Very nice resort
Very poor service from the hotel senior staff
The hotel is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing but very removed from central udaipur so if you wanted to venture out to the lake, etc you would have to get a cab and its like a 30 minute journey. The breakfast buffest was average and the staff were not attentive at all. we were served curdled milk for our tea. You needed transport from your room to the restaurants or any other facilities as they were quite a hilly walk away from each other. that is why room service was also not very good as the food came very late and cold and they got our order wrong multiple times and took very long to correct the mistakes. The rooms are gorgeous and the view from the rooms is beautiful. we also really enjoyed the pool as it was not crowded at all there was noone there except us. overall a relaxing stay but would not order room service there again.
Everything was great.
Property itself is great with really good views of the city and lakes.
Good looking property
We booked Aurika for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. It beat all of our expectations. Its a beautiful hotel resort with excellent staff members. We really enjoyed the variiety of food available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The evening folk show also was excellent. Although slightly outside of the city. We preferrer this as its too loud in the city. We used a local auto to get around which worked out cheaper than hotel taxi's. The spa treatment also was the best I have experienced. Highly recommend
Everything
Property location is far from the main city. But it’s worth staying 5 star luxury. Hotel staff is very nice and cooperative and maintain a good hygiene. Breakfast has lot of options and all were good
This is a very lovely hotel. Just be aware that it is a 15-20 min journey to the old town, and can be tricky to get transport back at night. The hotel itself though is superb.
They can do better
First the good - Aurika is a beautiful property. The property itself is beautiful, you get the royal feeling of being in Rajasthan. The rooms are spacious and ours had a fantastic view. The not-so-good: The service. It started with the check in process which is much slower than most hotels I've traveled to. It is followed by several occurences of poor service including, calling the cart but it not always coming on time, the room service either coming late or not picking up the phone. At one time, I had to call them 9 times to get something delivered to the room. We asked for a yoga mat and were told it would arrive shortly, but it never arrived. The spa/fitness center didnt always have an attendant and the phone there was not working so I couldnt call for a cart and had to walk up to the restaurant to get one. I think everyone meant well but the general feel from all of the above was that they are short staffed. So, in short - great property but poor service.
Multiple hotels in India, most of them wonderful-this hotel was my biggest "regret." Problems: 1. It's not near town. Has a good view of town in the distance across the lake, but still, not convenient. They designed this hotel as a "destination." For us, Udaipur was the destination, not the hotel. 2. We paid for a veranda, but it had no view. 3. There was trash on the veranda, and the amenity bottles in the bathroom were only partially full, and clearly had been used. 4. Front desk gave us one time for breakfast, but the restaurant wasn't open. That might have been ok, but the staff in the restaurant were completely indifferent and unhelpful.
Water pressure was very slow around shower head calcium build up need to clean water goes everywhere
Service and cleaness
Great Location for the view
Very beautiful location but a bit far from the city. Be sure to get a room in block C for the best views!
Wonderful location and brilliant staff
Everything was amazing. The staff was incredible and the property is heaven.
Underwhelming experience for the cost
The arrival as you drive up to the hotel is 5*. The setting is breathtaking and the welcome party is top notch. That is where the 5* experience ended. The first room we were shown, while nice, had a young family next door and every sound from the TV, baby crying, parents talking, filtered through to our room. 45mins later we were shown a new room. The next morning at 9:00 we were woken by a banging noise outside... to find the cleaner a good 30metres down the corridor dusting. It seems this brand new hotel was not constructed with a view to much sound insulation for the rooms. The hotel staff need to stay inside the rooms to experience how noise travels into the rooms so they can work out how to operate for guest comfort. The property size means it’s necessary to get around by buggy. Every time we called from the room, waited 5-10mins, went downstairs, and then had to wait another 5mins where the guard repeated our request. There is no seating downstairs so you have to stand around. I managed to order an Ola that reached the hotel in 10mins, and I was still waiting for the buggy which I ordered at the same time. Other touches like car doors being opened when we pulled up in our non-hotel car, lobby doors being held open, etc were also absent. Hotel cars were not easily available which is a shortcoming for it being out of town. Restaurant/reception staff were fantastic. I would unlikely stay here again, and definitely not as a base to explore Udaipur.
Stunning Fort on the Aravallis
Stunning Property which we discovered by fluke as it is mint new and they are not advertising it much.. We had a horrible experience upon checking into our original booking of Radisson Blu which is super run down and badly managed. We had a huge relief as we walked into this hotel blindly without knowing anything based solely on word of mouth buzz this property has generated over last years that it has been under construction building this fascinating Fort away from the crowds of the lake and on the gorgeous Aravalli mountains. Special thanks to their pleasant and super friendly Manager on duty that day - Mr. Mihir Parmar who washed away our blues within seconds of us arriving. Since it opened just about a week ago, we had our doubts if they are ready for showtime.. but what a show it was.. We were very impressed by the service and standards these guys put up.. Wish we had a longer stay but we still managed to eat amazing food and refreshed in the Spa. Their GM - Mr. Rahul Korgaokar is an entertaining conversationalist and presented a wonderful memento of Udaipur upon checkout. And lastly, thank you to Mr. Rattan Singh for never getting tired of driving us in your buggy. We will come back next year. Good luck and best wishes to Team Aurika.
Our main purpose to visit the property was to see the venues for a wedding. Upon check in we asked the front desk if we can set up appointments with sales manager to look at the venues and prices. The front desk told us we will let them know so they can meet you the next day. Next day we called the front desk 4 different times to see if we can meet the sales manager yet they said she is busy and will call back. We waited the whole day wasting our time for a call back which did not even happen. Then at dinner time we went to the front desk and they gave us her number to contact directly and we did so. We left a message but she did not even message back or anything. Upon check out the we told the front desk what happened and they said we will tell her to give you a call on the number on file. We are still waiting for that call. No wonder why the hotel does not get any wedding sales business because the sales department is too damn lazy. On the bright side, the rest of the staff were great and friendly, the hotel itself is great.
