Amazing service and hospitality. I wish the pool would have been heated so that we can use it. Otherwise a wonderful stay, we enjoyed it so much.
This property could use an update. We had a room in the first floor, it was covered with curtains that left an opening therefore we felt a lack of privacy. The breakfast was terrible very underwhelming. The person who checked us was nice and welcoming. The pool im the pack was cold, why not heat the pool? The rooftop was closed. The major advantage to this hotel was that's it's on the main strip and free parking. But probably wouldn't stay there again.
The hotel is very pretty and conveniently located right by the malecón. Terrace is a great sunset view point. Rooms are pretty and comfortable, however our room didn’t have hot water (or warm enough for a shower). This was fixed after an hour the first night, next morning, we weren’t able to get warm water.
The courtyard was pretty
The property itself is great! Top notch! The amenities available on the property are very convenient from the spa which has a jacuzzi & sauna to the pool area! All within the property make it very easy to access. The breakfast was great! The only suggestion I would make is regarding the wait staff. They seemed almost annoyed with any request made and didn't have a friendly demeanor unlike the housekeeping staff who were cheery, smily and greeted you in passing.
No habia agua caliente durante varias horas, despues no salia el agua porque la regadera estaba tapada. No habia donde colgar las toallas. Algunas personas de staff trataron de ayudar pero El gerente y encargado de mantenimiento tardaron en llegar.
Gracias.
Emelio and Roberto made movements to ensure our stay was fantastic. We also were impressed with the bartender during the day the drinks were impeccable. This is my second time staying and the staff is AMAZING! The room and amenities are great as well. I highly recommend getting a massage and then dipping into the spa and sauna. Breakfast options are also great. I will definitely be staying here every time I come to La Paz! Thank you!
Everything was beyond perfect, food was great, drinks were delicious. We loved the rooftop, it has great views and the menu is perfect for an aperitivo. Our room had a lovely view of the hotel, and the decor was very nice. The cleaning staff do an above and beyond work and we were really impressed by their effort. Service was great and the hotel really transmits a peaceful atmosphere. Definitely will be back!
Really nice property very well located in La Paz. Peaceful oasis in front of the seawall.
Great hotel . Walking distance to restaurants and bars . Will stay here again
Muy lindo lugar, nuestra habitación estuvo a nivel de jardin y no tenemos queja alguna. El desayuno que incluye estuvo bien y rico. Lo único seria ponerle calefacción al agua de la piscina . Fuera de ahí todo genial
The property was very private with great amenities and the staff was extremely friendly.
Best in La Paz
The hotel is very conveniently located and it’s got great accommodations and service.
Concierge assistance was outstanding..
Our room was nice but was missing lots of essentials (eg towels, soap etc). They kept on piping music into the entrance but would stop if asked. Parking was promised but none available. Pretty sure this was an emergency room for overbooking but there was no recognition. Would not visit here again.
Loved this hotel! Very safe and clean. Great drinks and restaurants. Walking distance to stores and restaurants.
Great property.
The beach is across the street
Cleanliness
Room is small, dated and channels on TV would freeze.
X
Friendly staff, great amenities, and right in the heart of the Malecon. The rooftop bar has great views and is a cool experience.
beautiful hotel. however the air conditioning in our room didnt work when we arrived and the spa facilities were out of service and there was no warning of this . couldnt use sauna and such.
The property is beautiful but since is not the first time I stay, I feel that wear and tear starts to show. Also staff at the bar need to be more attentive to customer, I was standing at the bar waiting to order a drink while 2 employees were talking to each other and a third one fixing her makeup right there.
Wonderful spot
Great food and outstanding service. The sunset from the rooftop bar was incredible.
We had a great time
For La Paz, the best there is.
Property is in the middle of a dirty and unsafe location. Staff were not helpful at all. I paid for an ocean view balcony room and was put in a room with a view of the wall and back abandoned parking lot. I talked with the manager the next day and she offered $50 dollars when I paid over $600 for the room. I contacted expedia and they mentioned the property kept hanging up on them and we had to deal internally. Mediocre overpriced property. You are better off and safe at the hilton couple blocks down the street.
The rooms were very small. When we booked the reservation we were not told about the festival that was going on. Loud music going on until 2am.
Beautiful facility in a beautiful location. The staff was efficient and friendly.
Very stylish and comfy. Fantastic sunsets from the rooftop
Beautiful hotel ,Top location Highly recommended 😊
Lovely property in a great location. Decor and grounds were charming, and staff was very nice, especially Joshua at the rooftop bar. I didn't love the bed and wasn't smart enough to make the TV function properly. I booked an upgraded room with an interior view, which I would not recommend if you like natural like but also want privacy. My friend was in an entry level room which was more spacious and private. Pool was very cold and shaded after 1pm. Food was good and drink menu was excellent.
Layout of the rooms was inefficient. Very few of the rooms have a direct view of the Malecon. The credit for the continental breakfast was confusing and ended up costing much more than expected for items that weren't on the continental breakfast list.
Stolen bag, but great location.
Well had my cosmetic bag stolen from the room, so there is that. Place is nice though along with great location. Staff seemed sad everywhere and not very welcoming.
The hotel is amazing, with beautiful accommodations and great facilities. However, the service was disappointingly slow during my stay. Despite this, I would recommend it for the comfortable stay, with hopes for improved service in the future.
Highly recommend. Quiet and calming atmosphere. Staff and service were friendly and attentive.
Great place to stay in La Paz
The staff was friendly and helpful, nice specially Froilán he was the best
Simply Fabulous..... Perfect
This hotel is simply fabulous.... What can i say.... Must visit if you are in La Paz
I so wanted to love staying here.. alas did not..
I really wanted to love this hotel experience and sadly did not! The location and architecture was fantastic but that was were it ended. The service and interiors/comfort missed it completely. We booked the top suite and while we had a great view the room had an aweful smell. The room felt I decorated and a bed, a dining table for six , and a huge deck with two folding chairs and a dusty sofa don’t make an $800 a night room feel right… and aside from the poor decor and an uncomfortable mattress, the booming and pounding bass of the speakers from the roof deck bar above us, felt like they were positioned directly over the headboard.. as I started off saying.. this really could be an incredible hotel …setting, pool, overall design is gorgeous.. please address the service and comfort and you have a winner.
We had the best experience at Baja Hotel. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. Laying by the pool was our favorite. The staff would come ask if we needed any beverages or snacks while we were at the pool area. The rooftop at the hotel had the best seat in the house for sunsets. The staff was very helpful in getting us reservations for dinner. They also had great recommendations. The hotel is in a great location. We were walking distance from restaurants and other attractions.
Terrible view from room
The ratings did not match the property and it was very disappointing. The surrounding noise level was unbearable. Guests should be warned if there is a major event taking place across the street when they book the hotel. There was a volleyball tournament with loud music blaring that was going to go on until at least 9 pm. It wasn’t just loud music it was beyond loud. I have a video from the balcony that captures the ridiculous volume. The air conditioning in the room did not work. When I complained about the noise level the staff looked at me blankly and even upon arrival they were not very welcoming. The roads had been blocked off for the event which made getting to the hotel very difficult. It was advertised as having valet parking but that was not the case and the staff was not helpful with directions. I’m shocked that this place has good reviews. The room was very basic and not aesthetically appealing. The only good thing was the location to the ocean. I had to leave because of the noise level.
Unique hotel which has been developed to a very high and tasteful standard. The service was quick and efficient, but could have been friendlier at times.
Absolutely stunning hotel - gorgeous rooms, stylish pool, and fantastic service. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
they waiter and bell service is good
Excellent staff. Beautiful property. Rooftop is awesome. Food is yummy, especially breakfast. One weird thing is that you can see directly into the shower from the bedroom, there's no way to cover the window, could be weird for siblings or coworkers staying in the same room.
Nice hotel, but not worth the price. Terrible room they offered us for VIP Expedia Guest, with windows directly to the street and noisy, we asked for a change and they did change it. However, I think the amenities and service included (breakfast way too simple) is not worth the price. Definitely not recommendable for the price paid.
What an amazing hotel: lovely staff, great design, amazing location. The staff was able to help us with everything we needed, spa amenities were great. Two recommendations would be to have light music in the pool area and warmer hot tub in the spa area. Overall though the place is stunning and we were able to walk wherever & enjoy the beach outside the front door of the hotel.
Gorgeous oasis on the Malecon, the board walk along the beach. Hotel is fantastic, with spacious rooms, very well decorated, AC works brilliantly, spacious terraces, beautiful grounds and pool. This is a large private house which was converted into a boutique hotel and has all the beauty of a historical residence with all the modern amenities that matter most. The staff was incredibly friendly, responsive and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Highly recommended to sophisticated travelers who want to experience an authentic Mexican holiday in a 5* setting.
Beautiful hotel in La Paz. Friendly staff. In a great location, malecon right out the front door but inside a quiet sanctuary at night for a restful night sleep. Rooms/grounds very clean/ comfortable beds.
Pool was great and where we spent most of our time. The boardwalk was fabulous and directly across the street from the hotel. Bay waters were beautiful. The rooms were clean and very unique. Unfortunately, the wifi was out the entire time and very inconvenient especially as we were trying to reserve tours, taxis and finalize our air travel. Staff wasn’t particularly helpful when we asked if there was anywhere close by we could get wifi. One said there was a cafe down the street but didn’t give a name or provide detailed directions. Some of the staff kept giving contradictory direction about being able to drink by the pool. Maybe they were in training. The food at the restaurant was mediocre and we were up charged for breakfast which we were told was free. Had to point it out for them to take it off after we asked for the receipt. We got massages which were great. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the pool area made up for most of the issues we had.
Beautiful hotel right in the heart of it all!
Easy to get to on the Malecon. Quiet, modern, good restaurant, good bar, nice rooftop. Smallish pool with smallish rocks surrounding- ouch. Walk out the enormous front door , cross the street and fall into to Sea-ahh. One minute. Walkable restaurants. A non gringo town
Beautiful property! We stayed there Thursday through Saturday and found it to be very empty and quiet on the first two days. Almost lacking of ambience, it would have been nice to have music playing in the courtyard or pool area. Had dinner there one night and it was not good. The dinner menu is greek which is odd for a Mexican hotel chain. We asked for lamb medium rare and it came pretty rare. We sent it back and it was still not good when it came back. That lamb steak had to have been frozen, it was tough and not a good cut at all. The hummus platter was also not good. We had breakfast on another day and that was delicious!!
Beautiful design and ammenities.
Great location and design. Excellent service. The roof top bar at sunset is awesome. The breakfast was light, but tasty. However, we would have prefered something less grand, where you could just grab something and go instead of sit-down service.
Gorgeous, gorgeous hotel!
Most amazing hidden gem in La Paz! We will be back. The aesthetics, the service, the food, all of it! The outside is very unassuming and the inside opens up into a magical escape. The rooftop is a must visit.
Our stay was wonderful, however, when we checked in we were charged an incorrect price. We had to discuss it with them to make sure we were charged the correct price that we booked thru Hotels.com
Great spot, convenient and walkable to the rest of La Paz. Helpful staff and great food. The grounds were very clean and neat. Interesting to note that your room key also includes a "key" for the electricity in the room -- this made the key ring kind of bulky, but other than that, we would definitely stay here again.
An absolutely beautiful Hotel right on the Beachwalk. The only negative: The bed covers are way too small!!
It was an overall great experience. It’s a great hotel in the center of everything. The rooms are small- and a very weird layout but breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable. Our room was clean
Price doesn't match value
Unsure if the price is worth it. The hotel is beautiful and well located. But the room had issues like a faulty bathroom door, no commodities like iron or hairdryer. The included breakfast was quite poor and the jacuzzi and steam sauna weren't turned on. At the rooftop we were asked if we had a reservation when the place was clearly empty. I mean it was nice, just too pricey for the overall experience that you get.
Nice place to stay with a great location, it is within walking distance to everything in downtown La Paz. Rooms are nice and well designed. Price for value is not that good, and also the pool location is not very convenient to be able to fully enjoy it
Great hotel in an amazing location. I had initially booked the patio room but once we arrived we realized that it’s really just an extension of the downstairs public patio area which offered zero privacy and made us very uncomfortable so (after some discussions with reluctant hotel staff) they kindly upgraded us to a balcony room which was much more private. The rooms are very nice and don’t feel cramped, bed is comfy, but the bathroom is oddly configured with a separate toilet room with no sink (seemed extra strange post-pandemic). The included breakfast is a small plate of fruit, granola, yogurt, and a pastry — which was very good. Service was mixed (some staff seemed very new, some were great and very attentive). The pool isn’t heated but beautiful and shady for most of the day which is nice given how hot it is. The rooftop opens at 530 and serves excellent cocktails with a gorgeous view of sunset. Being right in the middle of the malecon is the perfect location to walk around and do things in town and have beautiful views of the beach and water. Would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful setting, excellent service, great breakfast. Location in the heart of the waterfront was very convenient.
Great style
Beautiful hotel ,great location and very stylish . Insonorisation needs to be worked on
It was a excellent and pleasurable stay at this hotel. It’s located in the center of La Paz and only an approximate thirty minute drive to La Playa Balandra. The hotel and rooms were absolutely beautiful and carried such a unique aesthetic. Even dining at their restaurant was an experience. The whole staff was so kind, professional and extremely accommodating. I would definitely come back!
Beautiful hotel in a very central area
Nice hotel, terrible service
The hotel is beautiful, facilities are awesome. The service is really bad.
Altamente decepcionante.
spacious room, friendly staff, great food, nice pool and excellent location
Amazing couple’s getaway
The hotel is amazing, excellent view and spot in town! We will be back soon!
Overpriced. Poor service at the restaurants. Not worth the price. The final checkout bill was also incorrect by almost $100. Luckily we checked the bill of materials and caught their mistakes.
