Excellent very clean

We were made to feel welcome, the staff were friendly, our rooms were much bigger than expected as we had 2 searate bedrooms and a lounge/kitchen/dining. Plenty of room to park the car.

Great Motel but..

Motel was good with everything you need, only downside is the noise from the main road.

It was quiet at night and the bed was comfortable - I got a good nights sleep thanks. I couldn't find the heater without help (it's not obvious) so was cold for a while at first. Also couldn't access Sky channels. These things should be easier

Comfortable Location

We were running a bit late so they called to arrange an easy check-in. The staff we really friendly and everything felt smooth and easy. Our whole stay was comfortable and we had a central location to all that we needed. Will definitely book here again!

Good size for two families

Room was spacious for 4 people which was perfect.

Convenient Stay

Great stsy

The rooms were very spacious and a good service daily. Nice staff. Clean. Quiet. Very handy to centre and waterworld. Plenty of parking. Early check in and late check out. Very accommodating. The rooms were warm with fan heating but need new insulation as temperature varied a lot and ended up with wet windows. Definitely stay again.

Family unit fun

Great family motel. Lots of space in the 2 bedroom unit, well kitted out bathroom, with a bath. Also had an oven making dinner way easier. Handy to supermarket and short drive into town or the stadium.

Stayed here to attend the Chiefs rugby, very handy to the stadium, clean, and although there were a few people celebrating post-game, the noise didnt affect us too much.

We have used the Bella Vista Motels on previous holidays from the UK. Decided to try the Hamilton Motel this time while visiting again from the UK. The excellent standards of cleanliness have been maintained since our last visit several years ago. Also handy location.The unit has fridge , crockery and microwave which allows self catering if desired.We like the fresh look of the building, obviously well maintained.Easy parking.Helpfull reception staff.

The motel itself was very pleasant. Its facilities were as expected, although being on the first floor meant restricted window openings - and it was hot during our stay. No aircon. A minor point. The major note - and one that, unfortunately, the Motel staff have little control over, was the surrounding noise. Both on Friday and Saturday nights there were very loud neighbours from the flats behind the motel. Friday night's fun was a drunk swearing and threatening to fill someone in at the top of his voice. Saturday night was three loud women repeatedly calling to a baby - around midnight! The road noise was also pretty full on. So, if you're not too fussed about peace and quiet - I'd happily recommend the place. However, if you do want to get to sleep before midnight on a weekend - perhaps consider somewhere else.

Bella Vista a thumbs up.

Although on first impression the Bella Vista dosen't look like much. The room was well equipped and comfy. The bedrooms were spacious and roomy. The cooking facilities are not much so only basic cooking available. The local shops are some distance away so make sure you have all you need. Overall it was a pleasant stay and will defently stay again.

Excellent Hotel

Great Hamilton hotel. Very spacious well equipped room. Very large comfortable bed, awesome spa bath, clean and well serviced. The hotel staff are all friendly and very helpful. Fast, free Wi-Fi. Would definitely stay again.

Night away

Not sure if I was upgraded but wasn't type of room I booked. Booked a unit with a king bed and received one with two queens one in lounge and one in bedroom. Unit was clean and tidy. Being close to main road means get a bit of road noise. As we had a downstairs unit there was a bit of noise transfer from upstairs in the morning when trying to have a sleep in.

Happy in Hamilton

Really enjoyed our stay comfy beds fluffy towels great shower location handy. Only thing we would have liked is an air condition unit although we appreciated the free standing fan.

A delightful experience

Hotel was conveniently placed, reasonably priced and exactly as it seemed when I was booking online. Staff went above and beyond and it was very clean. Can’t fault Bella Vista

Nice and close to the Stadium

The booking process was very. However, a few days before our scheduled visit, I received a call from the hotel requesting payment bfore our arrival, even though the booking clearly specified we would pay on check-in. My sister's booking details also specificed she was in a wheel chair. On arrival, they had her on the first floor, with access by stairs only. They also had us at opersite ends of the motel. So not a great start. They were quick to resolve this for us which meant shifting a few quests to accomodate but it also meant my daughter and her frieds giving up a room that had 2 beds to a room with one bed, so they can be closer to the new room my sister was reallocated to. Staff were pleasant and quick to resolve but still not a great experience.

no hot water for shower and bath!

Terrible surprise to have no hot water when we wanted to relax taking bath or shower. The best we could get was just a little warm water. So we tried to use the jacuzzi with the heater function: Second terrible surprise, it spread out dirty water with hair and dust in the bath ! Giving up on the bath, we tried at least a quick 'fresh' shower, but as the shower head could not move, we had to receive the cold water in the face.. To finish the nightmare, when we wanted to sleep, we discovered that the window at the head of the bed had a gap, that let cold wind blow directly on our head .. The staff gave us a 20 % discount and explained that their plumber was in the process of fixing the water issue..from last week!.. but I consider a room should not be rent in this condition.. It seems this was the same for all the rooms ! The basic to expect from a room is clean bed and hot shower ..

Close to everything

Excellent accomodation and close to everything in Hamilton. Been away for almost 2 weeks and this is the best motel we've stayed at and at such a reasonable price. Extra comfy beds too.

Lovely place to stay

Spacious and clean

We stayed in a one bedroom unit. Large king bed in lounge area (which was a huge space) and two singles in the bedroom for kids. The bathroom was large with a shower and a spa bath (which was nice and deep). Kitchen was great and we were just really happy with the room and service that was provided. Clean and tidy with fresh towels everyday. We even got a little Easter surprise left in our room! Hosts were more than helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Bella Vista

Our hosts were lovely and made sure that our stay was comfortable for us. The laundry facilities were great as we were able to go away with clean clothes! The room was perfect for our needs and spa bath was so relaxing.

Good central motel in Hamilton

Bella Vista is in 'motel central' in Hamilton, handy venue (we were there for the NZ-Australia ODI cricket). It was an easy walk to the venue (Seddon Park).

Great location for rugby/cricket

So close to town and sporting fields, park up the car and walk.

Super family friendly!

We had our 4 children with us aged 7 to 16 years. We found the two bedrooms were spacious and the lounge and bathroom were also spacious so we didn't feel we were packed in like sardines. The extra TV in the master bedroom and a lively spa bath were a bonus too! It was super clean and tidy and we'll equipped with enough glasses, plates, for six of us not the usual set of 4. Thank you, it made a stressful visit for us, much less stressful and even relaxing!

beds need work

This was great value for money stay, the location and the rooms were to notch, until you jumped in the bed. The bed was springy and firm without being soft. So with me tossing and turning my wife and I got no sleep and woke up with aches and pains. I think the bed is an over looked part of the stay, given you spend more time in the bed than you do in the shower, kitchen etc, and when you wake tired and grumpy.. no one wins. As a suggestion I think moteliers should spend a night in their own rooms from time to time to see what the customer see.

Right price, comfy and clean

Easy to find and helpful staff. 20+ mins to shops, casual dining or even breakfast...20mins in the rain is ... meh!

Stayed here for two nights, friendly owners, good wifi! Rooms were clean and tidy with good shower! Little bit of traffic noise!

Clean basic motel

Very pleasant host. Very clean studio unit. Found bed very hard. Shower for 5' 2" person too high couldn't get under it. Fridge sounded like a car idling outside the door.

We had a great stay withour two children, bedroom has the two single beds so they could go to bed before us. Friendly helpful staff. Room was exceptionally clean, beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if in Hamilton.

I really liked this motor inn. It seemed new or newly remodeled. The room was small but well-appointed and comfortable. The proprietor was very friendly and accommodating. An oscillating fan was our A/C.

Large unit v

Really nice, clean and comfortable. Owners friendly and helpful. The one bedroom unit had a decent kitchen, only thing I could think of to improve it would be a couch! Would definitely stay again.

This small,well maintained motel was located close to shops and restaurants. Staff was nice and helpful. Be aware that restaurants are often closed on holidays and if they are open charge an extra 15%

Quick over nighter

Quick overnight stay, have been here before and happy with level of service. Just a bit out of center of town but Hamilton is easy to get around. There was a school girls netball team also staying while my stay and didn't I hear them at all which gives an idea of peacefulness

We really enjoyed our cooked breakfast which was cooked perfectly to our requests. The staff were always pleasant and the motel was handy to town.

Great position for rugby lovers!

Just around the corner from Waikato stadium the position of the Bella Vista could be a rugby lover's dream! Friendly welcome, excellent accommodation. We had the luxury of 2 rooms, generous toiletries in the bathroom plus a well fitted-out kitchen area with everything we needed for mealtimes.The beds were large and very comfortable. Free parking and excellent Wi-Fi too. We had a 2 night stay and would have been happy to stay longer. Recommended.

Really friendly staff who were helpful and supplied milk. Yay! It's a very easy to find place, easy to access and very comfortable. Everything you could need.

Hamilton Stopover

Just overnight for family trip to Nitro Circus. Very clean and fresh. Fans were available and needed as it was a very hot evening.

Highly recommended

2 of us were there for 4 nights. Its a great place, excellent management went that went that extra mile, comfortable, clean, slept well and cleaning staff did a great job. Will definitely stay there next time. Highly recommended.

Comfortable

The room was nice and comfortable. The heater warmed up the room quickly :). There are no kitchen facilities. Just has a microwave and crockery but no sink or stove. But it wasn't a problem for just one night for me.

GREAT OVERNIGHT STAY IN HAMILTON

Was very impressed with the extra little touches, such a scented spray and liquid hand soap. My only criticism would be that the beds could have been better. But otherwise all good. Also think maybe a shower cap would have been a good idea as the shower head is fixed, very few women want their head under the shower. I always take one with me, so it wasn't a problem.
