Comfortable rooms in the heart of London. Easy access to the underground and walkable to Westminster, Trafalgar Sq and points beyond
Central location
Perfect location
The beds were fine and all the pillows new. Kitchen small but adequately equipped. However it was on 2 floors with steep awkward winding stairs and the only loo wsd downstairs next to the kitchen so if you need to go during the night it's a real pain.
Excellent all round
Very small bathroom, bed and sofa bed are old and not very comfortable
The good: Very central location, easy to get to the subway. Staff was helpful and fast to respond. The bad: No room service as in no one comes to clean the room refresh the towels and toiletries etc. . There were lots of homeless people few steps away from the hotel. Their king beds are even smaller than a queen bed. Linens are old. The hallways make you feel you're in the wrong place. We heard Street noise while in the room and the windows let in a cold breeze.
Only good location.
They don't clean the room (I asked for it and it was paid). There is no amenity, but there is a public shampoo and body wash. The dishwasher is rusty. The location is good, so you can stop by while sightseeing and rest and go out. Free coffee was provided unlimitedly.
Two bedrooms and a fold out couch, the foldout bed was the most uncomfortable bed we ever slept on, the pillows should embarrass the hotel very old hard and lumpy. The two bedrooms are upstairs with the shower the toilet is down steep spiral steps. They did have a tea kettle and tea that we liked. Had to get them change the thermostat they argued it worked even though the first person to arrive couldn’t make it work. There was a nice view out the windows but had to stand on a chair to see it.
Clean but not the best hotel.
When you arrive at 11 am, it seems not very smart that the first rooms they might clean would be for the people who arrived on early planes and not worry about the rooms for people who will check in that night. I was told the room would be ready in 20 minutes 3 times after I came back at 2:30 pm and then the new desk person told me they hadn't even started cleaning it yet. It felt like there was confusion and panic everywhere.
Best location!
Great value for money in central London
The accommodation was very spacious for central London. The facilities were amazing - everything you could need. The bed was comfortable and the room was reasonably quiet. Overall I was very impressed.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean.
Excellent location. Can be loud !!
5 day stay
Two of the desk workers were very helpful. One of the desk workers could not speak English well and so we could not understand him related to transportation to the airport. The hostess for breakfast was at times helpful and at other times very abrupt. The mattress was old and worn and the bedding pulled. The coffee maker was great and appreciated it being available at all times. Breakfast was convenient. Great location!
Great Hotel for Trafalgar Square Area
Very friendly and convenient for a great location neat Trafalgar Square and area.
Great location.
Hotel was lovely. Great location right near Trafalgar Square. Helpful Staff. Clean, but the grouting and shower needed a bit of TLC.
Excellent location, staff very helpful, room was fab
Location, Location, Location!
Staff were super helpful and friendly. Great central location perfect for exploring and easy access to transportation. My room was very quiet and loved having the kitchenette. Really enjoyed my visit.
A Good One!
Location great close to galleries, west end and the river. Well received on arrival and for London good size room with small kitchenette facilities. It really is a very good option for central London
The bathroom had black mold
Nice hotel Trafalgar Square
Loved our stay and great location. Nice breakfast too
Loved the coffee
Located near Trafalgar Square, transportation use via subways & of tourist hop-on hop-off busses are quite easily reached. Near also by walk to River Thames. The hotel lobby is inviting, welcoming and uncluttered. Desk staff are friendly, helpful & informative, and knows their craft well (engaging, polite, succinct & efficient). The rooms are spacious, and depending on what you have chosen - comes with convenient amenities like a medium-sized refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and basic utensils. The beds are comfortable. Curtains are thick enough to provide sound insulation. The interior set-up is modernized and does not look outdated. Bathroom are quite decent, up par & functional, and abridged… toilet seat is adjacent but separate from the shower enclosure and sink. Though unusual, it does make privy and efficient the multi-person use of doing about your business while the others get on with sink & shower use. Cuts down on waiting time, or there’s not much need for spaced-out, staggered individual use. The surrounding neighborhood of the hotel is not devoid of small convenience stores, eateries & restaurants, and fast food. Further walking, one finds subsequent neighborhoods and their interesting array of shops, cuisine places, etc… such as the West End theatre district.
staff are accommodating, great property in terms of space, quiet room, quality beddings, walkable to all attractions, upgrade was excellent
Fifth visit finds worst room. No early checkin.
A bit worn and not very clean. Ready for a refresh, but still expensive due to location.
Perfect location for everything a tourist would want and all in walking distance
This was the 2nd time I stayed at the Citadines. I enjoyed both stays. Oscar, at the desk, was so helpful. He assisted with accessing the laundry for us and with other problems. He was professional and pleasant every time we saw him!
Great location for London sightseeing, especially in dreary and rainy weather. We loved having everything in walking distance: sights, restaurants and theatres. We also like the Aparthotel style and servicing and the space. Will definitely be back when next in London.
Staff was great
We wanted to just walk to the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery, and have easy access to West End shows, restaurants, and other attractions. We also wanted to prepare a few of our own simple meals. Hotels with those options were crazy-pants expensive. But Citadines had a perfect location, a pleasant, comfortable room and lobby see-up, and a 24-hour coffee machine. The optional breakfast is nothing spectacular, but it’s convenient. And I was very surprised how quiet our room was!
Great visit to London
We booked a one bedroom apartment as we were meeting up with friends from USA. Really appreciated the space it provided. Our apartment overlooked the street but we had no difficulty sleeping, very comfortable bed. Perfect location.
Lovely hotel, great location. Loved the morning coffee bar.
Location is excellent
Good stay in a great location
The location was centrally located in London, with only a short walk to places like the Savoy, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and Trafalgar Square.
Great location, central to major attractions. Excellent front desk staff, very responsive and attentive .
Wonderful location with easy access to tube. Friendly, helpful staff. Laundry access was a plus. Clean room with kitchenette. Would definitely recommend, we would stay here again.
Tired, dated and poor service!
Extremely disappointed with the hotel and especially the room. The room was extremely tired, fittings in the bathroom broken and all metal fixings rusting and falling off (for example the grab handles by the bath, the covers we not attached showing the rusting screws and dirt underneath). Paint around the door handles all scratched the the point of bare wood underneath. Minimal toiletries supplied. We stayed for 2 nights and no fresh towels delivered and the room not made up. I paid for the "arrival package" of a bottle of wine and box of chocolates. The items were delivered to the room after arrival... a warm bottle of white wine (even though there was a fridge full in the lobby) and a cheap bar of chocolate. The bed was simply 2 singles pushed together with a king sheet on top, no mattress topper to make it feel like an actual queen/king so extremely uncomfortable. As a frequent global traveller this hotel would not meet a 2 star anywhere else in the world. Extremely disappointing especially given the price!
Great place to stay and will definitely be back! They even had a wee play area in the foyer that my 1 year old loved!
Excellent location, near by Trafalgar Square. A few minutes walk to Thames River, Underground System. Walkable to London Eyes, Big Ben and other attractions.
A little dated but clean and the location cannot be beaten. Plenty of food options and river is only a block away. Close to tube stations and train stations. Would recommend.
Location is great. Close to transportation and sights.
Comfortable hotel, friendly and helpful staff, central location.
Stayed here before and although the rooms are dated it’s in a great location so we decided to stay again. Biggest problem is this time we stayed on the mezzanine floor which backs straight onto a lane with people leaving the pub there all hours of the night and it is so noisey at night and I’m not a light sleeper. We didn’t have a good nights sleep the whole four nights we stayed there. That combine with the property needing an update we would be thinking twice before booking there again.
Good stay
Fast check-in and check-out. Staff nice. Location good. Room clean and tidy.
We were very surprised of the condition of the hotel when we arrived. The property is very old and the room was dark. Kitchen area was very small. The beds were uncomfortable . There was no separate shower, just a bath and the bath was very tall and not comfortable to use with a child. The toilet was old with small sink on the top of the toilet. We had booked for multiple days and requested to check out the next day. The hotel staff was very accommodating and nice and allowed us to check out without any issues. The hotel was in close proximity to many landmarks.
Very nice place to stay.
Location was great, a few steps from trafalgar square
Week in London
Great location. Great staff
Location is great. Close to shopping, dining and Vatican City. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice to have a laundry on site (included in the room cost).
Good location!
Clean and tidy, staff friendly
This is a great place to stay. The rooms were a little dated and that was fine. The area for the biggest improvement is cleaning. For example, under the bed and the laundry room. Overall, I would recommend and would stay here again.
I called the day before to ask about a fridge in the room and borrowing some glasses as we had family coming together at the hotel before out to celebrate my daughter’s 21st. Both members of staff I spoke to could not have been more helpful and friendly. Everything about the hotel was great.
Great location - and it has a mini kitchen!
Location of this hotel was EXCELLENT! Right by Trafalgar Square and close to the multiple public transport options. Locally circle, Chinatown, Theater district with all the broadway shows all VERY close by. Espresso machine downstairs was a favorite of the family. Free espresso or hot chocolate each morning and all day long. The laundry within the unit washed the clothes but didn’t exactly dry them. Closets were small and room was tight but still massively better than the hotel we had (major chain). Would definitely stay here again on a London stay.
We were very impressed with this hotel. Very clean, our rooms had a lot of space, a 5 minute walk to the undergrounds, and friendly staff. We would stay there again.
This is a lovely location! However the room we got this time was smaller and in a noisier area. We could hear everyone’s conversation while they waited for the elevator. The walls for our room were paper thin. Aside from that, I’d recommend it. It’s great for a short stay
Very poor conditions and overpriced
Horrible conditions in the hotel and room for way too high a price. A/C didn’t work, and room was dirty. In desperate need of an upgrade. The staff was not helpful, and rushed us out at checkout time… our key wouldn’t work even 10 mins before the agreed checkout! The location was wonderful, but besides that, would avoid Citadines.
Not bad
Not bad, but expensive for what we got.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Leonardo Boutique in Salzburg and had an exceptional experience, which I would rate five stars. The location is unbeatable—situated close to the river, it provides easy access to the old town and numerous top-tier restaurants nearby. This made exploring the beautiful city of Salzburg incredibly convenient and enjoyable. A special mention goes to Behrouz at the reception. His patience and kindness in helping us choose our room options were greatly appreciated. His exceptional service made us feel welcomed and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Our room on the fifth floor was bright, clean, and well-equipped, providing a comfortable and pleasant stay. We stayed for three nights and found that the hotel significantly contributed to our enjoyment of the Sound of Music city. I highly recommend Hotel Leonardo Boutique for anyone visiting Salzburg. It truly enhances the experience of this charming city.
Best hotel and best location
The location of property was absolutely perfect and walkable to numerous sights! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The suite with kitchen amenities most appreciated. Bathrooms in need of a refresh or perhaps upgraded paint. Looked very tired and dirty with stains on walls and ceilings
We stay at the Citadine frequently when travelling with our family as our parents like the ease of using the facility as it has a mini kitchen in the room. We prefer hotel services with more a service and amenities so the comparison is not a good one. However, if you are looking for convenient and a place to grab food and bring it back to your room to cook, this is a great spot and they have coffee and tea available all day for free.
Everything is 20 mins walking
Excellent Location, clean, friendly. Recommend.
Excellent experience. Nice room and comfortable bed, clean and comfortable. Excellent location near the tube, Trafalgar Square, shops and galleries. Would stay here again.
location was great but everything else was not so nice at all. we were stayed only one night.... If stay longer, I might asked refund and changed the hotel.
It's a great location to visit all places in central London. We didn't try breakfast but they have kitchenette which worked for us. Nice staff. Highly recommend!!
All very good
Excellent hotel great location
Very Convenient.
Excellent location. Friendly staff. Clean. Good kitchenet which was very helpful. Good free coffee any time. What else do you need for vacation. Very important: safe Internet connection.
Clean, accessible to many historical sites, food and theaters. Close to the Underground and buses.
Disappointing stay. Bailed out after one night due to an appallingly bad night's sleep. Uncomfortable beds and a lot of ambient noise from other guests. Rudest receptionist ever. Couldn't drag a please, thank you or any kind of pleasantry from him at all. Will not be returning.
Great location. Close to transportation and restaurants
Wow!!!! I was impressed with this property, so much nicer than I expected. I had a studio room and it was a fantastic size!. I booked this for the London Landmarks Half and the location was perfect! Couldnt been any closer!!! Highly rate!!!
It was close to all of the areas we a wanted to visit and extremely close to the underground so we had an easier time traveling to places we couldn’t walk to
Great location
It is in a great area with the most amazing staff, good quality breakfast and the most amazing coffee machin with many options. It is old and smells, definitely not a 4 start rating (maybe in Europe it's different) however, we stayed in a 2 bedroom townhouse style 2 story room. Other rooms might be in a better condition.
Apartment/hotel style accommodation.
A fabulous location! Very serviceable basic hotel suitable for a week’s stay. I highly recommend it.
I enjoyed our stay very much. This property is in the middle of the London attaractions. staff are very friendly and helpful.
We were her last year and it was nice to see the same gentleman from last year and he remembered us and I remembered him 😁
Spacious accomodation for being in the heart of London. Very convenient location near the tube stations and many dining options available. Property was clean, and kitchenette very useful. I only wish the sofa was a bit more comfortable. My family loved the free coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine in the lobby. Although the front clerk was kind enough to set up my taxi ride to the airport, taxi driver that showed up seemed unprofessional. Would expect a more legit contact through the hotel (Black cab)
Fantastic location, accessible from 2 underground stations. Everywhere is walkable from here. Staff friendly and helpful and amenities have everything you need.
we totally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The first room that they checked us into had a view of a brick wall, I called down to let them know that it was my first time in London and did they not have a room with a better view… They immediately changed my room, and I was so happy with the outcome. I can’t say enough about how, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable and enjoy our stay in London
Loved location, staff, super comfortable bed. The bathtub was quite hard to get in and out of for a short person! Could have used lots more hangers.
Loved the size of the rooms and its location near the metro
Great Location and easy to get to tourist attractions by foot or Tube.
Not clean. Smelled.
Easy to get around Central London. Easy check in and check out.
Lovely accommodation
Very nice accommodation, perfect location, lovely staff
Great hotel but expensive on New Year's Eve
Very expensive stay but very convenient for the NYE fireworks. I think we got the last room in the hotel. It was a comfortable studio with a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave, dishwasher and hob. The Aircon was stuck when we arrived but a maintenance man came over and got it working for us.
Overall stay was fine. Room was clean and bed was comfortable, staff was polite. A little more information about where things were located on check would be helpful; where the ice machine was located for example. My sister and I arrived too early to actually get into our room, but they stored our bags which was great.
The description of “City View” is a bit misleading. The room windows are very high so we were not able to see the city. The property doesn’t not have a step free access. They could have also provided some basic cooking essentials like oil, salt, and pepper in addition to some garbage bags.
Good place to stay - would recommend
Good points: Room was a good size and well-equipped kitchenette. Great location Very quiet - no street noise. Clean Bad points: Check in was slow - only one person on the desk, other staff around but not checking people in. Checkout also took longer than it should. I think their computer system is very slow, which doesn't help. The cooked "English" breakfast was disappointing - especially hashbrowns (rubbery) and sausages. However there were loads of other good options included in the price (£15) such as continental, fresh waffles, cereal, fruit and yoghurt.
Great place to stay within walking distance to all the sites you want to see
Nice hotel in Gral Could use some Updating in the hallways
