A very nice and practical apartment set up, close to town and fairly well kept. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Surrounding properties were a bit rundown but hotel itself was good. We also enjoyed the view, watching the different ships go in and out of the port.

A little run down , our glass door to room was broken and taped. We only used the hotel one night due to late dinner and didn’t want to drive on unknown roads. Staff very friendly and courteous. Room clean. We didn’t use the pool area but that and garden area looked nice and pool looked clean.

Lots of improvements on cleanliness ,wifi and communication.our beds were infested with bedbugs,linen and towels off white.wifi barely worked , couldn’t open anything.no communications about pool no working prior to our stay,stayed 7days with no access to pool as it was still under maintenance.great location at the city centre walking distance.no restaurant onsite ,they do sell a few snacks .staff were lovely.

The hotel is a great option with a good apartment-type concept in Suva. However, improving the internet is a must. Otherwise, I would have given the full five stars.

the people were very helpful and kind. it was safe and walkable to everything in the downtown area. The free in-room internet is worthless, but if you get the 25FJD Digicel plan, you get 75GB of data for 7 days, which is good.

Conveniently located in the city so easy access to restaurants and shopping. Large rooms with kitchenette and bathroom.

I had a very unpleasant time at the capricorn. Despite paying for ten nights and not having stayed in them for three, we had to negotiate for an extra 30 mins for late check out… reason being check-in time was 12pm… we waited in the lobby for four hours and only saw one family check-in during that time. The bed sheets and towels were stained. They reception was very cheap, we asked for a garbage bag to clean out our garbage because ants started piling into the room and they told us they couldn’t provide any. There was also construction around the building and on adjacent streets every day. Best part about this place was the night time security guard and puppy.

During our visit to Suva for a funeral, we were fortunate enough to check in ahead of schedule. Our accommodation featured a self-contained room equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, and kitchenware including pots and pans. It made for a comfortable stay. From our room, we enjoyed a lovely view of the harbor, where we could watch cruise ships arrive. The room itself was tidy, with air conditioning and hot water available. Although the towels and bedding were somewhat worn, they were still clean. We were on the second floor, and since there was no elevator, the bursar kindly assisted us with our luggage to our room. Walking distance to everything. Will stay again.

Very convenient. We were grateful for the clean and safe place to stay and relax. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nice and close to the city. The pool was a blessing, especially with the humidity/heat.

Great place to stay very clean and walkable distance from city centre. 24 hour front desk which helped a lot especially with our early check out due to early flight and late check in due to late flight in.

Nice place but pool area not finished and limited food options

My brother and I stayed at the Capricorn Hotel for 2-night from July 21-23. Our overall stay was very nice. Nice and quiet, incredible balcony view of the Suva Harbor, decent beds, kitchenette inside our room, and a TV (which seemed to be a luxury while staying around Fiji). Check in/out process was very easy and simple. This hotel is in such a great location if you are looking to explore Suva like we did. 5-minute walk to Tapoo City, Suva Municipal Market, and other dining options. The only thing I would say was a let down was that our balcony door was jammed and stuck the first full day, but was then fixed. Overall great stay and would definitely come back here when in Suva.

The room in this apartment hotel was roomy and most of what was needed for my stay. It had a balcony with a view to the sea and overlooking the pool area. The pool was OK but had a bit of cloud in it. It’s clear this area was going through some maintenance work so that bar and dining area were closed. It looked freshly painted. The bed was decent but the sheets were quite worn. It wasn’t a problem though. Everything felt clean but i think it been awhile since someone did a full clean like washing walls and the like. The kitchenette had a good fridge and gas to cook on. It could do with some more utensils and basics like cooking oil. As I needed to do some work there I could use the dining table for that. The main issue was that the free internet the hotel offers is really for show. It is a slim down version of dialup and not good for much. The better version of internet you have to pay for, however it was not much better and I ended up having to tether to my phone to get by. Having said that Suva’s overall 4G data speeds are average at best and fake out constantly. So that would have affected the hotel as well. It may be unnerving for some that the front door of the room is to an outside walkway and was quite flimsy with only a basic locking mechanism. Still, once settled in, the stay was acceptable and we slept well there. The people were helpful and supportive once arrived but communications before then was non-existent, all my email queries went unanswered.

Convenient location to town. Bedroom was big and comfortable bedding. It’s very affordable for a really good place. Recommend staying here and I would book again.

Super convenient close to markets and town

Floor was dirty never mopped. If you walk barefoot you foot will be black because how the floor never mopped. Sheets never changed, they only changed when requested. Towels and linen not hotels towels and look dirty and stained. My house is cleaner than this hotel. Rooms should not be worth over than a $100 fjd . This is like motels or lodge standards. Not worth my $ and not going to return here

My cousin and I spent 4 nights at the Capricorn Hotel in Suva. We were amazed at the great service, the self contained room they put us in was on the ground floor (easy access to reception and main entrance). A queen and double bed came with a good sized fridge/freezer, a microwave, toaster, cutlery, an iron, hairdryer & all facilities in working order. The professional & super friendly manager & staff made our stay a memoriable one. We highly recommend this accommodation close to all amenities. We learnt at our family reunion that some of our families who booked into other accomodation had problems with electricity and the place they stayed at were run down with some broken facilities. We felt safe with the 24/7 security at the premises and on one occasion we arrived late afternoon and had no parking space and the lovely manager moved her car, so that we could park in her reserved space and told us to remove the cones and park in her spot if ever we needed to...I mean where in the world? you would get great service and kindness like that from a manager. Thanks heaps to the manager and staff of Capricorn Hotel, you're all doing an amazing job & we will surely be back next time we visit Suva "100 percent"

Worst customer service ever and the manager at the front desk is very rude and she doesn’t know how to talk to her staff or her customers. The room had ants and dirty water in the sink. She used the left over stuff left behind by other customers to refill her own front desk coffee and cleaning stations

Amazing view and convenience to main shopping center. Comfy bed. Bench in kitchen old/stained. TV works occasionally. Overall nice.
