Not bad.

It’s a blue collar or no collar motel. Huge room. Work desk, small kitchen table. Nice shower. Clean. Comfy. Would stay again. It’s not bad but not as walkable to Honda Center as I thought.

I felt the location and price was perfect for my stay Close to restaurants and convenience stores. Staff was friendly and room was spacious and clean! Will definitely come back again and for our next Disneyland trip!

They bother even tho theirs a do not disturb sign at the door they have workers that do not speak English I don't even think they are here legally. On my first stays I was satisfied as showed on my previous stays the bothering and knocking on the door extremely hard and loud so bad my blood pressure went up it was address to management problem not solved.

I love this hotel it's perfect for me I have a disability and everything is close by everything is accessable and convenient this hotel is not big but it has everything u could need microwave, cableTV,wifi, mini fridge, the bed is comfortable the pillows are soft the room has a desk and chair a single couch and a small round table with 2 chairs,and obcourse, cabinets to store clothes the sink shower and toilet very convenient the toilet has a strong flush it won't get clogged like others I've experienced the laddies that do the cleaning upon request do a good job everything tight and clean.And the pretty lady that runs the ship runs a tight establishment she is approachable u can speak to her if u have any questions, issues or problems she runs a tight ship she's the captain for sure I like that cause it makes your stay feel safe and secure that everything is gonna be in order other hotels I've stayed in as small as this one are usually very ghetto dirty and unprofessional. Another thing that a big plus if u like fastfood then u should know theirs a McDonald's right next door walking distance theirs a detaco, a wienerschnitzel a 711 jack n the box theirs a Ralph's not to far and one of my favorite convenience theirs the 22w fw. The 57 and the 5n,5s down the street if u coming to visit close by activities theirs the block outlets and obcourse Disneyland about 5min.away very convenient u can save yourself a lot of money if u are here for that the hotels over there R expensive

Everything is perfect for me the rooms have everything u need plus wifi and I like the set up I feel at home. If I can change one thing it would be the service lady knocking real hard like the police lol I usually stay up at night because of my work so in the daytime I rest every time she comes I practically jump and knocks me off my dream or meditation.its always on awkward time.It's not a huge problem because it's an easy fix u just got address it if it bothers u because ur nocturnal like me they are approachable or simply put a do not disturb sign on the door.

The property is at the heart of the city.The hotel has no telephone so that made communication with the staff difficult. I will not be returning back.

Bad customer service

The lady at the front counter was very rude, I get to my room. The first thing I turn on is the TV, and of course i can't get it to turn on. I go tell the lady in the front. She starts yelling at me. says to go back to my room. Her husband shows up. Nice guy shows up with 3 different remote controls and finally gets it to turn on. 20 minutes, go by, and the remote control stops working, i couldn't even turn off the t. V manually. So I just left it like that full blast. I slept good though my neighbors didn't thow,,being thin walls. You can literally hear area neighbors action going on thin walls but for the press in the area, no other complaints, thank you.

Cheap motel but nice staff

There's a reason this place is cheap. Walls are very thin. Next door you can hear people having a normal volume conversation. Bed is very firm and blankets thin, even with the extra blanket provided. One night the next door room had their tv on all night. We let the office know and they did try to handle it right away. Staff were fine, just the overall quality of the place matches their cheap price.

Good place my lady and I stayed there just for a night and was a very good price for the room size,bathroom was small and shower had minimal water pressure. The people in the upstairs room were moving stuff around banging stuff and making lots of noise throughout the night but overall it was a good stay, McDonald’s is right next door and not too far down del taco is there. I would use them again if we are in the area and need a place to stay.

I checked in at 7 30 pm and left before 10 pm lot of noise and then the police show up very unsafe will not re commend i dint ask for refund because there was police activity i wish i can get my money back

Very nice staff

The property and rooms were clean. The staff was good. I had a ‘remodeled’ bathroom. It was definitely a funky room. The furniture, though, was much to be desired. The chest of drawers were broken, the kitchen table and chairs were scraped and stained. There was peeling paint. I think once these are fixed, it would be a nice. The front desk person was kind enough to check on me when I unfortunately got sick. I would stay again if things in the room were fixed up.

Overall for the money it’s meets your needs if you just need to crash for the night after a day at Disney.

I was expecting just a regular room but when i checked in the lady up front gave me a room better than my expectations.

The lady at check-in was rude. You can only park one car although half of the lot was empty. My friend had to park down the street because I was told that if two cars are there one would be towed. I think she got frustrated because I asked her to repeat herself because I could not understand her. Her accent was terrible and very hard to understand. The room was ok but old and dated furniture. Hair in the shower. I was in the area for business. I will never be staying there again.

I didn’t expect a five star service but the poor costumer was absolutely unnecessary. For future reference it would be helpful to know if the hotel will be charging for other things when you arrive.

My wife and i have been coming here for a while, recently the owner has been passive aggressive with us constantly saying there’s only 1 car per stay. if the owner likes you, you get one of the “good” rooms. the last time we stayed she gave us a unclean room with a broken tv and broken remote, i was told to get up and use the buttons on the tv if i wanted to use it. when you try to tell her any problems she tells you not to come back or book online, we’ve spent a lot of money and to get this type of service is insane. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Update: after this review got posted she called me complaining why i left her a 1 star, if i could i would give her 0 stars. never heard a establishment that will call to complain about a review.

This place was ok!! I mean it was clean and quiet but for one reason or anything didn't feel completely safe. You can tell a lot of people"live" there and i heard a couple arginine idki just think it was ok. I wouldn't personally stay there again

The hotel and furniture itself is extremely outdated and worn down. The AC barely worked and the shower and toilet were leaking. I asked for extra towels since I had to use the ones in the room for the wet floor. I was assisted promptly. The staff was very friendly and even refunded me the 2nd night because I checked out early without even asking. I truly appreciated that gesture. I wouldn’t stay here again but I do feel the staff is trying their best managing a run down hotel in a mediocre area.

The rate and the room were good, but I didn’t use the shower because the floor was so slippery that is was dangerous. Also, the owners or people who manage the place are not friendly at all….

I came back to Castaway and I was pleasantly surprised to get an upgrade from me last visit. The staff gave me a small suite next door to the manager's office; it had the standard bed and bathroom AND it included a kitchenette! Nice! A few nitpicks: there was small lime buildup on the kitchenette sink; the shower was a tad cramp; the upholstery on the seat cushions looked like it needed to be replaced. None of these ruined my experience however, and I had a very nice stay. If you ever need a room in Orange while saving come money in your pocket, then this is the place! Thanks again Castaway!

It was a routine stay with no issues the way I want it.

I had to stay for the weekend but the rates in Anaheim were crazy steep, so at the suggestion of my mom, I booked a motel in Orange and this motel had the best price. It looked like the lobby got a nice, sleet update but that couldn't be said for the rest of the building. The room, however was nice but there were a few rusty spots here and there. The blow dryer in the bathroom wasn't working but they had a unique brand of soap and shampoo made from olive oil. Overall, I would give this place a decent pass and I might come back if the price is right.
