Old and Tired!
The outside of this motel is so very cute but the inside needs help. There was old carpet, poor heating, and the beds were completely worn out. I will not stay here again.
It needs to be remodel !
The property is well lit and clean. Felt safe as I walked the dog in green space. Need to consider replacing carpet with vinyl tile, as the carpet carries an odor. Love that pets are allowed, but need to have flooring that is easily cleaned.
It is just ok. I wouldn’t stay more than 1 night. It’s ok if you just need a place close to the airport. Staff was very nice.
Really nice to have some bottles of water free!
Ok but far from perfect.
We had a two-queen room, and one of the beds had a broken frame. There was no lamp on the desk so it was hard to do anything there without a flashlight. The motel looks cute and old-timey like an old Motor Court, with move sports to walk dog and a playground. It's nice to park right outside your door. And the staff were wonderful. . But they need to spiff up the rooms some.
We enjoyed our stay here, the receptionist was very friendly and offered us free water bottles. The only reason we didn’t give this hotel 5 stars is because the walls were paper thin and parking was horrible were our room was located. We could hear our neighbor’s coughing at 5:30am in the morning which made it unpleasant. Overall, not a bad choice for the price.
Enjoyed our stay again. Thanks to all for continuing to keep up the good service.
Great Stay!
Our stay was great! Impressive accommodations for the price, with a variety of hot and cold breakfast selection. The outdoor area was well kept for walking with our pet. Staff was extremely attentive and helpful. Location was convenient to area attractions, restaurants, etc.
The room was clean, but the bed is terrible. The mattress is broken down, springs creaking and popping. Not what I expected from a Best Western.
Great stay in Springfield, MO
Room was clean and comfortable. Got a much needed good night’s sleep before heading out on the road. Check in was quick and friendly too. Breakfast was convenient and provided variety. Dog friendly, no extra charge.
Worse place to stay
We came to Springfield area to pick up a new vehicle . We were traveling with our goldendoodle so needed a pet friendly place . This motel was just what we needed . We enjoyed that the whole place is on one level so no stairs . It is an older building but was clean . The breakfast was good with very good coffee . We will stay again without hesitation !
I have a pet so it’s nice to be able to park right by my room door
Good service and free bottled water.
Great Olace
Perfect place for an overnight stay with the dogs! My 4 th time here. Clean, quiet, comfortable, dog area, great breakfast.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. We lived the "motel"format where we park right at the room door.there is a dogpark and green area for dog walking.the room was spotless and had all.thr amenities. The free breakfats had choices of hot foods and fruits and yogurt and waffles. It was very good and fresh. We were able to doordash a very good japenese restaurant . We had driven 11 hours and were able to relax and not worry about anything for the second time. Last year's stay was the same.positive experience. We also appreciated the free water bottles , candy and dog treats at the reception desk. Awesome place!
Our stay was fine. Tammy at the front desk was very helpful in trying to get things fixed for us.
Loved it has a dog park area and plenty of green space for walking the dog.
The Roach House
We stopped for the night passing through Missouri. They gave us room 151. It was very dirty and crawling with roaches. The carpet was filthy, there was long blonde hair on the floor infront of the bathroom, and the plastic push up part of a deodorant container next to the toilet. There was a red roach trap behind the pedestal sink in the bathroom. I killed 8 roaches. The room was cold when we entered and after turning up the heat, the roaches came out. They were behind the wall pictures, under the beds, behind the dressers. More and more came out. They came out of the back of the TV, and out of the alarm clock. It was the most horrible hotel experience. When I complained to the front desk and showed pictures, they moved us to room 203 in a different building. We searched through the new room, and saw no roach activity. We didn't risk the free breakfast. We will never ever stay here again. Hotels.com won't let me upload the roach photos to this review...
It’s a very clean property. I felt safe, even though I was traveling alone. You park right at your door.
We have stayed at this Best Western multiple times as it’s conveniently located as we travel from the south to the north. We travel with 2 cats and this Best Western is cat friendly, not just pet friendly, which usually means dogs only (read the fine print when booking rooms that say pet friendly), it has access from outside so we don’t have to take the cats through a lobby, but most importantly, the staff is always very friendly! We will continue to make this a stop over on the future!
We enjoyed our two night stay.
Good and clean
Good hot breakfast. Clean comfortable room. Friendly folks working the front desk. Everyone there deserves a pat on the back. Not easy to have to work over Thanksgiving and remain friendly and positive. Been there, I know.
Perfect for dogs
Perfect for a one night stay! I stop here every year on my way south. Clean quiet comfortable.
Great property especially if you have a dog.
Great value
Great hotel!
Cozy, clean, friendly and welcoming! Great place to stop on our long road trip!! REally appreciate Best Western!!
Nice and comfy
The staff were extremely patient with me and my car with an unfortunate breakdown right in the entryway.
Excellent!! Best place to go when travelling with a dog!!
Very nice motel.
Not at all like photos
The room I stayed in was very outdated. It looked NOTHING like the photos. The mattress was saggy in the middle, the couch was so dirty I didnt even sit on it. The carpet was very worn and stained. The bath vanity was something free standing and very old. I am very disappointed in the misrepresentation on the website.
Overnight stay
My family stayed here overnight on our way home from a wedding in Florida. I have stayed here a few times in the past while visiting family in Springfield. The place is always clean and quiet. The breakfast is good for a quick start to your day. The lady at the front desk when i checked in wasn't very friendly but wasn't rude either she acted like she would rather be somewhere else. The place needs to be updated our bed squeaked alot. I would stay here again.
warm welcome
Staff very helpful and courteous. Room clean. Love parking at the door. Beds very lumpy and uncomfortable. Could not get comfortable. Stayed 2 nights then had to get out there.
It was super quiet. Area was clean. Parking was not always convenient. Breakfast was nice. Dining area a little crowded at times. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Good to park and walk in room
Very clean and friendly. Definitely would stay again.
Our check in time was 3pm and we arrived at 6pm and staff there said “yeah that room is not ready yet come back in 30 minutes” so we had to leave and come back even though we arrived after the check in time. When we got to the room it smelt like smoke, even though this may not be the fault of the coach house it could have been cleaned better and the pillows were very very soft (almost all the fluff had gone) overall it was over priced and the breakfast was poor
Everything was good just a little pricey compared to similar other hotel. But clean and bed good.
Such a great place to stay. Everyone was very nice and friendly and helpful
Bed frame was broken, bath tub faucet broke and wouldn’t shut off had to change rooms at 9:30pm. And the sink was stopped up when we arrived.
Great place to stay
First impression was a little iffy just because it looks like older style motel. The staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean. Bathroom was updated mattress was a little lumpy but not terrible. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast. It was extremely nice that they gave you free bottles of water, that was very classy. Overall, this is excellent place. I would go there again great price and great people. Also loved sitting outside of the room with the provided. Chairs was a wonderful evening and it was very quiet around there.
Even though the property is dated, it was a convenient stop for one night. Room was clean and quiet.
Beds mattress was horrible, needs replacement.
Everything was great except the front door. Looked like it could use some repair.
Good Place
This BW has become a regular overnight stop for us when we travel from Texas to the north east to visit family. It’s one of the few remaining places that allow cats as well as dogs (we have 2 cats). Unfortunately, we’ve been turned away from establishments that said ‘pet friendly’, but were not, so make sure to read the fine print! The staff is always very personable!
Very fun quaint hotel. Parking lot was full upon arrival. Like that you can park right in front of your room. Also really appreciated the free bottles of water. Breakfast was subservient, I figured it would have been packed since it looked like the hotel was full but there were plenty of seating options.
An old school motel, slightly worn around the edges, but a comfortable room and beautifully maintained grounds.
Very nice staff. Beds weren't comfortable. Very nice breakfast served every morning.
Cottage style, good property
Good property, close to the highway, but very quiet. Our first room did reek of marijuana, so I called the front desk and they apologized profusely and changed our room to a nicely upgraded room. Breakfast was nice, in a big comfortable area. Fenced dog park area was great for our lab to stretch her legs after a long day in the car. Would definitely stay there again.
Fun old style Motor lodge
Great redone old motor lodge. A Route 66 experience.
Charming Motel
This charming motel was very clean and comfortable for our one night stay. The grounds are very well kept with a playground, swimming pool, and dog park. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was just okay, typical items. The lady that checked us in was super sweet and helpful! We would stay here again.
Unacceptable
Very old motel. Room was musty, wifi is crappy, t.v. is old and the remote wasn't functioning properly. They close the lobby at a certain time, so getting utensils or napkins is a "government clearance " issue, because you need to contact the front desk " if they're there". The staff wasn't as pleasant and the breakfast wasn't worth getting up for. No milk for 4 days, guests were eating cereal with hot water. Why not go buy milk for your guests? Hundred dollars more, I could've stayed at the COURTYARD! My horrible mistake. Also, hotels.com makes it an ordeal to get a refund, that's why I didn't bother to switch hotels. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! BTW I had a bug in my bed.
Comfy, quiet, and relaxing! We needed a good night's sleep after a few days on the road. The bed was so comfortable!!
Nice place to stay
Very nice place. The hot breakfast was simple but very good. All of the employee were very friendly.
Easy check in. clean.
Momma travels.
I always stay at this motel on my trip home. The mattresses on both beds need to be thrown away. Everything else good as usual. Good location and several eating places close by.
This place is adorable very well kept clean and quiet i cant say enough positives about it
Nice find
We have been traveling across country and so far this was our favorite for an overnight stay. Has everything you need and is quiet and relaxing.
Really nice quiet area to stay.
My daughter and i took my niece and nephew and being two women we did not feel safe with all the men sitting around outside. When we got to our room, there were several men a few doors down. We got into our room and ants were everywhere, incuding on the bed. We were moved, but moved right in the middle of the men. We did not feel safe, so we left.
great staff.rooms need a good cleaning
friendly staff.lots of other hotels/motels in area.not bad for a motel.rooms need a good cleaning
Great staff, breakfast, cleanliness
I like that this property doesn’t limit the size, breed, or how many dogs you can have with you. I have 3 Goldens that travel with us and it’s difficult to find a hotel that will allow them to stay with us. The hotel has a nice fenced in area the dogs can play off leash too. It is unfortunate the rooms by the dog park are not the rooms that accommodate dogs. Dislike: they do not like to have trailers longer than 20 feet - told is next time they won’t allow us to stay because we have a 24’ trailer.
It just seemed so old, and you could hear everything going on outside. Someone revved their truck up at 4am to leave and we were all wide awake. I’m sure the rooms around us were too. Just zero sound proofing.
Love the one story with parking outside your room. Pets are welcome and I’ve stayed here multiple times and would choose to again.
This was a wonderful place to stay over night! Clean and quiet.
You couldnt sleep because of fighting
This is almost like stepping back in time to the days of motel courts but updated. It is one story & you park in front of your door. There is a sparkling outdoor swimming pool and a large green space. The room was spacious and clean and I would definitely stay there again.
Stayed one night while traveling through area. Convenient and very pleasant staff.
Good!
Hotel was a nice throwback to a simpler time. Breakfast was good and the employees were friendly.
This hotel is full of permanent residents who don't have the most well behaved crowd hanging around all night. As a grown man, its fine....but dont take your kids & wife.
Not the end of the world & puzzled at their rating
Leaving this review because I’m genuinely puzzled at the location’s high rating. Before I share any concerns, I will say that the main desk area did have a computer station with complimentary printing that was genuinely useful to me. Housekeeping had done their a decent job to ensure this tired room was clean. Additionally, staff were kind and efficient upon once they arrived. However, the main desk area smelled of mildew, and my room had been smoked in previously. The phone was in poor repair (the handle disconnected in my hand). I’m theory there was secure wifi…in practice, there was a suspiciously open wifi network available that I didn’t use (why is there a password provided if there’s no requirement to enter it?). The room was clean but quite worn with patchy ceiling paint and uneven repairs in the bathroom. It was sufficient for a one night business stay and not what I’d consider a 8+ standard. For the price and inflation, it’s not the end of the world. And I won’t go out of my way to stay again — unless I’m traveling with a pet. They seemed did seem friendly to our furry friends based on what I overheard in neighboring rooms and the kind treats available at the front desk.
We love BW Coach house. This is our choice when we are in Springfield.
It was all nice
Easy access. clean and quiet
It was decent
Had an issue with our first room leaking but was offered another room. Everything was well, breakfast good, laundry facility was ok. Could use a clean to the room daily when the door doesn’t have the “do not enter” up.
The friendly, helpful staff especially the lady who checked us in Friday.
Very clean friendly staff easy access
Great price and very clean room. All staff we came in touch with were friendly, and helpful.
Room was fine other than ants all around the bathroom.
Great Value -- Would Recommend (but a few issues)
Convenient -- near I-44, Walmart, restaurants, gas, etc. Like the car right by the room for easy loading/unloading. EXCELLENT breakfast -- posted with daily options inc. eggs, potatoes, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, fruit, almond milk, coffee, tea, juice, cinnamon rolls & other bread choices, tortillas, cheese, peanut butter and more from 6-9 a.m. "Always" available -- cold bottled water, coffee and tea in the lobby (though the coffee maker was down the last day) with several computers -- with the printer down (front desk said it should be fixed in the next week). Several seating opt. in the room with a fantastic alarm clock (could hear it over the bathroom fan and shower), phone, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron & board, and hair dryer provided. 4 pillows per bed. Would have liked a real blanket, but good climate control. Cute little white picket fence & plantings with an outdoor chair by each unit. Nice little grass area where several other travelers played Frisbee, a playground and outdoor pool (though it was closed for the season). Carpet and baseboards a little warn, didn't care for the smoking so near the building and could use an exterminator -- they said they would look into that (and that the 100 series rooms tend to have an ant problem due to a nearby field). Overall, it was a good experience. Great staff! Great breakfast and amenities. Good value. A little room for improvement, but would stay here again and recommend to others.
Greater Ozark Open - Motel of my choice.
My 2nd stay at this location. Best Western is consistently good. Location sits besides a good restaurant. Room is clean and location is quiet. I will stay again.
Wouldn't stay here again.
There was a distinct smell of mildew/oldness to the room. There was no seal anywhere in the front door. There was light coming thru the top, bottom and handle side of the door, which would explain the multiple little bugs that were in our room. I'm also trying to upload a photo but the site wont let me
Will stay here again next time.
Despite being near a busy street, the place seemed idyllic, like the old motor courts of yesteryear. Place for dogs, quiet, good breakfast everyday. The nice weather was a great touch.
Very friendly
Good stay
A good location with friendly staff. Id consider staying there again
Very good experience at this facility. Easy and fast check-in. Room room perfect and same as shown in pictures. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great stay. Will come back.
It's an older motel but was pretty clean and quiet. They forgot to empty bath trash and were some leaves and such that they didn't get. With all that said, I'd still stay again. Nice staff when getting in late and easy check in process.
Great service. Very good accommodations.
Staff was very friendly and helpful and overall, the premises wasn't bad. Beds in our room were TERRIBLE though, dingy and sunken in.
I stay here whenever I pass through Springfield. It's clean and quiet. Pet friendly.
It was wonderful
Nice hotel and very nice staff. Needs some upkeep. One side of our toilet seat was not attached so kept sliding over. Also, bathroom sink barely drained. We reported to the cleaning staff and front desk so, hopefully, repairs will be made to room #127. Room was pretty clean, but could use a bit more attention in corners and closet. Had a pile of dirty socks in the closet. All in all, would stay there again.

A nice place to stay when traveling. Near the interstate. Friendly staff. Very accommodating to pets. There was not extra charge for our little dog. Nice surprise. Free breakfast. Great value.
