Cleaness

Great stay. Central to gothic quarter. Clean room and friendly staff. They upgraded us because of our 5 day long stay. The only thing is it can smell like cigarette smoke from rooms whose occupants do smoke. As a non smoker I wasn’t a fan of that but it wasn’t constant l.

The entrance is very beautiful and we loved our room .

Check in was excellent. Room comfortable. Mini bar could have been a little colder and a little difficult to get enough ice to chill wine but otherwise great location and comfortable room. Most of the staff at the front desk was very helpful. Bathroom beautiful.

A Total Disappointment – This Hotel Should Not Be VIP Access I was extremely disappointed with my stay. This hotel does not meet the standards of a VIP Access property. Here’s why: 1. Lack of Transparency: The hotel failed to disclose prior to booking that it is undergoing renovations. Being woken up by construction noise at 7:30 AM is far from a VIP experience. 2. Cleanliness Issues: My room, particularly the bathroom, was not properly cleaned. Despite requesting a thorough cleaning twice,

We booked late due to travel changes but were not disappointed. Beautifully converted and spotless.Right in the hub of vibrant old town Barcelona.Breakfast was exceptional. All in all a wonderful 2 night stay. Highly recommended.

Great staff, location and very clean

Did not appreciate being told at bar that they normally dont give out ice because they have to buy it. Even though the hotel gave us a free bottle of sparkling wine. Other than that- an amazing breakfast and great location and room.

Excellent location

Stayed for 1 night before my cruise. Was upgraded to a balcony that over looked the street with music. Perfect location for walking. Chondy was excellent, as well as the staff at the front. You do have to walk about 2 min to the hotel as it is not accessible by car (not a deal for me at all but could be for those with mobility concerns).

Parking nightmare

The only complain is that the parking is a public parking and far away from the hotel and we had to carry our own luggage thru the streets . Also at the time of reservation was no instructions how and where to park the car . Would had be easier if they did…Due to a construction was very hard to find the hotel we had to pay and follow a cab driver . Was No service available to carry the luggage to the hotel from the parking. Other than that …Amazing breakfast and excellent staff and confi room.

Great older property with nice updated public areas and rooms, though small for Americans use to rooms at home. Located in Gothic Quarter where the only way to get around is walking.

Great location. This is the perfect Hotel to explore Barcelona. Las Ramblas and the Gothic neighborhood are a few steps from the property. Plenty of stores, restaurants and bars all withing walking distance.

This hotel is in a great location in the Gothic Quarter near the Cathedral. There are tons of great shops and restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We have found our Barcelona Hotel!!

Well located in old downtown

I love the room and the location of the hotel but the bathroom door there is No locker. If you travel with friends it is weird that you can not close the door. No locker at all. The door open in and out and no way to close.

really great hotel building but our room was behind the elevators so it kept us awake at night and couldnt sleep.

Hôtel location is very central, easy and safe area with be many shops and restaurants. Loved the older decor, with a most comfortable bed in a very clean room, could not hear any street noise. Hotel parking is very convenient, just 1/2 a block away. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. We hope to go back someday soon.

The room we had was renovated recently. It not only looked nice, but was very comfortable as well. We were able to walk to most of the areas we wanted to see.

Beautiful property in the heart of Las Ramblas ! Great services& staff!

Great location and upgraded to the two-floor PH suite. This hotel is located in the middle of Barri Gotic and was walkable to many of the best Barcelona activities. It was hard to believe how quiet our room was when we were on such a lively pedestrian walkway.

Great place and location

We assumed a hotel with a restaurant and room service would have ice available. We were told to ask at the bar, where they were able to give us a cup at a time. “Small ice machine”. The bar was very small and stocked no better than a private home. Room was only somewhat clean. Towels were badly worn. Location was excellent.

We lived that it was located in the Gothic district and the cathedral and close to Las Ramblas. We walked to many of our tours. Many restaurants & shopping nearby.

Very beautiful property. A bit disappointed by Expedia description and pictures of room vs actual room. Expedia stated bidet and hair dryer in bathroom and there was not. The bathtub and bathroom in pictures was a bit nicer than ours. Very central location good for tourists and friendly helpful nultilingual staff.

Fabulous stay, would recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona. My husband and I and 6 friends had a brilliant time, the hotel went above expectations. We also left accidentally left a wallet in our room and we emailed the hotel a couple of days later to see if they said it. They quickly responded and confirmed they had this in their lost and found, we sorted a courier back and all the cash / coins were still in the wallet upon arrival. Thank you very much

10/10 experience at this Catalonia location. The location is very central and great for walking everywhere. I liked the security of this place with double glass doors that the front desk has to open for you. Quiet and very clean as well. The pool was a bonus to come back and cool down after walking around all day. The air condition also works wonderfully here unlike a lot of places in Europe.

Historic building, but rooms are very modern and convenient. Ours didn't have a view (looking at the wall, with a picture over it), but it was not a problem. The hotel is very central, in a shopping area, close to Placa Catalunya and the Old Town. Very convenient for sightseeing etc. Not a quiet area, but, if you need to be in the center, this is a great option. Staff was wonderful and breakfast outstanding. best I saw in an hotel for a long time.

It’s a very nice hotel but in the room the sink gets so clogged since the first second you open it. The bed has some wheels and everytime a person get in or out the bed it starts moving a lot. Other thing is that if you forget to trow the towels in the bath, they would not change them.

As soon as you walk into the hotel, I was very impressed with how beautiful this hotel was. It was in the center of All the shops. Had a fun time in the pool, I loved all the art that was included in the hotel and the room service Had champagne When we first walked in our room. Would definitely go back

The hotel was perfectly located. The area was very busy during the day. By nighttime the area quieted down, but it was a very easy walk to nearby bars and restaurants.

Perfect stay in Barcelona - hotel is on one of the main shopping streets, is right next to Plaça de Catalonia which is a transport hub. A few minutes from La Rambla. Air con was effective - room was quite and modern - TV was able to stream my Netflix, lovely bathroom. Pool was great for cooling off. Loads of little pedestrian streets with shops, restaurants and cafes. Staff were friendly and always available.

This is a nice hotel in the heart of Barcelona. As in many tourist areas, you should be mindful of petty crime. There are many restaurants, important sights and good shopping close by.
