Parking is a problem
hot water doesn’t working properly
Luv it
Very convenient. Near municipal parking. Friendly front desk!
Toilet and tv wasn't working. Clean room no faul smell
Stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. It was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was really good. It was also relatively quiet considering it’s right on the main road and the subway runs under it. But If you are staying in the area I would highly recommend but if you are travelling to manhattan it takes a long time on the train!
This is a hotel well past it's prime. It needs serious updating from the breakfast menu and facility to the rooms, the plumbing (hot water issures) TV system, and every thing else in between.
It was okay, comfortable but not great.
It took a little bit of time to clean up the vomit in the elevator. The morning I was leaving the first floor door to the stairs was locked. The hot water to the shower didn't last long. The hot water to the sink was hard to adjust and was extremely hot. The room was nice and the people for the most part were friendly.
Very friendly and very willing to help
truley a hidden gem
The staff is very helpful and friendly. They do the best with what they have. Location is ideal for restaurants, lounges, bars etc. The parking is tough but we got lucky with a spot across the street. There are pay to park lots in the area but they are not very close.
Nice and clean
Love it
We were next to a supply closet & people were going in & out of it making a lot of noise w my very late & very early
Very good and so clean and affordable
We try to check out early but they want to get money for rest of the stay and never helped. I had to deal with my own bank.
Dirty corridors, squeaky floors, noisy neighbors
No parking
Excellent clean property
Friendly and easy.
Convenient and friendly.
Okay. Could've been cleaner
Disappointed to say the least
Breakfast breakfast was lacking to say the least the bed was uncomfortable to say kind things about it and room service was so infrequent that it frustrated us unfortunately we had to make multiple requests and room service was typically done while we were in the room after 7 o’clock at night. The staff, however, was very friendly
Great location, plenty of restaurants ,stores and pubs. The room was very nice. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed it.
No more than a 2 or 3 star. Elevator is not reliable.
A quiet affordable place to stay besr the subway and local shopping
very nice hotel to stay
Breakfast was a mess (no water, no milk, no bread), from my room I could hear all the noises from other rooms and there was a small cockroach in the bathroom. Neighborhood was nice.
Disappointed in Bay Ridge
Easily the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever felt in a hotel. The fridge was broken, the heat barely worked, we were given the wrong room at first and then the room we wound up in was even worse. I can’t believe they have the nerve to charge as much as they do.
Clean send the staff is helpful.
hard beds, ripped old sheets, no winter blanket, skimpy breakfast hardly any food.
It was a nice 2 night stay. the property was well kept and clean. The only thing that we dont like was that they advertise that they can add a roller bed, but when we requested one thae lady told us that all the rooms are the same size , and there is no way to add a roller bed, the advertisement was deceiving.
Very disappointed. Halls, rugs, etc. all filthy.
It was a very safe neighborhood, and I loved the shopping area. What I did not like about it was that packing was very difficult. But overall, it was a good state.
Everything was accessible
This place was fine. It felt very run down and kind of dirty. The front desk staff tended to be curt and not inclined to help. Breakfast was variable. The room was okay, but not a great shower or water pressure. Although the location was kind of far both from downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan, we found it to be adequately accessible. Pricy for what you get.
Great stay in an otherwise aging hotel
Great hotel in a great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy to tell that the hotel's pretty old and starting to get outdated.
The hotel was dirty and smelly, beds were so uncomfortable and the heater was so loud! Would not recommend.
Perfect for Christmas decoration viewing @Dyker Ht
We went to go see Christmas lights at Dyker Heights, which was within walking distance. Perfect for our one night stay before flying out of LaGuardia
Clean, helpful staff.
Return Guest
It has been some time since I stayed here and I am glad that I came back. Under new ownership and worth the cost.
Clean room
A good place to stay, accessible to different places
Love going back home as I grew up in nearby Sunset Park and the location is perfect. Rooms were fine, old but clean and cleanliness is most important. TV did not work but otherwise the hotel suits its purpose.
Unfortunately very expensive for old shower towels, bed sheet and filthy carpet all around the entire hotel! Disgusting. I hate this hotel and for sure I will never get back!
A nice stay
We stay here often when visiting our daughter in Bay Ridge. The property is convenient but is a little run down and in need of upgrades. Lots of subway noise, vending machine noise, and a person who had their tv on all night in the room next to us. The bathroom had food stains on the walls but the toilet, sink and shower were all very clean.
December 2024
A good enough hotel if you're only stopping a few nights. Room was quite large and has a fridge and microwave. Coffee making facilities too. Carpets in the hall way need replacing, a few dirty marks. Overal a decent hotel and location to the subway is only 2-3 minutes walk away.
Stayed here as a cheaper option than staying in Central Manhattan area and it was very handy for the subway station (5 minutes walk max) for making regular trips into manhattan for sightseeing. There was plenty of options for food nearby too as well as shops. We stayed for 6 nights, and it was basic but did the job.Breakfast was included but not much in the way of options , but I did like that the 2 hot food options changed daily. Staff need more training. Apart from one guy we spoke to near the end of our stay , the other staff were not welcoming, in fact it felt as though they were annoyed to be interrupted to get checked in. Check in and out times are not accurate either as they have changed the check out time to 11am not 12 noon despite advertising on the booking confirmation 12 and the notice in their lift says 12 too. This wasn’t a problem as we worked around it, but we had to rearrange our schedule to make it work for us as we had planned on having the extra time with the room to leave our bags and explore the area more before leaving for our flight. We also had messaged the property in advance, through Expedia to enquire about storing our bags before check in as we would be arriving slightly early before 3pm and didn’t want to waste the day waiting around but I got no response but we were able to when we arrived at 2pm so we went away again and came back after 3 to still no room ready and 3 other groups with the same issue. Disappointing for special birthday.
It was great
Excellent
Quiet location close to subway stop. Would stay here again!
Linen was not changed or beds made for the 5 nights we stayed.
Was not what i anticipated. Facility needs updates for sure
The room had NO heat. We froze for two nights. The carpets are old and filthy. They don't remove garbage out of the foyer garbage can and all you can smell is garbage. The rooms were old, dirty, dusty and we slept with our clothes on. Parking is a disaster. We drove around every night for 1.5 hrs looking for a spot. Finally parked blocks away and then had to wake up at 7:30 am to move it. Would NOT recommend. Location is great and close to restaurants but everything closed at 10.
Front lobby & rooms were decently cleaned- however the floors were not there. There was a constant odor coming from the carpets that smelt like sewage. The smell was sometimes unbearable when walking to your room. The staff were nice - & breakfast pastry, bagel & waffle options were great.
Nasty hotel, no park disrespect customer service
.
I like the room, microwave and refrigerator available. Affordable. It was close to the subway. It was only $2.90 for a ride to Manhattan. Breakfast was good enough but the coffee machine has to be replaced. It is not good at all. THEY NEED to replace the rug in the hallway. Vending machines and ice machine are available.
The complementary breakfast is really good.
👍
Property was very dirty. Several guests complained about bed bugs and had pictures to support their complaint. Horrible experience.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Parking was on the street only, so once we found a spot near the hotel, we left it parked there and took an Uber to get dinner. The hotel was not in new condition, but it was nice.
Needs to improve flooring
Staff members were really nice and helpful
Just fine...needs updated carpets
I’ve stayed here before and had great experiences! This last visit however, the room just didn’t meet those expectations as it was not throughly cleaned. There was hair left in the shower and on the bathroom door, as well as a towel that was stained. Our smoke detector was also covered in some kind of paper (tissue paper I would assume) and our shower did not work properly. The water kept repeatedly shutting off and the temperature was either ice cold or scalding hot- nothing in between. Maintenance was sent up to look at it but it was still having issues the following day.
Hallways need renovation and one elevator is one too few
Nothing really unique. The building is very old and they have tried to make it livable.
Receiption staff is good. Cleaner isn’t experienced and floor cleaning isn’t good. Capets are dirty on the floor.
Room 301 was big and fairly quiet for NYC. It was clean. Check in was easy. I was lucky enough to find street parking just a few steps from the entrance. Across the street was Ay Kebab -Turkish restaurant with excellent food and service. Subway is right next to the hotel also. Recommend!
Perfect
The floor was uneven, hotel was not deep clean at all. They were painting the hallway and the smell was very strong, no fans. We struggled to get internet connections and were up every night as we could hear both the upstairs and Nextdoor neighbors walking and squeaking. 😞
Good service
Out of the 4 night, 5 day stay, our water pressure for the shower was horrible. I complained multiple times a day, and was told maintenance wouldn’t be in until the next day, 930am. The issue persisted with no repair. The water would drip out after 1-2 minutes of use. In addition to this issue, my car disappeared the third night coming back from the hotel. I parked right on the side street the hotel was at. With no signs indicating no parking, or no fire hydrant, I didn’t know why my car disappeared. I asked the front desk if they seen anything and they were clueless. With panicking and calling the cops, because i thought my car was stolen, no one could help me. After hearing from a person staying at the hotel for a long time, she seen the roads being torn up and took a flyer was the construction workers to give the hotel. The flyer said they were going to pave. The hotel threw it out and did not warn anyone of this. With multiple phone calls, someone mentioned to check within a 5 block radius, because construction workers were known to relocate your car. Walking for an hour, I found my car. On my car was a parking ticket because whoever towed my car placed it in a metered area. Parking enforcement didn’t see a parking ticket and gave me a ticket.
all good
No parking
This property cost me precious time with my family and new grandchild because they bumped my reservation by emailing me at 5:58 pm on day of reservation, supposedly because the room was damaged. As there was a massive youth group there I am assuming that they gave my reserved reservation . With nothing but a sign present at the very busy lobby stating “ be back in 10 minutes “ on company letterhead. I waited 10 , then another ten , and sometime after that a person with the hotel entered , accepted my ID and card and immediately was called on to provide a key for another person. After that she nicely informed me that my room was damaged. And an email had been sent. Having not seen the Email from moments ago that took me by surprise. The clerk sent us to a really sketchy Laquita across town in a Uber they provided and paid for . The clerk when she could get back to the desk was very accommodating and apologetic and I felt it was genuine. Anyway, this place needs some respect for customer needs . You never know wat they are . So I say this to call to management: Training is incredibly important! You really need to have a training session there! It’s in my
Gud
Stayed for a wedding. Had a good experience. Offsite parking as available, but a couple blocks away
Good
Great location, hotel staff were very friendly. The room was good, but the hallways were dark and dirty. Only one elevator but the stairs were well lit and clean.
An overnight was convenient, plenty of towels and hot water Tge bathroom was updated the beds were comfortable.
A little more choice on Breakfast time and Breakfast items.
The hotel needs updating
The hotel is very old now and needs updating, carpets need cleaning or replacing, the bedsheets were never changed even though we requested for them to be replaced, the breakfast was very poor very little choice, or freshness of pastry ‘s
Manager was very nice. He did do his best to fix the problem. I did not get the room that I reserved a month ago. I was put in a room with one bed. I requested two beds so they brought in a rollaway a little pad which was 8 inches smaller than the bed it was on, the hot water was hot or cold cold barely worked the air conditioner they had to come up twice to try to fix it which they were not able to do either had it on or off. They did bring a fan so we could turn it off and not freeze I feel like we got the crack room where everything was broken in it and they threw us in that room very upset. The manager also said he would give me free points to be able to get one room free because he was not able to give me any sort of discount, and I he signed me up for the best western rewards points, but I never received them.
Stay was quick and convenient I would book again ! Not to shabby
This was a well-priced hotel in a decent neighborhood. Their staff was very friendly and personable (including the late-nite staff) and the breakfast offerings were in a nice, clean and spacious room with good furniture and a great selection (above average), including authentic New York style bagels.
The room was in poor condition with torn carpeting and dirty curtains. Hotel rated F for energy consumption. Hallway carpets were dirty and severely stained.
Close to food places and stores, the staff was ok.
The hotel felt a bit rundown. The elevator was really slow and the interior looked shabby. The room was spacious but the bathroom door wouldn’t lock which wasn’t good especially since I had my daughters with me. I felt like I had no privacy. Some of the sockets in the room were damaged. The air conditioner was situated by the window and the air kept blowing behind the curtains which was odd and meant we had to factor that into how we regulated the temperature. The breakfast was ok. I guess you get what you pay for. Had little interaction with staff. The black male receptionist seemed friendly. The others not so much. The cleaners also seemed friendly but didn’t tidy our room thoroughly each day which I’m not sure if they were scheduled to or not. However, that would have added a nice touch to the experience. The kitchen staff didn’t smile throughout our stay which made me feel uneasy and like they weren’t approachable. For a budget hotel it was ok but not one I’m going to be in a hurry to stay in again.
Lobby needs new carpet.
housekeepingdoes not take care of the rooms and the guests too
Attentive staff, clean and comfortable!
The property was ok
My stay at the Gregory was very pleasant and the staff was professional at all times. The concierge at the front desk was attentive to my needs during the entire stay and made my weekend in Brooklyn a memorable one. Thank you for an excellent experience. The only alteration I would make is expand your breakfast menu to include more healthy options like yogurt for example.
Good
Our in-room fire alarm was covered with toilet paper, the room smelled of marijuana, and the door only shut properly with extra effort. The staff was courteous but unphased by our report of the room
Everything is BAD from the second you walk into the door . No ones at the front desk at night , attitude from the male worker , no help , dirty carpets and smells in the room, hard beds etc . I left back home after my trip there early I couldn’t take it ! Do NOT stay here . Trust me I travel a lot and I know good hotels and this isn’t one of them . The ONLY good thing is the maintenance man and it’s close to many stores . That’s it !

Stayed here twice now and really enjoyed my stay! Little far from the manhattan for the price but it was still very easy to get to the subway!
