Great staff service

The conditions at this hotel are extremely poor. Everything is grimy, dirty, smelly. They try to cover up the smell with a sweet scent that is making the conditions even worse. Manager on duty was understanding and supported partial refund request, however since no night was spent here I am still working on collecting full refund. The place raises serious health and safety concerns. Staff tried their best to support with limited options, which I appreciate. Property needs a deep cleaning, major sanitizing, facelift ( of course with keeping the historical elements as they should ). Willing to support feedback with all the detailed photos that were taken prior to my escape from this establishment.

Customer service was amazing! The location can’t be better, you can walk to everywhere.

Clean, close to beach and safe place

Amazing hotel , no parking only downside , get your parking at a local garage overnight for peace of mind , make sure you do it early tho as they get full !

Old and un-updated carpets were dirty shower sprayed from the connection and the sink faucet falling apart. Toilet seat had wear mark was probably 10 yrs old. I would not stay here again.

The property is a perfect example of the Art Deco era. It had a lovely vibe from the moment we checked in. The young women who checked us in was professional though light hearted with the ability to make one feel comfortable quickly. It was easy to walk everywhere from the hotel. We enjoyed the free coffee in the a.m. in their outdoor dining area. I would certainly stay there again.

Nice, cheap stay, close to the beach. Room needed some updating and carpet repairs. Would stay here again.

Older building and rooms need to be updated (new furniture etc) but location is excellent. Close to many shops and restaurants. Also, just a few blocks walk to the beach.

Really enjoyed this area and the staff was super sweet. Of course, it’s basic but the walk ability to shops and restaurants can’t be beat for the price.

Poor valet

Stay was ok kind of what you would expect for south beach. We utilized the valet and unfortunately they really feel short. We had made arrangements to pickup yhe vehicle at 7:30. They did not get the car until 1-1/2 later. Very poor service even thought we followed all their guidelines.

Location.

I've stayed at the hotel before and I really liked it, especially the location. The staff is very attentive and polite. The rooms need some improvements, they're a bit dated. The internet in the room I stayed in was very weak and sometimes didn't work.

Good

The hotel needs some TLC, from the pink couch in the lobby to the carpets in the rooms. However, staff was helpful and proximity to restaurants and beach can't be beat.

Carpet in living room seemed worn and dirty. Air conditioner blasting 24 hrs/day- no auto function. Toilet very low and very close to the wall and toilet seat doesn’t sit right. Beds and bedding clean and comfortable.

Good location and a clean cozy bed

I've stayed here a couple times and overall id call it a clean cozy bed, but not much else. Location is pretty good too- beach is just a couple blocks away, plenty of parking options nearby and a plethora of food, drink and shopping

I booked one king bed room and they gave me 2 double bed room. The staff service was very bad

Hotel needs a lot of updating. Bathroom very small and shower poor condition.

Decent for the price

The hotel looks very nice from the outside and lobby, very pretty pink and green decor nice for pictures. Staff was very nice and accommodating we got there early and they allowed us to check in early. First room was disgusting, dirty sheets what looked like blood on them, dirty bathroom. We went down and immediately changed the room which they did. Next room was much better. Room was extremely cold couldn’t adjust the temperature and front desk didn’t know how to change it. Did not like that we had to pay a resort fee and we were only staying overnight with zero plans to use any of the “amenities” included (beach towels and I think a chair- Not worth $36) did like that they had water throughout the nice and very central location to south beach. Good for the price don’t expect much.

Good location. Good service. Rooms are overall outdated.

The hotel is located close to the beach and there are multiple stores and restaurants nearby, so that was convenient. The customer service was great, the check in process was fast, straightforward, and easy. The hotel doesn’t not look like the pictures. The hotel is extremely outdated, it looks like a 1960s- 1970s esthetic. The shower looks like a cleaning area for housekeepers and maintenance workers to wash out mops and dump dirty bucket water in. The hotel smells moldy or a mildew like smell, the air conditioner is turned up to mask the smell. There were homeless and drug addicted people hanging out in front of the hotel in the outdoor dining area. The police did come and remove the individuals. If you are coming back to the hotel late, please watch your surroundings. This hotel is for a quick in and out, with people on a tight budget, or for people who want an adult night. There is a hostel next door, so that will give you in idea of the surrounding area.

I like that they have been keeping the pool open after hours, it’s such a beautiful end of day experience to be able to swim in the evening with all the lights on it

Nice ppl but no one spoke English

The pictures advertised for the hotel and rooms are false. Completely false. Two sides to the hotel. One disgusting side, and the somewhat better side. Expedia was useless in helping resolve the issues we faced at the hotel. The front desk eventually worked with me and moved me to a room that wasn't dirty, without broken doors, nasty carpet, and had working lighting. The ratings are bogus. There are numerous reviews posting the same conditions. Make sure you call and confirm what they sold you, prior to checking in. First time in 10 years of using this app did I ever experience this sort of thing. Buyer beware.

I honestly didn’t like anything about this property. Not only was our room on a floor that looked/was an active construction zone, but we had to be moved due to our tv not working (a man came and sat in our room for 15 minutes trying to get it to work and sat on the phone at 7pm at night). Also to top it off there was no hot water. All in all I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again.

Many issues: 1. Elevator was not working at all. 3. Got a room in different bulding, far side than expected. 3. Parking problem and not near by 4. There are no proper vents in the room, stinking. Very old room 4. Checkout was terrible. The checkout guy was very rude and reckless. Good side: 1. Check in was smooth and assisted me with all clarifications. 2. Getting car from parking lot was good and quick 3. Very near to beach and shopping. Walkable

Convenient area with numerous stores and restaurants within walking distance. Finding the hotel can be hard because gps takes you down an alleyway. Also finding parking to wait on valet took us about 30 minutes. I wish there was a quicker process. Breakfast is basically non existent.

The location is very good as you can walk to many places.

Close to the beach!

Hotel in need of updating, but staff was great and close to the beach and many restaurants. Didn't spend much time in the hotel. The complementary chairs on the beach was great!

This hotel is so old and outdated! The shower did not work well, the carpet is old and with patches, the old model of air conditioner is very loud. The front desk personnel was nice. The location is good ( close to everything) and not noisy.

The air purifier smell in the room is terrible and causing us serious headaches. The front desk told us there’s nothing they can do.

Hotel location is great and the service was amazing. Hotel was under renovation so it was a little bit messy.

I loved everything about the property. Basic and simple hotel room, clean, and sanitary. Although the cable tv could be better with more channels but other than that, it was great. I loved the location too, just a block away from the beach. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Terrível essa

Terrível. O elevador estava sem funcionar durante toda minha estadia. Eu estava com minha bebê e precisei subir com todos os dias com o carrinho e com malas e compras pela escada e sem ter ajuda dos funcionários. Limpeza dos quartos péssima, havia comida debaixo da cama de outros hóspedes.

Good choice in South Beach

Found the hotel clean and well located and rooms well outfitted and my only issue was the lack of soundproofing between rooms. I could make out every word from next door and across the hall rooms so didn’t get much sleep second nice as neighbours up till 4 am . With noise cancelling earphones, I would stay again as the rest I enjoyed.

exceeded expectations

Hotel was very good. The room was cozy, confortable and super clean, bathroom was also good and clean. Hotel was 2min walk to CVS, Ross Dress for Less, 7 Eleven, and 4min walk to Lincoln Road. The have a beach service (sunbeds) that is already inclued in the reservation, which was really nice. There's a lot of restaurant close by to the hotel, a lot of places it was possible to go by walking.

Good

This was such a unique boutique hotel that brings you back in time with unique features and art from the 1940s. Additionally, they are attached and collaborate with a fully vegan restaurant. This was huge for us as my spouse and I have been vegan for 8 years.

Where is I start. The room was outdated, looked nothing like the pictures, the AC was smelly everytime it ran, the shower flooded immediately when turned on. If you’re looking for a bed in a crappy motel type of style then this is it.

Anniversary Trip

It was an overnight stay on our way to a cruise. It was what we needed for the night. The staff was nice and helpful.

I had no TV for my two day stay and they wiped out my resort fees. They did the right thing.

Easy access

Disappointed

The only reason to go back to this hotel is if you want to go to the Jackie in Gleason in Theater and you just need a place to sleep because you’re too far to drive home. That in the restaurant has a incredibl food.

Location, Location, Location. The lobby was nice, but the room (main building) was shabbily decorated, not clean, stained sheets, disgusting bathroom, moldy smell and generally run down. The hallway was half finished, no paint and light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. Disappointing for the price. Not recommended, unless maybe if you just need a place to crash for one night in this location, and are willing to accept the poor conditions.

The day manager was super friendly and sweet. I think her name was Francine? She always took great care of us.

Excellent stay. Not expensive, walkable distance from Fillmore Centre, from all the reataurants and shops. Staff is amicable and good. Rooms are clean even if they are slightly outdated. I would stay here again

To many stars

The room was not a 4 star room and had to check out within an hour. I still have not received my full reimbursement but the girl behind the counter nice and friendly and not her fault. Thank you

Nice hotel with fees

Extra fees for everything. Ok room and very spacious. The desk is very nice and easy to talk to.

Due to being in a mandatory evacuation area we had to last minute book a safer area to relocate to. This was the only hotel I could find in our budget and again, last minute. The photos looked fine, so I booked the hotel. We drove there to find after a 5 hour drive with two children and our dog that there is absolutely no parking. You have the option to valet but it was $35 dollars a day. The only other option was to park at a parking garage that charged $20 a day. $100/ day deposit was due at check in plus a $35/day fee. There is no breakfast, only coffee and water. The hotel looks like maybe they updated the hallway carpet and outside of the doors, but once you walk in..it’s carpet from the 70’s maybe. The closets are nasty, everything is outdated. My daughter got stuck in the bathroom because the door would not open. I believe it was a mix of everything is just painted over on the door and trim and the door is not hung correctly. Our window opened to a fridge and the doorway of a kitchen, which I assumed was the vegan restaurant that was attached to this hotel. The beds themselves were small, my 11 year old and 6 year old could barely fit in it together. They were comfortable but tiny. You could walk if you wanted to to multiple stores and shopping areas. Not far from the beach either. Overall the last minute stay worked out, just make sure you drop off everyone and all suit cases at the door then go park your car in the parking garage a few blocks away.

The hotel is a very good option for staying in the beach. We are very pleased of the Front Desk personnel willingness to serve and respectful treatment. The rooms have a good size with affordable rates.

Good service, old rooms

Very good service, but the rooms and hallways are creepy -looking. Bad paint job and peeling patterned wallpaper on the ceilings.

Photos put a shiny gloss on an outdated, dingy, dark, and overall unappealing hotel. The use of the terms "suites" is ironic. Outdated wallpaper, dank carpeting, dark paint and barely functioning plumbing harken back 50 years to when this art deco style would have been attractive - it certainly no longer is. Fortunately, the room was clean and the air conditioning worked great.

The tiny, un-air conditioned elevator jolted to a stop twice between floors, terrifying us. There is a large gap in the bathroom door so you can see through it. The plugs in the room were in odd places and all used so if you wanted to charge your cell phone you couldn’t turn on a light. Bathroom was sort of a wet room so have fun peeing while standing in water. A microwave would have been helpful. Not again.

Good experience at Crest Hotel in Miami Beach. Check in was easy and fast at reception desk.

the guy receptionist was rude. overall this place is not worth your money. no parking available, dirty management, rude staff.

Florence was exceptional with her professionalism and such positive attitude. She welcome us so warmly and helped us settle in. Crest hotel is very lucky to have her onboard. Hotel manager Alexandra helped us with our hotel room switch and we are greatly appreciated. We stay in Crest hotel twice a year for many years and the experience is always so positive. This time was really exceptional as Florence went above and beyond. Well done and thank you! Location is perfect close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Suit # 707was clean, towels were replaced daily. Pool was accessible till 8:00 PM in August/2024.

Gorgeous view, very nice condition, elevator sucked but I'd already read that in the reviews, long walk to room not suitable for alot of luggage or handicap without a wheelchair. I have back problems but not quite in a wheelchair and it was a nightmare bringing in luggage. Other than that it was amazing

Could have been much better

The room we booked was quite alright but for our 2 nights stay we didn’t have hot water and that was not fixed before we check-out. After beach we were offered another room to take a shower in the other building but this was not convinient. Also the AC unit is noisy and at night it sounds really loud, had to off it but on it again in the middle of the night cause Miami is really hot in July.

Me & two of my close friends planned a girls trip to come to Miami and as many of you know there was a global IT outage due to a Microsoft issue on July 19th which caused us to not be able to physically fly out that day and when we tried every car rental company nearby and they were all sold out we had to settle with flying in on Sunday July 21st, I communicated this with the hotel and it was a well known issue across the world and the crest hotel denied adjusting our stay because it was originally booked for July 19th-July 22nd but since we couldn’t get to Miami until the 21st we wanted to extend our stay until the 22nd but they denied our request and we did not want to stay somewhere for one night and then have to find another hotel to stay at for our second night nor did we want to stay somewhere for one night when we paid for 3 nights so once they denied our request for adjusting our stay I requested a refund and although it was a global IT outage and no way for us to make it from Columbus Ohio to Miami Florida they denied me once again of my refund. They charged me for a stay I wasn’t able to make it to! Do not stay here.

We only stayed at this property for one night before our cruise and we did not really enjoy our time there. It was clear that this property was in need of a lot of updating. They did appear to be working on some rooms while we were there so maybe that’s happening already but I wish we had stayed elsewhere. The lobby was very nice and the staff was very kind. Our room however was not what we wanted. A very small bathroom. The shower had no shelving of any sort so everything had to sit on the floor. The outlets in the room were falling off the wall. We had towels with brown stains on them. Also, our tv stopped working shortly after we arrived and when we told the front desk we were told it was a hotel wide power surge and they’d be back on soon. Our friends never lost their tv and ours didn’t work again for our entire stay. Positives: it was very close to the beach, the staff was friendly and it was in walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants.

Do not stay here

Ants everywhere, lumpy mattress, window AC unit made it either too hot or too cold, old and antiquated equipment, desk had no chair. Friendly and helpful staff

We had a lovely stay and the staff was very pleasant. I was a little disappointed as I booked a Suite which was meant to have a separate bedroom space but was given what I assume was a studio so it was all one room.

Eclectic, friendly, but dated

Pros: Location was prime. Really enjoyed how easy and accessible everything was - bars, restaurants, clubs, the beach. The front staff was friendly and easy to work with. The room was neat and tidy. Cons: Not necessarily cons, but the room is smaller than I anticipated (noticed another review about this). The space is eclectic, but looks like it was painted by Hellen Keller. It could use some sprucing up, but was suitable for the trip. One last thing: not sure if it's mentioned anywhere (if so, I missed it) but there is an additional $30-some odd dollar service fee that you pay to the hotel at check in, per night. So account for that in your budget.

The hotel is in a good location. The beach is only 3 blocks away, CVS, stores and restaurants are very close, Everything walking distance. But the hotel itself has a weird smell, the hall going to my room everyday has a orine smell very intense

The mattress on the bed was completely wore out. It had a big dip in the middle of the mattress and the carpet needs changing. The hotel is really old that needs some updating. Great location to the beach!

Pretty decent for price! Close to everything

Hotel was smaller than it looked online and a little dated but overall good location service and valet as well. Definately clean and comfy I can say. Not ma y convenient outlets or usb.

Great place to stay

We had a very nice room and staff was efficient and friendly.

This hotel was just ok. Majority of the hotel staff was very nice, but I found the restaurant staff to be rude. The pool was not great at all, very small and a little awkward to hang out at. The reservation does come with 2 beach chairs, however you do have to walk like 10 min to get there. My biggest issue was the outlets in the room... there was only 1 outlet in the whole room I was able to access and it was not near the bed. Most hotels have the USB ports at the minimum for you to use by your bed, this hotel did not. The location is really great though! you can walk to a lot of places and there is a lot to do in the area. If you don't plan to be at the hotel much and just sleeping there, this should work great for you!

The rooms are very basic, and the beds are LOW to the ground. The rooms are older and there isn't much to say about a view. However, it was easy to get to, walkable, very close to shopping, the beach, and the pool was fantastic. The pool was small, and they have pool bean bags not pool chairs, and only 4 of them, and 2 umbrellas. The pool wasn't crowded, and I didn't see a lot of kids which was nice. They do have an elevator. There is someone at the desk after hours. Overall, it was a simple and convenient hotel close to the beach with a pool, which is what we wanted. We had a lovely time, but its not the Ritz. Bathroom is small, and the fridge is smalller than a standard mini fridge.

Great service and location

The staff was exceedingly helpful. I left my luggage both before I checked in and after. The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent. Was named one of the best vegan restaurants in the US. The small bar is a hidden gem. It was all within walking distance of the Convention Center. I would recommend getting a studio

Good stay

Pros: good location - Big bus and local bus stops one block away. Walking distance to the beach. Two beach chairs and towels are included with the booking. Cons: the bathroom was tiny.
