto station and restaurant.

The facility is nicely located at the station. The staff are very helpful in suggesting places to eat and even help us with reservations. My family really enjoyed the soap and lotion provided. The room and lobby area are also very nice. Will definitely come back with the whole family.

It is nice and convenience hotel to stay in Kyoto definitely, and strong recommended, especial now the off season rate is very fair. The underground path directly lead to hotel entrance, and shopping and dinning options are the number one reason to choose back stay again if travel, but thinking about delivery our heavy luggage to airport was told that no more having this service, only to next hotel, makes our trip a little mess.We walked to Yamamoto delivery company and asked help.

Had a great stay at the Daiwa, sadly cut short because of typhoon Shanshan. The staff were incredible, particularly Miriya on the front desk who went above and beyond to help us with our booking. Love this hotel.

Staff was very attentive and helpful; nice to have washer and dryer; it would be helpful if the directions for the combined washer/dryer were in English. Very difficult to manage the computerized system otherwise. Great location, small but quite manageable. Would recommend.

Convenient and Comfortable.

Right beside the Kyoto station, it was a convenient stay for my family as we explored Kyoto. One can walk around for dining, groceries etc. The location was key for us and did not disappoint. We traveled by buses and later by shinkasen. The courier service from the hotel was seamless (highly recommended to ship suitcases between cities)

Absolutely CONVENIENT location!

We did not realize the hotel is only steps away from the Kyoto Train Station and Kyoto Yodobashi multi-floor shopping and eating area! We could've stayed days in the hotel and train station without ever walking out in the sun! Kyoto Tower was only steps away. Many delicius restaurants nearby. Room was spacious, clean, staff was friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, able to walk to the metro station directly to the hotel as it is connected to it, very convenient location, walking distance to the palace. The bathroom was amazing, after a month in Asia, we really enjoy the shower at this hotel as it was American style and the room was bigger than we expected being in Japan

Nice, rooms are small

The hallway is a bit dim The room was smaller than I expected. Like all hotels, i never understand why there are not more towel bars or door hooks put in the bathroom. If you want people to reuse their towels, you need to give them a place to hang them up.

The staff were top notch and very helpful. Location is fantastic for being close to the train station but not too close. Restaurants and shopping close by. Easy access to public transportation or the taxi stand.

Comfortable rooms with blackout curtains and good sound proofing to ensure a good night's sleep. There was some road noise since the hotel only has 5-6 floors, however it was not a busy road. They had a good sized bathroom with separate bath area and excellent amenities. The hotel has an entrance from the Kyoto train station, and is close to many shopping centres and restaurants. Overall I was happy with the place and would recommend it.

Wonderful location in regards to convenient station accessibility but honestly a bit older property compared to others we stayed at during our Japan Trip and Staff/Service left more to be desired to be honest. For reference some places we stayed were Centara Grand Osaka, Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince in Tokyo which were excellent in comparison. For example, we booked a nonsmoking three person room and walked into a smoking room. Staff apologized and changed the room (initially told me there wasn’t any left but when I pressed they found a room). My wife and son took the elevator up, walked to the end of the hall on the floor to the new room as the clerk had written on the key folder but it didn’t work. We were tired coming from Tokyo so bit perturbed at this juncture. I went downstairs and they apologized because they wrote the wrong room number on the key folder—which worked when attempted on the right room. Another example: Free waters were offered in the room but since we asked for no service during or two day stay they weren’t replaced. When checking out my wife asked for one bottle of water for my 9 year old son before catching the train and they said they could not because we had already checked out about 30 min prior so weee no longer a guest. I went to the desk and asked another clerk and she gave me a bottle. Overall: Subpar service imho, ok hotel, very convenient to station for areas of attractions.

Clean, minimalist, 2 blocks from Kyoto Station

Clean, minimalist, modern hotel conveniently located only 2.5 blocks from Kyoto Station. Easily walkable to trains, bus stops, restaurants, 24-hour convenience stores, and amazing Japanese shopping malls with mouth-watering restaurnt floors and food halls. Most of the hotel staff speaks limited English but are happy to bust out their phones to translate. Room was a bit cramped but not a problem as we spent the entire day out. We booked the 4-person room which had 4 full size beds but no sofa. Beds were very firm (common in Asia). Hotel provides pajamas for the guests to wear to bed! Optional hotel breakfast is only so-so, there are far tastier things to eat in the train station!

Great place for a walking distance to Kyoto station

I loved this property because it was close to almost everything, the breakfast was okay. They used to clean your room every days but now you must request to have them clean your room. I think now all Japan hotels have to follow the eco-cleaning to save money. The room is Small but cozy

Very well located! You can even walk from Kyoto station underground straight to hotel. Just follow the sign underground east and keep going towards Kyoto Tower under ground entrance, then Hotel will be 50 mts after.

The best hotel we stayed at in our entire trip. Gorgeous room, amazing hotel, great buffet breakfast option, and excellent staff. Seriously I can’t recommend this place enough. Well worth every single cent, with most of the credit going to the staff.

The hotel is situated near Kyoto station. The direction given on line was quite confusing. It should have directed to walk straight out of the front or the station, above ground . Th underground way is for those locals who know their way. The hotel breakfast was unsatisfactory-inferior quality. The Vietnamese restaurant on site served one of the worst meals.

Very convenient location minutes from the train station and two Temples. Lots of dinner options around the hotel. The breakfast left something to be desired. Would recommend the hotel.

This hotel was very convenient for its proximity to the Kyoto JR station. In addition, there were many stores and restaurants in the area to eat which made it nice.

This property is located right off of the tunnel system for the train. It's the perfect location to be close to the center of Kyoto while being able to walk to the trains. Also the rooms are newly renovated and very tastefully designed and appointed.

This hotel was almost perfect for family travel except one thing - there was only 3 coin-operated laundry machines in the hotel. I had hard time waiting for laundry machine. Otherwise, this hotel should deserve a five-star rating.

Excellent hotel - close to Kyoto main station.

Hotel is behind Kyoto tower. Exit from the central exit of Kyoto station and you will be able to see the Kyoto tower. Behind the tower is Yodobashi shopping, then is the hotel. Less than 5 minutes walk. The 11th floor ramen at Kyoto station Isetan is very nice, lots of options. Very convenient place to stay and room is big enough and comfortable. Highly recommend for stays.

The room was spacious, new and clean. Everything was great, especially the in-room amenities. They gave us steam eye masks, cooling foot pads, and Mikimoto cosmestic bags for every guests every nights, as well as a foot massage machine. We love it here.

Check in was quick and easy. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and can communicate in english well.

heart of Kyoto, easy connection to all the attractions

Loved our stay at this hotel. Walkable from Kyoto station and bus stops. Met all our expectations such as cleanliness , comfy beds and soaker tub to melt your tired muscles after a lot of sightseeing. Laundry facility is available to use and also a microwave at the 2nd flr. Will definitely add this hotel chain to my list of accommodation preferences in our travels.

An easy walk from the train station. There is a very impressive entrance and walk to the front desk for check-in. So spacious and lovely. We had high hopes that our upgraded room would have a bit of extra space. No such luck. The front desk was unable to accommodate us in moving to a larger room. The bed was against the wall. The shower in the bathtub sprayed all over the room. Other than the proximity to the train station, there is nothing much of interest in this neighborhood. You must travel away from the hotel for the most interesting food and sights.

Really nice hotel, spacious room. Booked a smoking room and the staff were really friendly and accommodating about changing it to non-smoking. Helped us unwrap our luggage when we had it shipped. Central location, near the station and not too far from the mall.

Got a freshly smoked room that the smoke lingered. No matter how much I vented the room by opening the window or spraying with air refresher, I was reminded each time I stepped in. Oddly the corridors smelled fresh. I noticed my Japanese colleagues no longer smoked or ones that do have retired. That was probably the only negative part of my stay. Neutral. - I asked the reception to help me with a hotel reservation, she dialed the number and I had to speak to the restaurant direct, fortunately the restaurant spoke English. Good. - Hotel very close to the Kyoto station, next to Yodobashi and many bus lines. Breakfast was decent, especially the pho noodles and rice porridge. Bad - the bean to cup coffee machine was broken during my entire stay. The miso soup was too strong in fishy taste for my liking and least favourite of all the miso soups compared with the other hotels in my stay.

Perfect Location

Clean environment, Quick service and Efficient operation

Really enjoyed the four nights I spent here. The breakfast buffet was acceptable and had lots of different dishes, both American and Asian. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning broke my first night and they moved me to a nicer room the next morning. The cleaning staff is absolutely phenomenal and deserve a huge kudos. Such nice and wonderful people who do a great job keeping the rooms so clean. Plenty of towels, pillows and the free amenities were fantastic. I’d definitely stay here again.

The property was extremely hard to find for complete new comets to the country. More precise direction from the station would be extremely helpful. The beds were very very hard. Difficult to sleep when you have had a full day of activity. Recommend softer beds.

Good quality hotel within easy reach of Kyoto station, making it easy to get around the city. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. There were lots of "help yourself" amenities in reception. Breakfast was good with a decent choice of Japanese and western style food. Despite it being on a busy street, the hotel was quiet and was a peaceful retreat at the end of a busy day.
