DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!! I booked this hotel and we had to switch rooms cause the air conditioning wasn't working in the first room they put us in. Halfway into our stay, we woke up to find out that the electricity and water went out in the middle of our stay and we were forced to check out early. The hotel now refuses to process our refund after they promised to do so. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE
The Kingdom of Adequate
Been here a few times, it is good enough. It is usually quiet and functional. The breakfast works, the rooms are fine, etc etc. For the price I'm pretty happy with it. The facility is older, and they are doing what they can. Limited capabilities, wear and tear, and the elevators are not entirely reliable.
Worst hotel night
This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The hotel lost all power the weekend before and was closed down. We drove 45 minutes out of the way and HOTELS.com had no communication with us . We had to drive back toward Philadelphia and at the last minute book another hotel which was substandard. I feel like a refund or free stay would be appropriate for compensation of the time wasted.
We got to the hotel, there was no electricity. We never got the information regarding power outage. Once at the hotel, front desk people did not provide us with any accommodation nor compensation. Overall, a very disappointing and unprofessional service.
El hotel estaba cerrado sin previo aviso era casi 10 pm ..encontrar otro hotel acesa hora !.. QUE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCIA ...llegar a un hotel sin luz y sin servicio.
It was an okay stay for a state I’ve never been - although there were scandalous teens late at night hard to find parking & the front desk lady was rude.
This was a nice hotel tucked away from the city. There were a few conventions going on so it was a lot of people there at once but it was a good experience
We had no power or water and had to check out of the hotel
Good place
Good friendly staff. Great location
Decoration and bedrooms are nice, but in our bedroom the fridge was not working. We asked many times to different employees about the problem, only in the Night they changed it. An accident happened in the basement pipes. Flooding and shut down for whole day. No breakfast and customers have to move to another hotel. The manager was gentle and reimburse the money. Also and help looking for new accommodations. Accidents happen, but the hotel was not in a good shape. No emergency lights in hallways and stars.
The Lobby temp feels like the thermostat is set on 90. The power went out and there were no backup lights or assistance to get out of the hotel.
A very enjoyable stay!
The room and beds were super comfortable and clean! Check in was quick and easy. No complaints!
Service is very poor, they can not give towels saying they are out it. The lady in charge of breakfast is not professional at all.
The website says breakfast but hotel weekends weren’t free!!! There were no towels in the room and they didn’t clean the room next day. We were locked out of the room our second night.
Room was dirty and run down. The pictures of the hotel must be from 20 years ago. Would not stay here again.
I’m 72 and this was the worst place I’ve ever stayed in my life. Screaming drug users next to our room. Absolutely horrible service from the front desk. We couldn’t go to sleep until 2am because of the drug users next door to our room. Do not go near this God awful place!!!!!
Shows its age throughout. Staff friendly. No water or extras of any kind. Bare bones.
The room was dirty and outdated. The toilet was clogged and it didn’t have the amenities that they advertised. The pool was broken with maybe two gallons of water inside of it and trash. I plugged in the clock radio and was electrocuted. The cord was cut and when I made the manager aware he asked me did I cut the cord? The sheets and blankets had stains on them. They don’t have cable. The air conditioner was broken! This hotel needs to be shut down ASAP!!!
check in took approximately 1/2 hour and there was no ac on in th lobby. The doors were open and it Had to be about 90 degrees in the lobby and only one person was checking in. Breakfast was not Ready for Service at the stated time so we left and got Breakfast elsewhere
Room and bathroom are extremely outdated. Bathroom shower and sink drained slower than slow. Toilet has a slow leak at the flap, ran continually. Beds are way too soft. Chirping noise, couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Room was very clean.
elevators not working had to use service elevator (crummy) whole building needs refurbishing (worn out) . won't stay there again.
The elevators did not work all weekend. No air in the hotel. Too hot in the Lobby and the halls. Dangerous trying to walk from the 7th floor to LL in a gown and heels.
Wouldn’t be my first choice
Room was decent. Staff was pleasant and helpful when asked for help. Only one elevator and it stopped working any my room was on 7th floor. Was there for an event on the lower level. Very problematic in heels and carrying luggage. AC in event location wasn’t working. Room key had to be replaced multiple times.
One star is generous
Where to start. Upon check in, I knew we were off to a bad start after being informed that both elevators were out of order. The service elevator was running but took forever to get to the floor when called. The entrance was dirty and cluttered, as it was not intended for guest use. Not ideal or convenient at all given we were traveling with our 2 young sons. Taking the stairs was faster but not great since we were on the 5th floor. Once finally getting to the room,I had to check the hotel info to see if it was pet friendly. While the info claimed it was not, the absolutely nauseating stench of cat urine and stained carpet made us think otherwise. We kept our shoes on in the room because of how dirty we felt. One of our adjoining room's AC hardly kept the room in the 70s. We also had to clean the toilet when we got there, I'll spare you the details. There was an exposed piece of metal sticking out of one of the beds that was a major tripping hazard, especially for our 2 year old son. All in all, the stay was one that we won't soon forget, and NOT for the right reasons.
The pool was closed for repairs and the AC in lobby and restaurant was broken.
Clean, Quick & Quiet
Cleanliness
We only stay where breakfast is included and it was $14 each! They knew Expedia had it hidden somewhere because they had searched it for another customer. The place was run down, with no air conditioning for a wedding party downstairs. Desk staff made themselves scarce.
I just expected more. The hotel is going through upgrades. The pool looked filthy. The staff was very nice. I have to say. It wasn't a roach motel or anything. It got the job done. I was able to lay my head down. Probably won't stay here again
The people
Did not see any hair dryer n iron in room
Beds were comfortable. Felt safe. Good water pressure in shower. Our sink was broken, it seems like it was known, the handle was just balanced on the faucet.
I went back after many years since the last time I stayed at this hotel and unfortunately it was a very bad experience. As soon my family and I walked in there we noticed a smell not sure what it was but I am suspecting that the carpets need a deep cleaning. The front staff not friendly or approachable at all. When walked into our room, again the same bad smell. After checking the towels we noticed that we were short by two towels, went to the front desk and they only could give us one more. For some radon didn’t have more towels available. Oh yeah! And the mini fridge in our room was not working at all. To make things worst around 8:30 a gentleman that later identified him self as the maintenance person walked into our room. According to him the date before he was in the room fixing the ceiling and he walked into the room because he tough the room was empty. Believe me I could keep going with things that were wrong with this place. Bottom line stay away from this place.
by the exit
One single coffee pod in our room; no coffee cups or plastic cups. Three mini bottles of conditioner, no shampoo or body lotion. Floor was dirty; couldn't find a working ice machine and went to several floors trying.
No complementary Breakfast on weekends and lack of tools.
Excellent and Safe Stay
The one thing I really notice about my stay here is how safe it is. One can go about the area any time of day with no issues. I really liked that. Overall, this was a really good stay. The room was clean and very spacious. The beds were very comfortable, and it was easy to get into and out of the shower. Now the faults. There was only one of two elevators open. So, it can be a bit busy with a wait for it. And it can also get quite full Also, the room can get quite stuffy. I found that they turn off the air conditioner, so it was easy and just a simple matter of turning it on and adjusting the temperature to taste. The soap provided for the bathroom was too small and too thin. And they only provided one. So, I used that one for the sink, and I went to CVS to get the one for the shower. Good thing CVS was a block away. The breakfast at the hotel is not free on weekends, and does cost $14. On the other hand, the selection of food and drink are ample. The seating, whether at a low table, or a higher one, is comfortable. The one thing though, is that they seem to be working on the AC in the lobby area, and does not feel as cool as I’d like. The attendant was friendly and ready to answer questions or concerns. Parking here is ample and free. I liked the channel lineup Of note, were TV channels from Japan and Taiwan. Also, there were channels in French and Spanish. There was even local television too. Checkout was a breeze, and the hotel was close to SEPTA.?
I had reserved a room with a King bed but upon arrival that kind of a room was not available (despite the fact that it was a confirmed reservation) (maybe I amd someone else hit that "book" button at exactly the same time))?). After a bit of a wait we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge so kudos to the desk staff for that. There were a few things I did not like ... problems with the air conditioning on the main floor (A/C in the rooms worked fine) and the fact that although it says "breakfast included", that is apparently only during the week (I checked that box on my Expedia search) and we arrived Friday night. It should be very clear thst breakfast is included weekdsys only .... I found it further down the page when I looked later but at first glance it sure looked like it was included. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were all great.
It was ok. It worked for the purpose we were staying.
First time staying, and it was a great hotel. I would definitely stay there again.
This property did not match its photos and was very dirty
Front desk was very nice. That didn’t have any air but the room did. It was quiet, and room was big
Clean, quiet, easy access from Rt 95. Pool was closed and lobby AC was broken, room AC compressor was loud. Of 4 groups of friends, we all paid the same rate but only 2 had breakfast included.
T
The pool was completely green and unusable. The downstairs had no AC making the restaurant/breakfast useless. Even though there was AC in the room, it was very muggy in the room, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. Staff was rude. Expedia’s response was that the hotel won’t answer them so they can’t do anything about it.
Breakfast was ok if you’re unable to afford food elsewhere. Room was ok. Refrigerator stopped working mid stay Amenities were not as currently listed online. Location is great. Staff is nice. Would start again but only because it’s the only hotel in the area.
Great experience
Pleasant place
Your site said breakfast was included. Got there and was told that’s only in the week days. Weekends you pay. Felt like I was taken advantage of. Pillows weren’t very comfortable and I really don’t like the toilet seat up upon arrival. toilets should have closed lids. Otherwise okay.
Great location, but wouldn’t stay again
Windows had white film on the outside. Rust around light fixtures in bathroom. Breakfast/restaurant area didn’t have AC - they had two industrial fans blowing hot air around. Carpets haven’t been updated in a long time - very thin on steps down to banquet halls. Pool was closed - green and chairs in the pool.
The tub area needed work, Pool was not usable. Otherwise the hotel was OK.
Cozy and quiet
The room was a great size very clean and quiet. I would most defiantly stay here again
Very well kept property
There was a party in the hotel and the music was so loud, the walls were vibrating in our room. We couldn't sleep until very late. Don't book on the weekends if you want a quiet stay!
Used hotel
the room smelled so badly of mold and mildew we could not stay there. it was the worst conditions ive seen in a long time. we did not feel safe there at all or we would have asked for another room pool is advertised and we had a pool view room, the pool is empty and the area is filthy
Unsafe and Broken Down
I stayed here with my 10 year old son for a hockey tournament. Upon check in we were told to keep close to each other as people from the halfway house/ mental institution next door tend to wander over. There were constantly strange men smoking and drinking out front. When I asked to use the lobby bathroom I was directed to one with a locking door and told to bring my son in with me for safety. There were birds flying around the “restaurant “ and breakfast was inconsistent and sometimes skipped altogether. Each time we left our room the room key stopped working so we would have to go down to the lobby to get our key reprogrammed. This happened to the entire hotel. So you were constantly in a line to get your key fixed. There was no service to the rooms. We were there for 4 days. No new towels, no beds being made. We had to request new towels and our garbages to be changed and they acted as if this was a major inconvenience. Please do not stay here.
When we arrived after calling they told me that they did not have a room with 2 double that I had booked. They told me they had over booked. My husband and I were traveling with our teen daughter! Not acceptable!! They offered us a separate room for her again not acceptable to have her in a room allow or separate a family after I had booked together. My husband ended up sleeping in a chair. We are less than happy with our stay and fee a refund is due us!
Furniture is old, outdated, courtyard not kept up, shower was not functioning properly, staff is lack of compassion
Check if pool and restaurant are open
Very disappointed- stayed here with a baseball team, expecting for the kids to use the pool and it was empty. The first floor didn’t have air conditioner or running water so the restaurant was closed. A busy!
The air conditioning did not work. We couldn't eat breakfast because the air didnt work and it was hot and miserable. Also the elevator wasnt working and my husband who just had a heart attack had to walk down the steps.
I liked the convenience of being close to everything I needed for this trip. The room a/c was working well, no smell. Restaurant a/c was out, pool was out. The front entrance area outside reeked of pot. We stayed 3 nights and our room wasn't tidied up, no coffee pods replenished and our towels were unchanged. A bit disconcerting as we paid quite a bit for this hotel. Staff however, was friendly and courteous. Will only stay there again if we we're down on other options. Sort of making do.
This place gave the feeling of being on a budget. It mis advertised their amenities- the pool was not in service. The restaurant was not open at night. I think this place has a lot of potential to be great, if managed adequately. For the price it was okay.
Pool was closed, other reviews say it was closed still a month ago. Manager said it would be open “next week” Not likely. “Free breakfast was awful, nothing on the “buffet” other than eggs and bread. Also they don’t tell you it’s not free on the weekends. False advertising to me. Asked for more towels and said they didn’t have any. Don’t stay here.
Not Staying Here Again!
Check-in was an issue, as there were 3 people at the counter, yet only one person was assisting anyone. The person that he was assisting was complaining, so it took a while. The breakfast was supposed to be included, yet we were told not on weekends. I said that was not mentioned when booking. He said it is, but "kinda hidden". The breakfast was sad and half the items empty. None of the ice machines on the 4 floors I checked worked. The girl at the front desk said she could not help and went back to her cell phone. The 6th floor carpet, along with the elevator had trash in multiple places on the floor.
Close to where event was.
Good
Nice
Not happy pool not open Woken by crazy irrate people yelling n screaming from 2am-4am and no one called the police I feared for my safety and stayed locked in my room
We were very disappointed by our one night stay at the Brandywine Plaza hotel. Check in was quick but they do not offer free breakfast on the weekends. There was a small paper sign next to the reception desk with the price. When we got to our room I noticed that there was garbage in the sitting area outside the elevators and along the hallway. Our room was okay, we had to shift some appliances around so we could plug into the microwave. Unfortunately the toilet in our room did not flush. I went to call down the front desk to let them know and that’s when we discovered the phone didn’t work. I went down to reception to let them know of the issues and they were quick to move us to other room. The women working at the front desk were very helpful and apologetic. The next room was a floor below and also had garbage in the hallway. There was a sticky patch of what we hope was excess carpet glue in the entryway of the new room. The toilet thankfully flushed and the phone worked, but this room had issues too. There were multiple mold spots on the ceiling and the remote for the tv didn’t work. At that point in the evening we were tired and hungry and wanted to just eat dinner and go to sleep. We left quickly the next morning and were not asked about how our stay was before we left. I would not stay at this hotel again. The only reason it got a second star was because we were so quickly accommodated with our first issue.
The bar wasn’t open at 8pm on Sat The pool is empty and that is why we chose the hotel for our team event The beds were very comfortable The water was turned scalding hot The room/hallway was dingy
I have stayed here a couple of times. It serves it purpose.
Convenient for one night.
Very convenient for Philly airport. You get what it says on the tin. Staff civil but not terribly friendly. I think I may have seen the gent on the reception desk smile once but not sure! First room given stank of cigarette smoke but they moved me with no fuss. Breakfast was fine.
Enter hotel and lobby has a distinct odor. Elevator dirty. Carpet in hallway to room dirty. Room smelled. Either previous people in room smoked pot, or people next door or outside, or coming thru vent. Distinct smell of urine on one side of room. Heard what I could only guess were gunshots around midnight. Not fireworks. Shower was strong but plumbing was falling away from wall. Staff at night mistakenly told me no free breakfast the next morning (although Expedia notes free breakfast... Next morning we WERE able to get free breakfast). Will never return.
Eh
Reserves two rooms, clerk said it was only one, even after showing her the reservation. This clerk looked and acted like she was high. Another clerk found the second room, which was no where near the first room. Original clerk added a third room and charged for for that. Clerk the next morning had to take that charge off. Air conditioning was weak.
Staff was rude; the carpet throughout the building is dirty and dingy; the fitness center was an absolute disgusting disappointment. I will never stay here again and definitely would not recommend.
👍
Convenient location. friendly staffs.
Pool was not working. Area a little sketchy
Structure of the room was cracked, writings on the wall. Holes in wall
Overall for the cost location staff cleaning it has 4/star abilities limited staff, yet the front desk will make your request a priority. So yea 5/ stars…
This hotel is my go to for a longtime, the rate is the best. I may go to Expedia to get the best cost…. For the lay out the fact there is a restaurant, exercise room a bar it has 4/star hotel qualities minus the upgrade. The place needs an upgrade to compete with the Hilton, yet it’s clean the rooms are pretty nice. The staff are some of the best I have come across. I don’t review but they made things GREAT for me during a big transition in life and business. So yea 5/stars it has the comfort of a 4/star hotel for less.
Other than the mix up with our reservation the stay was very nice.
There is definitely an unpleasant smell when entering the hotel. Average room, would not stay again by choice. Not what I expected.
Upset that the poo wasn’t ready for guess to swim!
Rates are affordable. Easy to get in and out. Pretty good breakfast.
Gym room water damage and uninviting. Pool closed no notice given when booking room. No disclosure of paid breakfast on weekends. Then when paid for breakfast it was cold. Will not recommend your property nor will I come back
We stayed one night and there was a party outside the main entrance. Gathering of at least 15 people (music and drinks). Is that allowed? The parking lot was needs to be repaved. We waited from 3pm to 4pm. to check in. Rooms were not ready for us and there were at least 8 people sitting in the lobby waiting. Lastly, no free breakfast on the weekends. ?? But weekdays ok? Whose idea was that. We used expedia and it there was no mentioned of that. Is that false advertising, honest mistake? I travel for work at least once every two weeks and the listings are always clear.
Took forever to check in, only one person working
Customer service was excellent. Everybody at the desk was so so so helpful! The manager was really really very nice to us and helped us all the way through!
Very nice place to stay
No maid service no free breakfast on weekends ice machines broken pool out of order
Disappointing
Chose it for the pool- but the pool was drained with no advance notice or apology. Incredibly noisy with people partying til 4 AM Fri/Sat- not possible to sleep. Check in took 45 minutes.
The room was clean
dont stay here
hotel is outdated and old. Our door did not have a room number, you could see where it was suppose to be. Only knew it was our room because of the # on the door next door. On arrival there was only 1 large towel and a few hand/wash towels that were old and worn. There was only 1 bar of soap that you could either use when you showered or washed your hands. I tried to call front desk/hotel services several times to let them know i needed more towels and no one answered. My husband had to go down to the desk. He also asked them to give us extra towels when the cleaning service crew comes the next day and he was told they dont clean up your room but would give us fresh towels. Some of our friends had similar problems with their rooms. One had to change because the celling tiles were fall off. Anyone one arrived late and they told them they didnt have their room available anymore. The pool was not open as it was being repaired.
I stay 10 day only cleaning room 1 times and hotel bad smell
Clean room, friendly staff
There was a basement fire a few weeks ago, the entire building smells of mold/mildew. The hallways, the rooms, the lobby… terrible smell. And the faucet water in the rooms smells of Chlorine. The bathroom was DISGUSTING, hair all over the floor, shower, and toilet! So, if you like these things, you’ll love it here!

Great place. Would stay there again.
