Would not stay there again
Clean, comfortable, very convenient.
The hotel was clean, contactless check in was easy, the place is conveniently located close to La Spezia Centrale. The host even provided great restaurant recommendations! Will be staying here again if I ever return to visit Cinque Terre. Thank you!
Outstanding clean and modern room. I definitely recommend this place and I’ll be back one day.
Cental to the hub of the old town
The property manger was amazing allowed us early check in due to train strike she was so helpful. The room was very comfortable and modern with a balcony to relax have coffee and tea. Loved it.
The walls are paper thin. No sleeping through the night or sleeping in past 6am. I could hear my neighbor every time he took a piss or used the faucet and the cleaning staff was very noisy early in the morning. Slamming doors and could hear footsteps and conversations. No water offered or a telephone. Fridge but not a “mini-bar” as advertised. Dark entryway and hallways. I would not recommend this to any woman traveling alone. Save money on the throw pillows and fake plants and spend it on insulation.
Owner provided clear instructions to enter the appartment room. The pictures were very helpful to identify the correct building. Owner responded promptly to texting (needed to gain first entry). Close to Centrale train station and pedestrian areas. Place was very clean and quiet and safe. Would recommend!
My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2023, and had a fantastic stay. As soon as we arrived in Italy, our host Keta was in constant communication with us and allowed us to check in 4 hours earlier due to having an early morning flight from Edinburgh. Our room was immaculate, and we loved sitting out in the terrace each evening before dinner. The room was cleaned everyday and was always in a spotless condition. The location near the train station was perfect for us as we were visiting the cinque terre, and it was also near via prione where there are many excellent bars and restaurants. Would gladly recommend staying here to anyone thinking of visiting La Spezia and the surrounding area. Thank you Keta!
Incredible location only a few minutes away from the train station! Keta was wonderful and she started communicating with us shortly after we booked. She provided us with detailed information about where to park our car and how much we would pay. The room was clean, modern and with plenty of linen and toiletries. Keta also gave us some wonderful dining recommendations in the area and was available throughout our trip for questions. We felt at home and the breakfast provided was delicious! I would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Cinque Terre!
The owner, Keta, is wonderful. She sent clear check-in instructions, made stellar restaurant recommendations, and checked with us via Whatsapp to make sure everything was working well. Our room was super clean and modern, with a bathroom much nicer than mine at home (I covet the lighted mirror!). The proximity to the train station made it really convenient. Highly recommend!
It was very pleasant to stay there.
Excellent property, excellent location, only 5 minutes away from the main train station, with clean and newly remodeled room. We stayed there for one week with unforgettable memories for each day. We were able to take a day trip to nearby cities and conveniently come back to our place. In addition to Cinque Terre villages for three days, we managed to see Lucca, Pizza and Portofino. Keta, the owner , is extremely pleasant and super helpful. She is so friendly with excellent attitude and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Property is very clean and the amenities are great. I highly recommend it.
Great property approx 10 mins walk from the train station; and close to the centre of La Spezia. Residences are on the 4th floor, make use of the lift!!
Very clean and the host was attentive and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. For the price you’d be insane not to stay here.
We had a delightful stay at Cinque Terre Behind. The apartment is exactly as advertised. The host is very friendly and prompt in her responses. The train station is a short walk away. La Spezia is a great home base to explore Cinque Terre, very accessible, reasonable and away from the touristy bustle of Cinque Terre. La Spezia is a great town and we ended spending a lot time there! All in all, as the property name suggests, it’s right behind Cinque Terre and we loved it!
This was a very comfortable property and conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from the station. Our hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. Great place to stay!
Great hotel close to station and everything else.
We booked our stay the day of and got a fantastic deal. The room was all you need. Big bathrooms. Close to everything. The food in the area is amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful.
La Spezia
Great location close to train station, very clean room.
Excellent
It was a great place to stay while visiting Cinque Terre. Super convenient location within a 5-min walk to the train station and pedestrian shopping area.
Very nice room, and very good value. Recently renovated. 5 minute walk to railway station.
Very clean and very close to train station giving you access to all of Cinque Terre. Really Cinque Terre behind this hotel. Must advise before arrival otherwise no one to receive you. Very friendly people.
Great location to stay if you are visiting the Cinque Terre. The property is within walking distance of the La Spezia Centrale train station. We just came back from our trip to Italy. It tooks us 5 minutes to walk to the train station from the hotel. The streets are safe and have few restaurants with decent meal. It took us 5 minutes to get to Riomaggiore by train and 15 minutes to Monterosso del Mare. The property staff is friendly, welcoming and very resourceful. The exterior appearance of the building can be deceiving however the rooms are impeccable, modern, new and very well maintained. Keta is wonderful and willing to go above and beyond to accommodate her guests.
I'm very thankful that despite us not being able to turn up within the check in times, they still came out to drop the keys off to us. We were welcomed by the owner and shown to a modern and clean room. The apartment is a short walk from the station and streets lined with shops and restaurants. A great located apartment, would highly recommend!
We have a nice and comfort time stayed in Cinque Terre behind , only downside no front desk , have to well arrange with Kata before, otherwise like us try to contact her when we were outside the building with no internet , it’s a problem ! Until someone walked pass and phoned her for us ! But we have hanging around about a hour with the hot weather ! The outside building was a bit disappointed but inside is Morden and new and very clean! And near the station !
I found it really easy to communicate with the host, she was friendly and met me at the apartment as we’d arranged. The apartments and new with all modern facilities, shower is really powerful and hot. WiFi is excellent. The cleaning is exceptional, it’s absolutely spotless and easily the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed in. Location is perfect for La Spezia station and travelling to Cinque Terre and beyond. It’s also really convenient for shopping, restaurants and supermarkets (the apartment building has a lift too!) The room I stayed in had a balcony but no furniture which was a bit odd as if you wanted to sit outside, you could only sit on the floor. The major negative for me was the noise - the rooms are not soundproofed as advertised. The neighbours tv sounded like it was in my apartment and any noise they made (literally just living, they didn’t seem to be overly noisy people) was heard which made sleep difficult. Also noise travels easily from the other apartments - the bathroom extractor and water is really loud and if you get inconsiderate guests that spend the evening shouting and screaming, you’ll be disturbed.
Great location to train station and pedestrian-only streets for dining and shopping. The area is quiet and safe, seems like living among locals which was nice. The owner is very friendly and keeps the place immaculate. The rooms are modern, new and clean. Good WiFi service.
This property is listed as a B & B which it is not! It is not even a hotel but rather a collection of rooms in an older condo building. We had to wait in the entry until a resident helped us contact the manager. We were close to walking out to find another accommodation. When we finally were escorted to the room, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was newly renovated, very clean and modern. The location is excellent as it is very near the train station with easy access to Cinque Terre. Our only other complaint is that is was VERY noisy, both from rooms on either side and above. I think we could have done better.
Helpful owner to gain access...large room...close to train station
Clean comfortable room will definitely return
The property was super clean and very close to main amenities. Check-in was just a call away and was offered lots of information in regards to La Spezia and Cinque Terre. It is an apartment complex so there is no friend desk staff but if you have any issues the owner is just a call away. I did find it a tad noisy at times but it was just due to other guests who had a small child running in the hallway. I would stay there again!
I agree with most postings, very nice updated & clean room. My only problem was the air conditioning, did not seem to work well. This is a great place to stay for Cinque Terre day trips.
Location was great, really close to the train station. Check out was super easy. There was even a balcony, and it had all the extra amenities.
great place to stay
Everything about the room and location was great.
Property was very clean. Quiet and convenient to dona daytrip to Cinque Terre. Walkinh distance to the train stn. houesekeeping comes to clean the room amd change towels daily. The only thing, the cleaner took our travelling cutlery(plastic) which they shld not do as we need to ise those for travelling .
Amazing find
What an gem! My friend and I were looking for a place to stay while visiting Cinque Terre, although we wanted to visit all 5 villages, we didn't exactly want to stay in any of them as we thought they would be crowded and touristy (which they were). Cinque Terre Behind was the perfect compromise, as it was located a 5 minutes walk to the train station which allowed for easy access to all of the villages. There is a train that goes to all five every 10-15 minutes or so. The hotel itself was sparkling clean and brand new it seemed, or newly refurbished. Beds were comfortable, the owner very sweet and accommodating. We had booked the hotel whilst literally standing outside the door, and although the owner doesn't live on the property, she was there within 15 minutes with her son in tow to translate in case any issue. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and highly recommend this place.
Recently renovated new. The rooms are sparkling clean and in superb condition! The staff is very friendly, helpful and responsive. The accommodation is just a few minutes from the train station, so it's a good base camp for a visit to the Cinque Terre. I definitely recommend this place!
perfect place to stay
Very nice modern room with private bathroom just like the photos. Has everything you need. 5 minutes walk to the train station and very close to the center of La Spezia. Note that you have to contact the property owner beforehand to coordinate a time to meet for check in. We forgot to but once contacted the lady was very nice and met up right away.
Clean, tidy, friendly
Once past the drab exterior, the apartments are very modern and well presented. The bathroom was excellent, and clearly some money has been spent on the place. The owners live off-site and you have to give them a text or a call when you arrive to get a key. The owner was friendly and helpful. You can leave your bags in the (locked) entry hall after check-out. The owners can buzz you in remotely to pick up your bags when you leave, if you call them. If you want breakfast, I don't recommend you go to the tourist breakfast place a few minutes away by the square - it's quite horrible food. Instead, just take a walk down the main street where there are a couple of bakeries offering delicious stuff.
Nice clean modern B&B Next to station which takes u directly to cinque terre
No lobby - Difficult communication
This is not the ideal place for someone without a smartphone with international access. The hotel is located in a residency building where you need a key to get inside the hall and a smartkey card to get in the room. This is not an hotel not even a motel. You will need to communicate with the owner for the "check-in" since there is no lobby or someone available during the day. In addition, even if you get-in touch with them (I used WhatsApp), you might need to wait X hours or even 1 day to get a response. It is unacceptable !!! After receiving a response, we told them the time of arrival and sent another text message 15 minutes prior to arriving. No one was there to welcome us ! We send 5 text messages, no one answered. Finally, we reached them after two failed voice call. For you information, WhatsApp allow us to see when the other person reads our message. Well, it happens 7 hours after we arrived in front of the building. The manager barely speaks English, the translator was her teenager son ! Bottom line, find somewhere else, otherwise you might wonder around the area to book a last minute hotel room. The building is a 5 minutes walk from La Spezia Centrale station. The place is pretty nice and modern, but hey, if you don't manage to get inside... who cares !
No breakfast but rooms are good
Pros: Big clean room Comfortable bed Close to station, good location for exploring Cinque Terre Cons: No breakfast, even though advertised Uncomfortable pillows TV only in Italian The lady that conducted our check-in had very limited english, but she was friendly. The room was large and clean but the minibar was empty, even though the pictures on the listing show a stocked fridge. From the outside it doesn't look like much but once inside the rooms are nice and modern. The Bnb takes up a portion of one floor of the building with about 6 rooms. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were so hard, and there were no additional pillows in the wardrobe to choose from. You should give your customers an option of softer pillows. There was no one that worked for the Bnb around while we were there, and there was definitely no breakfast at the premises even though the listing advertised breakfast and our booking said breakfast was included. I tried emailing the office twice to inquire about it but the email address did not work. This is not good service. If you advertise something and your customers pay for it then you should deliver as promised. La Spezia was charming, we ended up spending more time exploring it than we had anticipated.
Central but quiet location.
Beautiful modern rooms and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Extremely nice, modern boutique in Cinque Terre
This is a family-run hotel with a limited number of units, which are exceptionally comfortable and clean, especially for its price point. It's a superb value. The family is incredibly nice but speaks limited English - only the kids are able to converse. However, communication is easy with a language translation app. The rooms come with water and snacks, which are re-stocked every day, and are well air-conditioned during the summer season. It is located near the train station in La Spezia, which makes it one of the most convenient places to stay in the Cinque Terre region if you don't stay in one of the five main villages, which tend to be older with fewer modern amenities. There's a supermarket and pharmacy within a few walking blocks, which is extremely convenient before embarking into the five villages.
Close to station
Do not let the outside of the building put you off, the inside is very smart, well appointed and very comfortable. Being close to the town, port, and Station means getting around is easy, we would stay again when in the area.
Great hotel close to the train
The hotel rooms are exactly like the pictures. There are many other occupants in the building and when you get inside the actual hotel part (on the 4th floor), it is like being transported to modern decorated rooms. It is really close to the train (5min) but a little confusing to find. I took pictures of the map directions on my phone and followed it. They provided vouchers for breakfast at a restaurant about 2 min away which was pretty good. The woman that met with us was very accommodating but spoke little English. However, we were able to communicate. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I were to return to La Spezia or Cinque Terre, I would stay here again.
Nice but limitations
The owners were not ready for guests. The wifi password was incorrect. They did not know how to work the safes. Our bathroom needed workers to come in and still do some fixing. The address listed is not correct. We had to ask several people how to get to the place. It is actually in an apartment building. Consists of half of the 4th floor. They did not speak any English and we spoke little Italian. Seem like it will be good once they work things out. Check in time is limited. There is nobody there most of the time if you have any issues and we had no way of contacting anybody if we had a problem.
Super recomandado.
Very pretty and central location
Very nice, new and clean. But it feels more like some rooms for rent than a B&B. The hallway in the building was pitch dark. Very creepy. We had to use a flashlight to see anything. Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not worl the first night. It was only blowing warm air, not cold. We informed the owner and asked if she could call or come to fix it, but there was little help to get from the owner. We had to manually restart it every 15 minutes throughout the night, or else we would sweat to death. Luckily, it worked properly the second night. The walls were very thin between the rooms. You could hear the neighbors or people walking in the hallway very clearly. Otherwise, it was a good location, close to the train station, with a nice and clean room.
Limpieza y cercanía a la estación del tren
Perfect
My stay here was amazing. Keta was very attentive and helpful. I will definitely stay here again!
