Clean, comfortable hotel for great price

We arrived pretty late but wanted to stay a little closer to the airport so we didn’t have so far to drive the next day. The room was nice and clean and the staff was very sweet.

Nice clean hotel room and bathroom. Reasonably modern. Good night’s sleep had.

It was my first vacation with my lady and we enjoyed it. Dinner was pretty good and the staff were so sweet

Needs a remodel

It's not that it wasn't clean, it was fine. I just expected a more modern hotel that I typically associate with Courtyard Marriott's. It's very old and while the lobby was updated the rest of the hotel is not. The beds were comfortable and the service was good. All of the employees were very nice and helpful. Its just badly in need of room/carpet updates. It served its purpose but just expected it to be a bit nicer and newer.

Property was clean, the shower was a little small but the location was great. It was only a 5 minute drive from the concert venue and there were plenty of shops around.

I was given the wrong room at first and when I went up to the front desk staff about it, they were really kind about the situation and gave me the room I was supposed to get. Really kind staff members and a really clean hotel!

Very nice stay. Quiet and clean. Close to food and stores. Good location. The bar tends to be closed til 5:00 PM. Not convenient if you're not living on EST but Trader Joe across the street.

Mixed review

Wasn’t aware that maid service took place every other day. Breakfast was not included with our stay. Items for purchase were extremely expensive!! Yikes!! Staff was friendly. Rooms could use some freshening up, however, the bathroom shower was pretty nice.

Property was well kept and the amenities were excellent. Although it appeared that the Bistro was priced to discourage use the breakfast option was adequate and the people were nice. Not having a breakfast included meant no feeding frenzy that some hotels experience each morning.

Wonderful! Saved us in a pinch!

Building layout a bit awkward. Signage could be improved. Room was a good size and comfortable, however air conditioner was sufficient and noisy.

Not one of the nicer Marriotts I have stayed at. The website photos are old and do not depict and actual property or rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel overall could use some upgrades.

The pool was closed, we were given no indication that this was the case before booking. Place seemed dark and run down. There were scammers in the parking lot trying to solicit money Saturday night. We notified the front desk after seeing the woman leaning against our car after we went in the building. We don't think anything was done about it. We felt very unsafe

Our stay was overall decent only thing that ruined it was there being a bug in our bed on the first day. Could’ve easily been bit why whatever it was. Had us paranoid that we would see another bug. This wasn’t the only complaint about bugs either. In the lobby a guy was complaining about a roach in his room. We were both placed on the first floor, so avoid that if you can. Never have dealt with bugs in the bed, it was definitely a first with my experience with the Marriott brand.

It is an older property but well kept. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good dining options nearby and close to major roads. I would stay again

This was an excellent stay! Angela, who checked me in, was so friendly and chatty! It was very quiet with everything that was going on! My room ( 1 kg bed) was very spacious abd clean. I will definitely stay there again when I'm in Raleigh.

Excellent stay. Hotels.com actually over booked the hotel, but the night attendant shifted some people to upgraded rooms and made a very accommodating room available to us.

Well, the room was good, and everyone was friendly, but when I went to take a shower i noticed the drain wasn't draining the water it flooded the bathroom a bit. I told the front desk, and they assured me someone was coming to fix it which no one ever did. Kinda sucks honestly especially for the amount i paid. Other than that, it was an ok stay.

Loved the wonderful scent when I walked into the lobby. Loved that they offered Starbucks coffee on site.

Not their best day

Unfortunately the room and hotel had some cleanliness issues, and the toilet didn’t work. Had to fill trash can to use to flush toilet.

This property was a perfect location. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in room 031 on the first floor which was a back door where you can enter and exit and it was horrible. I did not get any sleep because all I heard was the slamming all night, people talking, baby crying and a couple arguing.

This hotel is in a great location. Staff is friendly and very professional.

The only thing I had a hard time was trying to get out of the gate at the pool. But overall the place was good

I was given a room with disability in which the shower head streams sideways instead of downwards. Extremely noisy couldn't sleep at night. Terrible terrible. Asked the concierge to change my room and they said they were fully booked.

Staff was courteous, room was okay, found some areas that were not clean. Elevator smelled like cigarettes. Balcony was great addition.

The only problem that we experienced was.....I have never stayed in a hotel with 1 elevator all the way back at the end of the hall of the entire hotel????

This property was gorgeous. The exterior of the building needs to be refinished due to its nauseating color, but dont let outside fool you, the inside is just spectacular. The updates to the rooms and the building as a whole gives you a luxurious feel and look. We loved the setup of the room and the theme (darker toned modern). Would recommend to anyone looking for luxury on a budget!

Large clean room with nice shower. Quiet in the evenings/night. Good location.

Property is old, but renovated. Rooms are decent, but not that great. Overall above average experience.

Friendly and easy

Homeless person in only laundry facility with dog most of the weekend. Was difficult to do any laundry and our players were out in the cold, rain all weekend and we needed to get uniforms washed. Did not feel safe with young girls due to clientele coming in and out of the building.

Relaxing Rest in Raleigh

Conveniently located off the highway. We stayed after a long day hiking in the smokies and it was a lovely respite during our road trip. The staff were friendly and kind. Our room was clean and nice.

The staff was nice, but did not inform me when I checked in that they only provide maid service every other day. The bed in the room was old and terrible. The screen on the sliding door was ripped. The security lock on the sliding door outside was broken. While the hotel was relatively empty when I checked in, the nonetheless assigned a room on the street and noisy side of the hotel. Honestly, I think that Marriott Hotels have declined since the purchase of Sheraton

Ant infestation - do not stay here!!

well, when we arrived everything seemed fine. the layout of this hotel is very strange and the elevator is located about as far away from the lobby as possible, making it an extended process to get to your room unless you're on the 1st floor. if you're on the ground floor, there is literally a door in your room that exits directly into the parking lot and when I checked in, that door was not locked and the extra security bar to prevent someone from forcing it open was not in place. sketch. The worst part of our stay occurred very early in the AM. One of our 3 rooms was completely infested with ants. Called the front desk and they sent someone to come start spraying/fumigating. ants everywhere, including in our personal belongings and now chemicals being sprayed while we're in the room. best part, hotel does not GAF about this disgusting development and offered nothing. no refund, no free drink at the bar, no discount on parking, nothing. just spraying chemicals and infesting us with ants. the maintanence person they sent to our room said that that entire side of the hotel was complaining all morning about the ants... but still, they offered no compensation, no recourse. I would never stay at this hotel ever again.

I liked it because it was accesible

The noise level was ridiculous. Drag racing cars both nights for hours in the early morning Saturday. We got up Sunday morning to take a shower & there was no hot water for a while. We will not be staying there again.

Overall the property was good. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and spacious. However, rooms 130ish-150ish back right up to woods and a super busy road. The noise at night was extremely loud and woke me up several times each night I was there. The noise didn’t seem to slow down at any point throughout the night. There were also a couple random instances where we would come back and someone would just be sitting in their car parked very randomly which gave us the sense of it being unsafe. Okay for the money but probably wouldn’t stay again because of the noise.

We found the room slightly run down and not very cheerful. It was fairly noisy because the walls were thin the staff was very nice. It would be nice if they would offer coffee during the day.

Very nice hotel for the price. Great location! Plenty of shops and eateries nearby. I was a little disappointed that the room didn't have a microwave, but it was a minor inconvenience for a one night stay. I would stay again 😔.

Great location. My only gripe is people had dogs and they BARKED ALL NIGHT.

Enjoyed the stay, leisure & business. Personal time was very relaxing and quiet. Was able to get a good night sleep bed/pillows were comfortable. Great selection on TV cable wifi was strong enough to hold business duties. Restaurant and stores near by. Laundry facility onsite only down fall no dish soap for your travel items.

Excellent customer service

We arrived around 10pm after a long day. We were assigned to a unit at farthest end facing busy road. It was Tuesday, the place was very much empty. Cleanses is fine, location is ok for traveling. Breakfast is extra.

We were in top for our son's wedding. We picked this location, because it was only 10 minutes from the venue i didn't realize it was the perfect location. It had everything we needed and more. The room was spacious and comfortable for my family of 6. Three adults and 3 young teenagers. If we come back to visit again, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you 😊.

While I loved the area something about the room got my allergies going crazy

The Courtyard was clean, safe and a nice property overall. I am torn between the staff; part of them were wonderful, the other part....I think just not trained well. We arrived about 3:30. Usually we can check in right away, I was told it would be more than an hour or longer for check in; actually that 3:00 is just "a possible time to check in". I have never been told that before. So after the clerk left the desk 3 times, and I had watched several other guests be given keys and rooms; I asked could we have ANY room with two beds? So in a bit he gave me a "downgrade", which was fine but I didn't love the wait. Also, the other issue with Courtyard lately is that they don't have a regular breakfast buffet. They just have a very limited breakfast menu. I wish it was a buffet, BUT the food was good and the wait staff were nice!

Pay for quality

We booked a room here due to its proximity to the Red Hat amphitheater. This is a hotel chain that always meets my expectations.Speedy check in and check out. Clean rooms. Very close to restaurants, hangouts, etc.

Never made it to the property had a family emergency that came up when I tried to call Expedia and canceled a day before to cancel my reservation to Raleigh to see the concert because the concert was canceled for whatever reason they canceled it anymore I tried calling to say at the Marriott so you just got $150 for nothing enjoy your money have a good weekend thank you bye

Great location when visiting Coastal Carolina for a concert. Staff was friendly, facility was clean and beds were comfortable.

The hotel was in a good location. There seemed to be a number of people sitting in cars in the parking area at any given time. The TV had many channels that wouldn't come in/satellite issues or a problem with its motion detection?? There were hairs on the bathroom floor that were not ours. Late night sirens (near a hospital) and loud cars were annoying but location near Trader Joes, Wegmans was good. On the way out, the elevator was not working.

Good for the price

It was a good hotel for the price. Updated and comfortable amenities. Good location. Cleanliness could be better.. our shower had hair all over the walls, the housekeeping person was pushing a cart of clean towels and dropped a bunch on the floor in the elevator, she then picked them back up and stacked them back up with the clean ones to be brought to rooms.

The lobby area is great for grabbing something to eat and/or drink. The outdoor space is great for relaxing and meeting people. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Short reunion weekend get-away

Super clean bathroom, which we appreciated. If I could change one thing it would be to add some healthier snack options in the pantry (nuts, dried fruit, juice). Great location, near good shopping and restaurants.

Not poor, just not worth its price. Amenities were expensive relative to quality and less generous than fewer star hotels.

The rooms were only cleaned once a week. Our shoes disappeared with the trash when housekeeping came in. They were in a shoe box in a bag but not in the trash can. We spoke to several peope at the reception desk at different times but nothing was done about it.

Check in sucked

Check in time is 3 PM. They even emailed me to do a pre check in so they would know what time I would be arriving. I said 3, but didn’t show up till 4 and they didn’t have any rooms available, well they did but they didn’t mention that. I would have gladly taken a king bed instead of 2 beds, but they didn’t offer. So we had to wait for a room and had to be somewhere. Then they said they couldn’t compensate us because we booked through a 3rd party and didn’t even apologize. Once we finally got a room it was fine the rest of the stay.
