Great breakfast and close to everything. The staff is so nice.
The staff was very friendly and provided useful information about the area when we checked in. Having driven to the city, we parked at one of the recommended parking garages and took a cab to the hotel. Staying in the historical building was amazing! It’s definitely not an experience for someone expecting a new 5 star hotel. Plenty of noises from the street and from other rooms. For us, this was part of the charm and enhanced our adventure. When we opted to stay for a second night in Granada, the hotel was fully booked but was able to accommodate us in their apartment for a very reasonable rate. They moved our luggage for us while we were at the Alhambra and provided another excellent experience. If we come back to the city, I’ll check out their apartment as it’s more of our style. At the end of the night, my wife and I enjoyed sitting on the roof top terrace with our drinks and relaxed with a view of the Alhambra.
Beautiful,close to all amenities.Breakfast available.
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely hotel, in an enchanting town.
Great location but some discomforts
Great location to be at, short walk to Alhambra. We had a sewage smell in our room that came from the bathroom, the shower stall was so close to the toilet that larger people will have a problem using the toilet. One side of the bed didn't have a night stand but a very small ledge to put stuff on.
Friendly and helpful staff, and they let me do an early check-in. Walkable to most attractions.
My stay in Granada (4 days) was made much more memorable by staying at this hotel. The staff was outgoing, accommodating, friendly, and amiable. Their breakfast service and offerings were outstanding, and remarkably reasonable. Daily interactions with the staff were met with a smile. Would I stay there again? Yes. Wholeheartedly.
I was unaware that there were steps to get into the room and steps to go down into the bathroom. The registration desk was helpful and very friendly. The room definitely had a smell that never went away even though I opened the
not too great
beautiful building but not suitable for a hotel
Great location and lovely hotel, will be booking this place again when we return to Granada
Everything's fine.
The property´s location was excellent. The personnel was amazing and it was closed to all the attractions and places.
The staff was excellent- extremely helpful and most friendly! An older, charming facility rather than new and modern. Rooms are small but quite clean and comfortable. A great location in the Albaicin. You can walk everywhere you want to go.
A lovely little place to stay - not luxurious but more than adequate. Very reasonably priced too.
Lovely traditional Riyad style
The service at this hotel is excellent. I’ve stayed before and I would go back again. It’s the perfect location right off the Plaza Nueva.
Fabulous stay in Granada
We enjoyed our short stay very much. Casa del Capitel Nazari is a wonderful building to stay in, so much history here. The check in was very friendly and welcoming and the room very nice. The location was brilliant, within walking distance of the whole of central Granada and the Alhambra (although we did take the bus up due to the heat but we walked back). I would definitely stay here if I went back to Granada.
Great location and very nice people
An amazing stay! I stayed with my husband and 7 year old daughter. We had a wonderful stay! Great staff. Very clean. Our room was adorable and such great charm. I highly recommend this hotel! A must stay!!
Beautiful historic hotel in a perfect spot for exploring the best parts of Granada. Loved it!
The building is about 500 years old, nicely renovated and very welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Keep in mind that the location is in the historic cener, no parking close by, but you can coordinate this with the front desk
Unique and character hotel
Unique and character hotel in the Moorish quarter, close to Alhambra and other sites.
Cute property, great location, super front desk person, nice breakfast. Two twin beds pushed together is not a double bed.
The staff were all very kind and welcoming. The walls were quite thin so you could hear the plumbing or anyone in the hotel (this area was really quiet at night though so as long as other people staying in the hotel aren't noisy it's perfectly fine) and the room got hot and stuffy at night. That being said, the courtyard is beautiful, the location is good, and I had the breakfast on the last day and it was really good.
I liked the staff.
Awesome hotel with access to many sight seeing areas. I would stay here again!
Lovely hotel in a historic building - they did a great job restoring it and preserving its charm and character, including inside the rooms! It is steps away from Carrera del Darro and Plaza Nuevo and walkable to all the major sights, sites and neighbourhoods. Walk out the door and it's like "oh hi there, Alhambra!" 😀 Our room and the beds were comfortable, and we had no issues with any outside noise (from the courtyard or from the outside - our window was high and had a casement, which easily blocked out noise.) The plumbing is old school so you do hear some creaks and groans from time to time (including from other rooms) but given this is a heritage building, that's to be expected! It wasn't bothersome at all. The shared spaces (courtyard and dining areas) are really lovely and worth just relaxing in or taking a few minutes to meander about the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has affiliated parking partners with a couple of garages - we went with Parking APK2 Puerta Real (I believe this was the closer one) and it was an approx. ~10-minute walk from the hotel. At the time of my stay (Feb 2024), the hotel would help offset the cost of a taxi from the parking garage to the hotel. This was super helpful and welcome because with the super narrow streets and amount of pedestrians, we were not prepared to drive on Carrera del Darro! So we definitely recommend this option 🙂
Nice little hotel
Receptionists we’re very helpful and kind. Especially Esperanza! Homey hotel, in great location.
Location is great and hotel has a unique charm but rooms are not soundproof so you can hear your neighbours talking.
Very nice hotel. Shower and bathroom was very small, overall very cool, though.
Very noisy but in a great area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of character
Nice
The location of the property is perfect to explore Granada specifically the cathedral, Alhambra and Nasrid palace. The access to the property is not easy, but still close to the road.
Good position
The hotel is tricky to find, and the area made us feel a little nervous. However, the location is great, very close to the Alhambra. Service was good and friendly. They arranged a taxi to the station and a picnic breakfast as we had to check out early. The room is interesting, but the bathroom is incredibly small and tight.
Nice location attentive staff. Good breakfast.
Perfect location in the old town, convenient for all the major tourist attractions. Historic building updated with modern features. Friendly, helpful and informative staff. Nice breakfast. Highly recommended.
Charming hotel, within walking distance of several sites
We loved our spot at this hotel. We had a small outdoor deck with a view of the Alhambra and loved every minute. The staff was great and the breakfast was good as well. We'd stay here again in a minute.
Historic hotel in an historic city on the edge of the Albacin neighborhood. Everything is within walking distance. Hotel includes delightful interior courtyard, fountains, seating areas tucked away into small corners. Entrance is off of narrow winding cobblestone street; appreciated 24/7 staff at front desk who were wonderfully welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Spacious room with an extra bed, minifridge, small table, wardrobe for clothes hanging. Windows with shutters that opened onto an exterior garden and interior courtyard. Bathroom was a bit tight and a little musty but serviceable. If I am fortunate enough to be able to return to Granada, I will seek to stay here again.
The property is lovely. The room is small but has everything we need.
The hotel was in a great location in the old part of town with easy walking to the sights and restaurants
Room can be noisy especially on a weekend. Otherwise it was a great unique experience
Excellent staff, very convenient, clean and very pretty hotel
Lovely old hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff.
Beautiful and quaint. Small rooms, but cozy. Staff was helpful. Close to all restaurants and main strip.
The area was lovely and easy to get around by walking but we had to leave the car in an unground lot car from the hotel. If you’re thinking you need your car, this is not a good hotel for you.
Age, history, authenticity. Great location. Jose on front desk could not have been more helpful with recommendations for eating and for accessing the Alhambara. Would have appreciated coffee/tea making facilities in room.
.
This is a beautiful 16th-century property that has been lovingly restored and equipped with all the modern amenities you could want. The courtyard is gorgeous and boasts a Nasrid-era column from which the hotel gets its name. The staff were very kind and helpful. Buffet breakfast was great and conscientious of dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten free). It's also a great location, within walking distance of Granada's historic sites and lots of restaurants and bars. I highly recommend this property!
The host is very nice and caring, suggested some places for dining and enjoy the sunset. There is a well decorated patio. Surprised with the romantic goose by towel & the cava as I told it was my birthday of my hubby. Definitely high value of money. You won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic location for exploring Granada. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room wwas clean and comfortable.
It was great to stay in an old palace, it's a beautiful hotel and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet selection was fantastic, there was a lit of choice and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and courteous, they always greeted me warmly when I went out and when I came back. The only thing is I wish there was tea and coffee available when the breakfast room is closed.
Nice employees, very convenient location
This hotel is quite close to the Alhambra, several plazas, all kinds of shops and food. If you have a car you park it about 1/2 mile away-walk or taxi. This is an old part of town so no parking closer. All employees were very friendly and helpful. Someone is at the front desk 24/7; they buzz you in the front door which is nice security. Room was very clean, A/C kept it cool, small refrigerator (they stock as a mini-bar so you can put a bottle of water but not whole meals, and no table in the room). Bathroom spacious and locks but no vent, shower somewhat small, shelves to put stuff on.
Wonderful hotel in Albayzin! Within walking distance to main sites and bus stops. It is along quite a busy small street and the entrance is via buzzer only. Reception was very nice, and they are manned 24 hours so there is always someone to help. They offer tours and can give you guide and tips during your stay. The hotel itself was clean and beautiful inside - felt very homey but also quite elegant. Stayed at a double room - our room had 2 single beds pushed together but with separate blankets which was a bit weird for a couple, but it wasn't something we raised as an issue. Might be worth checking with hotel prior if they can change this if you travel with a partner! We had the breakfast option which was quite good - buffet style with selection of breads and pastries, yogurt, fruits, jam and other spreads, cold meats, and also hot food like omelette, bacon and sausages. They serve almost the same food everyday so could be repetitive but we enjoyed them nonetheless. The ladies who work in their breakfast area were friendly and very helpful! Really enjoyed our stay here and was such good value for money. Would happily stay here again next time!
This property is very comfortable very old and very clean. We loved Gordova. This property is in the best location. .
Great Find
Nice complimentary bottle of wine to start, Though the room was a bit smaller than some others we have had on our journey, it was clean and well kept up Bathroom was very nice but needed a bit more shelving for toiletry items. Staff was most friendly caring of our needs
Likes the old feel … hotel very old well maintained rooms very small but convenient to everything staff wonderful !
It has a lot of character and atmosphere being that it was built in the 6th Century. Adrian, the receptionist who checked us in and who was most often there during our stay, was wonderful. He couldn’t have been more friendly, likeable, or helpful. The hotel was kind of difficult to find from the bus station using GPS that took us through sone dicey areas, but once we were there we saw that it was perfectly placed in a busy area close to the Alhambra, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. The room was very small and kind of quirky in that there are steps up into the room and steps down into the bathroom. However, we didn’t end up having issues with either. I was a little worried that my husband might trip going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but he didn’t. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with mobility issues, but other than that we were very satisfied.
The hotel was very convenient to everything we needed. It was charming and authentic to the area. Perfect for a one night stay.
Located on a loud busy stairway , bathroom and shower way too small
Beautiful views of Alhambra. Clean accommodations. Welcoming staff
What a hidden gem! Magical from the moment you arrive. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location is ideal to all the tourist attractions and easy to walk around the city. Breakfast is yummy too!
This hotel is like a small palace in Alhambra. It has several outdoor patios with plants. The architectural design, wooden doors and mosaic tiles make the place so authentic. The hotel is in the center. The breakfast is a plus. You can’t go wrong especially you need it for the long walks going to Nasrid Palace. We highly recommend this hotel.
Friedly, knowledgeable staff, visually stunning property.
Charming boutique hotel
A fabulous boutique hotel with an abundance of old world Spanish charm. Location was perfect:within walking distance to everything. Very gracious staff from manager to receptionist to breakfast supervisor. Good breakfast at a reasonable price. Room had loads of character, very comfortable bed and good shower. Really enjoyed our stay
Historic hotel with modern comforts
This is a special place to stay. The care and effort involved in maintaining a hotel in such an ancient property deserves respect and appreciation. As others have posted, there are thin walls, but our neighbors were quiet enough for us to sleep. Earplugs would be wise. We would recommended that others stay here. Walking to many neighborhoods was easy and fun, and it is literally a 3 minute walk to a major taxi stand. We had no trouble rolling our suitcases there.
The history and architecture of this hotel are very interesting and unique. The staff was so very helpful, kind and accommodating.
Definitely stay here
I loved everything about this hotel. Its beautiful, the staff are extremely attententive and helpful and friendly. I really felt at home here. The location is near so many attractions to visit in Spain (including the Turkish bath house). I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Unique hotel in the heart of the magical Granada
Great location and hotel is great. However, the WIFI was very unstable in my room, with little reach. Also the bedroom 306 is next to the breakfast hall, so you can listen to all the noise from 8:30, so I could not get a late sleep.
The location is convenient and the 16th c building itself is beautiful, and the staff very helpful and nice. Given that there are many good reviews, we were probably given a bad room (#27, to avoid). It is very small and there is hardly space to open a suitcase. The wall is very thin, and we can hear every dialogue, sneeze, and cough of the neighbors. The bathroom has no ventilation system, and it has strong odor from problem an old plumbing system that spills in the entire room day and night.
Beautiful hotel with fabulous staff
Reception welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast great with lots of choice and amazing catering manager. Beautiful building in excellent location. Granada is a wonderful city and our accommodation definitely contributed to a memorable stay.
Beautiful and unique.
Good!!
Friendly and great location
Staff was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was ample and reasonably priced. We had an upgrade in our room which was very nice. The rooms face an inner courtyard which gets noisy and amplifies sound when happy tourists are returning to the hotel late at night!
Beautiful building, very clean, friendly staff. Great location, short walk to restaurants, craft markets, and Alhambra.
This was such a wonderful place. The service was outstanding, the location perfect and the room was so comfortable and spacious. Loved the jacuzzi after a long day of walking.
Our room was small but adequate for one night's stay. It was 10-15 minute walk to the Alhambra, the reason for our visit to Granada. Staff was very helpful, and breakfast was wonderful with lots of delicious choices.
Hotel is in a fabulous location, great for sightseeing all the main attractions in Granada. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Only downside was no lift to the 2nd floor, but once the luggage was in the room it wasn’t a problem. The receptionist did offer help from a member of staff, but we managed it. The building inside is spectacular, only drawback was the acoustic sounds early in the morning. On one of the mornings during our stay it was particularly unpleasant and loud. Not the hotels fault or within their control. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed it.
a
Great staff, really helpful and friendly. Charming building and perfect location to see the Alhambra and the Albacin. Would definitely go back to this hotel,
Great location at a reasonable price.
Great location close to everything Charming neighborhood Room was comfy and clean The breakfast was good especially the lady working there very nice Only complain was the smell of the cleaning solution was too much like perfume smell Otherwise I would recommend this hotel definitely
Great Location
Very friendly staff, clean rooms and a good breakfast. Walking distance to Al Hambra and historical district. Parking is challenging though.
Superb location, charming room
The location is perfect. You are in the heart of everything! The staff is nice. The rooms have tons of character!!
Loved it
A great location to stay - loved it. We were very impressed with reception team, so helpful. Proper service, gave out maps, recommendations, helped us book tickets etc. Place very clean with smiley team and always on the go. No complaints.
Outstanding!
A fabulous experience at this hotel....location...staff and standard couldn't have been better. Just wished we could have stayed longer!
Lovely hotel with lots of character.
Great location. Although the area is a tourist hotspot, the hotel is located on a quite street. Staff is excellent, very helpful with recommendations. The parking is ~10 minutes away from the hotel and is paid. Overall, we loved the hotel. The building is beautiful with lots of character. And the friendliness of staff adds to it.
Beautiful and historic
Beautiful old building, helpful staff, close to to historic core of Granada. I would gladly stay there again
Superb Licario
Incredible location. Beautiful hotel. Lovely breakfast. Excellent service.
Everything!!!!!really
It was a great location in the Arab quarter; beautiful old residence only accessible via walking, quiet and wonderful helpful staff
Great and helpful staff in a charming old property. Age of the building meant that some sound insulation would have helped.
Close walking distance to main attractions, shops and bars. Good value and full of character
A lovely old property in old part of city.
Great location and great service too. Rooms can be noisy, owing to the age of the property. The food on the restaurant is outstanding.
I liked the design of the room, facilities including central heating system and tea room service as well as friendly staff.
Good location
Location is great staff is very nice breakfast is good. The room quality was disappointing and the wifi work temporary in the room. Isolation from the road was ZERO.
Lovely place in the center of Granada, good and welcoming staff. room a bit small and not sound isolated between them.

Lovely hotel that is quiet yet close to everything. Super comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.
