A true gem in Gouvia

Stunning hotel with very friendly attentive staff, amazing quality dinner and breakfast buffet with large variety offered, and very beautiful decor with attention to detail, loved the lighting. Really nice pool too. Will be definitely coming back.

Two night stay

Fabulous, very spacious rooms with great bedding, excellent air conditioning and super clean. Great high end toiletries. Really fabulous breakfast selection and beautiful pool area.

Lovely hotel with a great pool area. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants of Gouvia. We stayed two nights and then caught the ferry to the mainland which was really easy.

Lovey relaxed hotel

Very nice quiet hotel, the pool is great and very relaxed. Would say it’s aimed more at adults or families with older kids. We had a family bungalow with a private pool, which was great. Very spacious and modern. Service was very good and staff were very helpful. We had the full board option and the food was good, although became a little repetitive after a few days, although it is a small hotel, so difficult to provide too many options. Would definitely stay here again.

Only there for one full day but a great stay! All the staff were very friendly and helpful, they arranged a taxi for us for our early flight as well as putting together a breakfast for us to take to the airport! The room was lovely and comfortable, breakfast had great options, and the pool area is lovely with a great chilled atmosphere and you could order drinks which they would bring to your sun lounger which were lovely - we loved the pool so much we ended up spending our day in Corfu there instead of the beach! Only wish we were staying longer!

Great hotel

Hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy. Staff were amazingly friendly and attentive. We were well looked after. Hotel is near a supermarket, bus stop and the village which has cash points. We were half board and there was a good selection for vegetarians. The only thing we didn’t like was all the inflatables in the pool. Personally for us, a hotel that doesn’t have young children is nicer if you can relax or swim in the pool rather than be splashed and bashed into. Otherwise, we loved it here and would recommend it. Thank you for looking after us!!

The property is really high quality, especially compared to others in the Gouvia area. It feels luxurious. The rooms were clean and nice. I felt they could use a bit more storage however, as we mainly had to live out of our suitcases (an extra set of drawers would have been really useful, and there weren’t many hangers). The bed was also very firm and not especially comfortable - but I’ve found this to be the case across Corfu so not specific to this hotel. The staff were very kind, accommodating, knowledgeable and left us to it, they weren’t too in our faces which I appreciated. The check-in and check-out processes were very calm. The dining in the hotel was £35pp per night I believe - which is a little expensive considering there is a lot of dining in the area for a much cheaper price. I would definitely recommend this hotel though.

Lovely stay. Staff were accommodating and helpful in booking transfers to the port.

Absolutely loved this hotel. We had a bungalow with a private pool. Every detail of this hotel is just lovely. The food buffet is excellent and we chose to have dinner there most nights because it was simply better than the restaurants in the area. The pool is really and they have fun live music on the weekend. We did not go to the beach that was near the hotel as there are nicer ones on other parts of the island but it was very convenient when we wanted to do a boat trip. Big recommend for this amazing hotel!

great pool and room

A well run hotel

A very well maintained hotel with touches of luxury. Beautiful pool area , and decor. Food was varied and excellent buffet for breakfast and dinner. The small pool cafe was well run and never seemed crowded. The only drawback is that Gouvia beach needs a clean up, and there' s a main road to cross before getting to the village.

I loved this hotel. Spotlessly clean, beautiful and friendly. It's only a 15 minute drive to Corfu town and 20 minutes to the airport. Gouvia beach is pretty and child friendly. It's about 6 minutes walk from the hotel, where there are many restaurants, chemist etc. The breakfast buffet is the best I've seen anywhere. Amazing. I'd highly recommend this hotel. Michelle 10/10

Had a great stay the breakfast was very solid and easy walk to one of the beaches and plenty of good food options!

Only stayed the night but definitely coming back. The staff were lovely, poolside was relaxing, the room itself was clean, spacious and fantastic view (stayed in a bungalow). Great choice at breakfast and the landscape around was calming and quiet. Would recommend.

Our experience at the Art Hotel Debono was amazing, the staff is incredibly nice, especially Helena, who helped us book tours, taxis, make reservations and for her hospitality. We leave extremely happy and thankful for the great time we had in the island. The bungalos are beautiful and so cozy. Breakfast is really good and the dinner buffet is also delicious. If we come back we would definitely stay at Art Debono again! It is like a 5 star hotel with better prices 😉😍

I cannot overstate how happy we were with Hotel Debono. We arrived on my husband’s birthday and Julia Debono arranged for balloons, delicious cake and sparkling wine to be waiting in our room for us. My husband was thrilled and surprised after our long travels. Our room was upgraded to a larger bungalow and the property was magnificent and well lit. The dining area was both indoor and outdoor and the buffets were fantastic! I really appreciated the extra Covid precautions of gloves and masks in the buffet. Our room was spotlessly clean and the entire staff were friendly and helpful, but in no way intrusive. The bed was extremely comfortable and every detail was exceptional. We were thrilled to encounter highly entertaining kittens when dining outdoors (indoor dining may be preferable to those that may be opposed to kittens). There was live entertainment in the weekend evenings and the cost of dinner and drinks was extremely reasonable. The food selection was healthy and delicious. The property also had many areas for lounging and relaxing, but we never actually used the beautiful pool because the pristine beaches of Corfu were irresistible. We did encounter some unusual adverse weather and the property was well equipped with a generator for the brief moments we lost power. The hotel is near Corfu Town, but definitely far enough to miss the chaotic traffic. We stayed 8 nights at the hotel, and I enthusiastically recommend Hotel Debono. Can’t wait to return!

Quiet Friendly Hotel

Lovely hotel and a great holiday was had ! Great breakfast, super swimming pool, quiet and friendly. Our only criticism was that our room had a large balcony but the view was of the hotels kitchen roof and little else, very private though as we could not see out and nobody could see in

What a fabulous hotel. We would love to come back some time. The staff were all lovely, the hotel spotlessly clean, rooms spacious, food good, and the pool was fantastic. There was plenty of space around the pool to find a place to base ourselves (choice of shady areas and sunnier spots), despite social distancing requirements. The pool was just right! NB The Expedia site said that parking was not available, but that is incorrect - we had a hire car and parked it in the hotel's car park!

Bloody lovely.

Faultless service and a stunning hotel. Could not recommend it enough. Only tip would be to get to breakfast early, due to social distancing measures a bit of a queue can build up while they serve everyone at the buffets.

Amazing property. The rooms were clean and well equipped, the facilities were superb, and the staff were courteous and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Excellent location close to the Gouvia strip. Covid measures enforced throughout the resort made us feel safe the whole time.

Best in Gouvia

A warm welcome and very new room gave a good first impression. The staff are very helpful and efficient especially in the dining room. The swimming pool area has been refurbished to a very high standard. Only downside is slightly remote from resort though only 15 minutes to walk to the beach.

Superb luxury hotel

The Art hotel Debono offers a unique luxurious experience. The accommodation is immaculate in its presentation and kept spotlessly clean. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the newly constructed bungalow suites which are beautiful and extremely well designed. The hotel location is ideal, it’s only a 25 min drive from the airport, a 5 minute trip to the harbour and a 10 minute walk away from Gouvia Main Street where one can find all the normal amenities and restaurants. The art Debono dining room offers indoor and outdoor seating and provides an extensive range of food to suit all tastes. The cuisine is well prepared, fresh and replenished frequently. Should you not feel the need for a full buffet experience, the pool bar offers a good selection of lighter meal options and is available during the core of the day. The swimming pool is peaceful and in-line with the rest of the hotel, it is extremely clean( maintained lovingly on a daily basis). For those wanting a little bit of exercise, there is table tennis and also tennis courts We could not find fault with this hotel, so much so, we returned for a second visit in the same year. Julia Debono and her team ensure one wants for nothing and their warm friendly approach makes one feel valued and appreciated. We thank them all and look forward to another stay here next year.

Beautiful hotel, great staff, lovely pool and excellent breakfast. The walk into Gouvia town and back isn’t great, but we knew that before booking and the hotel more than makes up for this element.

Stunning

Excellent property. Well maintained and clean. Breakfast is very good.

We couldn't be happier that we booked this property. We just arrived at the airport to learn that our bags had been lost for the second time on our trip. We arrived early and they did their best to allow us to check in early and provided us breakfast. They let us in, the accommodations were great and the staff were so polite and respectful, plus they spoke English very well. We really recommend this property when you travel to Corfu. We had a rental car so we were close to everything we wanted to see. Property was pretty, amenities were great, and they provided huge buffet style meals.

Hotel and service were great, location not ideal though as a solo female as had to walk alone along a fairly quiet/dark road to get to the main strip of shops/restaurants.

The most amazing hotel. The food was excellent. That was so extremely friendly. Service was the best I have ever experienced. I've stayed at 4 seasons and the Ritz this hotel was better . We stayed for 5 days and will come to Greece next year just to stay at this hotel . I cant get over the kindness we experience here and how much they went out if there was to please us. We left at 4 am they made sure we had a to go bag of food to take with us even made us a hot cup of coffee .Room was cleaned daily and so wonderful. I preferred staying at the hotel then doing site seeing. The hotel was designed so amazing there were so many things to see inside the hotel itself you find yourself in mesmerized by the I could textual structure of the building and the designs of the rooms. Decorations were mesmerized leaving gaping smile that everything replies . I will certainly go back again this year and I be sure to tell all my friends about this hidden gem. Such a fantastic and memorable stay. Thank you for being so amazing.

Wonderful stay

We had a lovely week here in early October for our wedding anniversary, returning actually as we stayed the same week last year! Attentive and helpful staff, brilliant breakfast and bar. Very lovely clean rooms with good facilities. Pool bar nice although winding down a bit at end of season but still great pool time. Short walk to Gouvia and Kontokali yet hotel in a fairly quiet location which we liked. Wonderful both years!!!

Great Hotel But not the location

The staff and hotel are lovely. Small hotel . Food is limited but what they have is good quality. The main complaint I have is that for someone who is not a walker this hotel is on a steep slope and a good 10 minutes walk down a hill to Gouvia. Very bad road no pavement and open drains. Lots of rubbish around. Gouvia really is like Blackpool with sun . Really didn't like it. The beach is stoney and not great. The marina is small and not a lot todo. Bus to Corfu Town every 20 mins so this was handy . Bu the area around the hotel is remote and rural.

A gorgeous 'boutique' hotel

The hotel itself is gorgeous with a clean and welcoming entrance way, beautiful bedroom with balcony, and the food in the restaurant for breakfast was amazing. We also ate at night twice and the food was outstanding. The staff worked hard but were always cheerful and helpful. The pool area is well kept and the sun loungers are very comfortable! The pool was cold but once we were in we enjoyed it. There are a number of lilos and floating bean bags for anyone to use, and two four-poster sun beds! The pool bar served drinks - hot and cold, as well as food and the poolside toilets were very clean. We rented a car for a day through the hotel reception and explored Kassiopi and Paleokastritsa although we could have done both by bus as the bus stop was at the bottom of the road. As Gouvia is only 20 minutes from Corfu Town, we also got the bus in for some shopping and sight seeing, and again at night for food and drinks on The Liston. Unfortunately the weather for the first 3 days of our holiday was awful - thunderstorms and heavy rain so we huddled in a pub in Gouvia watching football (World Cup) and drank cocktails. I was not impressed with Gouvia itself - it seemed tired and dirty and the beach was nothing special and no cute shops, just tourist-tat. We did have a very good meal one night in the Aries Tavern, served by a real rock-and-roll waiter (the owner I think). So, I would absolutely recommend the Debono Hotel but not Gouvia itself. Get the bus; explore!

Nice quiet hotel

Quietly situated hotel in its own grounds.Freshwater pool was lovely. Plenty of loungers during our stay (early June). A fairly good choice at breakfast.A/C worked very well.

Pool is excellent. Front desk staff very good. Preparation of the room was mediocre and the safe had to be supplied with batteries after a call to the staff.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, and food was excellent (I just did breakfast) Not recommended for young people wanting a party type place, but if you want quiet & wee bit of luxury, this is for you. Surrounding area not perfect but local village of Govia within walking distance and bus into old town easily available. We also rented a car, easy to get around from hotel. Would go back in a minute, but travels in other countries awaits me!

Excellent hotel. Very good breakfast. Nice room. Hotel is just a little distance from resort & resort is poor. Excellent pool area & tennis court. Enjoyed our 3 night stay & used local bus to visit other towns in Corfu.

Few relaxing days in Corfu

The room was big and clean with a very comfortable double bed. Free pool and breakfast, you can have dinner (buffet and live music sometimes) at a relatively cheap price. You need a car to explore the surrounding village of Gouvia, restaurants and supermarkets are very close. It is also a good hub to travel throughout Corfu island. Alternatively they offer touristic day trips.

Excellent Hotel

We stayed there for three nights during a two week tour of Greece in late April and early May. The hotel is very nice, clean, and the staff is very helpful. Our room was very luxurious with a balcony and a view of the ocean in the distance. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant was by far the best one we had of any hotel during our stay. The only drawback would be that it's about a ten minute drive from the hotel to the main tourist area of Corfu Town, so if you don't have a car, the location might be inconvenient.

Worth that very small amount extra

I read reviews before choosing this hotel. It is spotlessly clean & bright & the staff are great: loved the pool. The rooms are big & comfortable & have fridge. The food was great - ideal for picky eaters! (E12 (£8.50) for evening meal buffet). If you want seafood , ten minutes walk to the village. Any bad points? Wasps(cigarette lighter)smokers on next balcony (not much fortunately) occasional poo smell (see Greek Drains on internet).

4 nights stay

This is a very well run and beautifully designed hotel. Spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and all comforts thought through. We stayed on a b&b basis and breakfast was lovely - 4-5 star standard. The pool is particularly special as it's very well kept, very luxiorious and peaceful. We thought drinks were quite expensive in the hotel bar/pool bar and so brought drinks elsewhere mainly and kept in room. Great to be close to Corfu town - 5-10 mins in a car and marina is 5 mins away. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends, I would also stay here again with pleasure!

Lovely hotel

All good things to report about this lovely hotel - beautiful clean fresh room-nice buffet breakfast- good pool/bar area-friendly staff. Set on the hill above the resort on a fairly quiet road (beware no pavement!) yet still within walking distance of the resort and bus stop that takes you South to Corfu Town. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - always welcome when you are a solo traveller!

Soggiorno non previsto, ma nella sfortuna siamo capitati davvero in una struttura molto bella ed accogliente. Immersa in un uliveto tenuto molto bene. Personale gentilissimo e molto collaborativo. Stanza super. Piscina e zone adiacenti top.

Abbiamo soggiornato all’art hotel Debono per 9 notti. Spazi comuni molto curati e ben disposti, pulizia eccellente anche nelle stanze dove il cambio asciugamani e lenzuola era giornaliero. Camera molto spaziosa, ben arredata e con ampio terrazzino corredato di tavolo e poltrone. Colazione continentale molto diversificata di gg in gg e di ottima qualità. Lo stesso posso dire per la cena a buffet a 20€ a persona. Nella tariffa di pernottamento è incluso anche l’-“accesso alla piscina, molto spaziosa anch essa e con ampio spazio intorno con ombrelloni e lettini. Personale sempre disponibile e cortese. Se dovessi tornare a Corfù so già in che hotel pernotterei

A recommander sans hésiter

Petite structure confortable très propre avec des espaces bien entretenus. Les Chambres sont belles et surtout la propreté est au rendez-vous. La restauration en demi-pension est très bien tout le monde peut composer son repas parmis de nombreuses propositions et c'est bon. L'ensemble du personnel est très souriant et gentils et toujours disponible. Pas de petits enfants donc calme

Struttura molto pulita e profumata. Staff molto cordiale e attento alle esigenze. Camera spaziosa con balconcino. Colazione abbondante. Posizione comoda. Unica pecca il WiFi non sempre funzionante e un po' lento.
