Loved the pool. Quiet area and walkable to everything. 2nd time here. Customer service friendly and quick for towels. Bed comfy.
It is clean, professional service, quiet. We received a complimentary upgrade upon check-in which wasn’t expected, it was great. We feel safe at this property, amazing experience. I will come back here again
Great property!! We used it for overnight going to and coming from the Pride of America!! Due to flight schedules we needed an overnight stay both ways!
It's a clean and convenient hotel.
Will stay again.
The staff was so kind and the beds were great!!! After six back surgeries my husband thought the beds were so comfortable
Location very central & convenient. The room was serviced daily and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
I don’t like the towel smell, the doors at the bathroom doesn’t works good and the curtains don’t cover the windows properly
The hotel location is good near the canal and quiet but still walkable to everything in Waikiki, restaurants, shopping centers and beaches. The staffs are very friendly and professional, from the front desk to housekeeping. The room is clean and nice comfortable bed. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great stay
Great small hotel. Offer but clean and convenient. Very very friendly and helpful. Exceeded expectations.
Conveniently close to the downtown Waikiki area. Valet services were excellent, they have beach stuff like chairs, umbrellas and boards you can borrow for the beach. Very nice and helpful staff
Location is great. Definitely in need of updating Our room is at the end of hallway the”Mountain View” room, layout is awkward which makes the closet almost inaccessible. I just ignored it’s existence and never put my clothes in it. Bathroom could have been cleaned better.
The clean and friendly atmosphere is a big plus. My Room was above the front door so I heard alot of coming and going at all times. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I once seen the girl preparing little trays with macadrame nuts , I wonder what they were for I figured maybe a gift when checking out, I never found out because I was never offered it. The laundry room - washer is good the dryers forget, my clothes never dried had to hang in room. No parking in area so had to pay $40.00 a day for hotel valet. The hotel was near alot so walking and finding shopping and food was a plus. Loved the shampoo and body was provided in room. Was satisfied with my choice to stay here 6 days. Nice would recommend. Beds were comfortable.
Extra payment charge for the parking that irritates everyone.
Great location
Be awareness people, if you are looking for a hotel with the parking space, this is the one you should skip. There is no free parking, unless you pay $$40/day for valet. Overall, this is a good and comfortable place for staying. Location is close to the downtown. You can find a lot of restaurent and shopping mall.
nothing, I did not like all of the hidden fees
It was comfortably and clean
Everything was ok as far as staying. Rooms was clean, employee was great and helpful.
10/10 would recommend this hotel it is in a great location and has amazing staff.
Convenient to airport and ship.
Front desk staff had aloha and professional. Great value for Waikiki area. Clean, comfortable and great A/C in the room. Free filtered water and coffee in the lobby! Close to all kinds of food options. Mahalo!
Family friendly good location easy walkable distance to the beach and restaurants, safe clean erea.
Awesome
Rooms and hotel in general is outdated and staff was not very personable at all. Convenient location but I won’t stay again the next time I visit. Overpriced and beds were not that comfortable either. Unfortunately, just wasn’t the best experience!
It would be nice if the amenities fee was included in the price of the room on Expedia
Passable for one night to see Waikiki
Good location for a short stay to see Waikiki beach but poor value for money, especially if staying multiple nights - $30 daily amenity fee (not clearly stated upfront) and $40 daily valet parking (no self parking option) plus various taxes make it not worth it. The rooms are also very dated.
The receptionist swipe my credit card 3 times instead of 2 times for the payment on 2 rooms. Had to make enquiries before the fund release back.
Small hotel but has a lot of charm, staff is super friendly and helpful.
Coconut Waikiki Hotel is in a very good location, so many options for dining and just 10 minutes walking to the beach. They have towels, humbrellas and chairs you can use, as well as free water, coffee, and tea all day. The hotel seems to be a little old and needs some renovations, The only thing i didnt like is that when using the sink and the shower smells pretty bad like pipe.
Comfortable room with king bed. But full bathroom and half bathroom. Hotel is a bit older but Clem and nice. Easy walk to Waikiki beach, international market.
Spacious safe
The amenity fee was a surprise to me when I was checking in. I had thought my room was all paid for when I booked it, only to be told that I would be charged an additional fee. I am not saying that it wasn’t on the website site, but I do not remember seeing it.
Nice venue. Clean. Tidy rooms. Comfy sleeping beds
Good hotel great location had a leak in our bathroom and it was fixed immediately despite being 3am.
Coconut is awesome. . .it is further away from the busy parts (main tourist hubs) of Waikiki. So there is less tourist foot traffic around the property, which is nice. However, as you have a more quiet street, that means that you do need to walk about 10 minutes to get to the beach, which does suck if you have little kids and you are hauling chairs / towels / ocean toys etc. However, if you don't mind walking, you will get about 15k steps a day getting around Waikiki. Close enough to everything, but not too close to everything.
A bit noisy. Parking is tough (2 hour paid street parking, or free rare canal parking). Staff is helpful/great. Walking distance to Waikiki
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Called downstairs for car and it was ready when we got to the lobby
.
Friendly staff
Hotel was in a great location, close to shopping areas & plenty of dining options.
The hotel is in a great location to walk to shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself really needs to be remodeled as its carpet and interiors are too old to make look very clean. One lamp didn’t work in the room when I tried to turn it on and that’s when I noticed a huge stain in the shade. Also, if you awaken to sound easily, you can still hear a lot of sound/wind even when the sliding glass door is closed. There is only paid valet parking $40 night, complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby, and a water refill station. The staff is very nice and helpful.
The property was cozy on the channel side of Waikiki. Staff was professional and smaller hotel made for efficient check in/check out and valet processes.
Staff was friendly and they offer great things like popcorn and filtered water for guests. Our room needed some maintenance like the bathroom faucet handle that didn't work properly, and the rug was peeling off in the closet.
Very good hotel clean and nice view !
The staff were friendly and the location was close to a lot of restaurants and the Beach and some attractions.
Old, not updated, rooms are not that clean, needs paining and carpet. Pictures make it look nice. Checkin was long and room keys don’t work. Do not recommend.
Good for the price
Perfect place to stay away from all the busy areas but walkable to most everything.
Great short stay
This hotel was perfect for a short stay. Nice location. We stayed one night before going on a 10-day cruise. It was walkable to really great shopping and dining on Kalakaua Ave. Wished we had more time there.
This property was perfect for our 3 night stay. Easy walking to restruants and the beach. Would stay here again and recommend to everyone.
Very convenient and the staff was great.
This hotel was very conveniently located and a great price for the area. The hotel was very nicely maintained for its age and very clean. The only drawback was that the air conditioner for this room did not cool adequately.
None
Nice
One night stay
Hotel is never full but the last two times I’m put next to the elevator. You can hear everything in the hall. Including the elevator bell everytime it arrived. Price is good for the room and amenities. Clean premises inside and out. Rooms are great for a solo trip maybe a little cramped for a couple or family.
Everyone at the front desk and valet were very patient, courteous, kind and helpful. The room was very clean and cozy. I highly recommend this hotel. I would stay again.
the front deskservice is good. All day coffee supply is giid.
A/C unit to loud needs to replace or fixed
Quiet, Comfortable Stay
We selected this smaller boutique hotel for our short stay before our cruise around the islands. It was farther from the beach, but the room was spacious, quiet, clean and less costly than the hotel’s beachside.
Nice hotel. The front desk lady could have been friendlier. The valet was super nice! Pool area is small. Room was not cleaned thoroughly.
My stay at the hotel was amazing. The room was beautiful. It was clean. It was bright. The view from the balcony was amazing. I will definitely recommend.
Spacious, clean rooms!
Great Place
This was a great place to stay. Staff was friendly, the hotel was perfect! Thank you for making our trip to Hawaii even more enjoyable.
We had a great view of the canal frim the 8th floor and a beautiful view of the hills. It was a spacious room and we really enjoyed the balcony and free wifi. We were able to have our luggage stored, after the noon checkout, until our trip to the airport from the hotel.
Coconut Waikiki Hotel beautiful place to stay on your Vacation in Hawaii.
very nice!
The hotel was walking distance! Very friendly staff! I wish the offer a breakfast or fruit! Everything else was good!
Great location, modernized and clean.
The only criticism I have is that the bathroom & kitchen need a definite update. Lovely little hotel, friendly staff & convenient.
The rooms could be more cleaner. The staff was super nice
I was there for six nights. It was very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. I was upgraded to king city view. That was nice. I was where I wanted and where I needed to be. Everything was within walking distance. I liked staying there. It was clean. I will stay again just not on a high floor. Kinda scared of heights.
Best price
Great!
Good location.
easy access to dining, shopping and the beach
The people made my week at the Coconut Waikiki most pleasant. Easy walk anywhere in Waikiki.
I enjoyed th pineapple wine given along with heated pool. However wish it were open longer to 10pm. Hurricane Popcorn was a cute idea. Staff were so kind, especially Robert at valet. Amenity charge and valet charge is an expected fee all over but still annoying it is not built into hotel fees.
Great bed, plenty of towels and pillows. Very comfortable and quiet
Thank you to front desk staff members Linda and Shanatle for their friendly and professional manner with check in and Platinum level service. They went above and beyond to ensure my check in was expeditious and welcoming. All staff from outside maintenance cleaners to housekeeping were super friendly. The hotel common areas, room and grounds are very clean. Location is great and short easy walk to Waikiki beach, restaurants & shopping. Rooms have all necessary items for a nice stay-comfortable beds, bathroom amenities, refrig, microwave, safe and quiet ac. The only thing I would change would be more sound proof windows in the room in order to dampen the noise from the street. Thank you staff of Coconut Waikiki Hotel for making my stay awesome!!
Stuff wasn’t very friendly when I checked in. Room is average as the price
Great location. The room is clean and staff is friendly.
Good
Good location. Good comfortable place
Sweet little hotel close to all amenities.. easy to find and fantastic staff. Would stay again
Enjoyed my stay at the hotel.Would be visiting again real soon.
Very good customer service! All the staff are very friendly and helpful!
price is fair, close to waikiki beach and shopping
Great location with great views over the river. It is an older complex but was very clean. I would stay there again.
Great property to stay at. Friendly staff and able to do early bag drop Beds comfortably but bit small being double size not Queen. Also bit noisy as the sliding glass door wasn’t able to be sealed properly Would stay at again!!
I was really happy with this hotel with its good value for the area.
Fair hotel
We arrived too early for check in so they kept our bags while we went on a tour, said our bags would be in our room when we returned. Returned at 11:00pm, bags were not in our room. Employee did assist us getting bags to room. No ice bucket. Ice machine on every other floor. No coffee maker in room. Very near busy street, so traffic noise was an issue. Room appeared clean, until you closed the bathroom pocket door. The back side of the door was covered in dust, dirt, and dead bugs. Location was half way between Port and airport. Could walk to many stores and restaurants.
I liked the location but the cleanliness is sub par in my opinion. No paper towel to dry your hand in the lobby’s ladies room. Cleaning staff forgot to leave me a tub mat on my second day. Found hair on the shower walls and ceiling. Bedsheet is questionable if changed or not.
Front of house staff excellent, very friendly and helpful. Room was a good size with the bonus of a small balcony.
Not this time.
We love this hotel. Close to everything. Walking distance to the beach and all the restaurants we wanted to go to. Friendly staff as well
Great hotel
Sweet small little gem that was very clean and within walking distance to shopping and each. Situated next to the canal was a nice bonus. My only complaint was the street noise at night. The hotel has the older louver windows which adds to the charm but isn’t soundproof. Overall though good value.
The bed has stain, smells like used pillow case, bathroom smells cockroach, saw 1 dropping. Off smell in bathroom sink. Noisy, can hear car & motor bike
Pretty noisy around the hotel, but then again it's Waikik. All in all, agood location. Plenty of dining and shopping options. Wasn't expecting the additional $34 fee at check-in though.
