Close to beach but have to walk a distance to get to beach chairs provided. Just take your own. Customer service was good

Rooms are too small

I did not enjoy myself too much because I had to leave the area to eat affordably. I booked at the wrong time, didn’t realize that it is Spring break time and the locals has an objection to the whole presence of “Spring Break youth attendees” and their wild, violent and abusive activities that they often bring! I just wanted to relax and enjoy the beach view.

Too small

The room and bathroom were very small. The "breakfast" was nothing worth having (coffee and some pastry).

Best location, hotel, room & people

Reception desk: awesome customer service. Very attentive to our needs. Good humor. Room: very clean, bed very neat. hallways: smell very good, and clean. We had a praceful night. Thank you. We will definitely book again sometime in the future. And will definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Very good

Enjoyed the ocean view. Our rooms were not ready, took over 2 hours to check in. Staff were disorganized, could have been a bad day.

Only thing I would say is the pics of the hotel were not very up to date! But the only thing I was really upset about was the beach access with the chairs and umbrellas for the Clevelander were not right across the way, you had to walk a few blocks down, it didn’t say that in the reservations lol! With that being said if you wanna experience south Beach Miami party life then the clevlander is definitely the place to be. I would recommend it

Property was welcoming. Easy check in, complimentary welcome drink, beach towels for beach, free bikes. Michelle was well known about the area. Thank you for making our experience great!

Upgrade rooms

Room noise

The room was so noisy there was a clicking in the wall all the time and there was another sound that went off random throughout the day and night. Pillows were too thick. I’m just not pleased for how much I paid also no towels were left after cleaning the room.

Staff tried to tell us upon check in “manager upgraded us” but they gave us a lower room than we booked. Then when we said something about the wrong room we had to wait till 4 pm the next day with all our baggage in the lobby to move rooms. No bell boys broken down luggage carts. No fridges in the rooms. Stained sheets, stained curtains, sink that didn’t drain. Would not go back ever or recommend.

Noisy hotel, very small rooms with no coffee maker, desk or chair. Tiny wardrobe for 2 people. There was a constant smell of air freshener which was very disturbing. We had to inform 2 days in a row that our room had no bathroom towels. And the "ding ding" sound of the elevator was a nightmare every night.

Miami Beach Anniversary

Everyone at the front desk was amazing. They were friendly and helpful. They were understaffed however and at busy times customers had to wait because people were checking in, checking out, needing information, getting bicycles. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Without paying a fortune for one of the hotels that are directly on the beach you still have excellent beach access. And you can walk to scores of excellent restaurants. This was our 45th wedding anniversary and we really enjoyed our stay. Have to say that most of the rooms are even smaller than they appear in photos. Also disappointed that there was no special access to the club or pool as they were open to the public. Be prepared for loud, late night music from the pool bars below. We recommend the hotel, just be aware of what to expect.

Nothing worked including AC. Cleaning club music all nice and the rooms look like hospital rooms.

Don't stay at this property if you want to sleep. Their Rockstar Suite room sounds lovely with blackout curtains, couch and the amazing square footage, however, music is banging basically sun up to sun down. You gaze down upon the bar from your room and there might be 1-3 people there=it's worn out and sad. We stayed at this property as it was the host hotel for a large fitness competition, in which my husband had dedicated months of training and usually wins prize money. After trying to be reasonable on the first and second nights by asking for the music to be turned down, asking for some ability to sleep, they said "we might be able to give you earplugs" (ha - we bought night 1 but even noise cancelling headphones can't eliminate the bump from the bass below) - then I lost my patience on the third day and after a heated discussion with a very rude and disrespectful teenager at the front desk, we wound up switching hotels, not even having our valet parking refunded (no prize money, double parking/hotel costs for us). They advertise adults only - LOL there were plenty of kids there! The remotes didn't do anything but turn on the TV to one channel, it was FREEZING cold in our room (58 degrees at night) - assuming they have no heat/only AC-FL was in a cold snap, their hallways are like freezers and smell like cheap taxicab air freshener. Location is great, across the street from the beach, but let's be real, what hotel in Miami Beach would be in a bad location?

I stayed at the Clevelander for two nights. Which I booked separately just so I can experience having a balcony for a better view of the pool party going on. Michelle was so accommodating however the overnight clerk called me at 1:30 am to tell me that my room was paid for nor properly registered by Michelle. Why did she feel the need to do that at 1:30 am? I don't know... . I would definitely need an explanation about this.

Michelle at the front desk made sure my stay was amazing. Anything I needed she was able to give it to us. She even gave us an early check-in. When she found out we were there for anniversary. She spoiled us. It was amazing and the welcome drinks were very nice and yummy. I love that. You don’t have to leave the hotel to go party. There was a DJ outside by the pool multiple bars so nothing got overcrowded. Everyone was very nice and it was so much fun.

Service was very slow. Room was dirty. Would not return.

The Clevelander is in a great location but it is a bit outdated. The music is very load until 2:00 am so it hard to fall asleep early. It’s definitely a place for people who like to party. The pool is very very small and not what we expected. Live DJ so a great place to listen to music and outdoor dancing.

Loved Miami in February

Everything was clean and neat. The rooms, the poolside, the lobby and the sun deck all were so neat clean and nice to leisure at. The staff was amazing. Michelle at front desk was so attentive and kind the waiters and waitresses at the pool as well. I came with my 21 year old twins and one of their girlfriends. My friend flew in from Philly to meet us and stayed at a hotel nearby and was allowed to lounge at our pool and sundeck with us. Will definitely stay here again.

Everything!! The clevelanders south beach is an amazing hotel, a great atmosphere and perfect location

To improve more service, rooms should have mini fridge and mini microwave as well.

This world famous hotel is a MUST stay if you are in the mood to have a great time. The music is all day and night so be FULLY prepared to hear a DJ in your room late. If you are a light sleeper, request a room away from the pool area.

My stay was great! The rooms could’ve been a little more refurbished and updated, but the food & staff were amazing.

The property is very conveniently located. It is not the nicest and not super clean. Pool is not nice and not convenient.

Staff was super helpful when our room was too loud (pool view) - got us moved without issue!

Love the location of this hotel, walkable to restaurants and shops, near to clubs very safe to walk back even when youre drunk…very friendly staff specially the Filipina receptionist…

Wouldn't stay here again

Old hotel. Designed for partying. No amenities in room at all. Would not stay here again. Good location is only plus.

What I did not like is: There was no microwave, no refrigerator, no good channels on the TV. no one answered the phone when I called down to the desk so I had to keep going down there to ask a question. Nowhere to park and Valet parking is too high. I was there 4 days and they only came to clean the room once. All you get for breakfast is 1 croissant and a cup of coffee but you have to be called a profane word that starts with a B to get that. The only thing I did like is the beach is right across the street.

Great location and friendly staff!

Let me start saying I am pretty simple. A bed and shower is just fine for me. This property is across the street from South Beach. Plenty of places to find something for your taste within walking. Rooms are m much like a studio apartment but enjoy for me. It seemed like a club atmosphere in the common pool/bar area which was ok for a little while but we left to go somewhere to get a snack and drinks ate while. Pricing at the bar was quite high for my taste but is what it is. Great restaurant just next to the hotel that was great for people watching and more reasonable for what we got. Overall for a single night stay prior to cruise, well worth the spot to lay your head.

The property was as advertised. The staff was exceptionally nice and had suggestions on any questions that we may have had whether it be dining entertainment or shopping. The location can't be beat as it is in the middle of Ocean Boulevard and directly across the street from the beach access

The front desk Kristi was very pleasant they were short staffed, elevator was broke for 2 days I was on the 4th floor. The rooms are small but clean no fridge or microwave I had to request one it’s first comes. It’s very convenient to shops and restaurants.

Decent hotel

Room was freezing cold and heat didn't work and the water took 10 mins to get warm/hot. Was placed in a room for wheelchairs.

Filthy room, housekeeping did not show up, ice machine was broken, we requested ice multiple times and they did not show. Not a great experience.

Delayed and Laidback service. Property fees of 100$ additional for no actual service. Washroom was leaking with water coming into the room on top of that smaller room size. No morning coffee for all 3 days available in the hotel. Delay and poor service in checkout and checkin.

The hotel was cool. It needs some updating. We were in a Rockstar room. We had a living room and a sitting area with views all around the property. Only issue with our room was we were not able to get hot water. It was luke warm bordering on cold. We told the hotel and maintenance came to the room and advised us to turn the sink on and then the shower at the same time to get hot water which didn't work and staff already knew of this issue in the hotel. You could hear everytime someone flushed the toilet and you can hear the neighbors door closing and the neighbor on the other side conversations. Besides this the staff was nice.

Not again

This hotel is actually not on the beach, but x street from it. The room is very small, same with TV. The breakfast offererd is in another building about 2+ blocks away. We never did find it as directions werent very clear. The bar/lounge indoors was a glorified dive sports bar, and you had to get frisked to enter. Food was meh. Outdoor hip-hop bar wasn't too busy if you're into that. There was only one elevator, and it was small. The gal at the front desk was very nice, though. Coffee only in the lobby, that we didnt notice until we were checking out.

My stay at this hotel was great. The hotel staff was really friendly and was visible 24/7. Also you can’t be the location on Ocean Drive!

Quiete when sleeping happening at night

Housekeeping was horrible. I requested more towels as I was staying for multiple days. Housekeeping never came and I took towels from a basket that I saw housekeeping with. The headboard in my room was dusty as well. I liked that they had a dj every night and liked taking the bikes out for the day to explore South beach.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was beautiful and felt clean and fresh. I love the aroma throughout the property. The welcome drinks were amazing!!! Nice touch! I can't wait to return next year!

Clean but ill- equipped

The rooms were too small. The beds weren't queen sized like advertised and our room phone wasnt working and it was never fixed during our 4 day stay despite submitting a complaint. So we couldnt contact the hotel for any request or information and we stayed on the 5th floor. Also we booked the room for 3 persons but housekeeping kept outfitting the room for 2 with insufficient towels etc which was very annoying

The beds are falsely advertised as queen size and are small. The rooms are dirty and small. I was charged extra for ocean view and didn’t have an ocean view. Dirty floors and showers. Not worth the money at all.

Friendly Staff

The staff at the front desk was accommodating, nice and friendly, as well as the ladies that cleaned our room.

Party hotel

The customer service was great. The pictures in the halls were nice. The temperature of the room was good. The room wasn't clean. One of the bed's linens were dirty. The room wasn't that clean. The shower pressure and temperature were terrible. You could hear the party going on outside. Thankfully we were only staying overnight.

Great Property, was there a few weeks ago with friends. Staff was amazing and accommodating. Hotel was up to par with the cleanliness. Would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip. Thank you for that satisfaction.

The location was everything. Accessible to everything around South Beach. Walking distance or bike ride. I enjoyed both. The sun deck was awesome. Clubbing going on down below lights flashing it was a vibe. But what I can say is done let the pictures fool you. Hotel is outdated. Rooms are very small. I was upset that the outside of the windows were not clean so I was not able to look out at the pool view as the windows were smudged.

The room was filthy was scared to sleep under the covers, taped up remote. The door was sitting open upon my arrival, door rattled all the time someone else went their room next door I felt like someone was coming into my room.

This is a great location, near everything. Staff was great. Rooms are not very big, but other than that great! (My room was directly across from elevator so a bit of hall noise) its south beach!! It delivered what it was suppose to.

Disappointed Experience at the Iconic Clevelander

As Miami locals who've admired the Clevelander's iconic party atmosphere for over 30 years, we were excited to finally book a room for two nights. Sadly, our experience fell short of expectations. Breakfast Blues Our breakfast, consisting of a croissant and coffee, required a block-long trek with my impairment of my knee and waiting in line. Not the start we had envisioned. Restricted Access and Disrespect Despite a sign at the counter claiming we had access to the entire building, we were denied entry to the pool. On the rooftop, where we were the only guests, security guard Joshua confronted us rudely for having two beers on the table. He accused us of intending to get drunk and even suggested we might jump off the roof. When we asked for a manager, Joshua made a call and then allowed us to stay until 11 pm, but no manager was available. Miscommunication and False Promises After going downstairs to speak with a manager, we were informed that no manager or supervisor was on duty. Head of security, Michael, explained the misunderstanding and said we could stay on the rooftop until whenever we wished. Went back to rooftop.Later, a staff member promised a bottle of wine would be sent to our room as an apology, but it never arrived before our checkout. Final Thoughts This experience was disheartening, to say the least. We hope the Clevelander addresses these issues to prevent future guests from facing similar disappointments. Specially the locals that we admire you so much.

Everything about it from the moment we pulled up til we left after 3 days was amazing

Not recommended

The hotel itself was average, needs work. The bathrooms offer zero privacy, no ventilation, shower had rusty tiles, the faucets were hard to turn and it just felt unclean. The party area had way more hype than we actually experienced and the best part was being harassed by security in the lobby. I was actually approached and interrogated by a guard, even after providing him with my key card. He implied several times that I was a prostitute, awesome way to treat your hotel guests. Save your money check out The ocean front hotel very clean and great staff.

Hello just wanted to say this place was absolutely amazing my husband and I were very happy with this place staff were very welcoming and the bar down stairs very impressed and affordable we will be staying here again our next trip we thank you so much !!!

The property is pretty much a come in only to sleep kind of property. There is absolutely nothing in that hotel. I love to party, but there is a time I would like to sleep but the guests already get too drunk and the hotel walls does not cancel any noise from your neighbours. You can hear them partying in the room, using the bathroom, opening and closing their doors. The bedroom doors are extremely noisy. The staff does not speak English at all. It is complicated at times to ask for anything.

We loved our stay here!! Super convenient to everywhere we needed to go. Great staff and our room was great!! The bar and facilities were fun!

Nothing like the pictures, everything run down or not working, walls are paper thin and you can hear the conversations in the room next door or hallway all night. Only positive - Staff is friendly and welcoming and lobby is nice and clean.

Close to everything. Had to wait for an hour for a toilet roll. We end up go get it by ourself. There was no welcome drink or breakfast as promised.

Property is excellent. Upon enquiring about city tour, the staff did help but looted 40$ from us saying it's city tour cost where as the actual cost of city tour was only 35$ each. She took cash from us without telling that it's her commision she is taking

I never leave any reviews. But the Clevelander was an incredible experience. From the staff, the food the elite customer service. All of it was great room clean, towels on point attention to detail always given and noticed the moment I stayed with this hotel. I recommend friends, family and anyone that asks me where they can stay in Miami Beach. I moved out of Miami years ago. But when I do return to vacation. The Clevelander will definitely be my go to stay. Until next time!!
