It was an amazing experience staying here. At first you see the beauty and elegance of this property and then you’re met with this heavenly scent. The service was great, the restaurant had some of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted. Just really enjoyed myself and will definitely be coming back.
Beautiful property, clean and excellent service.
It’s with regret I give this hotel a 2 star review but I feel it is fair and balanced for this hotel in its current state. Cons: First impressions count for a lot. My wife and I had let the hotel know in advance we were celebrating our honeymoon having just married in France. The hotel confirmed they would organise something special for us. However nothing was arranged at all which felt anticlimactic and disappointing. However i haven’t let this tarnish the rest of the review as this may have been a simple mistake. There are also no umbrellas for guests to use, even to simply move luggage into the car park. The spa area is nice, but the hot tub was out of service for the duration of our stay. Our shower didn’t drain quickly so each shower I ended standing in still water. In addition the bathroom mirrors steam up easily due to poor extractors. Finally our service at reception wasn’t good. On check in we were told breakfast was extra which we had to challenge as we’d got breakfast included with our booking. Then on checkout we were presented a bill that included the nightly rate which we’d already paid, correcting this took 10 minutes. A few of these points standalone probably wouldn’t warrant a negative review but together it added up to be too much for a 5 star establishment. Pros: Excellent breakfast and good wait staff who couldn’t be faulted. The rooms are pleasant and modern with good air conditioning systems. Pleasant luggage porters. Beautiful setting. Very clean and at
Beautiful and upscale
The bellboy was really wonderful, he made us feel like a palace resort, he taking care of us and our luggage and we only stopped for 15 minutes because the room wasn’t ready, but when we came back later at night everything was ready in the room
One of the best properties we have ever stayed at!
Very lovely place & pool area particularly nice but service for F&B extremely slow.
Muy bonita y su personal muy amable, los lugares de alrededor espléndidos
Average
Nice hotel but a little outdated
Only 3 minute from Charle De Gauls airport, in the middle of a forest . The hotel is beautiful both outside and inside. Very nice staff, great bar and restaurant. Breakfast Buffet was excellent. Great gym, pool and overall amenities.
Perfect perfect
Absolutely perfect, we will be coming back. Every aspect was top notch. WONDERFUL
Beautiful property
We paid for a mid-grade room. It had some character in decor and was nicely appointed. We thought that charging for K-cups was a lot to ask, however. The staff is extremely friendly, kind, and go above and beyond to provide the best for their guests. The grounds are gorgeous!
Excellent AND beautiful
Beautiful property in a quiet rural area. Nice amenities and very clean rooms. On the hotel information it says 120 Euro for round trip airport shuttle which they didn't honour it, cost 150 Euro. Restaurant menu selection a little small but the food and wine were very good. Service lacked for a 5 star
Nice stay
All good but one rude receptionist …
WONDERFUL PROPERTY!!!
Very pretty place reasonably close to the airport.
Awesome!
The hotel is very clean and comfortable but the spa area is a bit disappointing. The Swimming pool is very small. Also it is important to book massage ahead of time, as they don't seem to have that many slots available. The restaurants are very good
The quietness of the hotel and the area. The staff were friendly and helpful.
This is a incredible place and a true five stars hotel. Great swimming pool great view of the forest fantastic rooms. The restaurant is pricy and the food not that great but the atmosphere is great
Impeccable Service I would Highly Recommend this Hotel!
Beautiful site. Must make a dinner reservation before you arrive as there was no room in the outside casual dining when we arrived.
Charming Updated Chateau in quiet setting near CDG
Honestly I was prepared for the chateau to be charming but perhaps tired. I was pleasantly surprised to find a recently remodeled hotel that was clean and modern in a charming chateau. We were greeted warmly and all the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable in every detail. One of our party mentioned a lack of USB outlets in the room, but that is not a complaint. We will plan to return and the location near the airport is ideal for late morning or afternoon flights.
Beautiful, small hotel is scenic setting. Wonderful staff. Unfortunately, often used for business conferences and meetings, which preempted our use of the dining room for diner. The bar menu was generous and delicious, however. The pool is indoors and small, the hot tub's heater was turned off. But the spa staff was exceptional.
Be sure to have a car....
Very lovely but very removed from and town to walk to. Great if you have a car.
Nice experience to stay in an old castle in an area close to downtown
One of the best hotels I stayed in.100% this hotel will be in my best hotel list. Very nice welcome by all the staff . Happy staff . Clean and quiet very relaxing time . My and my wife can’t wait to visit this hotel again. Big thanks to everyone at the hotel.
History in a beautiful building- needs some....
The area of Chantilly is very beautiful and on arrival the hotel is a massive chateau, the overall feeling is the hotel is a little tired and need some extra tlc. We stayed in a upgraded room - the challenges are no update plug sockets, no coffee machine it was powdered instant coffe - 5* that’s a huge no. Faculties is the room, no extra cushions, toiletries were nice, the restaurant experience was okay although wrong order delivered and we asked for a table at 8pm and told no want available yet the restaurant was empty? The pool and spa was tired and also the pool wasn’t clean. Overall glad we went and saw this part of France although overall wouldn’t go back unless it had a refurb
The hotel is situated in a very lush secluded side of Paris. It’s the ultimate getaway to relax and enjoy nature!
The hotel was beautiful. Far from the city but I enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly. The room service was great.
My relaxing stay
Was a great place to see sites close by and very quiet place
Disabled Access Room Review.
As a wheelchair user I pre booked the Disabled Access room at the hotel. The room is large and very nicely furnished. Sadly, like so many hotels, the management deem it necessary to locate the wheelchair room near to some noisy extractors (The pool I think). The bathroom is of a good size but does not have a shower wall mounted seat and suitable hand rails. A basic necessity for a accessible room. I thus requested a plastic chair for use. A stool was thereafter supplied which was too small, thus I was forced to use my own wheelchair whilst in the shower, far from perfect. Otherwise the room was very impressive. The hotel has parking at differing heights and does not provide a dedicated disabled parking bay. We were lucky and managed to park at the ideal point. A dedicated bay should be considered by the hotel. Overall an impressive hotel.
Great stay at the Tiara Chateau Mont Royal
The hotel rooms were incredible along with all facilities. The food in both the terrace and formal restaurant was awesome. Great choice of wine in both locations. The team at the hotel are very attentive, however providing you enough space not to feel rushed about. The train to paris was very easy, however the taxi ride booked by the hotel was not cheap (20 euros for a 5 minute drive). Highly recommend and we plan to stay again.
Beautiful and quite location not to far from CDG airport. We arrived in the morning and stayed one night as we were flying out the next day to go to Nice, France. There is a sauna and indoor pool. Food was good. They have a nice walking trail. Grounds are beautiful.
Very nice getaway from the city with beautiful views
Horrible experience. This hotel should never have been rated as 5 stars and touted by Expedia. Reasons: The air conditioning was permanently fixed at a low of 22 degrees centigrade despite a call to the front desk.who said she could do nothing about it. I had to sleep on top of the covers and still sweated.. We wanted to go into a close village, Chantilly(10 miles away), and was told there was no hotel shuttle despite references to a shuttle by the hotel literature. The receptionist said the only way to get to Chantilly was for the hotel to call and independent Mercedes car and driver who would take us there for 50 euros. We ask about a taxi and she said she could not order us a taxi because the hotel had an exclusive contract with the car and driver service. I asked if there was any other way to get to Chantilly and she said try Uber. Uber does not operate in the area of France and she knew it. We rode to town in the Mercedes and paid the 50 euros. Coming back from Chantilly, we used a taxi which only cost 30 euros. In preparation for checkout and transportation to the airport via hotel shuttle, we were told again there was no shuttle. We would have to take the Mercedes vehicle for 90 euros. We made arrangements for Mercedes pickup for the next morning and the Mercedes and driver were 25 minutes late. Expedia missed the ball on this hotel.
The location of not convenient to Paris
Wonderful Experience!
This is a gorgeous hotel & property. My room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The hotel staff is friendly and obliging. There are 2 restaurants to choose from; dining available outside, as well. The food was very good, but I felt it was a little over priced. The location is peaceful, serene. With a swimming pool, sauna, walking path, pool table, tennis courts, etc., it is impossible to be bored.
Beautiful hotel and location but be prepared for expensive menu. The only disappointment was ordering a £22 salad and and half way through eating it a snail crawled out of it and sat on edge of plate. The staff were horrified and the manager came out and said everything arrived in sealed bags so the snail could not have got buried in the salad in the kitchen and must have got in from our table. They offered a replacement salad but still charged us for it!
Beautiful Castle with Charm
Amazing place: Beautiful, service, food, etc be ready to be spoiled!
Definitely 5 Star
The hotel was lovely. We had dinner in the bar, which was very elegant. Very handy for CDG. We will definitely return.
Amazing Site and Facility, Disappointing Experienc
This is an absolutely magical building and site, and location is perfect place to stay if you are departing from CDG in the morning. This was our second stay at this hotel, and I was traveling with family. We loved our rooms, the staff could not have been more gracious. However, we had dinner in the restaurant and my brother got food poisoning and could not depart the next day as planned. It was a very stressful situation, and I met with the Manager of Quality before departing and was told that the hotel would take care of my brother's extra night stay due to the restaurant food that caused his delayed departure. When my brother went to check out, they did not waive those charges. Although the facade of the exceptional service was convincing, in the end they did not perform as a 5 star experience and abide by their commitments to do so.
5 star price 2star place
The "Junior SUITE" was a small plain room with an extra area to watch television. The welcome gift for an American express platinum card ... three quarter size cookies. We ordered breakfast room service for TWO persons....one cold omelet received. Coffee and tea packets were never replenished. Birthday dinner a disaster. Entrecote so tough the knife could not cut it and when you chewed it one had to take the wad out rather than swallow. John dory fish smelled when served. Foie gras ... Sent back immediately 44 euros for less than a 1/2 teaspoon for caviar Service ... Had there been another place to go we would have left. It was 9:00 pm and we could not get to another restaurant before they were closed.
Traditional restaurant was rather ordinary with poor service. otherwise, ok.
Beautiful,Romantic,Amazing!!
This is a beautiful secluded chateau, with spa, bar, and restaurant at your finger tips. We will definitely visit again!
Be very cautious hotel charges amenities not even used!!!
Great hotel near Chales DeGaul airport.
Beautiful hotel in a tranquil setting near the airport. This hotel would cost 3 times more than the price if it were in Paris. High ceilings, beautiful art in a chateau. Great gym and spa. Good restaurant and staff. This hotel is a jewel.
Elegant atmosphere without pretentiousness
Staff was helpful in all ways. We enjoyed all of the facilities including the indoor pool & sauna. The surroundings were beautiful. Our dinner in the elegant library was well prepared. We arrived after a bicycle trip so we did not have fancy clothes. This was not a concern to the staff. They just wanted us to be comfortable.
Great hotel with nice gastronomic dinner. The bed is too hard.
Outstanding service
We forgot a personal item when we left the hotel to stay in Paris. We emailed them and they replied swiftly the next day to say they would send the item the following day before our departure.
Weekend break
Lovely hotel would stay again
A country retreat outside Paris CDG
Lovely hotel in a converted Chateau. A great place to relax. Taxis sometimes have difficulty finding the hotel, particularly at night and taxis can take some time to arrive if you need one. The service in the bar/restaurant was slow. A great property to get away from it all.
Beautiful hotel
This hotel is wonderful. Great service, beautiful rooms and fabulous restaurants. The surrounding forest is a nice change. The rooms are one of the best I have ever stayed in. Very elegant, large, with all mod cons. The staff were attentive and professional. Whilst the drinks and restaurants were expensive, this is a nice indulgence and worth the extra costs. The added bonus is the seclusion. Only the noise of the birds to wake you up.
Far Away Overpriced Unconfortable Hotel
The ride to the hotel was quite interesting. But from there, it got very disappointing. As per the picture, it is in the middle of nowhere! The comfort of the Room was VERY disappointing! We were able to feel the springs in the Mattress, the overall of the bed left us aching as we were waking up. True, the room was clean, but for a 5 star hotel, the staff was not forward in caring to our needs. We stayed in another 5 star hotel in Paris and the services could not even be compared. If you want to relax, enjoy the things to do in France, this is not the place to go.
Nice Hotel
Nice Hotel , Cold AC , comfortable Rooms, good service, but no View only A forest and there is no activity in Hotel only the swimming Pool and no walk way around the hotel only u can get out from a front door and get in by the back door , rooms needs renovation to get in luxury
A romantic French chateau just north of Paris
My wife and I stayed at the Chateau Mont Royal for an evening on our way home from a business trip. We were very pleased with our entire experience. The taxi ride was cheaper than a ride to the Eiffel Tower and the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly kind and accommodating. Our room was better than expected and the chateau itself is very beautiful. I only wish that we could have stayed longer, but we had to catch a flight at 10AM.
Beautiful Hotel in a quiet location
Beautiful Hotel. In a nice secluded and quiet location. Staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed in the Royal room on the 2nd floor which had a massive balcony and a beautiful view. Slippers and dressing gowns are waiting in the bathroom. Rooms are quiet and you can't hear anything. You need a car to get around. Will definitely go back.
Wonderful customer service for an unexpected stay
My family (husband, myself, 13 year old son) recently had an unexpected stay here. We traveled to Paris for the day from London on the Eurostar. When we arrived at the rail station that evening to return to London, we discovered that all service had been cancelled and they couldn't rebook us for 3 days. We had to get back to London, so we made plane reservations for the next morning. We weren't the only ones to do this, and all the hotels near the airport were booked. The closest available was this hotel. We booked, and arrived around 11pm. The front desk staff were exceedingly courteous and sympathetic about our plight. As this was a day trip, we had no belongings at all. They gave us all toiletries. Expedia had told us that the room we booked (the Royal King) could sleep 2 adults and a child, but this seemed to take the staff off-guard. They had to spend a few minutes finding a cot to bring into the room, all the while apologizing profusely. Our flight out the next morning was at 6:20, so they arranged for a taxi at 4am and gave us a wake up call at 3am. When we arrived down at the lobby, they gave us each a glass of orange juice. All in all, we were at the hotel for 4.5 hrs, and never saw it in the light. I wish we had. The photos are amazing. Later, I wrote to the hotel telling them about our experience and how wonderful the staff had been, and they gave us a partial refund due to the circumstances. Truly wonderful service.
An excellent hotel with very friendly staff. A pleasure to stay there.
Quiet but not good enough
My worst part is the kettle is always dirty despite 2 changes whih after that i give up
Lovely Hotel just outside Charles Degaul
This was a wonderful last stop to our extended trip to France.
Great Room
The room was big and super nice.it was quiet and relaxing for us, especially after a 9 country backpacking trip. Pricey but well worth the splurge. The food was a little subpar.
Beautiful hotel
The hotel was gorgeous - great service, stunning location, lovely rooms. The beds were a bit hard - but the hotel staff offered an extra duvet as a mattress topper. Would absolutely go back! Perfect for a romantic getaway.
Nice place but many rooms overlook their exhaust fan which makes a lot of noise and disturbs the tranquility. Also, no drinking water in the room Or tea coffee facilities. For a hotel like this it should be a basic facility in the room.
Beautiful Property
Stayed here prior to leaving France for a long return flight to the U.S. It is a 15-20 minute drive to CDG so it is very convenient. A beautiful property with very attentive service to wind down the evening before our flight. Our room was large and very nicely furnished. The indoor pool was very nice to enjoy after dinner. I would definitely like to stay here again just for a longer stay.
Great Hotel to start Recovering from Jet Lag
I come from the West Coast so had nine hours of time difference. I wanted a place that I knew I could rely on to be no hassles and quiet. It is really less than a half hour drive from Charles de Gaulle; I just pulled up, parked and went in. No line-ups in the lobby - just me. You're out in the countryside so there's no restaurants close by and, just a guess, but I don't think they do room service. I didn't go for dinner primarily because I was tired and went to bed, but also because I didn't bring clothes that I would feel comfortable wearing to their very nice dining room; next time (and there will be a next time) I will. They can tell you how to get to the nearest train station (Orry la Ville) which is ten minutes away and, from there, on the TER, it is a twenty minute ride into Gare du Nord. Check the timetable for trains, as the express TER runs only about once an hour outside rush hour.
Superb
The best room I have ever stayed in. This was our third visit to the chateau, our second stay in the royal suite, did not fail to overwhelm. Every thing about this hotel is exceptional. I never want to leave and can never wait to return.
beautiful but expensive w/o own car
We thought this would be a convenient place to stay on our last day in France given its proximity to the airport. However, it's quite expensive by taxi and left us feeling trapped by high prices. We negotiated an 80 euro taxi fare from downtown paris, but the taxi service the hotel provides was 65 euros just to CDG. The food and drink was very expensive (16 euros for a cocktail, 30 some euros for breakfast), and without a car we had no options for going out. On the plus side it's a gorgeous chateau, there's a beautiful walking trail around the property, service is wonderful, room was great.
Great Location near Airport without the noise
Great Location and Facilities, unfortunately we were uninformed of a movie being shot during our visit limiting our experience with the great looking facilities. This was with respect to the Dining Room.
Lovely Stay
After Traveling in Euope for 6 weeks, we wanted our last night in Paris to be in relaxing and luxurious. Tiara Chateau did not dissapoint. Loved the facility, it was so beautiful! The robes and pool was also a big hit! My only dissapointment was that the restaurant was closed during our stay. However, we ate a wonderful meal in the bar; with a grand dessert!
Lovely place
Great place to stay if you are in that area. Shame my visit was only one night so I did not get to use all facilities, but everything I used was really good
Perfect for our last night in France
Instead of staying at an airport hotel, I found the Chateau Mont Royal which is only 30 minutes or so from CDG airport. It is beautiful, it's rooms so lovely. We were in the old section and had a terrace all the way around a corner room. We chose not to eat in the hotel, as we didn't want much, so we drove towards Chantilly for supper. Unexpectedly, Chateau Chantilly appeared, we were delighted as it's a fairy tale castle about 10 minutes from the hotel. Gorgeous with a moat and lovely gardens. We loved our last night. Perfect!
Great Hotel; Bad Location if city is goal
When I arrived at the Tiara Chateau Mont Royal, after a long taxi ride from Charles De Gaulle airport, I was blown away by the absolutely beautiful exterior and size of this historic hotel. I got there late but the staff was very happy & helpful to get my and my girlfriend situated in our room and this didnt change for the duration of our stay. Once upstairs, after taking the small but quaint lift, I found our room great. It was nicely decorated and with a oval bedroom and canopy bed we felt like royalty. The only negitive, and it a big one, is the location. Tiara is tucked away far from almost everything. No metro within miles. You have to take a 20£ stuttle to the nearest train station. This can prove a problem if you plan to stay out late in Paris. If you are looking for getaway with your better half to stay in and lounge around then this place is perfect. Great pool with gym and racketball helps. The restaurant is expensive also. I love everything about Tiara Chateau Mont Royal but it's location.
Tiara Hotel- Chateau Mont Royal
A Must !!! Definately worth visiting. A superb Hotel and with amazing attention to Detail Very Friendly and Helpful staff and a wonderful chateau and surroundings, The room was clean tidy and of very high standards with an amazing view of the grounds and nearby forest
Hotel Mount Royal Chantilly
Excellent stay at the Hotel for 2 nights. The rooms were impressive and very good value. The food in the bar and the restaurant was extremely good. The only disappointment was the cost of a beer! Would definately consider coming back.
Absolutely wonderful hotel
This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed. However do not rely upon public transport to reach it - only by car or by taxi since it is situated in the countryside surrounded by forest. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay again when in that area.
Clinical and quiet
Lovely refurbished chateau with faux additional wing, in the middle of the forest, truly excellent clean clinical condition with generous bedrooms and bed. Bar meal only offered due to lack of residents, restaurant shut. Nice food Very expensive! Not good value but good food. Friendly bar staff who gave us good advice about a cocktail bar cally Harrys bar in Paris - if you read this thanks we had a great night!!! If you are looking for French historic setting in classic oldy worldy surrounding this place is not for you. But extremely comfortable, clinical, chic and quiet, ideal for our business visit.
Tiara Chateau Hotel Mont Royal
This elegant hotel with very comfortable, spacious rooms and staff who are friendly and helpful is situated in a forest. The location is convenient to the Chateau de Chantilly (10 minutes away) and CDG airport (30 minutes). The hotel restaurant provides an elegant setting with unexceptional--but expensive--food. The breakfast is pleasant but also expensive. In mid October we found the restaurant menu extremely limited on weekdays due to sparce patronage. All in all, a posh getaway that would be ideal for a honeymoon.
private and relaxing
This hotel is quite beautiful in itself and its surroundings as it is set in the woods. It is very private and allows for a relaxing stay. The rooms, including the bathrooms, are modern, spacious and nicely decorated. The downside of the hotel is its location. It is located ~ 20 min from CDG airport at a cost of ~35 euros by cab, 60 euros if you use the hotels shuttle. There is a train station nearby, 20 euro cab ride away, that will take you into the heart of paris. If you are looking to spend most of your time in paris, this may not be the hotel for you, however if you want a relaxing stay at a great hotel, this is a great choice.
Beautiful hotel
The hotel was beautiful, in a very picturesque setting with lovely walks that you could go on around the grounds. The room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and had those wonderful "lighter than clouds" pillows that you get in a Tiara hotel. Brilliant amenities - we used the pool and gym regularly. There are also squash and tennis courts if that floats your boat. Staff were pleasant and courteous although we had a few difficulties when our safe had been left locked from the previous guests. They resolved the problem as quickly as they could. A good base to tour from. You definitely need a car - or a helicopter if you can afford one, they have their very own helipad!!!
Chateau Mont Royal
Rooms and reception areas excellent - very comfortable and stylish. Service in the bar and restaurant was of a very low standard - no-one seemed to care. The buffet breakfast was OK but the bar food on Sunday evening (the main restaurant was closed) was absolutely atrocious.
Elegant and very convenient to airport
Hotel was beautiful, although a bit hard to get into and out of, being gated Service was excellent. Room was elegant and very comfortable. Only disappointment was being seated in the bar to eat dinner despite a reservation 2 months in advance (a large meeting was taking place and the dining room was reserved for it). The bar was exceedingly noisy until the meeting party entered the dining room, making for a not too comfortable dinner mood. Food was excellent and presentation was nice. A little bit on the expensive side compared to the rest of France. The driveway needs a little maintenance.
Hotel Mont Royal - ideal for Chantilly races!
The reception staff were very good on arrival and our bedroom was fine although a pity only a small porthole to view th forest. The hotel is very pleasant and ideally located for Chantilly. All the staff were friendly and certainly a quality hotel.
Impressive Hotel with Expensive Dining
1. Do not rely on the Sat. Nav to find this hotel. Follow the map directions provided on the Web Site. The hotel is set in a remote forest area. Only 20 minutes from Cahares de Gaulle airport. Very quiet and peaceful ! 2. Rooms are beautifully presented. 3. Free non-Alcholic mini-bar ! 4. DVD player in room. DVD's available on request FOC from reception. 5. Very good leisure facilities, with warm indoor pool, small gym, squash court and Tennis court.. 6. The bar meals ae the same price as the restaurant....VERY expensive. A fillet steak is 45 Euro. I spent 100 Euro on a meal for 1 !...Nouvelle cuisine "a la Gordon Ramsey" style !....but superb quality. 7. Breakfast included in the room price. 8. Perfect for a romantic couple of days away. Not recommeded for young kiddies !
Great Hotel for CDG Flights
A lovely hotel; very convenient to CDG; great place to stay for the last night in France before a departure flight to the US
Top
Un grand merci à tout le personnel qui est d’une incroyable gentillesse. Et comme le montrent les photos, le décor est superbe.
It is a beautiful place with an excelente hotel services
Great
Beautiful and really like a chateau
Juste un détail : un hammam serait apprécié en plus ou à la place du sauna… Mais c’est un avis personnel…
Superbe séjour avec un très beau cadre de vie proche du château de chantilly personnel très accueillant et aimable
