This hotel was absolutely beautiful and historic. It was in a great location to walk to all the other historical sites. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The beds and rooms were comfortable.

Staff are 10 Star, It’s a exceptional hotel with Warm and Friendly Staff who make you feel like family. Breakfast, food , Conceirge and room all to a exceptional standard.

Quaint, quiet, elegant. Very polite, attentive staff.

The Augustine was a terrific place to stay in Prague. The room was great (and spacious). The staff (especially the morning restaurant crew) was very nice. The hotel itself felt nice - not too big and a nice oasis. The location was a huge plus - access to all of Mala Strana was fantastic, and yet getting across the bridge(s) to Old Town was very easy.

Property was beautiful and the rooms were elegant and well appointed. The heated bathroom tile floor was a plus for our January stay. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Our dinner was superb. Fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.

The hotel staff went above and beyond in greeting us upon arrival. We were offered a welcome drink and we were greeted not only by the reception desk staff, but also the hotel manager an concierge. The hotel is built inside a former monestary and maintains some of the original architectural elements. Our room was quite large as wall the beautiful marble bathroom. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

It is a great luxurious hotel property. We like it’s style and it’s quality. It is not your contemporary type but solid excellence. The staffs are very well trained, professional, courteous and helpful. This culture goes from front desk, to restaurant, bell, concierge and housekeeping, love it love it. The place was great - close to everything and had a fabulous breakfast. The staff were also very helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.

The Augustine is hands-down one of the loveliest hotels I’ve experienced. Ever. The former-monastery property and the rooms are gorgeous. The staff is incredibly warm and professional. And the food and the bar are top-notch. And it’s right near all the action of Old Town but secluded from the craziness. Absolutely a 5-star experience.

A gem of a hotel - highly recommend

This hotel is amazing! The grounds and rooms are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We were upgraded to a deluxe room because of my Marriott Bonvoy account and couldn’t have been happier. The room and bathroom was huge, with a lovely view of the courtyard. The room had a king bed and desk and chaise lounge. Even with all the furniture it felt spacious. And the bathroom had double sinks, a soaking tub, rainfall shower and bidet. We received breakfast for free because of the hotels.com package and it was excellent. All of the staff were gracious and accommodating. I had mentioned it was my birthday and they had a delicious chocolate cake waiting for me in the room. In terms of location, it’s situated on the castle side and close to everything. It is right near the tram tracks so need to be a little careful when walking around. However, when you’re in the hotel you’d have no idea you were on the tram line. It is one of the quietest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be doing just that on my next trip to Prague. Rarely do you come across a place like this, that has no fault. It is a true 5 star experience.

Augustine Prague - a real gem

Augustine is a wonderful luxury hotel very close to St Charles Bridge. The staff are all wanting to assist, the meals are great and the room was very comfortable.

The reservation staff is very rude and unreasonable. The communication comes nothing close to a luxury hotel standard and disregard the fact that this is hospitality business. She was neither helpful nor willing to help. In the end, she even stated the she was instructed by the Head of Revenue to behave as such and suggested we should contact him instead.

We liked everything about the Augustine. The staff was so acomodating. One staff member that really stood out was Dan. He gave us an overview of the hotel and Prague in general upon check in and was always there to help with any needs throughout the week. Excellent employee! Our room was always clean, as was the hotel and grounds. We had drinks, a brunch and some dinners there and the food was very good. The location of the hotel was safe, clean and accessible to many of the Prague hot spots. Things close by were the Charles Bridge, the Prague boats, the Prague castle and more. Absolutely wonderful experience at the Augustine. We would highly recommend.

We loved that it was super close to Old Town without being in the midst of the busy Prague tourist district. We had a problem with a noisy room initially but it was so quickly resolved that I cannot be critical. We ended up in the original Monastery part of the hotel which made if that much more special. We really loved this hotel and would happily recommend it.

From the moment we arrived the hospitality was fantastic, we upgraded our room for a view of the castle, after the concierge showed us available rooms, apparently I didn’t book a room with a view, oh well. Since this was our first visit to Prague I thought it was well worth it! Room was extremely comfortable and well appointed, location couldn’t have been better, as well as providing a welcome relief from the crowds of tourists and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend the hotel!

A Prague Gem!

It was our first time in Prague - and the Augustine was the perfect choice. Not only a beautiful hotel, with exemplary service and FRIENDLY staff and GM (we chatting with him at breakfast one morning), but perfectly located for our walking and tram explorations of this marvelous city. They even upgraded our room to a suite upon arrival (it was slow season, so that helped!). And the St. Thomas beer is fabulous.

My family of 6 adults and 2 small children spent a week at the Augustine, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Prague. It was close enough to the Charles bridge and easy access to public transportation. We spent every day sightseeing and wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of the city, but were always welcomed to the serene, quiet calm environment that is the Augustine. Our rooms were clean and luxurious. The staff was friendly, taking great care to meet our needs.

The Augustine is immaculate and very conveniently located. It is a former monastery. Our room was amazing, spacious, and the bathroom was even larger than our masterbath in our home with every conceivable need covered. We also used the spa and the massage was great and reasonable priced. Finally, the staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure your every need was met. The Chef's four-course meal was wonderful as was the breakfast each morning. I highly recommend the Augustine and it will be where I stay on each trip to Prague!

Nice boutique hotel with a very knowledgeable and friendly concierge, Michal. Experience marred by the constant noise and vibration of the tram service right outside my room window.

Luxury hotel

An amazing experience at this hotel, everyone was really lovely and as it was my partners birthday a cake was brought to the room. The lady on the reception desk that checked us in was so informative and the 2 men on the door to take our bags and greet us were absolutely amazing. Always had big smiles and took an interest in our day. The manager was lovely and made us feel welcome. All in all a good strong team from entry to eating, to bedroom turn down, to leaving at 0430 in the morning there was never a miserable face and nothing was too much effort.

Overrated

Bit pricey and overrated. Location was great but did not have a grand feel and look of the place so not of a castle that we’re looking forward to . Not having a sweet making pool was a bit of a disappointment

Ancient setting with modern comfort.

The Augustine is perfectly located. The hotel room and bathroom were extremely comfortable and modern. We had an excellent cocktail in the bar and the staff was incredibly helpful with recommendations and reservations. This hotel is successful in combining ancient and contemporary which creates an outstanding stay in Prague. The one thing to be aware of is the tram noise. Be prepared with ear plugs or set the hvac to the fan setting if you are a light sleeper.

Great hotel, truly five star...

The hotel was absolutely beautiful - from the architecture, sculptures throughout the hotel and the grounds and the gardens. The room was quite spacious as was the bathroom. The location of the hotel was ideal - just a few minutes from the Charles Bridge and a short walk to reach the steps of the castle. It was also extremely quiet. The staff was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable, providing amazing restaurant recommendations.

Great hotel!

From start to finish our stay at The Augustine was delightful. Prosecco upon arrival, lovely food, great service & a surprise birthday cake for my husband. We struggled to decide between The Augustine, Mandarin Oriental & The Four Seasons but were more than happy with our eventual choice. Excellent location for all attractions & very good restaurants nearby. Our long weekend stay was all we could have hoped for.

hotel Augustine- a hotel to remember

This hotel has to be one of the best hotels i have personally stayed in. The staff went above and beyond with everything. Prior to my arrival they help me organise trips arrange meals as special surprises for my partners visit. on arrival staff could not do enough for you. They even left there work stations to give us a quick tour of the unique monks brewery cave like converted to a bar at the bottom of the hotel. In fact though out my whole stay i could not fault anything about this hotel! If i return to Prague i will most definitely be booking into the hotel Augustine again.

Excellent hotel. On negative was the hotel staff were of no help arranging a taxi for me when I was stranded at Prague train station. At a minimum would have expected them to provide the number of a cab service or call one for me.

The thing I enjoyed at the hotel from the moment we arrived until when we left was how professional all the staff we had interaction with was,friendly but not familiar,knowledgeable and just really polite. I looked at staff members a lot and enjoyed their demeanor which showed pride in their work place and environment. Our room was spotless and remained that way everyday.

Beautiful Luxury Hotel in Prague

We went for a short break in Prague. The hotel is beautiful ex monastery in an ideal location by the castle in Prague. The hotel was excellent (great staff, very clean rooms, comfortable beds) and even had their own beer (St Thomas) which was delicious. I would stay here again if I came to Prague!

Centrally located, luxury hotel

Extremely accommodating staff. Excellent breakfast. Also, while we did not take advantage of this, the hotel was apparently a monestary at one time and we could have viewed their library. They brewed their own beer as well and the hotel bought the recipe and serves the beer in their bar.

Nice hotel close to Prague Palace

The Augustine is the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at. It was exceptionally quiet, clean and luxurious. I'm glad we splurged on this one! We didn't eat at the restaurant, choosing instead to walk a few blocks to the local cafes and shops, so I don't know about the quality of the food. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Quiet oasis steps away from sights.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very helpful. It's right next door to the Walkenstein Palace gardens, the Charles Bridge and down the hill from the Castle. Short walk to Old Town square. The only disappointment was the lovely vaulted underground bar is now closed to public only private functions and there is no jacuzzi or hot tub to relax in after all the walking.

Perfect, luxury weekend break

Excellent hotel and one of the nicest cities I have visited. Staff were fantastic, treat us like VIPs from the moment we got there to when we left (welcome prosecco was a nice touch). The hotel in general is faultless, it surpassed our high expectations from reading reviews and we were very impressed. Would definitely stay again would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a bit special.

LOVED this hotel !! Everything was wonderful from the service to the spa to the restaurant to the room. Everything was excellent.

Character, comfort, and style

We stayed for a long weekend and found the Augustine a perfect fit for our short holiday. The staff was attentive and friendly without being too forward. Even though the old brewing location for the St. Thomas lager is now reserved for private events, the concierge was kind enough to take us down to the old monks' quarters for a private tour when we asked - which I'm glad we did! Beautiful space and would be excellent for a 30-40 person private party. We made use of the spa, restaurant, and bar and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Easy to get to anywhere in Prague from this location. I would happily stay here again.

Outstanding friendly service in a lovely historic & upscale locale.

ACs don't work, conierge is not great

For the price you pay for this hotel its not great. The ACs just don't seem to work - we complained thrice and every time they came and fixed the thermostat reading but it just never got cool in room - we couldn't sleep in the nights it was so hot. Further the bed was really uncomfortable - got a backache cause if it. And lastly the concierge, while assisting with everything we asked for really had no decent recommendations of her own - tripadvisor was a way better advisor for restaurants and things to do. On the plus side the hotel was charming, but located on the other side of Prague bridge so it was a short walk to all the activity.
