This facility is a little far from Pisa Central Station and from the Center of Pisa ( Piazza Garibaldi). It is showed as a 4 stars but it is far from that. Expedia starts with Blue Shades Hotel but in the reality it's called Blue Shades Aparthotel still with 4 stars. Expedia says "Breakfast available" but actually no breakfast is available. You need to go to the Vanilla bar. Yes, Vanilla bar is wonderful but it is not part of the hotel. The bathroom items were not in a very good shape. No shower gel or shampoo. You will get some small shower soaps or shampoo soaps. There was a boiler but no tea was provided and the gas stove didn't work. Check-in: our flight arrived at 9:40pm and I asked if we could do the check-in after we went to the restaurant. They asked us to do the check-in as first thing and going to the restaurant after. By the time we finished with the check-in and we could go to the restaurant that I wanted, it was closed ( so be careful about this) and we had to go somewhere else. There are better 4 stars in Pisa (at least two) and they will continue to be my favourite choice

Excellent Hotel access to Pisa central & airport 5mins walking

We just used this for a quick stop over before flying home. Airport is a 400m short walk so is ideal, we event did this at 4.30am streets were perfectly safe 👍

Updated hotel, walkable from train station and even closer for an easy walk to airport. Just what we wanted. Staff was great. Good restaurant very close and coffee place right there. Would stay again.

Family trip via Pisa

The apartment was generally clean but was in need of some maintenance. Likewise the supplied equipment was somewhat limited (for example, only one small spoon). Excellent location for airport, with good amenities on site.

This hotel was a godsend when our flight was delayed so long we couldn’t get to our destination. They put up a cot for us at a couple of hour’s notice and even warmed up some milk for our baby. The staff were so kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet, although the appliances would be a bit noisy for some people. Perfect for a night or two. If you wanted to cook a full meal, the kitchenette would not be big enough. Not a problem for us but worth knowing for other people.

Great place to stay near the airport, lovely restaurant downstairs for breakfast and a little playground for children. Incredibly comfortable beds and air conditioning, friendly and helpful reception staff.

The best hotel experience I’ve ever had

The staff at Blue Shades were some of the nicest and most accommodating group of individuals in any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I had to stay here due to a medical emergency and had to take a flight home the next day. I could not walk due to a broken leg/foot and the reception was so sweet and helped me get into the building and my room with an office chair. I would have had no way to physically get in the building without their help. Plus the food was unexpectedly fantastic, turns out they make the food fresh. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Without a doubt I would refer any of my friends and family to this hotel if they’re staying in or near Pisa. When I come back to Pisa I am booking Blue Shades again.

Very friendly welcome, even some homemade snacks. Very easy walk to Pisa airport and other amenities (grocery store, restaurants, ...) Room was very nice. Quiet and comfortable. If you have an early flight from Pisa this place hotel works really well.

My husband, myself our 3 grown up sons, 2 daughters in law and 2 grandchildren stayed the night after arrival at Pisa airport. We were able to walk from the airport so could collect rental car the next day and didn’t need to worry about parking, baby seats etc until the following day. The rooms were clean, had lots of facilities (cooking.) The staff were helpful and the breakfast was excellent - big spread and freshly cooked scrambled eggs. Would definitely recommended and also return. Lovely cafe very close too.

Very friendly reception easy walk from airport. I was only there to sleep 22:00 - 06:00 I couldn’t get the TV to work and coffee machine had wrong pods so was no use - if Inwas staying longer Inwojld have complained and sure it would have been sorted but would have been nice if it all just worked…

Really near the airport, big rooms, very clean and great price

It's a small hotel right by the airport of Pisa, with incredible hospitality, particularly from the receptionist Micaela, who made everything to make us feel well. We arrived after midnight from the flight, only she was at the hotel, but she offered to prepare some food for our 4 years child. In the next day in the morning she was there agaik and she helped us with some recomenfations and hints to understand the road rules.in Italy. The hitel utself was everything good, spacious and confortable rooms, with air conditioned, clean and everythimg working well.

perfect Airport hotel

This hotel is literally a block from the airport and it’s very clean, comfortable, modern, quiet and very welcoming. You literally walk out of the airport, cross the street and walk 1 block up via del Aeroport take first left and it’s in a small shop/business plaza. Nice continental breakfast in the morning and the staff are really lovely.

Great location to Pisa airport

Very convenient to Pisa airport- within comfortable walking distance. Good breakfast served at a reasonable cost. The only downside was that the lift was out of order.

I stayed 3 single nights to fit around inconvenient flights to Pisa. Each time Michaela welcomed me with water (it was hot!) and she recognised me the later times. She carried my bag upstairs when the lift was out of order - much appreciated by an older traveller like me. I particularly like the convenience fo Pisa airport and the hotel's 24 hour reception. The Blue Shades aparthotel is close than the car rental place! It is even possible to walk to the center of Pisa (leaning tower,etc) - it took me 40 minutes. Basic hotel but clean, friendly and very convenient - recommended for anyone transiting through Pisa

Excellent value. Had booked an economy room for one night but given a large, very comfortable family room. Friendliness and helpfulness of reception staff was exceptional. Excellent location for Pisa Airport (5 minutes walk) and Pisa Central Station (20 minutes walk). Highly recommended.

Does the job!

Great place for an overnight stopover. We booked this as we landed late at night in Pisa. Most convenient location, 5 min walk and a short cab ride to the Leaning Tower. For a night's stay, it did the job! Not the most comfortable of beds, but considering we were only there for 1 night, it was fine.

Smile, kindness and compassion of front door gave me real hope for humanity I had booked to Franceska to Pisa , strange name of hotel via Expedia. When I went there, it was not a hotel but a private home without a staff on site. I went back to the PAS, and rebooked to Blueshades which was located in walking distance What a pleasure to experience of warm welcome!!!!

Lovely staff

The hotel was a short walk from the airport and walkable into the centre of Pisa . We stayed one night and no complaints - very clean and functional.What made this hotel special though was the lovely staff who were exceptionally helpful and kind.

Perfect for our early morning flight, this hotel is only about 8 min walk to the airport so we went from bed to airside in about 30 minutes! The bed was comfy and the room was large, staff were friendly and our 4.30am check out was hassle free! We’d stay here again.

Good stay value for money... the showers needs to be refurbished

Not bad but not great.

We got a low last minute rate so from that point of view it was reasonable value for money with secure basement parking included. Reception was good when they were there, but were often absent. Rooms were reasonably comfortable but the breakfast was poor. Having opted for it as an extra to be then charged again for coffee was poor form. Probably our least favorite hotel experience of our 6 days in Italy.

Great location a short walk from airport. Very hospitable welcome. Helpful staff. We had a great nights sleep. Would recommend as a centre for touring Tuscany with excellent transport links to Florence.

Close to airport, excellent place to stay overnigh

We were travelling on to Florence the next day so needed to stay near the airport to pick up a car. The Hotel was within walking distance so ideal. The staff were really helpful, there were several places nearby to eat. We walked around Pisa for the morning before we had to leave. We loved Pisa, & have decided to return a day earlier than we intended so that we can spend more time exploring. Hopefully we can get a room back at Blue Shades!

The hotel was convenient, clean and comfortable. Less than 10 minute walk to the airport. My only complaint is the lobby smelled heavily of cigarettes.

Acceptable hotel walking distance to airport.

Facilities well equipped, lacks functional usefulness. Shower door don't close, no holder in the show for amenities. Bed wth cover n sheets, no blanket. Only one pillow, no spare in wardrobe. Mosquito flying out from ventilation duct all the time! In 1/2hr I killed over a dozen. Sleep with buzzing around Have central air condition but temperatures locked at 20 degrees. R this standard for Small town Italian hotel?

In the heat of the night...

Arriving at midnight after a late flight, our three-bed family room was very hot. A call to reception was not initially helpful. "The air conditioning in our room is not working." Reception: "Yes." ...and so on in this manner until I was able to convey that not fixing it wasn't an option. Anyhow, this should all have been checked before we arrived. It took two very uncomfortable hours for the temperature to cool down to acceptable. Meanwhile, the aircon grumbled on loudly, making for a poor night's sleep. If you're in room 204 and wondering why the bedroom floor feels weirdly damp, it's because the bathroom, adjacent to the bedroom, leaks under the partition wall. The bathroom itself, while clean, leaked from the shower and the sink tap wasn't fixed to the sink but wobbled about like a Saturday night drunk. There were two sets of towels for three travellers. There was no bottled water in the room, probably because the interior of the fridge was even warmer than the room. Assuming - incorrectly as it turned out - that any attempt to find another three-bed room after midnight was probably futile we decided to lump it. The next morning I spoke with the manager, a pleasant lady, who was apologetic but pointed out that we could have asked to be moved. Indeed we could have - but a good hotel would have moved us immediately and without question at the start. They'd also offer a hefty discount. We won't be back.

Handy for both airport and city

Free parking, 30 minutes walk to the Leaning tower, the airport itself is walkable too. Few nice restaurants nearby. The room itself is lovely.

Good hotel close to Airport.

Booked this mainly because I had an early morning flight from PSA,and it was 10 mins walk from airport. I was surprised that it was a nice hotel room in a modern building. The check-in took 1 minute, and the front desk staff were very helpful. The room was clean, large, and well laid out. About 30-40 mins walk to the tourist areas of Pisa (Leaning Tower and so-on), but goes through some interesting areas and over the river.

8 minute walk to departures at Galileo airport. Ideal for overnight stay. We stayed 2 nights. Local area has supermarket, restaurants etc and i would recommend the Vanilla Cafe right next to the hotel for a snack and a glass of wine or beer. Hotel staff were all very helpful, room comfortable and reasonably well equipped. Good wifi in room. 15 minute walk to the centre of Pisa, around 30 minutes to the tower. Recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Shades Hotel. The staff is great and it's in a central location. Everything is within walking distance.

Useful stopover near Pisa airport

The plane arrived late and we had to find our way driving in the dark - the hotel signage was not very obvious but after asking we eventually found the hotel - opposite the Coop store. Staff on duty uncertain about the room facilities - how to switch on the lights start the hob etc - and had to call up the proprietor in the end. Parking under the hotel convenient but didn't realise you have to swipe your door key to come back up in the lift so more delays walking around the complex back to the main entrance. Room pleasant, well provided and comfortable, local pizza place nearby very good for a late meal.

Slightly noisy early morning with hair dryers and doors clunking, but it's a very good hotel for the airport and very clean. Easy to walk to town and without heavy bags to the airport too. Nice little bar/cafe a few steps away. Shower was very smal despite the bathroom being big but it's great to have a bidet! Friendly and helpful staff. Taxi to airport came in 3 minutes and took 4 minutes to get to the terminal

Great stay at blue shade hotel in Pisa, Italy

We arrived a lot earlier than expected. We met Isabela during checking in and she was very helpful and friendly. She even had a room ready for us when we arrived. The room was clean, quiet, and very close to the airport. They were celebrating her husband birthday and made us feel like part of the family.

We were only staying for one night and this hotel worked well. Very clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful. Very close to the airport if you were traveling however there was no airport noise. Approx 15min walk to reasonable restraints with a couple of pizza places closer. Very happy with our stay.
