Beautiful hotel but no spa access and small room
I booked this hotel based on it having a pool to relax in only to find out that to access the "spa" it was an extra €30-40, and even upon finding that out, we still went to go ahead with it, only to head down to the spa and find no-one there and the spa locked up. Very disappointed. The room I got was also very small. Pro's were a great looking lobby and superb location for central Turin, literally opposite the main train station. Long way from Juventus Stadium but possible by public transpot (45min-1hr).
A Jewel just steps away from Torino Porta Nouva
Excellent location with outstanding service make this hotel a top choice for any traveler. Centrally located and just some steps from the Torino PN train station. Congratulations to the front desk staff for their excellent customer service and professionalism.
The place is fantastic and so is the stuff. You will be amazingly welcomed. The issue was the hotel was under renovation and it caused a lot of noise in the morning while I was trying to sleep. Also, the spa area seems to be a common area for everyone. It is not! If you want the o use the hot tub, it is a spa service with extra costs involved.
Nice hotel that’s close to the train station and city center. Most attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The room we were in was facing the street and you could hear lots of street noise and the tram coming by, not ideal if you’re a light sleeper. We tried to change rooms but it could not be accommodated. In any case, we managed just fine. Overall, I would recommend this hotel with the above caveat.
Best hotel ever. Thank you Francesco for great service and for the upgrade. Best,
Room on 5th floor was in the roof. Restricted head height in parts. Air con I could not make work at all and room far too hot. The 'bath shower' was a strange jacuzzi which would not fill with water, therefore no bath and only had a hand held shower. Therefore not really a shower either. No restaurant on site. Parking very difficult, I went to underground parking at the train station which is probably not the safest place to be late at night I imagine. Breakfast OK, nothing to get excited about.
Very clean. Reasonable price
Excellent stay with great service from all the staff. Very comfortable room Will definitely return
Great front desk. Lovely hotel
Nice spot, especially for a solo traveller stopping quickly.
The room was really nice including a great bathroom area. Everyone is super friendly from the owner down to the staff. Breakfast is excellent and freshly made every day. This hotel is our stay every time we come to Torino.
The property is nice, breakfast is good for starting the day full, our room was big enough for a family of four including a 13 and 11 year old kids. I love the size of the shower too! The room was nice and newer. The hotel is literally across the street from the train station. Turin in general, does not seem to be a really walkable city unlike Rome and Florence.
Best Western Turin
Enjoyed my stay at Best Western. It was very convienent to the Porto Nuovo train station.
Excellent service and great breakfast
Rooms are spotless clean and staff are excellent. Cannot fault anything about this hotel
The staff members at reception were incredibly welcoming and polite. The hotel is across the street from the station which is great. The tea and coffee packets were expired so I assumed they hadn’t been replenished in awhile so that would be my only suggestion.
Bad experience
It’s definitely not a 4 stars hotel, the pics looks much better than the reality. Small bed, not enough towels. Air conditioning not working. So much noise.
Nice
Great location, across the street from Porta Nuova train station. Property was clean and upgraded, staff all helpful and kind. Breakfast was nice with the basics. The surrounding area was a little gritty, but only a short walk to the major attractions.
Lovely hotel great location
High quality hotel
Really top-notch hotel only moments from the station. Clean, welcoming and great breakfasts!
nice stay, nice hotel, good service by people, but no minibar, no kitchen (to order to bring in the room), and food distributor was very poor.
A treat in Turin
I would give the Hotel Genova an excellent review. My room was spacious , the bath room smalll but with everything inducing a shower. The reception staff were absolutely first rate, very helpful. and the breakfast buffet was really good, all options carefully displayed, and the service personnel were also very helpful
Good location - tourist attractions and good restaurants within easy walking distance. Quiet. Very helpful staff. Breakfast acceptable but not outstanding - space in breakfast area rather limited.
Clean hotel. Value for money is questionalble
The hotel is old but clean. It does not impress from the reception but the rooms are nice and the hotel is clean.
When in Turin...
The hotel staff are extremely professional, the room was clean and the local area was safe. Turin lacks international quality hotels so for Turin this Hotel is a good standard
Great hotel
Great hotel, great service, large rooms, tiny gym!
Close to rail and bus to airport,My favourite in Turin now.
Lovely hotel, with a wonderful staff. Our room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The location was perfect. Literally across the street from Porta Nuova station, down the street is a lovely coffee shop, a couple blocks away is a bakery pastry shop. I would definitely stay again.
Need valet parking and restaurant. Location is excellent.
strange encounter with a hotel room
I booked with the hotel to be close to the train station for an early morning flight to Paris (quick train to the airport). I had been traveling extensively all week and was tired. First thing I noticed was a very dusty smell. I looked out to the balcony and saw several open bags of some sort of plaster. The air conditioner control was not working. When I went to shower, I realized that the bathroom had not been finished. The frame around the window had exposed lumber and nails. the junctions of walls and pillars had exposed insulation. When I showered, the air filled with the smell of plaster dust. I would have complained, but had the impression that I, a single woman traveler, was not considered important. There are other clues I got for this thought, but, frankly, I was too tired to care. (The hotel "guidebook does offer a "woman's care package) but the clerk wasn't sure.)
Paid way to much for too little
The rooms were shabby and there were no natural fiber sheets blankets or pillows. There was no fan to love the air around and opening the window was not an option for noise and cold
Location
Central hotel near station
Arrived at BW Genova by bus from airport. Really easy trip as you get off bus and go around the corner and the hotel sign can be seen. Arrived mid morning but our room was ready so we could go straight in Very clean, a bit dated, but ideal for a city break. Good size for. Twin room. Really high ceilings and good clean bathroom which had a shower not a bath - perfect for us On going out it was advised to leave keys at reception. And we did this. Staff always recognised us on our return. Nice outside courtyard to sit out in if wanted Television had sky and you could watch shows in sir original language so good for kids etc
Hotel is well located and close by main attractions
Well located hotel
The staff at this hotel are extremely helpful and seemed to try extremely hard to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. They helped us with restaurant recommendations and directions. They were always friendly and took the time to ask us whether we were enjoying our stay. Breakfast was also good - a great variety of different foods. We liked the hotel bar too where we sampled some of the cocktails. All in all a great stay and I would certainly choose this hotel again.
I loved it! Elegant, terrific bkfast, great service on all accounts and great price! Conveniently located across the street from the RR station and a pleasant walk to all places of interest. Very polite personnel, too!
Great location and great staff
I stayed at the hotel in early July for 3 nights on a work trip. The hotel is in a great location - just opposite the main train station at Puerta Nova. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful - they were happy to provide me with any information I needed. The rooms were spacious and cleaned every day. The room was quiet. Breakfast was included and there was a lovely selection each morning. The spa is clearly new and is very nice. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in a central location in Turin. Very good value for money.
Great hotel in walking distance visitors Turin
Well located; staff were courteous, welcoming and very helpful; breakfast buffet a bargain. Rooms were clean and well appointed Parking is complementary Walking distance of museums, sights, squares, shopping and dining; across from train station
Nice, clean hotel right next to porta nuova
Nice, clean hotel right next to porta nuova and easy walking distance to most everything in the city. The concierge staff was extremely nice and helpful, the room was small but had everything we needed and was very comfortable. There is a spa connected to the hotel which i used most days for the gym, the equipment isn't anything crazy but it worked great for me! The only drawback is the AC wasn't very good so it tended to get hot in the room at night. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing a good easy place to stay!
The hotel is very nice and in a good location. The rooms are very, very small. But, that was the only negative.
Lovely staff, dated hotel.
The staff are lovely. The hotel is a bit dated and the hairdryer was absolutely useless. Aircon only heated, even when on cool mode. Quite noisy as it's so close to train station/trams/buses.
Spa average services. Food room service average also. Test was great
Nice hotel but not friendly to drivers.
Hotel only has 4 spaces on side street. Parking across street at train station. Hotel itself excellent, breakfast mediocre. Staff excellent. Room very nice a bit small. Central location.
Lovely hotel, great location
This hotel is in the perfect location, close to the train station and the perfect distance walk to everything worth seeing in the city! Hotel staff was wonderful and I loved the spa! Only complaint is that I got a smoking room and didn't realize it so it smelled a little like stale smoke covered up with air freshener, so just double check your reservation or when you arrive that you will have a non-smoking room. I was a single traveler and felt very safe in this location walking alone to nearby restaurants.
Poor quality of service
Nobody can imagine how much I regret my time at that hotel. The only good thing over there was the convenient location. It was just crossing the street from the train station. The first issue was that our passports were retained for many hours. According with the clerk, he couldn't make copies that night (?), so we must wait until next morning. The second issue was that Mr. Renato (who was on charge on December 28), tried to put us out from that hotel, that day. According to him, I changed my reservation to leave the hotel on December 28. And any way, there were not an available room for us after that day. I tried to explain to him that something was wrong with this information, but he shut me up telling that I was lying. I showed my print out to him but he decided ignore it because "it is just a paper, and it does not mean anything to me". After more than 20 minutes waiting for him because he was 'really busy', he said I must check my reservation on the computer. I was SURE that I didn't change my reservation. He turned on a computer on the lobby where I could proved to him he was wrong. I told him he owes me an apology. Just he tried to do it, but not too hard. He yelled me many times in front of more customers. He was rude, and unprofessional. Next day, during out check out, he say "I'm sorry for yesterday. Let me get you a souvenir as an apology". It was an USB memory. Nothing will give pay me back the peace of mind that he took abruptly the prior day.
Would stay again
Loved it. We stayed for 2 nights and used the spa services. The room was great and breakfast amazing (4eur pp!!)
Nice hotel close to city centre
Good amenities snd a very good friendly desk staff. Excellent breakfast and a nice courtyard to relax in
Excellent Stay
Attentive yet non-intrusive staff. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. There were three large windows (and I was in a lower priced room) that could be opened wide - two of them onto small balconies. The hotel has a very European feel to it despite being a "Best Western" - I was pleasantly surprised. Every thing was within walking distance. The hotel staff were all kind and courteous.
Central hotel
Well positioned hotel in good area, convenient for sights
Very happy...excellent breakfast at very reasonable rate...will return
Watch out for pick pockets!
The hotel, the staff and the breakfast were all great. Eventhough, the hotel is well located in the historical town, watch out for pick-pockets, they may attack you when you least expect it!
Great hotel to stay
Easy hotel, helpful and very cordial staff. Great location.
Great locatipn close to train staton and Paseo de Roma.
Great location close to train station and Paseo de Roma.
Great stay, thank you.
Nice clean hotel
Book a room for family. Very spacious and clean. Close to shopping and restaurant.
Nice hotel with convenient location but noisey.
Very convenient to metro/ train station. Rooms are smallish but they actually have king-sized beds. Front desk staff were a bit abrupt and even confronted my daughter when she walked into the lobby demanding to see her key ( there is only one key per room and we were a party of three). They said they do that of every guest but no one else in our group was ever asked. Also cable car and train traffic noise until about midnight.
charming hotel
wonderful staff, so kind and friendly. clean, elegant hotel. my one complaint was the constant background music in all the public rooms; often too loud for my comfort.
We spent our last two nights in Torino at the Best Western Genova. Close to train station and bus top but still quiet. Beautiful room with gorgeous ceiling artwork. Coffee and tea available in room. Clean, comfortable beds. Good water pressure in the shower which tends to be "unreliable" throughout Europe so this was a pleasant surprise. Friendly and helpful staff with great restaurant recommendations. Nice bar in lobby. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely consider staying here again.
Perfect location, helpful staff, clean rooms
Perfect location. Close to subway and train. The bus from airport stops 50 meters from the hotel, making it extremely convenient to get to the airport. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to assist us any time we asked any questions or needed something.
Ideal business hotel
They put me in a smoking room first even though I had asked him for a non-smoking, so I had to go through the hassle of carrying the luggage up and down twice to ask for another room! Apart from that, the hotel, the architecture, and location is all great!
A nice place to stay.
The hotel desk staff were friendly and helpful, especially regarding tourist sights. The hotel is well-kept and comfortable, with a good breakfast.
Nice hotel close to Torino Porta Nuova station
Very close to Porta Nuova Station so very convenient for train travel. Comfortable and clean room. breakfast generous and varied. Staff curteous and helpful.
Nice hotel in Turin
Easy check in, good room with huge , comfortable bed and an exercise bike, wi fi connection, easy access to some of the city's main attractions; only downside was no hotel parking.
Good place to stay near Turin's main train station
Hotel is old but has been done up nicely, very pleasant stay.
Needed a simple overnight stay prior to catching a train to Venice. Really close to train station in the morning. Facilities excellent.
Excellent hotel in Torino city center
Room was spotless! Facilities were great. Breakfast was delicious. Totally satisfied.
Great, friendly hotel in centre of Turin
Brilliant! Staff couldn't be friendlier and all speak good English. Breakfast buffet but no evening facilities however the hotel is right in the centre of Turin with cafes and restaurants all around and within a minute's walk.
Lovely friendly hotel
Location excellent, historical centre within minutes walking. Right opposite station, but no noise when windows shut, very hard to find in car without Sat Nav. Local restaurants good value, excellent food. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, room comfortable and clean pillows a bit hard.
Top Notch Hotel
If grading were allocated solely on friendliness of staff and cleanliness this hotel would be 5 star.
great hotel, much more than 3 stars
I only stayed for a night but the whole experience feels very upscale. The concierge (Leonardo) is the kind of person you expect at a luxury 5 star hotel. He will provide directions, recommend places and make reservations for you. From the moment I entered the hotel it feels like much more than 3 stars. The hotel is beautiful. The room was fantastic and it feels like a luxury suite. The bathroom is very nice. Wifi is free and works very well. The free breakfast is more than abundant and delicious. The property is located adjacent to Turin main train terminal (that is why I stayed there because we traveled by train) and public transport runs just across the street. If you decide to walk, it is a very nice 10 minute walk to the Main Street and Piazza Castello. There are very good restaurants nearby (we eat at Gran Carlo's, fantastic place). I loved staying at this hotel and will not hesitate to stay there again. For me this hotel deserves another star.
Good value, great location
The room was a bit small, but not too small. Good internet connectivity and speed. No bar, but plenty of options in the vicinity. A short walk to Piazza San Carlo and other prime spots. Overall a nice hotel in a great location at a decent price. I will stay here again.
Turin in March
Good central location, friendly well run hotel
Fair money Value
Great location, good services, not so good the room location, first floor beside the reception, but wasnt noicy at all, fair value for the Price of the room.
Elegant surroundings close to Nuova Station
We only had one night at Genova Hotel and I wished we stayed longer. The rooms were generous sizes, and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was wonderful, should have been in a House and Garden magazine. Bit generous two head shower, lots of room to spread our stuff around, lovely tiling. The rest of the rooms were well sized, bedroom was comfortable and quiet with good spaces to put luggage, reception room comfortable, seats, and even had an original huge marble fireplace in the corner of the room Breakfast is so good, everything you would want and some stuff like cake that you didn't know you needed, but it turns out that cake and coffee is a great breakfast. Really like the large selection of stewed fruit and yoghurt. The only problem we had with the Hotel, was finding it. We booked it through Expedia, and it was called Best Western Genova Hotel. The location is right beside Nuova railway station so logically we thought it would be easy to find. This is not true, the signage on the Hotel is very discreet, and only says Genova Hotel. We were looking for Best Western so kept on walking. Later we found that there is a small sign saying Best Western.
Perfect location
I knew nothing of this hotel nor Torino. It was chosen because of the reviews. Arriving from paris by train we were a short taxi ride from Porta Sousa station to Porta Nouva. Immediate reaction was wow we have chosen well. Perfectly professional front desk staff. Carrying our bags to our 4th floor room wasa relief. An extremely well appointed double bedroom was as comfortable as it looked. Breakfast was included in our package and itwas so good. Lingering for an hour we enjoyed sampling just about all the selection. Breakfast room staff were polite and efficient. Theu spoke no english but then i didn't speak any Italian. Our experience was extremely good and should we return to torino, would have no hesitation in returning to Hotel Genova.
Elegant home away
This is the second time that we have stayed here and it was just as nice as the first time.
City break
My wife and I had a very comfortable stay in the Genova Hotel in Turin. I often go to Turin on business and always stay at that hotel because it's friendly, comfortable and clean.
Some renovation going on, but no real disturbance
Ideal location to visit the center of Torino. Hotel has no parking but there are parking solutions a couple of streets further.
Torino Visit
We had 2 nights in Hotel Genoa. Location is across the road from main railway station but window coverings (double glazed shutter) meant we didn't really have dramas with noise. The parking they broadcast on the website is wrong. It is not on site it is 4 blocks walking away. The cost is 25 Euros per night which increases the cost of the per night substantially. It is about a 20 minute walk into the main square which we enjoyed. Wellness centre in the basement of the hotel was excellent and I would recommend this to anyone as a way to relax after a hard day of sightseeing. Breakfast selection was good.
Room Was Nice but the air condition did not work because of the location under a table... The parking Was far from the Hotel and cost 25 euro pr night.. Very Nice people at the reseption. Near the train station and the people who often surrond such places.. Near to the center and restaurants.
Lovely hotel, and staff really made me feel welcom
Was really a lovely hotel, and the rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. I stayed there two seperate nights, and the first night was good, however the only down side, and the only reason I would mark it down, is that Trams run at the front of the building, where I was situated the second night, and are extreamly noisy up till midnight. I had to open the windows as the air conditioning did not seem to work, and this made it impossible to get to sleep.
Excellent for a quick stop in Turin
Perfect location - literally across st. from the train station. About a 10 minute walk or 5 minute subway to the center of town. Hotel is very clean, excellently priced.
Helpful staff
Front of desk very helpful and excellent advise and good restaurant recommendations.
Pleasant surprise!
I was happy to discover that the Hotel Genova is right across from the train station and just a few blocks from the center of Torino. I could not have been happier with the sumptuous buffet breakfast, the convenient use of a computer near the lobby, and the professional service by front desk staff. I would have preferred not to have had a ground-floor room on the front of the building, however. The only problem with my room was that the bathroom shower doors did not keep the water inside the shower, so the floor flooded every time I used the shower. That was aggravating since I needed to mop up the water with towels and bath mat so that it would not pour into the room. Otherwise, all was well. Room had a tea tray, which was a welcome find in Italy.
Very nice very quiet. Only bad thing is Internet did not work in room. Had to go to lobby. Only complaint
Quaint, clean and central
The staff was lovely! The room was well appointed and in a great location as it is so close to the train station. The only challenge was I found the room too warm. I will definitely stay here again.
Nice choice for the price!
Great location close to the metro, Staff very helpful, wonderful facilities and instalations: very tasty breakfast, good spa and wonderful room.
Great choice for business trip
We chose the hotel for its location to Puorto Nouvo rail station which was almost opposite. The hotel was an easy walk from shops and a large variety of excellent restaurants. Initially I was given a single room however when I pointed out that I had booked a double for sole use, they instantly took me to a beautifully appointed room with large bathroom and balcony. The breakfast which was included was excellent with a huge variety of items to choose from. I would choose to stay here next time I am in Turin.
Convenient, great service
I stayed in a single room, which was small but comfortable. The only issue with my room is that the shower head did not stay up, so I had to hold it by hand. If it had been fixed it would have been a good shower though. The best thing about the hotel was the service - both reception staff went out of their way to make sure that I had a happy and smooth stay. Would definitely stay here for business again.
Good service, iffy area
We were greeted with a friendly receptionist, the room was interesting with ornate paintings and a balcony!! I couldn't sleep cvery well with the noise and rumble of the trams outside.
Second Time Just as Good as the First
Well I Like the Location so Much that My Return Visit to Italy I stay here again... The First Time I could NOT Boil an Egg during Breakfast...This time I DID :) So Happy with myself... This Hotel is AWESOME The Main Train Station is Across the Street with No NOISE at All... The Front Desk was Amazing again with all of my few Silly Questions... The Room and Bed Comfy There well Be a Third Time...As This is My HOTEL of Choice Now when I stay in Tornio :)
Convenient location
Convent location is the best I can say. Would not choose on any future trips.
Would stay again
We had a great stay at this hotel. We had several meetings around the city but being located near the main central station made navigating easy. The area is a bit rough around the edges, as with most areas near central stations in Italy however we still felt safe. The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. If you are driving there is a third party garage around the corner which has a very friendly man running it. Our room was large and spotless. Only downside was they were having troubles with the hot water system the morning of our departure so we had a cold shower. It still didn't impact our stay and will stay again next time we visit the city.

The reception desk staff were amazingly helpful at all times! High ceilings, spacious bathroom made this double bedroom together with the fabulous spa a really great to stay in this hotel!
