Amazing time in Arctic treehouse hotel.
It's a beautiful place and we absolutely love it. Service is really good and efficient . The treehouse is definitely something special. Super comfortable bed and restaurant is amazing. The private sauna is nice, but when you are at balcony, you can see people pass around you. Only this part we are not so sure when we were enjoying private sauna.
This property is absolutely amazing. Ritz Carlton level staff, service, activities and amenities. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
The actual room is cozy and nice however the remainder of property is quite underwhelming given its reputation. Breakfast is very average. The community sauna is far away from the rooms. The aurora viewpoint is difficult to get to in the dark. For the price point would probably stay elsewhere next time.
Great surrounding, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. Will stay again next time
Great hotel. Comfortable, quiet and very cool looking rooms! Also you can walk into nature from the hotel. I’ll definitely stay there when I have a chance to go to Finland again. Highly recommend to anyone.
Overpriced tourist trap with very small rooms and bathrooms. Check in was slow as the property tried to surcharge for a baby crib (hidden charge). Coffee maker was a hit and miss, bathrooms are un ergonomically furnished, the sauna was not hot and outdoor deck is very noisy due to traffic on nearby highway. All in all, a missed opportunity to shine though a brilliant money making machine for those Santa enthusiasts coming in peak season. Some positives, breakfast service was excellent and overall staff as well. Serios issues are the health and safety hazard on the unprotected sides of the deck and the works in progress in alleys
We arrived at the property at around 4 pm, to find the doors locked and with an added external chain to lock them. There was a sign saying they were closed for summer renovations, from May to end of July. I don't understand how they took our reservation if they were closed. We had to pivot immediately to get a room at the Arctic Light Hotel, which is a great option.
Great place to stay, friendly staff and beautiful property.
All good except restaurant staffs
This is a very fancy and comfort hotel. The rooms are incredible cozy and beautiful. I definitely recommend it. Ideal for couples stay
Good place. Staff response was always prompt and lightning fast.
Perfection in Lapland. There is no faulting this property, the room was superb and offered unspoiled views. The bedding is lush, ensuring a good nights sleep. The bathroom is small but functional and the heated floors are wonderful when you’re stepping out of the shower. The breakfast included was delicious and was a great way to start each morning. All of the standard fare plus a few extra treats each day. Dinners are divine and the cocktails are creative and delicious. The location was very central, only a 10 minute drive to downtown Rovaniemi and less than 5 minutes to the airport and Santa’s Village. Overall, Is it worth the hype? YES!!
Ok, but not up to expectations
Honestly, we were a bit disappointed. For the cost of the hotel (£600+ per night), we were expecting something more impressive - the concept is great, but the execution isn’t quite up to it - the rooms are rather small (esp the bathroom) and in ok not great condition, bed is ok but again no bigger than a standard double and not overly comfortable. The other piece is the need to pay extra for many things - e.g a cot cost €50 per night extra (expensive in a cheap hotel but pretty disappointing an extra here). The main building is rather lovely, cosy and with a good restaurant (dinners and breakfasts were good). Staff a mixed bag - porters and restaurant staff were great, checking group very much less helpful / pleasant.
This place was absolutely amazing! Staff was always very attentive and responsive. Very close to Santa Claus Village and Rovaniemi City Center. Food was delicious and room service was very convenient.
Must to try this beautiful place
Amazing and I love it so much
this hotel was amazing I'd recommend for couples, families or friends. the views from the window are amazing. The staff couldn't do enough for you, everything about this hotel was magical
Every aspect of the property from Stephanie at reception, to the breakfast staff, to the grounds and especially Polyanna made this a memorable visit...Thanks, for everything !!!
Beautiful accommodations and forest area. A must stay.
Unique, once in a lifetime experience for us. Only complaint is we didn’t see the Northern lights.
The best !!!!
Amazing hotel , amazing staff , out of this world , will come back for sure Thanks for everything!!!
Had an amazing stay at Arctic Tree Hiuse Hotel. clean, modern & staff ready to go way beyond what’s expected of them at any point in time. Genuine Scandinavian hospitality! Will be back! Loved it!
Staying at the Artic TreeHouse Executive Suite checked off one 'dream thing' to do on our bucket list. The Rakas Restaurant is worthy of mention for its food menu. Staff are friendly and hospitable. Santa Park is within walking distance. An unforgettable stay.
The reception welcoming staff ( Pollyanna & katarina) were extremely accommodating. They allowed us to spend a couple of hours in the reception prior to our flight and eat our lunch of a charcuterie board. We had purchased cheeses and salami in the town & asked the chef to cut up the cheeses. He not only did that but assembled a beautiful & delicious board! I would love to return to the Artic Tree House one day!!
From the moment we walked in the staff took great care of us. Amazing place to stay. I would recommend, no doubt.
Awesome location between the two main Santa Claus and Christmas shopping, reindeer etc experience centers. Wonderful staff, room views are astonishing. Breakfast was A . Few minutes from the airport and 7-8 minutes from down town.
Beautiful hotel! I stayed in July which is the off season and I think I was the only guest the first night. All the staff are very friendly and greeted me by name. The restaurant has great food, although limited menu and operation hours. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of options, but limited hours. I was surprised they do not provide transportation to the airport and I had to get a cab. Also, if you do not rent a car, getting to town is difficult as the hotel is several kilometers from the city center. Few amenities are available such as no sauna or gym. Despite the lack of transportation, food options, and amenities, it is still a great hotel.
Beautiful property close to everything. The rooms are so nice of a kind and staff so nice and welcoming
The hotel has amazing views. It is classy, clean and quiet. Reception service was prompt and everyone was friendly. The location great, 10 minutes from the airport of santa clause village where most of the attractions are.
Perfect location, beautiful views. A calm away from normal life. Loved every second of it.
Amazing stay experience, great property and everyone must do
Beautiful rooms
The rooms are beautiful and the bed is so comfortable! I loved staying here. The hotel has snowshoes, snow tubes, and little sleds for guests to use around the property. The only thing that keeps this from getting a top score is that their service could use some improvement, especially given that they label themselves as 5 star and charge such high prices. Make sure to ask for a room that faces the forest and not one of the hotel roads.
Amazing hotel and staff.
Loved everything! Staff, room, restaurant, using snowshoes, service, the "welcome drink" by the fireplace in the lobby. Can't wait to g back. Best hotel I have ever stayed in, by far!
Delightful stay.
Booked this hotel cos I loved the aesthetic of the place. Check in was standard though the lady looked real grouchy. The room is as advertised though it was a birthday celebration and I did get flowers from them as well and tried to request for a room not facing the road. No luck. So we couldn’t leave the curtains open. It was snowing that night as well so no aurora. :( because I had stayed in igloos for the last 3 nights. Having hotel like service eg. A car brings you to your room, not having to carry my luggage up the steps. Maybe my expectations are slightly lower. Price paid is high but I Guess you’re paying for being in cool accommodation in the arctic.
15% VIP discount was not applied, and it took 15 minutes at checkout to sort it out. Rooms very nice but slightly cramped, could do with a small bench at the entrance to facilitate taking boots off without getting snow into the room.
Super fun experience
No Northern lights but beautiful snow. The breakfast was spectacular, our view stunning and we had a lovely walk in the snowy weather to Santa’s village and were glad to return to the relaxing atmosphere at the Arctic Treehouse.
This hotel is so lovely and from the moment you arrive the staff make you feel extremely welcome. It’s located about 20mins walk from Santa Claus village but in my opinion the location was perfect. It was exactly like being in a winter wonderland and the rooms are really cosy with an amazing outlook. We dined at the restaurant everyday, which isn’t cheap but was fairly reasonable. Would go again tomorrow.
Beyond disappointed!
I researched extensively and booked this stay 11months in advance and was really looking forward to it. We had two rooms booked, one for my husband and I and one for our two young children and mother-in-law and had requested adjoining rooms (all treehouses are sets of two), when we went to check in they told us they couldn’t accommodate that request and our apartments were at other sides of the resort and a 15min walk on icy roads. Check in time is 4pm - which is stupidly late and already dark! After an hour of trying to sort out something acceptable, they put us in a twin instead of double room and moved the beds to face the window. We ended up with a mess of a room with no bed heads or bedside tables (as they were fixed to the wall). At dinner they forgot my dessert, even though I followed it up and then charged us twice for it. Breakfast only started at 7.30 and we needed to leave at 7.50 and it took them almost that long to make my coffee (after a follow up as well). The view from our rooms was of a road with people walking past looking in. The room was tiny and if you were a large person I don’t think you could sit on the toilet or fit in the shower. I had to put my sponge bag on the bathroom floor as there is no bench space. Most other hotels in Finland have a sauna, but not this one. It was very basic in facilities and service quality. We stayed in a beautiful hotel down the road that cost a 5th of the price. This was a massive waste of money!!!
Should try when in rovaniemi
Amazing stay. The service is exceptional. Good for family
it's very beautiful. breakfast offered wasn't very diverse and food was average. staff wasn't crazy helpful. you'd have to chase them fldown for a coffee at breakfast. they don't answer when you call. but it was average service. not terrible not good. hotel was pretty.
Bathroom small. Taking a shower is uncomfortable. No heater in the room.
Better exterior than interior Quite crowded and pricey
We loved our stay at the Arctic Treehouse! The cabins are awesome, and the separate little loft inside was perfect for our 5-year-old daughter. Service was excellent - some of the best that we've ever seen. The only flaw was the lack of close eating options - there is one restaurant on the property and for anything else the closest places are in Santa Claus Village two miles away. What they lack in eating options they more than make up for in service. The overall experience was very good and we would recommend this hotel highly.
Lovely contemporary hotel very warm and welcoming amounts the forest.
That’s was my first trip to Rovaniemi and the declaration of hotel is quite impressive with excellent customer service
The individual cabins are truly an experience, especially during the winter months. Quality of amenities are of high standard, though some faults can be found, such as broken sockets, lamps and speakers. However, it is a magical and recommendable one off experience-especially with your partner! Had dinner at their Rakas restaurant and decided to go for their surprise Christmas meal- honestly a road to disaster, definitely not worth the price for what I was served and probably would’ve been better off ordering a la carte. Food quality was not on par. Majority of staff are very hospitable and helpful though can’t say the same for all. With that said, breakfast was wonderful and atmosphere/setting of the restaurant is phenomenal - esp enjoying a drink by the fire whilst it’s snowing outside. Critique and standards are more stringent since a premium service should be reflected from their price point (esp during peak times) Location is remote and quiet, yet easily accessible to the Santa Claus village (walkable!) All in all, it was a pleasurable stay.
The tree house rooms themselves are beautiful and very cozy, but absolutely NOT worth $800 a night. The hotel is just a money pit with no amenities on the property and charging for every little thing. For a less than 5 minute ride from the airport the hotel charged $50 one way. They also do not provide any transportation to the attractions nearby. The room has a TV which only had about 7 functioning channels. There was a tablet in the room which did not work to contact the staff. We also called through WhatsApp without answer. We booked an excursion to SantaPark with the hotel and they forgot to give us the printout tickets/voucher to get into the park. Once again absolutely not worth the price.
Unique rooms & centrally located for visits to the 2 local attractions
Probably the best hotel in Rovaniemi!
Everything was better than expected, we stayed at other hotel like the igloo but no where is better than this hotel!! Would definitely stay again. The breakfast are also amazing. A true winter wonderland
Can see Northern lights in this hotel.
