Nothing to write home about.
The desk chair was not usable, I was afraid I would fall backwards out of the chair. The tv, on some channels, kept pixelating, couldn’t watch those channels. The staff was courteous.
Saved by the bell
Check-in was fast and easy. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. After about an hour in the room, we woke up to baby ROACHES crawling EVERYWHERE!! We went down to the front desk to inform them about the problem and they immediately gave us another room. The "new" room was more clean and comfortable.
I just put "terrible" as nothing else fits to the issue I am trying to resolve. I arrived gave my credit card and was given the key to the room outside. I told lady I wanted inside she said there was only outside. Went to room and the a/c was not working. I came to front desk and asked for a refund. She said she could not help with that, she offered another room inside (now there was one inside) and I told her I was going elsewhere and she could not correct or give me the refund. I just need my refund as I did not stay there. Please help me resolve this and thank you.
I walked in and walked out. It was HORRIBLE, couldnt stay. STAY AWAY
The place was decent, there was limited properties in that area it wss late.
Clean good a/c
Room smelled musky
I love this place very friendly clean.
Pool water looks dirty. My room lights are too dark.
They are not…. Scrubbing the light switches and I had ash trays in my non smoking jacuzzi room!!!
Everything was good
Nicely kept up. Beds were very comfortable. Like the bathroom layout. Very enjoyable stay.
.
Maria at the front desk was amazing and kind. This property was close to event we attending.
EZPZ check in. Friendly staff at desk. Breakfast was only middling. Sausage and biscuits with cream gravy was fine, but egg tray was empty. Orange juice did taste like oranges...these dispensers do act up, so maybe that.
I realized the next day that I didn’t have a comforter on my bed. They had a sheet on top of a blanket as a comforter which explains why I was so cold at night. Other then that my stay was good. Second time to stay here.
Good
Terrible pillows
The worst bed pillows. Should offer part of the pillows in a softer state
this place is very quiet, ans is in the middle of nowhere, but is convenient fore wen i visit my Fam. in Dayton tx area, veey clean and the staff is friendly. Recommended
the propeety is veey quiet, veey convenient foe my Fam. location easy access to hwy clean and the personel is very Nice and friendly
Nice stay
Except for one little company the over all stay was great. The room my daughter and I stayed in had a musky smell that was annoying. Over all the staff was great, room was clean, breakfast was a nice touch. Will stay there again if I'm that way again.
The staff was very friendly
You may need ear plugs for the road noise, pretty close to the highway
The toilet seat slide when you sat down both on the room and in the restroom on the first floor. Very noisy across from a train yard and on a busy highway. Would not stay there again.
the staff were friendly. the room had to be kept really cold or else it was humid. There was a fresh blood stain on the sheet when we arrived. I didn't ask for the sheet to be changed because I could avoid it but the sheets weren't changed the next day either.
My experience was not worth the price that I paid. Hotel is under remodeling so there was no carpet in the hallways. Did not enjoy the shower because the showerhead threw water everywhere. Just wasn't comfortable at all.
It was quite.
The property was very clean and quiet
This hotel was 10 near where I needed to be the following day so it was perfect. The only downside is I wish I knew in advance that my room was not in the actual hotel but had to enter from the outside. Since I was traveling alone it wasn’t a safe feeling. I’ll ask next time if I travel in this area.
Comfortable befs
Everything in the room was great
Clearly, a lot is going on with this property and it’s all positive. The staff was excellent. The noise from the road is the main complaint we have, along with the difficulty of getting out of the hotel onto the highway. It’s scary both entering and leaving the hotel given the number of large trucks going by at full speed. The restaurant next door is a big plus.
Best Western Dayton
The staff were helpful and friendly. Apparently, they are undergoing renovations, so there's no carpeting or air-conditioning in the hallways. The room was clean and comfortable, but as a woman traveling solo, it is a safety concern to be given an adjoining room.
The managers son is a child and ruined our stay.
What a rotten experience. We had two rooms for family that was in town for a funeral. Our room stunk of mold but our other room next door was clean and didn’t smell. Our family member had a service animal that was disclosed upon check in. That evening my husband took the animal out to potty and a young man sped into the parking lot right up to the animals legs and demanded to know if we were staying in the hotel. He had a car full of friends. This stranger kept pestering my husband and finally said he was the manager (who wasn’t on shift but out with friends and harassing us at night). He called the front desk to verify there was a service animal checked in and that we were paying guests he was treating like this and instead of simply saying, ‘sorry man, go ahead, I was just checking’, rolled up his window while my husband was talking and drove off. The next morning while this kid was at the front desk my husband went to speak with him about it and he REFUSED his name and to even say a word to my husband. He rolled his eyes and put his head on his hand and then shut them while my husband was trying to figure out why this guy wouldn’t say a single word to him. So bizarre. He is the owners son and this is how they handle their business just because we had a service animal. What a way to be treated and while staying for a funeral and this ‘manager’ wouldn’t speak a word to my husband after the parking lot incident. And the rooms were expensive! You’d expect better.
The staff was great, I just do not like the moldy smell in here but it’s very clean, and I must add that it only smells like that because of the winter storm and the renovations they are making so it’s totally ok. Just stinks
The first room was not acceptable. It was musty smelling and due to our asthma condition my husband and I couldn't sleep in that room. The next one offered was slightly better. We had to go buy some lysol spray to spray in the room and on the carpet. We still had issues sleeping. Both of us needed to use our inhalers multiple times. The carpet was damp and shoes/slippers were required at all times. We didnt sit on the furniture as it was terribly dirty. I understand that the hotel was under construction but it could have been much cleaner!
our stay at best western was great was a last minute planning and was able to find this great deal
Staff was very nice, accommodating and had plenty of parking for my trailer. The only issue I had was that our room was extremely humid. Even after we turned down the temperature, the next morning our clothes felt damp.
My room was clean and large, the staff was nice. However, I desperately needed water but the vending machine was all out. And there was a huge puddle of water around the vending machine. My biggest issue was that it was very noisy. There was a loud whistling sound that kept me awake. It was also very difficult to try and block out the sound of cars driving by on the highway. I know that’s not really something that can be controlled, but maybe for future locations they can consider how close the building is to the actual road if there will be traffic traveling at high speeds. Also, the room was very cold and the blanket on the bed was very thin. I adjusted the temperature on the ac but it still took a long time for me to get comfortable enough to go to sleep. Maybe provide an extra blanket in the room for the future. I am a solo woman traveler and I didn’t feel particularly safe while checking out. There was no one at the front desk and there was a strange man standing around my car in the parking lot staring at me and he tried to talk to me. Maybe having an extra person on shift to ensure someone will be at the front desk or offer to escort guests to their cars in situations like this would be helpful.
This property was out of the hustle & bustle of town which we liked. Train tracks across the road, but it was a nice place to stay!
It's clean and close to the convention center. If you have trouble sleeping with noise though, it will be a problem. You'll need to ask for a room not facing the Highway or train track.
There were cobwebs in most corners, and I didn’t drink coffee but when I returned to my room in the afternoon (after it was cleaned) it looked like coffee had been poured in the sink & left. It was very noisy and the men sharing the door with me were apparently roughhousing because they kept bumping the door. I felt unsafe & leaned an ironing board against the shared door & the suitcase rack against the front door. I won’t stay there again.
While the staff was nice, the room was not. The smell in the room was musty and I felt like I was sleeping in a room full of mold. Also smelled of backed up pipes. The hotel is under construction, so I hope this changes. Being the only hotel in the area, I needed to stay 2 nights. Tried to stay out of my room until it was time for bed.
Put in a smoking room with kids. Hotel was under construction from a recent flood and should not have been open. Very noisy at night due to being located next to a train yard.
It was like a mountain lodge, very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful, also the price was reasonable
Under remodeling process, dust and noise all day long
Everything was good
Best location to stay for the convenience of commuting around the other small towns in the area.
Great Stay
Great experience

Great stay
This is an older hotel but it is very clean. The staff is very friendly. The free breakfast is good for what it is. Half of the hotel is outside corridor and half is inside corridor. This detail was not listed on the hotels.com site. So if you prefer an inside corridor room, may be a reservation to book directly with the hotel so that you can make that request. The restaurant next to the hotel is excellent also and just a walk across the parking lot!
My parents has nothing but great things to say about the property! Clean, quiet, quick check in and great breakfast!
I would definitively stay here again.
it was an older hotel. It is right off Hwy 90 which is a busy and loud highway. It was very clean but old looking. I paid extra to check in early I was ok with that I had a wedding at 4:30 and we still needed to get checked in and get ready. So, we drive 3 hours to get there, and they lady said that our room was not ready yet. I said 10 and it is 12:30. So, we went to Walmart and then by the time we got back the room was ready. OMG we walked in, and it was so dark the only lighting was from a lamp and a few wall lights. It was so dark I had to go outside to do my make up. Then I look at the bed they had 2 throw pillows as "pillow" I called to front desk and said do you have regular sized pillows she told me no but when I got to the desk there was 2 regular size pillows. The bedding was nothing more than 2 sheets and a thin fuzzy blanket. So, I asked for a better one when I picked my pillows up. Last was I went to take a shower and there was no hot water. I was already running later so I had to take a lukewarm shower which I was pissed about. So, the very last thing was we turned the TV on remote did not work. This is the 4th time to the front desk. I would never stay there again but it was very clean for its age and people were somewhat nice.
Easy, convenient. Nothing fancy. Just a basic hotel. But clean and nice.
Stayed here one night. Hotel is nice and clean. Did not have breakfast, so cannot comment. The problem was the train. Hotel is across the street from the train which passes several times that night. It was just a loud night.

I was put in one of the outside access rooms. The deadbolt lock on the door would not work. When I went to bed, I was attacked by a half dozen different types of bugs. After dealing with the bugs for 30-45 minutes, it stopped and I was able to go to sleep. On a positive note, the free breakfast was good.
Room smelled a bit like humidity but it was very clean. Shout out to their cleaning staff. I stay at a lot of hotels and this one was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.
I will stay here again
Great stay, room was great, staff was great, breakfast was good, wifi reliable
Clinton stay at ABV Inn
This had to be the worst place we could've picked to stay. We had 2 rooms, one the main door wouldnt latch shut, they did have a guy with a big hammer come out and beat it into submission. One room had no toilet paper at all, both had no coffee pot, the maker was ther along with Styrofoam cups and cofee just no pot, both rooms we were not able to close the bathroom doors, there was a golfball size hole in the cieling in one bath where wayer damage had happened and was molding. The rooms had AC but had a smell and i never got past that sticky feeling like it was humid in the room. They had a breakfast area that appered to be a new storage area for debris. The staff was helpful, and the beds where comfortable. Would not recommend staying here to anyone.
Been to this place multiples times & it never dissapoints.
Worth staying here for sure.
Way nicer than I expected, the staff was great. The noise of the trains across the street didn’t both me, but if you’re a light sleeper, maybe ask for a room that doesn’t face the tracks. I love watching trains myself.
Staff and management are very friendly and helpful. Always trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Very pleased.
Awesome
I liked the fact that the room was clean, and the area was quiet. I also like that there was a Steak and Seafood Restaurant next to room
5 Stars
Had a 2 night stay while visiting family that lives in Dayton. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in. Housekeeping was awesome, they went as far as fluffing my toddler’s Paw Patrol pillow that was on the bed when we went out the next day 😂. Will definitely be my go to for all of our future visits.
Restaurant next-door was a plus.
I have stayed here before, both stays were great!
Bad
Bed sheets were still damp. Bugs all in front of the door, roach in bath tub, and heater was not working at all only blew out cold when it was 30 degrees outside.
The hotel looked pretty rundown however the rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly.
Over night stat
Location on US90 (like). Train noise (dislike).
Great breakfast
My go to hotel when visiting family in Dayton always clean and
Close to where need to be
Nice room and friendly staff
Convenience.
Really nice
Wonderful Hotel and Staff
I have stayed at this Best Western several times when in Dayton visiting family. Rooms are always clean and comfy. The staff has always been very pleasant and helpful, even when weather forced me to an extra couple of night’s stay. The breakfast is always nice, even when they were forced to do “brown bag” breakfasts at the worst of COVID.
The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were horrible. That is my only complaint
Dayton wins!
Good stay. Nice, new, clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
We were there as part of the evacuation from hurricane Ida in Louisiana. We stayed there two nights. The first night we were there somebody threw a Coke all over our car!
very good clean beds and nice pillows
Clean motel, nice breakfast, quite location, friendly staff. I recommend. Visited during IDA hurricane evacuation.
reasonalbly priced
This was a business/persinewX
Shower and tub broke and didn't fixed
Staff was very nice and accommodating. Room was good. The pool was nasty!!
Upon our arrival, we were greeted promptly. Guest services was fabulous (informed about our expectations, friendly, and helpful). Surprisingly, we were informed that we had been upgraded to suites. Very pleasant to say the least. Rooms were very clean, spacious and exceeded our expectations. The beds were very comfortable. All the staff were super friendly and had smiles to share with us during all interactions. We felt very welcome. Bonus feature: Thank you for having a Keurig in the room for my favorite coffee. We will most definitely stay there again.
Nice place to stay! Clean and comfortable room. Staff was amazing!
The hotel was VERY clean and the bed was comfortable. My 2 MUST HAVES! We will be back as our grandchildren are living in Dayton now. Thank you!

It's all about the sheets. Check in was easy; efficient and friendly. It's off a busy highway, so there is a bit of noise. The room appeared clean initially, with a pleasant assortment of complimentary toiletries. But once I got ready for bed, I noticed the stained sheets. I don't know if the sheets were clean and stained, or dirty and stained. I can't decide which one is worse; not changing dirty linen or providing guests with horribly stained clean sheets because they don't care about their image.
Restful night of sleep.
We were exhausted from cleaning all day and got to the hotel and showered and slept like a rock all night. Thank you Best Westen Dayton TX
Nice place
Nice little stay.
.
There was a Suburban parked right outside the door which look like a homeless was living in it. Very ratty looking vehicle, was scared to go out back.
