DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, SABE YOUR MONEY!!!!! I rented the jacuzzi suite for a romantic getaway for $420 they pushed our checkin back half an hour because they were behind to clean. If i could give the cleanliness a negative score I would. Garbage piled up high in the corners of the elevator (food wrappers, old food, dirt) when we arrived at our floor things got worse. The floors were stained and sticky garbage was piled up outside every room and remained there until we checked out. There were people napping in the hallways leaving more garbage thrown about. Aside from this one of the more alarming sights was a large hvac grate in the ceiling dripping black mold down the wall. In fact the black mold could be smelled the second the elevator doors opened. The room was horrible not even the bare minimum of cleaning was done. Drawer next to the bed was full of hair ashes and marijuana pieces. The jacuzzi tub was broken the seal pushed from the handle. The tub itself covered in sticky red stuff and had hairs all over it. To make matters worse it appeared that the people napping in the hallways enjoy a nice game of pounding on doors and sprinting down the hall till 3am over and over again. So all in all this has been the WORST experience ive ever had at a hotel, if youre looking for sleepless nights a good chance of getting sick from mold and the cleanliness of a stable this os the hotel for you. Oh did I mention this wonderful one night stay cost $420 pictures will be posted
Really nice hotel, good location
Nice stay
Stayed for a show, easy parking and friendly staff. Room was clean
Great hotel for a great price!
We really enjoyed our stay at Best Western on the Avenue. The rating was only a 2 or 2.5 star, but we found it to be totally acceptable. The room was spotless and the breakfast offered in the morning was very nice. I'd stay here again in an instant!
Fantastic breakfast & staff
Dirty
It was very good. Comfortable, clean, people were kind and helpful. Bf food was very good.
We had a pleasant stay at Best Western in the Avenue. The reception staff were both kind and professional, setting a welcoming tone from the start. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and equipped with newer amenities, offering a comfortable and modern experience. Overall, it was a great choice to stay on New Year’s Eve.
Good sized room with an extra chair and a desk w/chair. Lots of pillows. Small fridge, microwave and a big TV. A lot of free parking. The breakfast was fantastic.
The hotel is basic. They could do a better job cleaning.
Staff was excellent. Lady at front desk moved her car so we can park she was very helpful. Rooms were a bit dated and sink was at foot of bed instead of in bathroom. Very poor lighting couldn’t see anything getting ready. Breakfast was decent.
Great location - staff are lovely - free parking
Great room configurations. Thin bed comforter but warm rooms. Easy checkin and checkout. Welcoming staff. Limited/tight parking.
Everyone of the staff was helpful and attentive. It was my best experience at a best Western.
Very nice staff, let us check in early. Room was clean and great for a night in Buffalo.
One of my go-tos in downtown Buffalo
I really enjoy this hotel and have stated many times. It seems like they’re starting to skimp on the complimentary toiletries… I was only given one bar of soap to be shared between the sink and the shower so I washed my body with shampoo… besides that everything was element per usual!
Friendky customer service. Good vslue for money. Great location
The breakfast was very good and fresh Room is clean Bathroom isn't the good Overall I recommend it for travelers
great food
excellent coffee and breakfast! broken closet door was not fixed when asked.
Check in was a problem. Arrived at 1:30PM (check in is at 3:00PM). Was assured the room would be ready at 3:00PM. Came back at around 4:30PM and the room still had not been cleaned from the previous guest. Finally, was able to access the room around 5:30PM - very disappointing. On the first night, the occupants of the next door room were very loud and had to complaint to the front desk - it was then resolved. Other than those two issues, the stay was fine - consistent with previous stays at the property.
No parking
Could use some upgrades and some easy cosmetic work, such as repainting the peeling paint in the closet.
Stayed here for Bill's game. Easy to get to hotel. Easy trip to stadium. Clean and comfortable. Families note there is door for toilet and shower area only which is tight to change in if privacy required.
This is as conveniently located. The staff was great! The pillows were too big and uncomfortable. The rest was great!
Excellent location, easy access to medical school and Gabriels Gate, faughter loved the bird in the lobby
Not comfortable
The lighting in my room was very dim and made my room gloomy. My bed was also uncomfortable.
My GPS had me in the neighborhood but the direction I came from there was a tree that partially blocked my view. I'm sure the people behind weren't happy when I suddenly went left to turn into the parking lot. A problem with the TV. It worked but it took some time for me to figure it out. How to bring up the menu but not initially realizing you can't select the channel you want by scrolling thru the menu. You need to enter the channel number when you see what channel you want. Also, the channel listing in the guide book provided did not match what came up on the TV.
We wanted accommodations close to Mother's restaurant. Would stay again when in town.
Impressed
I was so relieved that we could stay in a clean and safe place that made sure we were ok.
location good
Smoke alarm went off while taking a shower, otherwise absolutely amazing!
They have a parrot in the lobby!! Very friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone.
Would recommend to anyone
Loved this hotel. Loved the walk in shower! Easy check in, friendly staff, clean hotel. Was an easy quick walk to Anchor Bar. Would stay here again.
Room was nice. Bathrooms were weird. Shower didn’t have a door or fan so the smoke alarm kept going off while showering. Overall nice hotel. Front desk staff was amazing!
Great location. Good value. The room and hotel was a bit musty. They may have had a humidity issue or water leak. The front desk staff was great. The gentleman at breakfast was great as well (Troy). He asked about our stay, we spoke of many things and here recommended an oyster house in Toronto. We went. Great place.
We loved all the large, historic homes along Delaware Avenue. The hotel was close to restaurants and tourist sights. We enjoyed seeing the African grey parrot each day and trying to get her to talk to us. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Actually, Buffalo is a wonderful city - perfect size, no significant traffic, amazing art museum, philharmonic, & near Niagara Falls.
Ot was a nice place to stay .clean. free breakfast nice set up.
I think our stay would have been okay except for one big problem. The front desk gave a group of 3 or 4 people the key to our room when we were out to dinner. These people went into our room and rummaged around apparently looking for money and valuables. Fortunately we left none in the room. They moved things around the room and messed with things in our suitcases. They even took some off our things and weirdly put them in the shower. The front desk ran the video from outside my room and we could see the people going into our room. The front desk guy remembered giving them the key. These people were actually put in another room. We don't think anything was actually stolen, but the violation of our room left us unsettled and anxious staying there. The front desk guy refused to come into our room and look at what was done to our room. We didn't get an apology or any offer of compensation. We paid good money for a place we couldn't trust, feel safe or enjoy.
All the staff we interacted with were super friendly and made our stay comfortable! Best part of this hotel was definitely the delicious breakfast and the company of their pet bird, Simba😁
Great location. Staff very helpful. Free parking. I would have liked a swimming pool but the gym is well equipped. Very close to ďining,
Nice part of Buffalo
It was a good place to stay with a very good staff. Easy free parking and several nice restaurants nearby.
Perfect!
This was a perfect 2 night stay! Fabulous location, spacious room, clean, great breakfast with hot and cold options, free parking in lot, and the staff was the best! They were so very friendly and helpful! They kept my bike locked up and retrieved it for me multiple times. The parrot, Simba, in the lobby was a sweet bonus.
Loved it
Great people and great room, very impressed and will be staying here again
Good
Everything was good and ready and charged me what I was quoted for
No easy parking …. Lot was full .. need to park in the opposite
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent. Rooms were cleaned and big enough for my family of 4. We would definitely stay again
Great location, comfy beds, good breakfast, easy parking. All in all a good stay.
Safe, staff was accommodating and close to lots of food options.
Checked in and the property and our room smelt like pot. We left and asked for a refund, the GM was rude and was trying to have us stay. Even asked what other hotel we were going to. None of his business, and don’t get into a debate with me at 1pm with two sleeping kids in hand.
Complimentary breakfast bar had a lot of options. We were impressed with the spread. Beds were comfortable and the staff was very hospitable. Shout out to Simba the bird! Happy Birthday!
Stay was pleasant, staff was friendly, pretty good breakfast and free parking.
Came for my bar exam. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly great. And the room itself was nice too. Would definitely recommend.
Staff are excellent and helpful. Property in desperate need of a make over
Putting the BEST in Best Western
The ownership of this hotel really shines through. They didn't have to go the extra mile, but they really did. The manager, the entire staff - it's unique to see so much pride and enthusiasm across a hotel staff these days.
Nice hotel, good price
Great place to stay
Great sleep and nice choice at breakfast, the staff were lovely. And the parking and location was just what we needed. Great place to stay for a quick visit to Buffalo and Niagara . Also really close to the Anchor for fantastic wings
Recently updated property was clean, quiet and in a convenient location. Very nice free breakfast.
not easy parking
Not for me
The beds were hard as a rock. There was so much noise. The room felt so humid no matter how high yoi turned the air on. A lot of sketchy people checking in.
Overall the room seemed clean but a small part near the wall was missed. I told the front desk and it was taken care of immediately. The location was great for our needs. The breakfast was very good.
Great service and Breakfast
Great option compared to the last second checkout from the M Hotel scary experience we had late the first night that we arrived.
..
Very disappointed to find elevator broken upon our arrival and remained unavailable our entire stay
convenient and easy parking, clean and comfortable
Continue Great Hotel Service in Downtown Buffalo
I was visiting for just an overnight stay. I had some errands to run and I also needed to have a package delivered to me there. When I checked in, the package had been delivered and the staff stored it in a refrigerator for me. My room also had a refrigerator. The room was well-prepared. I loved the shower (with a bench) and the choice of soaps, etc. that were available. I was on the fifth floor which was very quiet. One odd thing is that when I opened the door of the room refrigerator, I found a bottle of beer and two bottles of alcoholic cider that a previous guest had left behind. I did not view this as a "big" deal at all. The air conditioner was good and, at night, it provided a little white noise that helped with sleep. I did make use of the morning breakfast and the scrambled eggs were hot and were accompanied by toast and jam. The hotel is walking distance to a number of bars and restaurants on Allen Street. I would strongly recommend the hotel for people with a similar need to my own.
The property itself was ok. Breakfast was fantastic. There was old food in the refrigerator. Shower pressure was great
Check in was 3pm on the dot no earlier. Had to wait at least a 1/2 hour in the lobby before checking in. However to be fair Check Out was at noon vs 11am. Leftover Pizza box from another guest found in the microwave. Melted ice Water found in the ice bucket. Floor had a few "sticky" spots on it. a bit gross and I should have taken pics and complained. Exterior of the building was half un-painted.
Business trip
Recently stayed 7 nights on a business trip. I've stayed at this hotel in the past and have always been very satisfied. The only exception in this trip was intermittent failure of the elevator, requiring guest to use the stairway which was inconvenient and somewhat challenging when carrying items to and from the room. The location of the hotel is very convenient and there are several restaurants within walking distance. Overall cleanliness of the facility and room was excellent and, in general, the front desk staff members were very friendly and accommodating.
Perfect for enjoying all Buffalo has to offer 👌
Best Western on the Avenue left me wanting. There was an art festival happening when I arrived, which closed most of the streets surrounding and used to access the hotel. This made it difficult to find the hotel if you are not familiar with the area. It would have been nice if the hotel had notified me ahead of time so that I could plan my navigation or arrival time around the festival, as Google Maps cannot reroute for temporary event road closures. There are only sheets and a thin blanket on the beds. Some of the sheets and pillowcases were stained. The bathroom door is a pocket door, but has sunk down to where it would not latch and lock when closed. There is a small walk-in shower, but no curtain nor wall to thoroughly prevent water from leaving the shower. There was a mini-fridge, but no microwave in the room, though there is one that is available for use on the first floor. The elevator was down for maintenance the majority of my 5 day stay. When it was available, it shook terribly. Pros to this hotel: the staff was friendly and there is a parrot in the lobby that adds a unique touch. While the hotel is a bit rundown, it was reasonably clean. The hotel is within walking distance of several cafes and venues, as well as access to public transport. A complimentary breakfast with a variety of food and beverage choices is provided each morning, as well as complimentary coffee throughout the day. I did not use the gym facility during my stay, but it looked well-equipped.
Just ok
I didn’t find out until the day before my stay, there was an arts festival happening that weekend, with road closures (all around the hotel). If I had known this, I would’ve booked somewhere else. I did call hotel the day before, and he tried giving me directions to find my way, but when I got into Buffalo, it proved to be more difficult. It took me an hour (after driving around) to find my way in. Once I got to the hotel, a bunch of hotel guests had lawn chairs in a circle of the parking lot, so my only choice was to park at the back of the lot. I did ask the girl at the front desk about it, and she asked them to move, but they were a little rude to me when I did get a place to park. By the time I got settled in it was 7:30. I asked if anywhere delivered, and she told me there was a pizza place that did. But it was an hour and a half before it was delivered. I tried going to the vending machines, while I waited, but the machine was down. In my bathroom, there was little hairs on the floor, which lead me to believe that floor wasn’t clean. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and I woke up with neck pain. There was a bird in the Lobby that squawked, and I was worried he would keep me up, but they covered him a little before 10. Overall it was an ok stay.
Good location
Did not realize that housekeeping was only done on request. Had a refrigerator that was noisy and the management replaced it promptly. No safe in room. Staff is friendly.
The room was clean, the beds comfortable, the fridge cold, the shower hot...what more do you need?
Perfect Location for Allentown
Hotel is perfect location for attending the Allentown Arts Festival. Hotel and room were beautiful and clean. Staff was wonderfully friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. Will definitely be staying here again.
The staff were super nice! The rooms were ALOT smaller than what was in the photos, just a bit deceiving. Overall it was a good place to stay for reasons we went (show at SheaStadium, and Niagara Falls
Kid at the front desk was great and accommodating.
Great location to go to events u got to be lucky to get parking inside though
Beautiful spot. Great walk home from a ball game
Great
Xxx
Need a shower curtain/door water sprays on floor, instructions on how to set alarm clock, better remote for tv, need 2 waffle makers (didn't know there was one, it was at very end and busy), and more pkg spaces. Loved the: hotel, staff, room facilities, shampoo/conditioner dispensers in shower. Biggest problem was I didn't like being woke up every hr from 11 pm thru 4:30 am. Someone opens up room door next to me/sometimes others in the floor then slams them shut. I also hear a humming motor noise sounds like a washer/dryer or treadmill. I asked for a quiet rm/location in my request but definitely didn’t get that. The staff told me Sunday am quietest flr/rm, but because I booked through Travelocity, hotel couldn't refund me. Left day early because I had 0 sleep sat/sun and had to get up at 6 am to do a charity run Sunday, didn't want to risk losing sleep again sun/mon to drive 2 hrs back to syr to my job.
Very friendly staff Clean room and facilities Good and accommodating breakfast
Not enough parking, had to park on the street. Beds extremely uncomfortable.
Would recommend
Great service, very clean and close to the venues I was going. The bed was a bit too firm for my liking, good breakfast options and easy check out.
Room was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable, staff were friendly. Breakfast was included and had a nice range of options such as scrambled eggs and varying meat, waffle bar and cereal, coffee and tea. Location is in walking distance of several good restaurants and bars, plus public transportation if you don't have a car. Parking lot is right out front but small. Cleaning staff did not appear to come in during my 3 night stay, which doesn't bother me. Instead they have a little sheet you can fill out and bring to the desk if you need more towels or coffee pods or what-have-you. Here is my only complaint- there are sheer curtains over the window only. The thicker curtains were only for decoration on the sides, framing the window, unable to be pulled closed because there was literally no track in the middle. Which meant the bright LED lights from the parking lot will be shining in your face all night. Terrible. Please, hotel owners, put the real curtains on a track that goes all the way across the window so we can pull them closed.
not much
Our second time here. Wonderful young man checked us in both times. Rooms are nice and comfy. Clean place and we will be back. Thanks!
The staff was very helpful and the hotel was pretty clean
Was good for what we needed
Location was perfect
The staff was friendly, but on the day when we checked out, we found the lock of the room actually didn't work. it seems to be locked, but you could push it open easily with one hand. Kind of scary in the hindsight.
good clean place conveniently located
We have stayed here 3 times over the years and have never been disappointed. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Clean rooms and nice beds. Easy walk to loads of restaurants and public transit.
Property is good. I feel not very safe regarding the location area and quite few choices available for dinner.
Very nice hotel- pretty, clean, convenient, nice staff. Will definitelyvreturn
Check in was easy and staff very friendly.
Overall I was pleased with my stay at the hotel. Several local eateries were within a comfortable walking distance. It was also close to the nearby performing arts center. I wish that the facility had more onsite parking for guest. On a busy weekend the small lot fills up quickly and a guest will have to find parking on the street. Hotel also seemed to be located in a reasonable safe neighborhood.
