Amazing and friendly hotel staff, hope to go back!

Lovely stay at Celsus! Our family really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and caring. Breakfast was delicious and more than enough to start your day. They can also help you arrange an airport transfer and tours around the area. The room was also one of the best rooms we had during our time in Türkiye. Hope to go back one day!

Situated in the town of Selcuk, this boutique hotel has a unique charm and beauty. The room carries an old scent, reflecting the age of the hotel, which adds to its character. The morning staff are wonderful—attentive and eager to meet our every need.

We were extremely happy with our stay, the minute we got There a young man parked our car and carried our luggage to our room. He was so kind and accommodating. Highly recommend this cute boutique.

Hotel was in a good, convenient location, close to shops, restaurants and bus and train stations. Good breakfast options. Staff was very responsive to questions and requests for suggestions. There was some repeated noise issues with barking dogs. Also, the hotel is close to a mosque so you can hear the amplifed call to prayers. But fortunately, neither noise issue interrupted my sleep.

The only issue with this hotel is that there is no elevator; so if any mobility issues then may be a problem. It is on a very hilly slope and even to get to the reception area from the street involves several steps. But I w believe no buildings in Selcuk are allowed elevators due to archeological reasons . Otherwise excellent location, staff very helpful.

Charming room and hotel but pretty bright during the night. Bed was hard as usual. Great location, breakfast, AC and shower.

Wonderful stay

I stayed in a room overlooking the pool with my two teen boys. We all appreciated having our own beds. Breakfast each morning was fresh and had great variety. The pool was an afternoon treat to cool off during the hottest part of the day. We loved our stay.

Beautiful area with flowers growing everywhere! The room was gorgeous and looked directly put over the pool. The room was impeccable and had a nicely stocked minibar. Staff were welcoming and very hospitable! Breakfast was included and was super tasty with a variety of choices. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

A beautiful boutique hotel with an amazing staff. They all went out of their way to provide support and assistance which we truly appreciated. And the rooms and facilities are lovely. We also liked the location as it was easy to get to key places. It was a wonderful stay and we would absolutely return and highly recommend the Celsus!

We enjoyed this boutique hotel. The staff was wonderful. We ended up staying an additional night. It is one hour walk to Ephesus. It easy to get there from the hotel. The museum is about a 5 minutes walk. We recommend this hotel.

The breakfast could use some help. It was lacking in the basic necessities for US travelers i.e. no fruit and need better bread options such waffles.

Ice location

Super helpful and lovely stay

The hotel was located on a quiet little street just a few minutes walk to the town center. The room and the buildings, the pool, and little courtyards were very nicely detailed and very well maintained. The breakfasts were superb with lots of local produce and fresh pomegranate juice. We loved the friendly and very helpful staff: they arranged transfers from and to the airport at Izmir, booked a tour of Ephesus, and provided us with lots of information about the local area including a very good restaurant.

Our host was lovely. She was so attentive a caring. She organized our tours to Ephesus and to Pamukkale she was on top of things. Her radiant presence was the best part of our stay at Celsus, plus we really appreciate the love for the cats that roam the hotel, she feeds the, she treats them if they are sick (we observed that) she stole our hearts.

Very much style over substance. The room and space looked wonderful, but the actual materials seemed cheap and unpleasant, the shower didn't work properly, and getting in/out of the room was a bit of a hassle with multiple doors each needing to be hand unlocked/locked.

Stayed one night following a day at Ephesus. The staff were very accommodating and the room was fabulous and spacious! Breakfast was delicious. We only wish we would have stayed longer.

Great place, very well located. Close to downtown Selcuk, Sirince, Ephesus, Mary’s house. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. Great beds and breakfast was very good. I strongly recommend staying here.

Best place in Selçuk

Amazing place to stay with a wonderful staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and spotless - and even better in person than in the photos. Delicious breakfast. The location is great and it’s very quiet at night. I would be happy to stay there again.

Value you get is outstanding. Room was spacious and amenities are excellent. We felt like royalty. Cannit say enough about how beautiful the place is. Driving through narrow streets to get to it was a bit challenging but if you are patient and drive slow, it is well worth it and you will not be disappointed.

A lovely charming hotel where the hotel staff was really nice. It is close to all the main attractions and within walking distance of good restaurants. The included breakfast was also very good. Definitely book this hotel as you will enjoy your stay. The rooms were really nice (we booked 2) and well stocked with all the amenities.

Well kept hotel. Very nice owner and staff. Very helpful. Our room overlooked the pool. Wonderful breakfast. Table and chairs in the room. Large enough to spread out our luggage. We were able to walk to town.

A Gem in a Great Location

This hotel is a gem. It's in a great location, just by the ruins and the historic sites. Sal and the staff are super friendly and extended a very warm welcome, and are very accommodating. It was a great experiance. from check in till check out all the staff were super friendly. mainly all lady staff including reception and house keeping. breakfast was good. reception lady was really helpful and was guiding us for all the tourist places. due to winder pool was closed. its a small pool anyways. except parking which was on the road side in slope all other part was great.

Excellent well decorated hotel with helpful staff

The Celsus Boutique Hotel is probably the nicest hotel stayed at in Turkey. The rooms are simply lovely. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful The Hotel is an easy walk from the train station. And 30 minutes walk from Ephesus.

Celsus Boutique was an incredible hotel for our trip to Selçuk! All staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel was cute, charming, and overall excellent. Breakfast was truly a gem and was the bow to complete this gift of a hotel!

Nice boutique hotel, favorable location near restaurants and grocery shops, good breakfast selection, parking is on the street as opposed to in a private lot, room and amenities could benefit from more upkeep and maintenance. Reaching reception involves a steep flight of stairs, which could be inconvenient for people with limited mobility or heavy bags.

Beautiful property with a very helpful staff.

Lovely, large room, but cleaning, tidying of room was only minimal and cursory at best. Over-rated breakfast - could have had some variations as seeing n eating the same stuff for 3 days. Just a change of one or two stuff on the plate in front of you can make a big difference every morning and Why play such ridiculous program on tv every morning during breakfast which is if no interest for anyone and not reflective of the hotel’s ambiance. Staff could be be more welcoming and smiling as they all look so stern. Relax, smile and learn to say things like “hello”, “thank you for staying” to guests rather than keeping quiet and glum - this will create a better overall image for your hotel.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all our questions regarding public transport system. Location is great as it was only a short walk from the station and close to all the restaurants. A big shout to the owner who so helpful and kind to make our stay more enjoyable.

It was a perfect stay!

Best stay ever

This was one of the best experiences of our lives! Our advise to anyone who needs a hotel in the area is to stay there.

It’s relatively newer property. The front desk and greeting staff are attentive, and breakfast is good. Location is excellent to walk to a few important historic sites. The exception was, we were asked if we wanted our room cleaned, we said yes. However, when we returned to our room at the end of the day, only the bath towels were nicely folded and our beds were made. Bathroom was not cleaned at all. The tips we left for the cleaners were not taken either. I don’t know if there’s a communication problem or just an oversight of the cleaning people.

The property is very clean and staff is very helpful. I feel like home. The room is larger than I expected. I like the decoration of the room and the entire property with antique feature. I enjoyed fresh authentic turkey breakfast as well . It is also in a very convenient location.

Excellent staff and service. Located near selcuk downtown and fort. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Since it is located in the middle of residential neighborhoods, views aren’t that great but, on the other hand, if you like to walk down to shops/restaurants then you will like it.

The family-owned nature of this hotel was apparent in the staff’s welcome and accommodation. The room is the most spacious we’ve had in Europe and we’d even like to redesign our home shower based on the one at this hotel. The breakfast was very filling and time beside the pool was a nice way to relax. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem!

Super cute hotel with lovely decor, a great pool (perfect for cooking off after a long flight or trip to Ephesus), great service and awesome breakfast. Can't rate it highly enough!!

If you have a chance to stay at this beautiful hotel please do it!! Location was great, walking distance to st.John basilica and downtown, minutes from Ephesus ruins. Rooms were very comfortable, bathroom and shower were great. The owner and family that run it are great people, very accommodating, friendly, helpful. We had the best time here and are hoping we can return one day! Absolutely zero complaints.

The rooms are beautiful, spacious and comfortable, everything is very clean. The hotel is nicely decorated and walking distance to Saint John church, restaurants and shops. Short trip with remote work.

Nicely designed hotel. Small workspace for laptop. Could hear some noise on the street. It's quiet place but you'll hear sounds from all rare cars. Of course enjoyed Ephesus & Temple. It's really nice city.

Manager was friendly and very helpful with advice for where to go etc; Great location near St John Basilica and town market; Room was spacious, well decorated and clean with good amenities inc coffee, minibar fridge & toiletries; parking on the street nearby available; nice big breakfast.

Es un hotel nuevo, el staff es muy amable, las habitaciones son muy limpias y bastante amplias, el desayuno es muy bueno, no usamos la alberca pues no tuvimos tiempo; como salíamos temprano al día siguiente, nos prepararon unos sandwiches para el camino, muy buen detalle. Volvería con gusto.

Loved this property. Clean and well-light rooms, great AC, friendly front staff in a good location. Breakfast was one of the best we had. One con was that we were charged for bottles of water when we saw that they gave it (for free?) to other residents that spoke Turkish.
