Don't need to stay here again

A thoroughly mediocre place to stay, from the meh rooms to the small pool. You can do better in Huatulco.

There was building works happening outside our room. It started at 8am every day and didn’t finish until after 10pm at night. The hall ways were dirty with construction work and the hotel did not tell us about this before making our booking. The room was dark with no natural light and we hated being in the hotel. The manager agreed the noise was unacceptable , promised a partial refund and is now ignoring all my emails. The hotel had a weird vibe and I would not go back. The rooms are dated and it felt oppressive with no natural light.

I don’t usually leave reviews unless something stands out good or bad. At Check in I requested first floor due to surfboard bags. They charged me $35 extra. At 10:30pm I went to the office. The rooms Ac, was not large enough to keep up with heat outside so the room was 80 degrees. I went to the office and was able to borrow their floor fan to get by. We were only staying one night for proximity to airport. The hot water didn’t work either and the bathroom at a smell to it too.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Nice pool and very good restaurant. Within walking distance to some excellent restaurants. Manager provided a cost effective ride to the airport when we left.

A perfect place to stay when visiting Huatulco.

Nice and clean, quiet, staff was fantastic. Would stay again. The only negative was the one family that had their crap saving their seats all day every day at the pool loungers.

It was centrally located between the beach and the town. The rooms were comfortable once we figured out the AC. The pool was a relaxing spot and the restaurant had good food.

Very quiet room and hotel is located in quiet area. Staff goes out of their way to accommodate you. Right across the street from large grocery store. 15 minute walk to downtown Le Crucecita.

Excellent Facility

My family and I absolutely love this hotel. The service is exceptional, the food quality is good-to-excellent, and the location couldn't be better (literally across the street from a large supermarket selling everything you forgot to pack). I suggest ordering the steak medium, and enjoying the "tacos gobernador" with large fresh shrimp and a sweet n spicy mango sauce. Delicious!

Love Mexico

We loved our stay at Best Western, the people are fabulous from the first time you walk in, the front desk staff all the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated! We have never satayed before but defianately will again! We have eaten breakfast everyday at the hotel restaraunt for our last 3 trips there and a big shout out to the service staff and cooking staff there as they are excellent! Can't say enough good things about our stay, pool is also great and rooms spacious and comfortable.

Way to expensive for the room which was subpar-clean but stark and in need of maintenance in the bathroom

Staff were hardworking, pleasant and very accommodating. The workers have been well trained. Kudos to their supervisors. We were treated as valued guests by everyone we had contact with. I liked that while there more spots in the shade were being created for guests who prefer not to sit in the sun. I noticed property and building upgrades and maintenance have been given priority.

The staff are amazing. We had some problems with the room initially and they bent over backwards to make sure everything was put right. They always had a great attitude. management is very present and their friendly customer service attitude permeates the motel. The room was very comfortable with the only complaint was the pillows were not as comfortable as we might want. Definitely recommend it and it is in a convenient location to food shopping, Crucecita, Santa Cruz and the beaches.

The garden/pool area is not large but very pleasant and sheltered from the street. Restaurant and lounge quite nice, food good and well presented. Staff is exceptional.

Nice little hide away.

The Best Western was a very clean, friendly and fun hotel. We are glad we chose to stay there and would stay there again. It is located nicely between everything we wanted. The beaches, shopping and restaurants. The pool was great, and the restaurant was also very good. We watched the super bowl on the big screens in the little cantina on site. We would recommend this property.

First day in Huatulco

Our stay was great. From the moment we walked through the doors. Great hospitality, friendly helpful staff. Good location. The family-friendly atmosphere was fun and enjoyable. Clean nice pool. All around great hotel to start a holiday with.

Property recently just put a elevator in Long cheerier is excellent the restaurant very good the swimming pool fantastic the pet area of the hotel is nice the rooms are spacious very well planned out I enjoyed my stay The room that I was in had a large balcony on it actually had a hammock on it very nice

The thing I liked was it was at a good place close to the centro. The thing not liked was no wifi, small queen beds, no hot water, and housekeeping kept turning off our AC... but i have to say the “restaurant” its GREAT!!,homemade bread every morning!,great food!!,even people from other hotels go there..

OK hotel but 3 room changes was too much

Arrived tired after a series of long flights. The staff were friendly and I got to my room and the a/c was put on for me. Unpacked all my stuff. After a while the a/c unit started to leak on the floor. Called front desk and was given another room. The next room seemed fine until the next morning when I went to take a shower the water was cold and didn't heat up. Another room change and all seemed okay except it was near the pool so I could hear kids and music when I was trying to sleep, but by this time I was staying where I was. The hotel is close to Chadraui the grocery store so that's a plus, but needs updating.

Nice hotel in good spot

Nice hacienda type hotel with good food and friendly staff. Only issue we had was not receiving the king bed we paid for in advance with Orbitz. Other than that the hotel was great, nice staff, good location close to beaches and restaurants.

An excellent local experience

Excellent hospitality, great location, outstanding value, very good Wi-Fi. Although older, rooms are clean and well maintained. Pool and grounds are very nice and no issues with bugs. A large supermarket is next door and the beach is a 7 min walk. A special thank you to Alvaro, Judith, Raul, and Hector for exceptional service and making me feel at home. I would return anytime!

The Price is Right

Pretty simple, but very well maintained; clean; excellent service and really a great deal for the price - I will try this one again if and when I go back to Huatulco.

Carmen on reception arranged the perfect room for us. We had a wonderful stay, enjoying the restaurant and pool. I even had a massage after breakfast for a very reasonable price.

Great food, great service

We love staying at this hotel when we visit Huatulco. The friendly helpful staff really do make a difference. The room was clean and comfortable, as always. And it's just a short taxi ride away from Santa Cruz and all the other wonderful beaches of Huatulco.

overbooking!!

when our family got to the hotel, they told me that they have overbooked...and change to smaller room - from king size to queen size. actually, here in huatulco, it seems like overbooking is not surprising matter at all!! When we arrived at huatulco airport, Hertz (car rental company) totally neglected my reservation. They told me that they had no cars at all!! Instead, they suggested me to use other rental company. Avis (just beside Hertz) proposed me ten times more expensive than the price that I previously booked at Hertz. I had no choice but to use taxi, but the cost to Crucecita is 390 pesos!!!

Quick stay - glad we stayed here.

We only needed the room for one short night - arrived late and left early. It was a nice clean room. The air conditioning did not works as well as we hoped, but overall a good place. The pool looked nice and the employees were very nice as well.

Bad Western

Room had a very bad smell coming out from the washroom. I reported to the front desk, woman at the phone promised to fix it, nothing happen. One morning I couldn't take a shower due to a fix somewhere else, no notification and took all day to finish the job. Poor wifi and service at the restaurant really slow.

Very bad smell coming out from the bathroom, I reported at the front desk, they promise it'll be fix but nothing changed, finally before my last night they called offering a change of room, too late! WiFi failed, again I reported and not fix, service at the restaurant to slow only two persons attending the all place I have to eat in pauses. Very disappoint considering is a hotel belonging to a big chain.

Really wonderful staff, good location, tasty food

We really enjoyed eating in the restaurant. I ordered a steak and my wife chose from the vegetarian options (there's a really good selection). She loved the stuffed mushrooms with cheese. The staff helped arrange a late checkout which really helped our timing for heading to the airport, overall a really relaxing experience.

Mexican style hotel.

Lovely old hotel. No complaints. Short walk to beach, walkable to town. Safe, clean, quiet. Vegetarian restaurant.

Nice Stay

This is a nice property, very well kept. It covers all the bases, with comfortable beds, good A/C, a good restaurant (the vegetarian restaurant is closed), a small pool on site, and a nice beach club on Playa Chahue a few minutes away. It was close to the dive shop I used, which was a bonus. It's handy to have the Super Che across the street. I enjoyed walking into La Crucecita (10-15 min), but everything else is a taxi ride. The staff was great. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

Close to the Beach, Grocery Store and Restaurants.

The hotel Staff was very nice and most of them spoke a little English. The hotel and rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool was very nice with warm water. Only about 10-15 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping areas. The best thing about the hotel was the proximity to Super Che (large grocery store). Only about a 2-3 minute walk. Right across the street. Super Che, apart from groceries, also has beach towels, bathing suits, coolers, etc. If you need beach supplies that would be the place to go.

Posada Chahue

Very clean hotel, excellent staff & service. Restaurant food is so so. A few small things in the room need fixing. A few problems with WiFi, in the beginning. Great atmosphere & accommodations.

Great room for the price

I happened upon the Best Western Posada Chahue online after a mid-vacation change in plans caused me to need a hotel in Huatulco for a night. I had stayed at a resort down the road for the previous few nights, and while the Best Western isn't as luxurious as an all-inclusive, it was remarkably nice for the money. The pool area is pretty and well-kept, the rooms are nice and comfortable, and the attached restaurant serves vegetarian dishes. Tofu in Mexico??? It was delicious. The staff was also very helpful, allowing me to check-in early and helping me with the safe. And all for less than $70/night. Only downside was the complimentary shuttle to the airport listed online was not complimentary. It was $150 pesos.

We went during high season in dec 2012: stayed for one night becuase they were totally booked. Gavve us option to stay in king room or double queen room. No elevator but bell man helped carry up our bags. Nice pool and food on location. 50 Steps from supermarket. No ocean view. 10-15 min walking to beach

Good place for a weekend break

Great location. A short walk from the beach, right next to a large supermarket, and not so far from downtown either. We enjoyed the pool, room service and air conditioning. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in Huatulco for a short time and are looking for a good value hotel.

good, comfortable place for a couple of nights

The place was clean, nice pool-not outstanding-just what you would expect for a road hotel where you are just spending a night or two on your way to somewhere else. Very nice and helpfull bell boy "Quito" made our stay pleasant. He knew how to get to banks, restaurants, sight seeing etc.

2 nights at the Best Western

Airline changed our flight so we had to find a hotel for a couple of nights. Best Western Posada Chahue was perfect. Close to Super Che grocery store and one of the best restaurants in the area, L'Echalote. An easy walk to both Santa Cruz, La Crucecita and Chahue beach. Safe area. Our 2 bed suite was roomy. Staff was eager to help, just like everyone in the Huatulco area. On-site restaurant offered good food and good service. Free shuttle to airport. WiFi reception was excellent, but TV reception was awful, very staticky and only a few English stations; not a real problem for a couple of nights.

Would definitely return

Check-in was a breeze; requested a non-smoking room but they were on the first floor with no windows. So we moved to a smoking room with a very nice balcony. Rooms were spotlessly clean, beds a little firm but not too bad, sink is outside the bathroom. Shower always had good water pressure and hot water. It looked like it was brand new tile. It was very hot while we were there but the air conditioner kept the room cool. There is also a screen on the patio door if you want to keep the door open. Rooms come with 2 bottles of water every day; iron and ironing board and coffee maker. The pool is very small (perfect for children) with only several lounge chairs. There is a computer in the lobby you can use for a very small fee. Two restaurants are on the property, one of them is the only vegetarian restaurant in Huatulco. La Crucecita and Santa Cruz are a short cab ride away (20 pesos) but we walked to them every day (15 minutes). We like to eat at different places so we enjoyed being able to walk into town for breakfast and dinner every day. Food is very reasonable in town. Although this hotel is not on the beach, you can walk to Playa Chahue (10-15 minutes) and there are 2 beach clubs with restaurants, pools, and lounge chairs. The one on the right as you are looking at the ocean is free. You can also take a cab to any of the other beaches for a very reasonable price.

Real Mexican vacation

The hotel was comfortable and we were made to feel special. [...] was adept at his art and always gave us great ideas for beaches and restaurants and delighted with his creative drinks. The nearby beach club was a great place to chill although the short trips to snorkel in the bays was well worth it. What struck me most besides the friendliness of the inhabitants was the overall cleanliness of the whole area. We will return.

A "great " little hotel

I've booked an other hotel in the Huatulco downtown but when my friend and I we've arrived the hotel did not correspond at all to what is advertised on the website and magazines and reviewed by others travellers. Despite having paid the first night we left it immediately. We remembered the Best Western that was not in the center but not far, and relying on quality of the hotel chain we booked. When we arrived we heaved a sigh of relief. Not a large hotel but it is very nice, the rooms are big, super comfortable, clean, modern furnished with two double beds, air-conditioned quiet, LCD televisions with satellite channels, safe, minibar and 2 bottles of water free every day. The staff at reception is very kind and always available to provide information. Chaue beach is only 5 minutes on foot but in the water is not recommended to swim for strong waves and the whirlpools. The center of Huatulco can be reached on foot in 15 minutes or you can take a taxi and pay 20 pesos. Other beaches can be reached by taxi paying 40 to 54 pesos depending on distance. I do not recommend to include a continental breakfast consisting of coffee or tea, orange juice and two slices of toast and jam, and for the price and the quality. In the room there is also a coffee maker with coffee and a bag of chamomile. The hotel also has a very good vegetarian restaurant with reasonable prices. In front of the hotel there's also a big supermarket where you can buy pastries,fruits and juices .

Nice Modest Hotel

This is a very nice modest hotel with a friendly staff.Relatively close to the beach and near the only supermarket in town.

Cleanest and next to Beach and Supermarket!

This Hotel was a bang for the buck! absolutely enjoyed the cleanliness and size of the rooms. Location was perfect. 3 min. from beach, supermarket across the street, VEGETARIAN restaurant in the hotel.

All was OK, except the the receptionist head (Antonio) whose treatment was distant and incorrect.

Clean and nice

Very nice hotel, small, clean and close to downtown and beaches. The food could be better, more options for breakfast would be nice. The staff was great, nice but not overwhelming. The only bad thing is that the hotel does not have elevator, so if you need it is not a good option. A jacuzzi would be a good idea after those long walks...

"Wonderful place will go back again"

This hotel is wonderful. Only having 20 rooms it was so nice and quiet and clean. The staff is friendly. Hector the manager is very nice. The restaurant food was wonderful. I would highly recommend this. The only small thing wrong was the fitness room was small and not air conditioned but that was a very minor detail.

Great price,location.

The hotel was centrally located. We walk everywhere and were able to from here. Walked into town in the evening and an easy taxi back. Great little pool area with bar and restraunt. Beaches in Huatulco and spread far apart but could walk to Bahia Chahue The marina was also walkable with cafes, beach and cruise ship terminal.

Muy buen servicio y atenciones; las habitaciones cómodas y limpias. El personal atento. Solo falto que tuvieran una maquina de hielo, la que sería agradable como servicio al huesped.

Es muy agradable los espacios exteriores y de recreación, amplios horarios en alberca, restaurante y bar, el cuarto es muy amplio, le falta un poco de comodidad a la cama pero en general fue muy buena experiencia y el precio muy adecuado, me encantó que todos los espacios estuvieran dentro del hotel ya que fue muy fácil obtener el desayuno, comida y cena y además poder ir a tomar un trago sin salir del edificio

El vallet parking muy atento y estacionó el coche y los entrego sin problemas

Me gusto que estaba todo limpio, seguro y muy tranquilo. No me gusto que en la habitación 111 no había agua caliente, y se tenia que estar avisando constantemente a recepción para que checaran el problema.

Bonito y tranquilo

Esta muy bonito y tranquilo el lugar, con buena ubicación, la alberca limpia y el agua templada, el único detalle fue que no tiene mucho estacionamiento solo pocos cajones que quedan en la calle y la precion en la regadera era muy poca y el agua no muy caliente pero de ahí en más excelente lugar si vuelvo
