We had a very comfortable and quiet room with a wonderful bathroom and great view across the roof tops of Athens towards the acropolis. Very close to the bus stop to get downtown, and a short walk to the metro station to get just about anywhere. Public transport is quite convenient here.
Small rooms but clean
Location was not to our liking, rooms were nice
Great place
I enjoyed my stay at Areos. The staff were great and the facility was nice. Unfamiliar with the area, but it did seem like it was an undesirable part of Athens BUT I always felt safe and comfortable and many walkable amenities nearby such as the bus station, coffee, food and the Archaeological Musuem. I would stay here again.
100% Recommended
Very pleased! Price, cleaning, location, comfort. I’m glad we chose this hotel.
Great place. Clean
Nice hotel close to the anthropological museum. No dining options around the hotel you can walk to. Commercial area- everything closes early.
The internet falsely advertised this property. The pictures and information show a full service coffee bar, but it is shut down since Covid and there is a coffee vending machine where you pay 1 euro. Also, it state's there is a rooftop restaurant and bar which is also closed. It also states that the balconys have a table and chairs for outside sitting but did not see that any where in any room. The best part of the stay was the lovely housekeeper. She was so sweet and so helpful and very kind. Front desk woman was rude and didn't even say good morning and greet anyone. I will not stay here again. Over priced hotel. The house keeper was the best. She deserves a raise.
Very nice
Very nice hotel for the price. Clean quiet comfortable well run. Very Close to a beautiful big park and the FABULOUS Archeological museum just down the street.
Nice hotel
The room was beautiful and most of all the staff- concierge, front desk, and housekeeping went out of their way to help us as foreign guests to Athens. Made tour arrangements and helped retrieve lost items in a taxi. The multi-lingual staff will go above and beyond to help their guests. Highly recommend this boutique hotel. A treasure!!
Great stay, hotel is beautiful inside, we got upgraded to an apartment. Negativities: no breakfast, front desk only opened 9am to 4pm, no night service. We had issues getting to the airport for a 6am fflight - no taxied or uber is available at night - had to sit at the airport all night- the area around the hotel is sketchy
The property itself was lovely and the staff could not have been nicer, but the area around the property was horrible. To begin with, the front door was locked at all times. When the cab dropped us off at the hotel, we couldn't figure out how to enter the hotel. We went out for an early dinner as we did not want to be out after dark and at multiple corners were policemen with high powered weapns just stationed on corners, and not moving.
Too far from the center.
Nice spacious room and bathroom with a spacious balcony. A good view from the balcony. The room services were good. We were allowed to check in slightly earlier than scheduled following our flight arrival and staff also helped arrange transport for the early morning to accomodate our trip back. Clean, tidy hotel.
We had a nice stay at Areos. Note: There is not 24-hour staff which made getting service at night time tricky. We had some mishaps with room allocation at checkin and our lock running out of battery but the staff was fast to respond and had great service. Thank you for your help!
Clean rooms and close proximity to sightseeing bus as well as to the Archeological Museum of Athens.
Would stay again
The place was clean, staff were friendly, only a 15minute walk to central area. Worth the money
Small Hotel good location
Good value hotel room; however, I was kept awake both nights of my stay due to noisy guests stay in the rooms next door.
Pros property is in the center of Athens located close to all attractions either walking distance or a ten minute drive to the acropolis. Plenty of parking in front of hotel. It’s very clean and the beds are comfortable. Cons this is more of a boutique hotel with little amenities. I would have given this hotel 5 starts if it wasn’t for the fact that there is a coffee bar and breakfast that was advertised. Unfortunately the cafe and bar have been closed for 4 years and there is no breakfast for 8 dollars as is advertised on Expedia. The balcony was very small and in my opinion not safe especially if you have children..okay for a quick smoke but I felt that if wasn’t careful I could fall over since the railing is very low.
Walk distance to most areas, good for exploring. Has many bus routes around it, for days you don't want to walk.
There is no one there after 4PM, but you receive a email with instructions or ring the bell, simple. The front desk can help with all questions and requests. There is a very good restaurant called AMA LACHLI (in English) with 10 minutes walking distance( Greek food infused)!
Harry at the front desk is a gem and will do whatever he can to accommodate you. Pleasant gentleman.
Rooms were clean and comfortable but no tea or coffee making facilities or fridge which would have been nice given how hot it was. Good location within walking distance of Sygamata square and some good bars and restaurants nearby at very reasonable prices. Staff were very helpful
Loved how clean, friendly, amazing the people were
Introvert friendly hotel due to social distancing protocols. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious. Be aware of the limited food options in the hotel and surrounding few blocks.
Great value. Helpful staff. Beside large Museum. Three kilometres straight walk to the Agora & Slopes of the Acropolis. Nice terraced rooms. No in-house breakfast or bar!
Clean, great location
Very good quality room.
There was no one at the front desk when we checked in or out, despite it saying they have 24 hr front desk service. Basically what that means is they have a 24 hour telephone line. Not sure if that is just what that means in Europe but it was fine enough when we checked in but when we were checking out, there was a cleaning lady who told us the front desk doesn’t actually have someone working there until 8am but we had a plane to catch before that so she told us if we had already paid we could just leave the key cards on the desk and go, it was a bit odd and I am not sure what we would have done if we hadn’t paid…
Bit noisy in the street but it adds to the excitement of being away. Closing the window reduces noise. Everything was great except the restaurant is closed
hotel guy was super nice
Upon arrival there was no one there. We had to find our own key. Promises of an airport shuttle were false. It was comically bad.
Great choice to explore Athens.
Nice Hotel. Not fancy rooms but ample, very clean, organized. Friendly front desk/phone service. Super convenient to the Metro, Victoria Stop Green line. Really good pick to explore Athens. Loved it.
Thought it was a nice clean hotel with good aesthetic, but some areas of the hotel that were disappointing, the shower clogged often and one of the lights weren’t working.
The only good thing about this hotel is the front desk manager, everything else is horrible. They have excuse for almost anything. The reception desk is open till almost 4:00 PM and the hotel is so depressing. There is no security or someone at the front desk in case of emergency. They provide you a code right before you get there, which is very confusing and impersonal. There was a loud room till early morning but no one could call them because there is no phone service and the excuse is it is being upgraded. The WIFI is so bad and spotty, the excuse is the neighborhood network is being upgraded. There is no room service and they bring the food to your room till 4:00 pm if you order delivery from an app service. The little TV in the room has limited channels. There is no tissues in the rooms. This hotel is not a four star hotel, they are extremely frugal and they try to save money but want to make money. One of the owners who does not speak English comes and hangs around in the lobby with no purpose. The cafe is completely closed and they have a vending machine instead. I got pickpocketed in Athens in the first night, and the hotel did not extend any help till I rectify the financial situation. Will never stay in this hotel ever again. The cleaning people were very polite, but the rooms need to be refurbished and no matter how much they clean them, they are still old and unpleasant.
Where are the goodies?
No one there for 2.5 days, which meant no guidance for first time visitors at all. It looked like they were to serve breakfast but didn’t. Expresso Bar never open. My shower door broken. No instructions about how the hotel worked.
Very clean and modern facility. Very close to Exarchia neighborhood and recently revamped Pedion tou Areos park. Close to Patission shops, sights (Archeological Museum etc.)
Didn’t get any firm of service and front desk is only available in the morning to early afternoon they’re gone later in the day. Area around isn’t great either. Not safe neighborhood to be frank. Never did get bottle of wine or other refreshments I was told I’d receive.
Henry, the hotel manager was amazing. He accommodated all our needs.
A wonderful hotel, strongly recommend it.
Got a suite and it is basically the whole floor. Walking distance from a lot of places in day time but since stores close, walking would be farther during night time. Not speaking about the property but regarding the area outside, don’t be shocked about the city, graffitis at night which is not the property fault. We were safe though the whole time. Harris is a very great host. He coordinated everything including shuttle pickups (payment not part of the hotel stay, make sure u bring euros). and gave us recommendations during our stay. Unfortunately, the breakfast included did not happen because of covid restrictions which I understand. Harris made our access easy even after hours and a very big plus to the hotel. I would definitely stay again. Thanks, Harris.
Peace & quiet amongst the anarchy :D
A quiet, clean space in a very cool neighborhood with lots of political activism history… Exarchia has lots of dining options and the hotel is literally across the street from the famous Athena statue. The room was cool, comfortable and the bathroom spacious. There was a fridge and desk as well as plenty of storage space for luggage and a small balcony. We really enjoyed our stay in Athens! Highly recommended.
A great stay.
Excellent Customer service . The guy who worked at the front desk was very professional and gave us some great recommendations for Athens and some of the other islands . The room, they upgraded our room which had a nice walk in shower, a comfortable bed , ac and a nice balcony. The breakfast was good as well. It’s a good location, because it’s near the hop off hop on bus , not far from the Victoria metro either . Overall, the service was great and we had a nice stay .
Great hotel with friendly staff
Great hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice and comfortable room, with balcony, great bathroom, they are changing towels every day. Hotel is only 5-7 min walking distance from Victoria metro station and trolley buses, and also bus from city center 2 and 4 stop maybe 100m from hotel, which is very convinient when you are you getting back tired from Athens sightsieing. Only remark is for breakfast, which always was warm, but I have expected more options, and there were no any fresh fruits, which is big supprise for Greek hotels
Very clean, Very good location, nice stuff ,close to down town
The property is quite central to the City. It's close to the Metro, close to a bus stop & close to sight seeing bus spots.
amazing place great staff people in the lobby was very very helpful and bartender número 1
Overall the property was clean and neat and the staff was pleasant. The breakfast buffet was subpar and the amenities in the room were lacking. Basic Local Greece TV and No access to other channels outside of the BBC World News. Also, I had to on several occasions as that they turn the heat on in the room since you as a guest do not control your heating. One more thing they should be clear up front that this hotel isn't in the best neighbor in Athens.
Very nice and helpful staff. Very nice place and breakfast. Convenient to the metro, and the huge archaeological museum. The only slightly weird thing is down the road past near the museum there was a riot police presence.
Clean room and in a central location. Staff were very helpful and gave advice regarding things to do in the local area.
Loved the hotel and its staff. Very pleasant and helpful.
We had a fabulous stay at Aeros. The staff were so helpful, the room was lovely and the position in Athens was perfect.
Hotel was a complete surprise having expected much less. Located in an interesting part of Athens, it was a good sized room with all the required amenities. Very comfy bed and quiet at night. Nearby was good restaurants and a bus stop for the hop on hop off bus.
Hotel is very good. Neighborhood not so great.. too many grafittis.
Its a nice, clean hotel. A bit far from the attractions but there's a metro within 10 minutes walk.
Super nice staff, and location was okay. Loved the room, was a good size and nicely decorated. Enjoyed the espresso bar near the reception, & the coffee was amazing. Only downside was that there is no pool. But we highly recommend Aeros Hotel in Athens!
We had such a great time at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was about a 20 min walk to the main square which was fine for us because we came ready to walk. You’ll want to make sure to walk on the main streets, however, and we never walked at night. Such a fun time though! Definitely recommend for a budget-friendly destination in Athens.
Nice staff. Modern facilities. Quite room. Late check in.
Great location staff friendly and very helpful. Recommended great restaurants and directions. Breakfast was excellent
Great location close to downtown Clean, breakfast was very nice and tasty
Nice stay in Athens
We were in Athens for two nights, we had some problems with our first room but as soon as we talked to the staff about it they gave us a new one which fixed the issue. The breakfast was good! The eggs were delicious and it was a good addition to our booking. I must add that some rooms have see through showers so make sure to book a bigger room.
Great location , clean hotel , staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good but can be improved
Family Hotel
We normally stay with family. The Aeros is within walking distance from them. The staff were all very friendly, and made our stay an enjoyable one. Going to for sure stay again, and recommend to our family.
Great hotel, breakfast was good and staff were very friendly
This is a three star hotel. Nothing fancy, but very welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The front desk staff could not have been more accommodated. They recommended restaurants, called taxis, made reservations, and went above and beyond at every turn. It is a bit off the beaten path from the tourist areas, which for me, made it all the better. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
The staff went above and beyond to help and answering all of our questions. They made suggestions for food and set up our taxis. It’s not in the best location (as far as being close to the city center) but there are restaurants that are walkable and it’s safe to do so. Did I say the staff was amazing??!!
A good place to stay
Had a short one night stay at Areos hotel. I was more concerned about the neighborhood than it was necessary. While some of the area looks slightly dodgy, it is absolutely safe to walk from the hotel to the city center. The room is standard but the bathroom very modern and nice. The breakfast was decent.
Room and shower very good, staff very positive and willing to help . Breakfast should be improved . Common areas small . Otherwise good for a business trip .
Excellent place for fairly cheap. Only complaint is that my room didn't have a shower, only a bath, and it was a little small. Due to a planning error on my part, I had to extend my stay by one more night. Because the hotel was nearly booked, they had to change my room, which turned out to be the last available one. The new room has a shower, but no bath this time, which I was fine with. I prefer showers to baths, and I could actually fit in this one.
In the middle of the city and close to the sites.
Solo trip for a few nights to see the sites. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Place is clean and the breakfast buffet was so delicious. I wish I could have gotten it twice but I had to catch a cab super early in the am. They still arranged for a breakfast for me. Cake and coffee. (The American coffee was really good along with the food. I will definitely stay here again . 35 minute walk to the Acropolis. Almost a straight line. The bartender Georgia was also super friendly and funny. Anyone you interacted with made you feel welcomed.
My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. They know the city, wonderful nearby restaurants, and where to be and not to be. Breakfast is also a gastronomic delight!
Nice hotel not so nice area/location
A good hotel in a not so good location. Dangerous area of Athens Staff are very helpful.
The hotel itself was great! Within walking distance to great restaurants and transit. Staff was very helpful, room was clean and quiet. About a 30 minute walk to the Acropolis and other popular attractions. The area around seemed sketchy walking through, but the people were harmless and there were no issues. Would recommend!
Good sized rooms and great bathroom. Breakfast was satisfactiry. Staff at reception were very helpful. Hotel was a 30-40 miute walk to most attractions but was a 5 minute walk to one of the hop on hop off bus stops
Diamond in the rough
The staff from the very beginning was very friendly and helpful! The room itself was small but had the basic things you needed. It was air conditioned and clean. The wifi and breakfast was better than what we expected. The neighbourhood was ok- it seemed a little sketchy in some areas but we honestly encountered no problems.
I liked the look of the place and it was generally good, but electrical outlets were oddly placed and, most important, my room smelled of smoke. I don't recall the ad even mentioning it was a smoking room.
This was located a little further out from the center of the city, but a short walk to a nearby metro station. Short walk to the Archeological Museum, which is well worth a visit. The staff members were very nice, spoke multiple languages, and more than willing to help us in any way that we needed. Very much appreciated everything they did for us.
Excellent room - surprisingly quiet. Very good service. Good value for money. No complaints.
Great service, very helpful people. Breakfast was really good. Definitely would go back if I'm ever in Athens again.
Space Room and terrace cloced to metro station breakfast meal
Friendly staff always willing to help with anything
It is a small property and rather "tucked away" but the rooms, again although small, are clean and comfortable. The showers are the best we've had in any hotel! Staff is very nice and breakfast good.
Very good location. Close to city center. Very pleasant staff. Room is a bit small, but has everything you need. Loved the bathroom. Great pillows.
Convenient location. Close to subway. Hotel staff are very pleasant and helpful.
Really good person who worked the front desk when we arrived. Gave us a great restaurant recommendation and directions to the places we wanted to visit and how to buy entry tickets. Only suggestion is to have a sign of their hotel name at the street level. We walked by it the first time down the street.
Lovely helpful staff. Nice bar, clean rooms, great location.
Recommend this excellent hotel
Hotel provided excellent service at very reasonalbe prices. All staff were friendly and helpful - chambermaid, breakfast service, reception and bar. The hotel's location is great for getting around: a short walk to tourist buses or a Metro station. I would warmly recommend it
Lovely little property. Rooms are clean, nice sized bathroom. Staff are very kind and helpful. Location is good. I am definitely coming back!
Good location, great staff, very clean, breakfast, bar
I love the services. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.
Great hotel for business trips
A nice functional hotel for business trips. Clean and well taken care of. The breakfast is free, homey, tasty and above sufficient. I would definitely comeback in case of another business trip. Less appropriate for pleasure in my opinion.
The staff were very friendly and were great at giving advice on places to visit while visiting. The rooms were all very clean and the breakfast was also very good.
Friendly , clean , affordable = great deal!
An AMAZING place!Harry and George are the friendliest, most professional desk cleans! They go way behind their duty to make sure one feels fully satisfied with the service and have the best time! They help with programs and advises as well! Our room was clean the breakfast plenty with good selection. When we left early before breakfast time for a trip they prepared breakfast just for us 😊 The hotel is very close to the archeological museum ( a definite MUST) and although the area is a little dark we never had any safety concern ( even when we walked back after midnight) We highly recommend this place and will ceirtainly spread the good words about them !
It was amazing, the room was great with a balcony and some sun chairs. Complimentary wine and toothbrushes every day, and a good breakfast. The best 3 star hotel I have ever been to.
Good hotel
Good location and nice hotel
Great service, friendly and helpful staff employees, very clean. The breakfast was very good and complete.
