It’s very dirty and the shower water would not stay hot or cold. It was on and off with burning hot water and then ice cold water.
Great service in the front desk, valet parking was awesome as per cleaning we found the restroom needing to be swept but other than that great location.
Very good service lol
Loved the convenience to Alamo and River Walk. Dining staff, breakfast bar staff, housekeeping staff courteous and helful. Desk staff so so. Room was clean. Outside of windows to bedrooms need cleaning. Food there was great.
Amazing location with a lot of local flare.
Couples Christmas Getaway
Beautiful Historic Hotel just steps from The Alamo. Very affordable and comfortable. The Crocket Tavern had yummy food and great drinks. Will definitely stay here again.
Beautiful hotel, gentleman at the reception gave us excellent service. Our stay was great, just booked another stay for March 2025.
Great historic gem.
Love the history and location of this place. Tavern and coffee cafe have great food and drink. Sound from band playing was a little loud at night but all quiet by 10:30/11 so didn’t mind. Being so close to the Alamo and Riverwalk is such a plus!
Solid hotel for the price. Great location.
Solid hotel for the price, excellent location directly adjacent to The Alamo and close to Riverwalk entrance. Room was clean, a little dated. Staff was friendly, standard room pretty small. Two full sized beds. Liked that the toilet and shower were separate from the sink and vanity.
Really loved it-
It was very nice and clean, easy valet. Absolutely no issues checking In. There’s a bar with food at night and morning coffee. Room is very nice and clean. It’s been updated. It’s is so close to the river walk mall, we paid once for valet $45 and that may see expensive but pretty much everyone charges for parking these days. Stay here if you want to visit the river walk, be so close to river center mall and AMC theaters and have a good time. Nice staff and atmosphere. I will be back. I can’t wait till the other phases finish. It’s going to be a really nice area around the alamo.
From the minute we were greeted at the curb, we were handled with professional friendly service. The stay was great!
Great location!
Very helpful and accommodating staff , who went out of their way to make you feel welcome
Great place to stay
Walking distance to the mall and river. Staff every friendly.
We had the live band under our room that night until 1 am with people outside The Tavern talking and then awoke to the Alamo construction that started at around 5:00 am. Valet Parking was charged near $50 on my credit card with no explanation. There is lots of construction going on at the Alamo and doesn't look like it will be completed soon.
Very much enjoyed my stay.
The front desk help was very kind and the property is beautiful. The rooms are very clean and spacious and the beds are very comfortable!!
Always a pleasure staying at the Crockett. The staff is amazing, the location is perfect, and the rooms are cozy!
The Hotel and staff were great unfortunately the area around the hotel is under construction and is terrible to try and get anywhere
Great location, friendly people. Good food in the tavern. Some live music at night in the bar. Close to the downtown and Riverwalk Alamo.
Thank you for a great stay.
Great old style hotel. I sayed there before and now even better renovated Great location.very friendly staff. Clean. Beautiful Nice pub I little item missing is a safe on room. And second: the gardeners started leave blowing with very loud noisy and stinky gas powered leafblowers. These are banned - for a good reason- on my home town Miami beach
Heat/air in room was difficult to set.
Easy, easy parking

Great location close to the Riverwalk but didn’t cost an arm and a leg. We’ll be back for sure!
The rich history of the hotel and area around it.
Loved this historic hotel. Small but lovely room. The restaurant & bar was a plus. I would stay here again but not bring my car. The valet is pretty much the only option & it was $45 a night. The location was so convenient to Riverwalk & the Alamo.
Excellent location
I encountered the worst customer service, and I'm shocked by how rude some people can be. While I could express my frustration more strongly, I'll refrain. However, I want to point out that the rooms smell bad, and the receptionists provide disastrous customer service.
Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of the River walk area. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. Room was comfortable and quiet. The tavern had fabulous food and entertainment.
The hotel itself is very nice. The location was ideal for the Alamo and River Walk. Staff were not overally friendly. Were told since we were checking in and staying at the hotel we got "complimentary" valet parking. Did not bother to tell us it was $48 a night.
Will definitely stay there again. Really nice and clean hotel.
Na
Treasure of a place.
Everything was great, except the construction going on right in front of the hotel.
The staff is super friendly and the hotel is awesome and in a great location!
coffee maker did not work; sink drained slowly; bath tub leaked; carpet was dingy; no manager available.. Had to walk across the street to sister hotel for breakfast.
Lovely hotel in the heart of the Alamo and Riverwalk area.
Other than the construction going on, this hotel was perfect.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay. We were in San Antonio to celebrate his birthday. From the front desk to the valet staff everyone did an amazing job. Eduardo checked us in and Cody checked us out. Both were a pleasure to meet. I will definitely be back. The ongoing construction at the Alamo could pose a problem but not for us. Mrs Brown
It was all around amazing. I highly recommend it.
The staff members are extremely nice. We dined at the Crockett Tavern and we loved the atmosphere.
Great historic hotel and pub in a fabulous location. Unfortunately I could not see outside from my room b/c windows are very dirty. There is NO Continental BREAKFAST. That was false advertising.
clean safe and affordable
Staying at the Crockett was an excellent experience, well definitely be staying again. I went to the Iron Maiden concert and really made a good choice in staying there
Most Excellent Staff
Eduardo at the front desk on Sunday at 12:45 pm is by far one of the friendliest men ever. The female employee at the Valet stand was amazing as well! The bartender that evening is also excellent, red hair and red eyebrows. Definitely coming back.
The pool was a major disappointment; unheated kiddie pool. It was immediately adjacent to the Alamo and about a block to the river walk. I highly recommend this hotel as an option unless you're a swimmer. The Tavern has good meal choices; after walking all day it's nice to relax and enjoy the live entertainment (Country) without having to go anywhere else...
There was construction going on. I recognize, it is not the hotel's fault. Great hotel!
No breakfast
It was noisy in the early morning. Due to the construction near by
I had a good stay. Had requested the room to be refreshed with coffee and more shampoo one morning and that didn't happen. Got a haunted vibe but no ghostly sightings.
Close to everything we were wanting to do.
Nice location, close to everything, bar in-house
We didn’t like the restaurant. Friendly but poor service.
Hotel was amazing, but there is alot od construction at the Alamo that was very loud.
I hate valet service
The Crocket Hotel is a total gem! Beautiful and their staff are exceptional. We had a King room and though it was a simple design, the room is gorgeous. Our car was valeted & the $45 charge was added to our room charge. Very convenient. My only complaint is that I wished they served a full breakfast or continental breakfast menu. They have a very limited coffee bar with items being extra charge.
The staff is always so welcoming and accommodating. From the front desk, to the valet. The outdoor pool was open, not heated, but still decent for October. Pool area is great for sunbathing, socializing, and relaxing under the sun. The bar and restaurant is always a great feat. Great food and entertainment options within reasonable walking distance. Only 2 elevators, so catching one around checkout time can lead to a bit of a wait. Other than that, it’s always excellent staying at The Crockett <3
Proximity to everything was great. No housekeeping was bad.
It was okay
Nice place to stay
One elevator broken, no complimentary breakfast or coffee. Kuerig in room barely worked. Valet service during severe weather was terribe, never received text regarding where my car was until the next morning when i went to front desk to inquire
Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel has lots of character. Loved the location
Aside from the ambience and history of the hotel, it is conveniently located within walking distance of the Alamo, Riverwalk, and many other great attractions in downtown San Antonio.
We liked the place. Seemed a bit understaffed that weekend though. Right next door to the Alamo property was pretty cool though. And the river walk was an easy close walk.
Smelled bad
All the staff was excellent from the front desk to the Valet. They seemed happy to answer all our questionsto make our stay the best experience possible
Beautiful place
I loved this hotel! Every single part of our experience was great. When we checked in we were greeted by a delightful woman (I am so sorry i did not get her name). She was kind and patient and extremely helpful. Later into our trip we stopped in the restaurant for a quick drink on halloween and the bar tender was super fast and kind. We stopped in the QSR each morning for coffee and that was also amazing service and a great product. When we went to check out at the end of our stay it ended how it began. We were greeted by the same woman and, just like check in, she was helpful, kind, and patient. I cannot recommend this site enough.
Room was dingy and dirty. Found hair in the bathroom sink and carpet was dirty
get the peach salad at the Tavern!
Eduardo was very professional at the front desk. Sylvia and I enjoyed the food at the hotel bar. We will return next year for 10 days.
Great location. Close to everything but not in the choas. Construction zone but still convenient. Stayed 5 days but room clean every 3 unless request. Horrible smoker smell but thats on bad visitor's. Great bar food and drink and nice coffee shop. Lots of history. Will stay again on next trip.
It's right where you want to be - close to things but not in the middle of everything.
Whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. Microwave food in the lobby for breakfast (not cheap). No daily housekeeping unless you go through. Time consuming scheduling process and usually nobody is at front desk to help with anything. I guess the location is good but it also is all under construction so it is super loud.
Wonderful
A wonderful hotel. Have stayed several times. Always great.
We were in San Antonio for a concert. The hotel was lovely and extremely convenient to the stadium, as well as the River Walk. The staff was also very courteous and professional. The room was a very nice size and very comfortable. We will be coming back to the Crockett for our next visit to San Antonio.
The negatives are due to the age of the property - not the quietest place I've stayed, water pressure. But the property had what was needed - clean bed. No frills
Property needs a refresh.
Loved the style of the Hotel. Convenient to Alamo and the Riverwalk.
We had great service in and out of the hotel
Great stay - helpful staff but found the grab and go lacking - went elsewhere for breakfast
Beautiful hotel
Fantastic location, no complaints but valet parking is very expensive!
The Crockett is well located, almost within spitting distance of the Alamo, but also within easy walking distance to the Riverwalk, and Tower of the Americas. Staff was excellent, courteous and friendly. It is an older property but well maintained. Hallways could be a bit noisy and a $45 a day valet parking fee seemed a bit steep. But you do have the option of parking nearby for much less.
Great Location
Great location for downtown San Antonio activities! Alamodome is walkable.
FYI
Valet only and starts at $50
Short walking distance to The Alamo.
Loved it all. Except I didn't know there was a pool till my last day. Would have used it.
Love it
Location was great and staff was very helpful. Great historic property with view og Alamo
Great for Historic Exploring
Centrally located for walking the downtown. Great beds. Very few options for breakfast.
Excellent location and staff. Loved the valet parking. Just wish the rooms were so outdated.
Nice place, but noisy early. Construction!
Exceptional service at check-in and valet. Beautiful property. Right across from Alamo and easy walk to River Walk.
Rooms not at all like they show online. Very disappointing l I wanted to love it. Bathroom was too small couldn’t even put my makeup on.
History and the quickness to shopping, restaurants, and major attractions.
We enjoyed our stay. Our only issues was that the bathtub had pieces coming off and some rust on the metal part that the water would’ve touched once filled, so our children could not take a bath. But that’s okay as they showered. And our only other issue was the noise from the tavern or any other music outside. It echoed pretty loudly late in the evening. Making a little hard to sleep. Other than those minor issues, we had a great stay overall
