This property is beyond beautiful. Charming is the perfect name for the hotel. Everything was great - from the rooms and views, to the location and impeccable landscaping. But the best part was the staff, especially Alejandra at the front desk. She was lovely to chat with and was extremely helpful. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel.

Everything was perfect

Fantastic friendly staff. Found the rooms to be dated. Dinner was very good. Breakfast so so. We had an issue with the underfloor heating bento hot and had to sleep most the night with the ac on to cool us down.

The location of this hotel is amazing and views are incredible. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I think the in room spa is not as useful as a large up to date spa facility. The breakfast was very good. The disappointment was that their pool /hot tub area was not on par for a luxury resort. Plastic lounge chairs. Old hot tub that wasn’t hot enough. They could make a huge upgrade by fixing that.

Fantastic hotel!

This hotel is amazing. The staff is incredible, the rooms are so cozy and perfectly situated for amazing lake views. The breakfast is great, the service is great, the location is convenient. I highly recommend!

Amazing, will definitely come back many tiems!

Amazing, everything was better than I expected. The staff and services were superb. I will come back 100 times! The room was very spacious, with a private jacuzzi tub and a private sauna! Everything was clean. The mini fridge, electric kettle and microwave gave us a lot of freedom. On the days that we weren't hiking, we spent the day in the heated pool or going to the beach using the hotel's private entrance to the lake. Amazing in every way!

The Charming Lodge is exactly that - charming! The location is wonderful. Close to town and easy access to other points of interest, as well. It is right on the lake and the views are breathtaking. The staff is absolutely wonderful - sweet, kind, and eager to please. The accommodations are wonderful. The food is AMAZING!

Totally clean and wonderful property with spectacular views from the room and jacuzzi bathtub! The only imperfection was the occasionally slow service in the dining room where communication was sometimes a bit difficult.

It was good

A truly charming property. The staff at the reception and in the dining room was very helpful and nice, especially Alejandra. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of a variety of high quality items, including smoked trout. we had dinner there once as well and it was very good. An added bonus was watching the crested caracara at breakfast. We stayed in the master suite with our own steam room, jacuzzi, and dry sauna. After a long hike we really enjoyed the sauna. The view from our room and also from the dining room was unbeatable. The only negative may be the many stairs to get to some rooms for people who have difficulty walking. We definitely would go back to this lodge and recommend it highly. We are experienced travelers.

I made a reservation to this hotel but could not go on those dates. Since I did not even receive a confirmation email from either the hotel or Expedia, I wrongly assumed the reservation was not confirmed. Imagine my surprise when I get my Visa statement and I am charged the full amount of the stay, over $1400! When I called Expedia the refused to help me stating that "they could not go against hotel policy". I emailed the hotel but received no answer whatsoever. I feel really ripped off. I will never use Expedia again and as far as this hotel: BUYER BEWARE! They are thieves!

Incredible and well-named lodge on the lake

Incredible lodge. The rooms are magnificent, as are the grounds and the views. Wonderful access to the semi-private Playa Bonita. High-quality Euro-Argentine fusion food at the five star restaurant (The Stag) and wonderful Patagonian wines. (Try the Wapisa Malbec, which is affordable and delicious). And the staff tops it off with perfect service. Thank you!

The hotel is beautifully located by the lake with a “almost” private beach. The room we stayed in had an amazing view of the lake and mountains. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! Overall I highly recommend!

Luxury cabin with beautiful views

Beautiful property and luxury cabin with a sauna, spa and Steam shower. Lovely view of the lake and mountains. Great restaurant perched on the cliff overlooking the lake with good food and service especially from our waiter Mike. Excellent breakfast also. The property has won many awards and they are truly justified. Located about 8kms from Bariloche towards the national park. Bariloche itself is nothing special but as you head further out the properties and views get better. Definitely advise staying out of Bariloche. The property is well named and describes exactly what you get. Loved every minute of our 4 nights stay.

It is a charming hotel, is located in perfect place to see the view. The rooms are big with a great facilities, the staff are very nice the food is great.

We had a great stay! Martin checked us in and he was available our entire stay to help us with anything we needed. The breakfast is delicious!

Stunning views

What an absolutelu beautiful hotel!!!!! The views from the restaurant are absolutely breathtaking. I found the staff very hospitable and friendly. The breakfast was lovely - both buffet and hot breakfast avaliable. The room was a good size with a jacuzzi bath in the room. This is definitely a serene location, out of town, and over looking the lake. I stayed for a couple of nights as a birthday gift (otherwise staying at Hostel Achalay in town) and it was a real treat of luxury. I imagine if you stayed here for more than a few nights it might get a bit quiet as it's quite far out of town - but it is what it says on the tin... A lodge! I would absolutely stay here again if I wanted a bit of relaxation. One of the local chocolate shops drops you chocolate samples every night, and the in room massage services were brilliant. All in all a top notch stay!

This hotel offers amazing mountain and lake views. The staff is awesome. We extended our stay by one week. Try the Patagonian trout.

Wonderful hotel! Roberto greeted us by name everyday of our stay! (What a great memory.) The absolute only thing I can say would be an improvement is the decor. Would I stay here again YES!

Loved My Stay!

Charming Luxury Lodge & Spa! Amazing! I booked the suite for a week and I absolutely loved every second of my stay. The personal sauna, the Scottish shower that doubled as a aroma therapy steam room, the jet spa tub, and (my personal favorite) the absolutely beautiful view right outside my bedroom window of the snow topped mountains and crystal clear lake. Not only was the room itself great but the entire experience of staying there at the resort. Such a “homely” feeling. The staff were so kind and so helpful, from recommending great trails to go hiking to suggesting ways to save money on transportation. Also there restaurant has delicious selections. If ever I was to come back to Bariloche I would not even attempt to find somewhere else to stay. Absolutely in love with the entire property and staff!

Magnificent!

I took my teenage daughter and preteen son for a summer ski trip to Bariloche and had an absolutely amazing experience at Charming! The hotel lives up to its name and then some! What an absolutely magical place. Beautiful rooms. Spectacular views. Incredible hospitality. The owner Alberto has done a fantastic job. The head concierge Roberto made our entire experience absolutely phenomenal. He took care of every detail of our stay and made it extra special for me and the kids. Sebastian was very friendly and helpful as well! Thank you for a marvelous vacation! For a truly five-star experience, look no further!

Gorgeous Lakeview Respite

We visited Bariloche in the off-season and the weather was mostly overcast and rain. The Charming Hotel and its staff provided the sun we needed. Our lakefront room had spectacular views, provided the amenities of a 5-star hotel (but much more charm than grandeur) and the staff was superb, very knowledgeable of the area and eager to make suggestions of activities to accommodate the rainy weather. We had made minimal plans in advance, and the staff easily assisted us with a rental car, maps, reservations for a soccer game later in the week in BA, etc. The restaurant on property, The Stag, was also 5-star in terms of the cuisine, where we ate elaborate breakfast daily and enjoyed two gourmet dinners. This was especially appreciated, as most the better restaurants were closed in the off-season. Our room had a spa tub, shower and dry sauna, along with a million dollar view. Just lovely!

Simply the best!

From the minute we arrived until the minute we left we were dazzled by this hotel and its surroundings. The staff is great, the food is great, the rooms are big and all facing the wonderful lake. You feel like you are all by yourself in a cabin on the lake shore. We have been traveling allot around the world, and this hotel is by far the best we have ever been at!!!

Amazing Hotel and Experience

We were so impressed with every single aspect of the beautiful Charming Hotel in Bariloche. From the first moment that Roberto greeted us, to the awesome room upgrade, to the unimaginable views, we couldn't have picked a more perfect hotel for our stay in Bariloche. From every corner, the views were jaw dropping and the hotel was beautiful, extremely comfortable and beyond charming! We ate almost every meal at the hotel, which was so good and the staff was as friendly and welcoming as you could get! I am a hotel snob and the Charming far surpassed on every aspect and we fell in love with Bariloche and Charming and we will for sure be back. Thank you so much Roberto, Sebastian and the rest of the staff for such an incredible experience! Wish I could give it 10 stars!

Can't say enough good things about staff and how they want you to have a great stay. Views from the hotel are spectacular. It's a good thing that the hotel is on the main road, but a little outside of the town - the town is a zoo.

Perfect Getaway for Honeymoon!

My (newly) husband and I had the best time here! The rooms were super luxurious - loved the steamroom, heated floors, comfy beds, mini fridge, etc. And the view of the lake!! Wow. We could not get over it. The staff was super friendly and helpful - calling cabs for us because our Spanish is not that great. They gave you a free glass of wine when you walk in and they take your bags to your room - such nice touches! Highly recommend having dinner there - we did our first night and it was beautiful. Great food too. Also, the breakfast buffet was delicious! We would spend an hour just eating breakfast and enjoying the view. The lookout over the lake is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and relax. There is also easy access to Playa Bonita. Loved this place!!

I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels all over the world, and I've never been as impressed as I was with Charming. If you are spending some time in Bariloche, this is probably where you should stay. This is a luxurious, quiet boutique hotel about 7 km outside the city. Perched on a cliff overlooking lake Nahuel Huapi, there is no more beautiful location. The facilities are first class and the service is wonderful. The restaurant is excellent and breakfast is included.

Gorgeous hotel in the best part of Bariloche

this hotel is located in Playa Bonita, one of the nicest lake beaches in Bariloche, close to the civic center (~ 5 miles) and with an amazing view of the Nahuel Huapi lake. I went with my husband and two boys and we invited my mother and mother-in-law to join us. we stayed in this spacious and beautiful cabin with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living and dinning room and 2 porches. we had the best time. The staff was super knowledgeable and helpful.

Beautiful Region, Great Hotel, Excellent Vacation

The lodge is situated on a great piece of property with a stunning lake and mountain view. The restaurant is excellent (nice complimentary breakfast buffet and a quite good dinner menu as well) and other amenities make for a comfortable, pleasant stay. The hotel staff was just excellent. We traveled with small children and the hotel staff could not have been more accommodating or friendly. Overall, we were completely satisfied with Charming and will return.

Excellent Accommodation in Bariloche

An excellent hotel with chalet-style accommodation. Within easy reach of Bariloche town centre and the Llao Llao area by both bus and private transport. Very welcoming and friendly staff and large rooms / chalets. A very good breakfast is included and the on site restaurant serves good food and has excellent lake views. There are other restaurants and a small shop within walking distance. There is a heated outdoor pool and also access to the beach.

The most beatifull views of the Andes

Super- Spacious cabins, with sauna and jacuzzi, independent from hotel; the natural beauty of the area is astonishing!!! This is in reality a full apartment with a kitchen. Access to the pristine waters of the beach lake and very nice pool. Just know that you should rent a car (in advance) at the airport since the hotel is about 6 km from downtown beatiful Bariloche. But stay at this hotel, since there are barely any views of the Andes from town. There is only one main road and you dont even need a GPS. I truly recommend this hotel!!!

Our stay at Hotel Charming was wonderful. Great location. Spacious rooms. centrally located and near some great restaurants. There is a Kiosk to buy food right across the street and a laundry facility nearby as well.

Best Hotel in Bariloche

This was my second time in Bariloche. My first time I stayed at the world famous Llao Llao Hotel. I decided to try another option even though my experience at Llao Llao was very good. At the end I can say without a doubt that The Charming Luxury Lodge is the best option in Bariloche. The facilities are excellent, the staff is amazing, the location could not be better!

The Charming Hotel was exception from the view, staff, to the Stag Restraraunt. I would recommend this to anyone no matter where you have stayed in the past, it will exceed your expectations.

Truly a charming resort

My husband and I stayed in Bariloche for my birthday and had an absolutely spectacular time. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. When they found out it was my birthday, they went above and beyond to make me feel special. The rooms are STUNNING and the location of this hotel is perfect. It is away from the craziness of downtown but closer to the serenity of the lake - you are actually right on the lake and can walk down to the "beach" directly from the hotel. Highly recommend that you book a stay here - you will not regret it.

Average visit

We stayed at Charming for one night and had mixed views. Having read various reviews we were expecting a great, almost luxury, experience and it was nothing like we expected... The room seemed a bit bare (not cosy), although a great bathroom with sauna/steamroom (and underfloor heating). We requested a massage whilst there and learned that the "spa" is nothing more than a box room off the gym, you have a massage in your room instead... this would have been fine apart from I arranged a 1.5 hr massage and a 1 hr facial and my treatments were all finished within 1.5 hrs which was really disappointing. Not much apology from the hotel with a small discount in compensation. Overall, a bit disappointed.
