The staff was very friendly and the room was a great size for me and my partner. We would book again in the future.
Buena ubicación. Metro a 2 cuadras a pie. Lo malo es que llegamos 1:45pm y como el check-in era 2pm y no nos dejaron entrar hasta entonces a la habitación.
Parking was a bit confusing but once that was figured out the hotel itself and the area was excellent
This is a tiny hotel with a lovely breakfast area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was very close to the metro and it was 15 minutes to the center of Paris. The neighborhood was very quiet and residential with lots of dining choices
Just a meh experience overall, terrible walk up. Everything was old, bad outlets
Good location, close to metro station. Room was extremely small, couldn’t sit straight on toilet without hitting the wall but acceptable for a short break and convenient for accessing tourist sites
Street noise too loud.
Look, I can't speak to other travellers' experiences but this hotel was really good. A friendly staff, a good breakfast service and a mostly comfortable room. My only issue was that the bathroom is rather small and the shower was a little cramped. A good place to stay if not a little far from the main Paris attractions.
Pernety is a wonderful area to stay within! Plenty to do, with a wonderful street market I was so lucky to attend!
Absolutely disgusted paid a lot of money for my stay with my family paid for air conditioning, baby cot and a good night of sleep but I got the oppoisite they took my money but they had no air condition no baby cot so I had to sleep my baby on a double bed where there was no space. Spoke to staff all he did was apologise and not do anything about it. No manger when you ask for one they just look around like it’s a rocket science question. Never again no access for push chair because lift didn’t work the first day disgusting.
Clean, compact room in a local area in a Parisian suburb. Ten minutes walk from Montparnasse station. Room was compact, clean and comfortable with a portable cooling tower, small fridge and hairdryer. Staff we met were pleasant and helpful. The only issue we had was a weak shower and a loose shower door which came off its runners! This was reported to the staff. Ideal for a quick stopover. !
Easy access to public transport from hotel. During our 4night stay they told AC is not working & we’re free to cancel the booking at check-in. We travelled long hours and couldn’t bothered to book another at that moment. They’ve provided a fan which was handy but it’s a shame we booked for AC & it was not working. Since room is bit smaller than you expect , good for only 1 person.
I had a very disappointing stay. The room was tiny and the toilet was dirty. It was incredibly noisy, making it difficult to sleep, and the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. Additionally, the reception staff were rude. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. i dont recomment
Airconditioning was not working but a fan was provided. The staff were very accommodating. 2minute walk to Metro, it was so easy for tranport to Olympic venues
No a/c and same spiel of it not working and being ok as fans where in rooms heard being quoted to several other patrons. Options were that we could cancel booking and go elsewhere or just put up with it. Reviews prove this has been the case for quite some time. No kettle in room. Small stuffy rooms. Felt very unsafe when dining in the immediate surrounding area. Adjoining room confirmation did not come to fruition. Build up of dust etc in corners of bathroom. Beds were comfortable.
We got the hotel for the use of the air conditioning as said online. When we got there we were told there was no air conditioning. We asked for another room that has air conditioning but apparently the WHOLE hotel didn't have any at all. My son had an azma attack because of this problem and inconvenience
Room was smaller than expected based on photos. Avg size for European hotel.
A pleasant little hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. It is very close to the Metro station and the street has several cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was clean and in good condition.
the room are not clean. i couldn't sleep the last day i was there
Perfect location close to many restaurants and the metro.
The property is well done and clean. The staff was efficient, friendly and very helpful especially at reception . The room itself however was very small.. Smaller than it looks in the pictures.
Review
The location is good but hotel elevation is so obscured. Hotel rooms and bed are too small for a couple. The staff were helpful.
The hotel itself is very nice but parking is a bit of an issue. It’s within 3 min walking distance but the key needs to be collected from the reception and then dropped off straight after which adds time.
The rooms are tired and need a refresh, the air conditioning doesn’t work but fortunately the staff found us a fan. The surrounding location has everything you need but it is a few kilometres to the main centre and attractions.
The location was super convenient, the metro stop was around the corner, coffee shops, restaurants and stores around, place was very nice and quiet, also reception is open 24/7.
Lovely staff and very helpful. Clean and everyday they make your bed and give you fresh towels. When you leave to go out they take your key so no responsibility for looking after your key! Room way lovely for 4 night stay. 2 minute walk from metro and very easy to get food and snacks. They offer breakfast and have out door seating area. Security really good as doors lock so have to buzz the bell to get in which is a great idea so no one can randomly come in. Over all lovely stay and would definitely come back!
Easy to access the Metro, close to Montparnesse train station which were two of my must-haves. Friendly staff, breakfast each morning was convenient before I ventured out. My room was a bit noisy but that was more a product of facing the street. As a woman traveling alone I felt safe, comfortable.
It has a warm and welcoming feeling, I loved staying there
Noise isolation suffers.
.
Overall our stay here was good. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was cleaned daily, and room was generally clean, except toilet seat was broken and shower made a really scary noise when you turned it on. Walls are extremely thin too. Metro station was less than a five minute walk which was really convenient, and there is plenty of restaurants/ pubs around.
Not the best
I was disappointed when arriving in our room. Most of the pictures in this listing are from higher rate rooms so it wasn't very clear what we were getting. The size was fine - we stayed at 4 hotels on our trip between London and Paris. I did not want to shower in here - the shower head was dirty and there was mold on the grout. The ceiling above the shower was also moldy and dirty. The toilet seat wasn't screwed in and kept slipping. The safe didn't work, the window was new. The bed and linens were comfortable. there was a crack in the mirror in the wardrobe which was fine but there. They were very understanding when I told them and assured me I wouldn't be charged. The noise was terrible. I expected noise based on many reviews of European hotels but this was terrible. It repeatedly sounded like someone was trying to enter our room when entering the next room and the slam was so loud it startled us awake multiple times. They did not have cards to enter the rooms but keys so it especially sounded like someone was coming in the room when it was next door. Staff was friendly but I wouldn't stay here again. decent access to metro but it seems everywhere in Paris is and good markets avaialable
The list of positives for this hotel are not very long: location is good and close to many shops and restaurants, hotel feels safe due to the 24/7 reception and staff are helpful and that's about it. Now the issues: it's very over priced for what you get, the rooms are very badly designed with worst possible use of space, it looks good for a few moments when you walk in for the first time, but then you realise nothing is functional, a tiny toilet (I really mean tiny, not enough room for my knees with door closed) right next to your bed. a big plastic soaking bath tub in the middle of the room with no overhead shower, enclosure or curtains. so every time you try to use the the roo. it is all wet and steamy and you are freezing! there was also a sink in the room next to the tub with the worst ever tap design I have ever seen, a long chrome pillar that comes out of the floor to the hight of the sink and there is incredibly stiff ring around the top of it that you have to twist to open the tap, there is no adjustment for hot and cold you just get boiling hot water after a while. on top of the poor design, everything is in horrible condition and not maintaied, the tub was loose and moved about, taps where loose and leaking and I felt something was going to snap ever time I touched something. there was a lot of mould around the tub as well. A/C was broken too. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone.
Excellent value for money. Staff very helpful. Many good restaurants within a few blocks. Metro two blocks. Will return
Its good not that much bad but they charge me 2euro for one cola don't drink in hotel room
Friendliness and efficiency of all the staff.
It was ok , bathroom was really very cramped and broken. There was not enough room lighting. Very dark. Transport was very easy. If you travelling in metro or taxi . Staff was really very helpful.
My hotel bathroom and room flooded after a five minute shower because the drain didn’t work properly. The floor just outside the bathroom very clearly had water damage/buckling, indicating this is not the first time this issue has presented. The pillows were super old and bunched up inside, rooms are impossibly small, the window wouldn’t close, the phone in my room did not work, so after flooding had to go down to find someone to help me. They told me to go back in the room and wait. Staff were nice enough but conditions of the hotel were just unacceptable.
Cheap and cheerful. Shower was good, TV in room, aircon was out but the bed was clean and comfortable. 5 mins walk from Train Station.
Great location and lovely staff.
Really lovely and friendly staff. Location is perfect! Lots of amenities just outside the hotel. Very close to the metro. The bed is quite small though but not too bad! Unfortunately, the AC in the room was not working, and it did get quite hot. The electric fan was not strong enough.
on the internet they put some conditions on the establishment is another And no air-conditioning
Hidden Gem
We stayed here for 5 nights for a work trip and it was perfect. Amazing staff, very clean, great location. Would definitely stay again!!
My boyfriend and I had a fantastic 3 nights staying here to explore Paris! the area was amazing, nice and quiet and you can easily access transportation, not too close to the main city which we loved. Spectacular staff! so helpful and came home every night with a nice clean room, amazing service. we will be definitely coming back here again !
Three things make me to mark the hotel low: 1. The room is very small, 2. Air conditioner did not work 3. Extra money needs to pay except for on-line payment
The rooms were nice.
The air conditioning was broken during our entire stay -- so it was hot. It was also very loud because we were above the courtyard, even more so because we had to keep the windows open. ACs sometimes break, yes, but we saw this as an extension of generally poor upkeep and reluctance to spend money on improvements. For example, when I opened the window for air, the curtain rod fell off the wall and hit me in the head because it wasn't securely attached, just balanced in place. The faucet was loose, the light fixtures were unstable, etc. Would strongly recommend staying elsewhere. However, the staff were really nice and the location was terrific.
Only issue was poor to non-existent AC
Wall too thin. Everyone can hear each other. AC, mini fridge, phone, heated towel rack all never work
- Walking distance of less than an hour to almost everywhere in downtown Paris. - Very lovely neighbourhood with lot of bakeries. - Very helpful staffs. are three positive comments that I have in my memory. The only issue was a lot of stairs on the section of hotel that our room was located.
Needs description and pictures updated
We stayed here becuase the place looked cute and thought it be convenient. At check in it went normal they gave us the key told us about their breakfast 12 euros per person then we went to our room this is where the issues was the bathroom door had no handle on the inside so you couldnt close it they came and put a temporary handle on the next day that wasnt screwed in correctly so kept falling off we had to have each other close it from the outside or at night hold it shut with your foot and they still say nothing was wrong with the room. The pictires dont fully match with wjat room you book as the pictures show a suite with a bathtub and a seperate shower in a room you get the bath and a room with just a toilet and a small sink. The air conditioning didnt work at first but we changed the batteries in the remote and it kinda worked just ot the best. It also says on here that you can request a refrigerator which you dont they dont offer that service. One annoying issue was the key we went and came as usual the first 4 days on the 5th the employee said its their policy to keep the key behind the desk we was not informed of that until day 5 or if we lost it we would have to pay 200 euros. The location isnt too bad but if you want more of a convenient locstion i would suggest staying somewhere else. The staff was a little rude at time and if you had a complaint go to hotels.com not them.
Great people running the show - convenient and price is right !
A charming little hotel with friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable with lots of character and in an excellent location!
Nice place
Nice staff . Breakfast room was too cold for us so we ate elsewhere second day
Very nice room close to transit.
4/5
Hotel was really nice and clean. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Close to a metro station and lots of restaurants. I felt safe in the neighbourhood as a young female walking around alone. My only complaint was the noise level. The doors were heavy and the walls are thin. Every time someone opened their door I would hear it slam shut.
Imagine coming to a new country expecting a warm welcome and being treated like beggars. This is how we were treated. We checked in the night and our room and found it to be ice cold,we were not informed at the time of check in that the heating was not working. We reached out to the front desk, more desperatey because I was down with fever and suffer from asthma. We were not given a new room or a portable heater and had to sleep in the cold room. When we spoke to the manager in the morning to escalate this he said he will try to get it fixed today but we asked why were we not informed about this before checking. I had to take my inhalers multiple times in the night to which he replies well that is not my problem. I told him that we were not expecting this after spending so much as it felt like sleeping out in the road and he said well than you should go and sleep on the road. I have never faced something like this before and my whole trip was unpleasant because of this one guy. The Property Manager who comes in the morning is AN ABSOLUTE INHUMANE BEING. The security people were being nice. The property in itself is average but close to necessities.
Good experience!!
Staff was professional and amiable, attended to our every need promptly. Great location: close to metro and great restaurants and cafes to eat. Room size is comparable to other European accommodations which may be tight but it’s workable!
The room was clean, location was great! Close to the train station
Simple hotel in Montparnasse station neighborhood
Situated in very safe area. Many shops, brasseries, restaurants in vicinity. Staff was very polite and helpfull.
Upon arrival we were informed that A/C was not working in the hotel. Rooms are equipped with individual split A/C units, so it is ridiculously hard to believe that all units went bad at the same time. The weather was nice enough to sleep with the windows open, but the area was noisy so not a great solution.
Poor hotel rooms
When we arrived we had to pull up in the middle of the road to phone the hotel to ask about parking as we rang up before hand and the guy said parking was on sit and we would see it. We couldn’t see it so my partner had to go in and leave me in the car as there is no parking only disabled outside to get the key for the car park and instructions on where to go, we then parked. On entry to the hotel we was told there was no air con with no apology, it was a 30 degree weekend. The rooms were literally like ovens. The room we got given was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in which was so flash advertised and nothing like the photos, the floor boards were broken and there was mould. There was no room to even open a suitcase, I don’t know if we just got a bad room because we arrived so late. I checked to see if any other rooms were available but there wasn’t any as it was sold out. This ruined the start of the trip for us, the staff were friendly through tho. Also a nightmare as we left we had to walk to take the bags back and get the car then pull up infront of the hotel again and run out to give the key back. Really not a good system
No air conditioning when the weather is 35 degrees outside. It was 32 in the room, unacceptable.
The hotel was in a fantastic location, less than a minute walk to the metro station, surrounded by several eateries and shops. The hotel itself was lovely. However, we purposefully booked a hotel with aircon during our summer stay. We stayed on 4 of the hottest days of the year, when the heat reached 40’ and the aircon didn’t work the whole time. We went down to reception for updates on it being fixed and we kept being told ‘tomorrow’. Our room was at the front of the property in a very busy area and it was quite loud outside during the night so we couldn’t have our windows open to cool down. When you’ve had long days of seeing a city you hope to get back to your hotel and have a good nights rest, this was impossible and really impacted our trip. We asked staff if we could move rooms to be away from the main road so we could open windows, we got the same ‘tomorrow’ response, but when we approached the subject the next day, it didn’t happen. We weren’t supplied with fans or helped in any way. There was also no hot water so had to bathe in freezing cold water…. Which maybe doesn’t seem so bad because of the weather…. But hot and cold water facilities are a standard anywhere you go. Unsure if we would stay here again, maybe this was an isolated issue, but the way the staff didn’t seem to want to help …. we didn’t feel valued as customers.
Clean, terrific location, friendly staff. Room small but adequate.
Thank you very much! The suite was spacious, only the bathroom was tiny. The bed was really comfortable. Pretty good hotel and reasonably priced for Paris. Thanks
Nice, clean hotel with a good selection (of mostly Japanese) surrounding it
Nice room and breakfast. Parking is off site
This is real Paris.
Great location in Montparnasse. Really in the community and feels like real Paris. Good selection of proper local bars. In particular, the one on the corner is a little gem,
Overall ok. Room very small. Soundproof is very bad
As advertised
I liked the location and the fact that the Metro station was 1.5 blocks away from the hotel. Also, the area seemed to have more diverse dining options than other areas of Paris that I visited.
👍
Booked that place because it had a good look and price. We had an amazing week. It's really not worth it to pay a lot and be closer to downtown, paris is super walkable and the metro very good too.
All is perfect
Great location in a street with all the food amenities you require with a great boulangerie, restaurant and brasserie literally 2min walk. clean and quiet rooms and good beds. Great base to visit Paris and obviously much cheaper than a 4 or 5 star hotel.
Would go again
Alright location, not many things to do around there except for the catacombs and tour montparnasse. Very close to the metro station. Staff were really nice and helpful. Room was amazing and very clean. A bit too expensive for what is it, but overall very good.
The room was very small and uncomfortable. Location was good and lobby was nice but the photos don’t show how tiny it actually is.
Pleasant stay
Pleasant stay. Slept well. The room was clean and functional.
good safe friendly hotel if solo female
nice friendly small hotel , no kettle in room difficult to get a cup of tea with milk! helpful staff nothing was too much bother had problems with the safe staff always came to sort problem promptly. felt safe as a business trip solo female, would definately stay again.
This place was awful
This place was very small. It said average cost per night but for a single Thurs night I was charged 3xs the amount in the off peak season. When I called to complain they said I choose a more expensive night and there was no refunds. There is no way this place was worth what we had to pay. The tile grout in the shower was black with mold, it was gross. Would not stay there again
I paid and due to train strike we didn't make it.
small hotel
hotel located in quit street. rooms are small but adequate. The metro is a few minutes walk away and this brings the whole city closer. takes about an hour from the airport
We really enjoyed our stay at the Atelier Montparnasse. The area is great if you don't want to be in the super touristy area. There are shops all around the area, great restaurants and there is a metro stop less than a block away. The staff at the Atelier Montparnasse were very welcoming and attentive. The room was cozy and had everything you needed. We look forward to staying at the Atelier Montparnasse on our next visit to Paris.
Great location and room
Cozy room.
I like everything about the hotel it was clean and and the people who worked there are very good
Good service and good room. There was a plumbing issue while I was there but the staff handled it well. These things happen!
Great location, friendly staff, extremely comfortable !
Disappointing
Rooms far too small and no sound proofing. You can hear absolutely everything from the neighbouring rooms, including the one above.
The property has a great location with the Pernety metro station within one block so access within Paris by metro is very convenient. The location is near to small fruit stand markets, a boulangerie/bakery, pharmacy etc, so access to these things is great. The room is basic, if you get the basic room, but quite small but was clean and comfortable. European rooms tend to be small so I expect the size to be small. I have stayed at the hotel before and liked it. One issue was that we prepaid our room through Expedia but at check out were told we had to pay an additional tax. I paid it, but feel strongly that prepaying the room should include all fees. The location is great, so I would recommend the hotel for the price paid.
Excellent Stay
We had a wonderful stay! Rooms are small, as can be expected in an urban city but it was always clean with towels and sheets changed daily. Shower was excellent! Service was friendly and accommodating and breakfast was quite good. We loved the area as there were many cafes, restaurants, patisseries and Boulangeries.
All was like the pics. Bathroom was unusually small. Shower leaked and so small it a squeeze to get into. I am a small woman and could barely turn around in it. Great location to Metro. Nice neighborhood
The room was very small. The bathroom in the first room we had was impossibly small. Thankfully, they moved us to another room with a larger bathroom but the room itself was still very small with only a single small closet and no drawers to put any clothes. This room might be okay for a single traveler on a short stay, but it was challenging to two people staying five nights.
Room was clean with a great bath tap, friendly staff
Very clean room and kind staff. Excellent location to anywhere. But walls are really thin, so you can even hear the noses of every move that a person staying in the next door makes. Except for it, i was satisfied with everything.
No too happy
The room was small and we had ants in our room, the service wasn’t very nice, lack of smile and polites, the only good thing was that I got ubrealla from reception on a rainy day but over priced for sure!
The elevator stopped working day 2 of 6. We stayed on the last floor which was very inconvenient each and every time. We asked to be moved since the elevator wouldn’t be fixed til tha
I loved the location of this property. The subway was easily accessible. The hotel room was small but it really didn't matter to me. Great staff.
The property was in an ideal location; a two minute walk from the metro, with a range of restaurants, bars and small shops around the immediate area.

The convenient was spot on for our needs.
