Last stop Nelson

We stayed at the Century Park Motor Lodge on the last two nights of a two-week tour of the South Island. It was the perfect luxury stop, to finish off our holiday. The Motor Lodge was very well located, walking distance to all the central restaurants and bars, as well as being a short drive to the airport. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a very friendly owner who could not have been more helpful with places to eat, places to visit and he gave us a tour of our room. The room was very comfortable and spacious and provided everything we needed. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Nelson.

We only stayed a night here but it was very comfortable. I loved that it was stylish and modern.

Pricing is good and facilities is clean

The team there make you feel at home. Norhing is to small or big for them.

A great quality motel close to the centre of Nelson, so nice and quiet but can easily walk to everything in 5-10 minutes. Very well finished rooms with comfortable and high quality furniture and linens. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended - next time we visit Nelson, I know where we'll look to stay!

Lovely, clean well-appointed property that looks recently renovated. Lots of thoughtful touches. It was a joy to arrive here after a very long drive.

Overall, a good place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Wished the laundry room was opened a little bit later.

Central and comfortable

We were in Nelson for a wedding, but stayed four nights for a short holiday. Motel is on the edge of the CBD and close to all amenities.

We always stay here when visiting Nelson. It’s consistently excellent, hosts are nice and helpful, it’s modern, comfy, clean, great having Netflix (well done guys), we walk into the city for dinner, great value for money, quiet, we love it.

Probably one of the best "motel" in NZ

I have travelled through all the country staying, very often, in motels, but this place is more like a hotel. The place is fully renovated or totally new, appliances are numerous and in perfect condition (even the fridge was so silent!), beds and carpet conditions could be those of a 4 (or even 5) stars hotels. I may have paid a little more but it was totally worthy. The hotel is also walking distance to bars, restaurants and the few things to visit in Nelson, and this is great and it was not always easy to find parking around the main streets. The staff was great too, very welcoming... In short, I cannot recommend more this place. Good value for money and very happy about the stay.

A truly amazing motel. This is how every motel should be - not only clean and tidy, but they have gone the extra step and have made sure that every convenience is available including a full range of channels as well as netflix. Handy location.

Loved the location, super clean, brilliant TV service with Netflix and super host who made us feel very welcome.

We had a studio apartment as we weren’t here long so it’s small but comfy. Lovely bed, clean, very quiet, we always stay here when in Nelson as we are never disappointed.

Great start to our trip.

The owners were really helpful, couldn’t do enough for us and gave us great advice on where to eat and what to see during our short stay in Nelson. The room exceeded expectations, everything was first class. The spa bath was a welcome treat as well! Great location, less than 10 minutes from all the bars and restaurants.

Very good location for walking into town. Spacious rooms with modern ans clean finishes. Mattress was a bit soft and bouncy. Side table needed by bed side. Hosts were very pleasant and helpful.

I would recommend this place because of its location, comfort, but most of all, because of its service!

Century Park was ideally located in the small town of Nelson. The managers went above and beyond with their service. They let us stay in the same room (the better one) even though we booked two different rooms for 2 nights at different times. We got in late our last night and had to do laundry. We put our load of wash in and the manager put it in the dryer AND brought it to our room. Now that's service!

Very clean room and bathroom, very quick WiFi, easy parking. Small porch with a couple of chairs by the back door to catch the afternoon sun. Comfortable bed.Owner showed us some of the other rooms and they all looked great. About 10 mins walk to town.

Great Hotel

This hotel was a great place to stay. On a busy road however very quiet. Each room has a private outdoor sitting area. The facilities were very clean. Everything you needed in the room. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful place to stay and easy walk to city

We liked everything,from the moment we arrived. Lovely decor, and there was every item or detail needed for our stay.

Lovely room, gloriously comfortable bed, immaculately clean. Lovely kitchen units. But let down by the cheap and poor quality bathroom products provided, one-ply toilet paper. And the cheap spongy pillows. The duvet did not even have a cover on it, just the flat sheet under it, and counterpane on top, these always "moves around" so not pleasant knowing others have used the same uncovered duvet too. For the price of this motels rooms, we would have expected the above to match the advertised "luxury quality" as advertised.

Pleasant front desk attendant. Unfortunately this was found out by repeated visits to get items that weren't replaced by the cleaning staff two times in five nights. Paying over $200 per night should not require a trip downstairs to get more toilet paper. There was a very well stocked kitchen.

Nice place, but room for improvement

Well-located property that was clean and had good service. However, the shower was not separated from the rest of the bathroom only separated by a shower curtain), the laundry facilities do not work well (dryer left our clothes wet after 2+ hour is in the dryer), and the soap and shampoo weren’t replaced daily. So, overall a decent experience but there is room for improvement here

Stylish Motel

The decor, fixtures, and other amenities have been thoughtfully chosen and are top rate. The property is either new or newly remodelled. The proximity to town Center is walkable. About 3 blocks. Parking is easily accessible. Overall a very good choice for a visit to Nelson and the Able Tasman park.

Stay Away

This was not a friendly or accommodating place. When we had difficulties the owner was unhelpful and rude.

Close to City Center

No issues at check in or check out. Room ok, but a little small. Practical kitchen. Bathroom ok, practical. Very close to city center, but not to close to get any noise. Bed very comfortable. Nice small balcony. Might be just a little expensive for the size of the room.

We stayed 3 nights in this Motel, it's very convenient location, 10 minute walk to CBD; easy parking. The room is very clean and well equipped kitchen comes very handy especially we are not a big fan of restaurants. We liked that the environment makes us feel easy and close to fresh air.

one night in Nelson

Kids driving up from Dunedin, wanted to book them somewhere nice to rest. Finding a room that slept 3 wasn't easy but this hotel was great, easy to find, free parking and clean and comfortable. They really enjoyed their stay, and made it to the ferry in Picton next morning easily, thank you.
