Money worth.
Not bad at all. Very acceptable for price point and location. Friendly staff. Would consider again.
I’d definitely stay again
Very friendly staff great stay No issues
Great place to stay and walking distance to the old town. Definitely a great place to stay when visiting the christmas markets! Very helpful and kind staff.
Comfortable Stay
The check-in process was very smooth and the staff were helpful with our enquiries. Breakfast is good. Room is clean and spacious for our family of 4. The hotel is located about 1 km to the Gare Central and the old town. There is the tram just in front of the hotel which makes it convenient to get around if you do not use to walk. Tram tickets can be purchased on line and it is valid for 24 hrs.
Comfortable and quiet 😎
Door could not be unlocked to allow exit from room. Door jam damaged should have been replaced or repaired. Lack of attention to maintenance and building upkeep! One small towel, poor guest experience, does not reflect commitment to guest satisfaction. Could not find power outlet in bedroom area other than tv area and all in use. A new experience unsatisfactory! .
Well situated within the main attractions areas.
City centre location ideal for underground parking nearby and very close to tram stop. Large comfortable rooms.
It was a good place
The front desk staff left me hanging around waiting to check in. I had been waiting for quite awhile and then they started checking in other guests. I wasn’t happy about it but eventually they got me my room.
Very good hotel in a good location.
The front desk person was incredibly helpful, he explained everything well when we checked in and also explained how to use the tram system.
Great location, clean and fine breakfast.
Good location. We were able to drop our bags off on the first day. Pleasant helpful staff.
Clean and comfort
Super clean and great staff
Great value and location.
Lovely building in good location about 10 minutes to the old town. Well equipped little kitchen with everything we needed for an overnight stay, and a comfortable room with decent size bathroom and good shower. The only real negatives were that being on the front of the building, there is street noise, (the trams run all night), and that there was only 1 chair at the table for two of us! However, neither of these would stop us staying here again.
Excellent!
Excellent! Great location, friendly people, great comfortable bed and shower. They gave us a water bottle in check out. They let us check in earlier too. Next train station and Christmas market.
It was in a nice quiet area of town, not too far from the City centre
VERY GOOD
Together with my niece, we stayed a week. Studio was big, Decoration and lighting were very good. Bed was very comfortable. We had slight problem with the heating , There was no inventory of the kitchen utentials so there was no salad bowl therefore we had to prepare our salad in a cooking pot. There was no water heater. But regardless of all these, we were very satisfied with everything including the nearby bus and train stops and market.
Centrally positioned, near and quiet, pristinely clean. Very friendly staff trying to accommodate our lack of French. Was very happy with my choice and would book with them again anytime
Good accomodation but a bit off from rail station and city center..
Clean, well staffed, minimalist, comfortable and close to Ile deal Cite and Christmas markets.
Excellent value for money in a great location. Right next to the tram or you can walk.
Nice accomodations, clean and good service. the price was excellent
Kitchenette not well equipped. Cleaning only once a week was not stated when I booked
No toiletpaper in the room NO number from the reception on the phone or whatever in the room , then you must go to the reception and they where very unfriendly when I told them that I tried to call the reception and that I didn't find any number , the guy of the reception told me that normally everyone knows that the reception number is a 9. and then the way that he gives me the toilet paper is for me the last time that I will go this hotel , VERY UNFRIENDLY RECEPTION !!!!
Spacious apartment room inn a great location just a short walk from beautiful central Strasbourg.
The apartment we stayed in was quite dusty and the design/layout of the room is not exactly easy to move around. Other wise the amenities is good. Microwave, towel heater, kettle etc.
Good value for money
Great value for money. Modern, a bit small apartment room, clean. But had everything we need, even a small kitchen. Close to train station. There was a shop near by. Patisserie across the road. Also after check out, could leave our bags in reception. Would defiantly stay there again :)
Super friendly staff, always smiling and greeting me as I came and went. The room was very clean and quiet. The hotel is right beside rhe tram stop which was great. The hotel has a pizza service that was a life saver! You pay 10 Euro for a pizza and its made on site for you, so if you ever come in late at night make sure to buy one or two.
It’s a short walk to Petite France and there’s a parking garage right across the street. The price for being all of a block outside of our intended target, plus relatively cheap parking made this an ideal choice. The staff is friendly and speaks very good english for those that it matters to. The rooms are dated but the bedding was clean and fresh. Other parts of the room could use a little better TLC, but temper expectations with the price and you will find this to be an excellent value. We would absolutely stay here again.
We would like to go back
The staff tried to help when the aircobdition broke down. Central, clean, comfortable
Basic and not updated
We've stayed at this hotel a few times over the past 4 years, for a quick overnight to the city as it is a short walk to petit France. On the first few visits it was in good condition and clean. Our second last visit we noticed it has become a bit worn. We decided to book again in May 2019, the website said it had been updated and we booked a room based on that and true the front entrance atea has been brightened up, however that's probably where it ended. The carpeted hallways are filthy and worn. Our room was exactly the same as the year before, just more worn out. This is a budget hotel though and you get what you pay for. Fine for a quick stop over or a cheap stay on a night out. A basic hotel room..... With dirty carpets
The apartment was great and the staff were friendly. The amenities are good too, with two hot electric stoves and a fridge which was very useful. For the money this is very great, it’s also very close to everything. The cleanliness was nothing to write home about, it was liveable if you don’t have high standards. Our problem was the heat of the hotel room, it seems to be set to 24C without any way of cooling down, the windows could not open either. I wouldn’t complain if it was a hot day but it was raining and cold outside so we didn’t have a great stay. That being said, the Strasbourg sights are something you shouldn’t miss, so we’re not sour about the hotel, we just think it could be better.
Convenient location, clean apartment and friendly staff
Super convenient, tram right outside the door, supermarket across the street (for light supplies to use in the little kitchen area of the room) - really very good (and great price too)!
Very nice property at a fair price. Great walk-able location!
Excellent location and service, easy check-in. Parking is a bit hard to find if you don't ask ahead of time. Also- don't check out later than 1130....the cleaning lady got quite aggressive about it.
What was that place?
The building looks like a prison or concrete gulag. The high stoop was filthy with trash and stains, and the entrance like a secure dorm. It was run like a badly managed student operation. I was there 4 nights, and the room was never cleaned, bed made, or anything. The rooms are strangely arranged witH a working kitchenette (stove, microwave, refrigerator, etc.), expecting you to prepare food, but not garbage removal.
Relatively cheap but ...
I guess you get what you pay for. Comparatively cheap but basic. No room cleaning in three days.
The room was functional, spacious, clean and affordable. The location was close to the train station as well as within walking distance of the tourist attractions.
We really enjoyed staying there
Disappointed
Very disappointed with our booking, the carpet was very stained and the walls very marked. The bed was not comfortable, the Airconditioner inthe living area did not work. This apartment hotel needs to be renovated and is not worthy of 3 stars. We did not eat the breakfast so cannot comment about it. The only plus was the location and that there was parking which we needed. No lift from parking so if you have heavy luggage it’s very difficult to manage it.
Central location but quiet within hotel.
Good location and pleasant hotel, comfortable beds and nice room. Liked kitchenette. V enjoyable stay
Disappointing
Basic. Beginning to look scruffy at the edges. Email request not read until arrival. Superior room booked but standard room allocated. No air-conditioning, alternative room impractical, unless you like banging your head on the overhanging ceiling when getting out of bed. Arrived late, so nowhere open to buy water, and the hotel dispensing machine had run out ... on request the receptionist provided one small bottle.
Convenient position, big rooms, good breakfast, excellent for families
Clean rooms. Comfortable beds.
Well located self-contained apartment
Close to the train station and the unesco protected heritage area and shopping. . Tram stop at the door. Quiet. Air conditioned. The extra pull down bed meant we could have a grandchild stay with us.
Brilliant
Excellent stay Ideal location friendly service great kitchen facility clean room/bathroom
Don't rely on kitchenette
Booked this because it had a kitchenette - no kettle just one small cup. Only good for heating up ready meals. Air conditioning broke down while. I was there. Staff were friendly and gave me a free breakfast. Breakfast would have been good value for money, if I had had to pay.
Location is very good, easy to reach the centre and city main attractions by walking. The room equipment is basic but clean, carpet showing some spots doesn’t add any freshness to a small place with a small window. Bathroom and shower were the best. People at the reception do their job. However, the young man made a difference. He was attentive, friendly and very efficient...well done to him.
A good place to stay excellent price
Very convenient for the old city. Excellent Wi-fi easy parking.
Minimal quality and comfort
The location of this hotel is convenient with a tram stop directly in front of the door, and Thomas at the front desk was very nice, but those are the only positives I can say about it. Very difficult to find a place to park to check in due to the tram stop and surrounding one-way streets. 3 flights of stairs to climb with our bags since the elevator was out of service. Opened the door to the room and it smelled like body odor. Pillows were stained and thin. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. Room was fairly clean, but very minimal and filled with the cheapest furniture and appliances possible. We ended up going to the concert we were staying there for and opted to check out at midnight and drive home rather than stay there. Front desk didn't even ask why we weren't staying all night, as I assume they're used to this situation. Hotels dot com has never published a review that isn't super positive - I expect this will be another ignored review.
Within walking distance of le petite France,
Good clean basic apartment next to tram stop close to museum of modern art. I did have an issue with air conditioning so room was changed. Breakfast had no fresh fruit and gluten free were given chrispbreads and madalaine . This looks like a hostel outside but it's a cheap clean apartment with sofa bed in living room , perfect just for sightseeing
Unfortunately, our room was dirty - mould in the shower, dirty dishes in the kitchenette.
Low average
No info given about the area- hair in the shower from a previous guest- good thing was you could walk everywhere-
Good hotel and Very good location walking distance from most important Landmarks Nice staff Average wifi speed basic navigation only however îs free Good breakfast
Air conditioning was not working, The temperature during the day went up to 25 outside but it was 28 in our room. The window was built to be bolted so we couldn't open the window for ventilation. The hotel was fully booked that night so the staff couldn't give us an alternative. Wifi was very weak.
Regular
Bad treatment and seevice. Do not recommend. Won't return. Xxxxxxxxx
Fairly basic and sparsely furnished. But good wheelchair access with roll in shower and very helpful reception staff. We would use it again.
Thanks for the stay
Happy to stay here again, with a tram service just outside to get me to my meetings. The kitchenette facilities are handy, though basic - a bit (ab)used and not all there these days, but i suspect they could replace anything reported. I had a blocked sink and it was fixed that day after i reported it.
Too much loud and noise from neigbours and no reaction at all from administration staff.
Horrible staff rude and unwilling to help. The gate of the parking is not working properly and they don t care. After 10cm of snow they did not clean the stairs they were icy and slippery obviously no salt.
Good transport links
That was good experience as a whole, we checked in very late in night, but night shift guy was very helpful and he welcomed us in a good manner, Wifi was the problem through out in apartment, we used wifi when we were downstair, requested many times to reception, but i think they had no one who can fix wifi.
Rip off
I booked a room and even though I had the confirmation . The staff told me that it wasn’t taken from my credit card and they asked for a double price . When I told them I didn’t get an email saying that it was not paid , they said they can cancel it if I want. I asked If I didn’t show up would you charge the price that I booked? They said yes . They were trying to rip me off and they weren’t helpful. So I booked it again from the same agency for a better price just to be able to give this feedback here. I don’t recommend this hotel. The beds were making noise and wasn’t comfortable, either. The only thing is it is very central but other than that no positive sides.
Great city and wonderful Christmas Village; Parking may be a problem
COULD NEVER NOT RECOMMEND
Initially assigned an room with several maintenance issues including no working air-con ( in a room with no opening window). Changed to another room... also no functioning air-con though an opening window... so acceptable. Room comfort proved to be extremely poor. Low bed with uncomfortable mattress, terrible (cushion-like) pillows, bedside-tables ridiculously tiny plus minuscule space to walk by the end of the bed! Add to this the annoying & inadequate lighting (plus main overhead light which was non-functioning ) & the useless & flimsy bedside lights (impossible to read in bed) and a small table which was improperly fixed to base, so moved /swivelled & made use of it impossible. In all, a very poorly maintained room, though clean. I understand it is a basic hotel but one expects it to be functioning ! Oh! Bring your own soap & shampoo ! One tiny /“doll-sized” piece supplied for 3-night (4-day) stay...also soap / shampoo dispenser empty! (You will need to keep swapping it from the shower to the hand basin! ) No other items supplied other than a rudimentary supply of toilet paper. The common hallway was filthy with deeply & severely stained “carpet.” (Animal stains??) Entrance to the building also filthy with strewn cigarette butts. Quite unbelievable arrogance that a hotelier would expect guests to stay in such conditions. Pleasant helpful staff & lightrail/tram at door were the positives but I would never stay here again & strongly deter others from considering.
Good value
Very large and well-equipped room. Although it faced the street there was almost no external noise. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was self-service in a rather souless basement room. My only complaint would be that the pillows in the room in which I stayed were very thin.
Average
Really just a basic city hotel that was very clean except for stains in the carpet in the room. Large rooms.
Fantastice place to stay
Stayed for a couple of nights to visit the city. was very impressed with the apartment in the city centre very comfortable with helpful staff always on hand.fully equiped kitchen nice bathroom. useful having secure parking (Limited so pre book)
Overall a nice place to stay, not very comfortable and very hot in all the rooms.
Great 10-day stay at Appart'City Strasbourg
My husband and I stayed at the Appart'City in Strasbourg for 10 nights. We were visiting friends in the area, and this was the perfect place to stay. Everything was clean and very practical, and for a very affordable price. We used the in-room kitchenette every day, and it had everything we needed: pots, plates, cutlery, dish soap, etc. The only drawback was that there wasn't very much toilet paper (and they replaced it only once during our stay). I had read about this issue in the Hotels.com reviews, so I expected it and found a nearby grocery store (Norma) where I could stock up (cheaply) -- problem solved! I had also seen in the reviews that an additional drawback is that the hotel doesn't provide room-cleaning services every day. This was actually a good thing for us, as it meant we didn't have to keep rearranging our things each morning with the expectation that someone would be coming in to clean. They came in to clean once, midway through our stay, and that was perfect! We would definitely stay here again. The room was quiet -- we never heard our neighbors -- and in a convenient location (close to the train station, tram, and downtown attractions). The nearby restaurants are also quite good; we ate at most of them. If I had one suggestion, it would be for the hotel to add a few extra furniture pieces to the room. The only comfortable spot was the bed; an armchair or small sofa would definitely be welcome.
Worst service from reception staff EVER
Wow - I have never been so shocked at the level of service provided by a hotel. I have just got back from a two week road trip in Europe. We booked this hotel along with all our other bases on wether they had parking. We arrived at around 3pm and my partner had just driven around four hours from Switzerland. So obviously we just wanted to check in and relax. We pulled into the hotel car park where there was many empty spaces only to be given dirty looks by two girls who were stood smoking in the entrance, who strolled to the side as we tried to pull in. (One of these girls, blonde, I later saw working on deception. Disgusting and unprofessional) Upon checking in I asked how much the parking was and was told 'we don't have it'. No apology or service. No clear directions given to the alternative car park at all. The girl with brown hair and glasses working on the desk was SO RUDE. She told me I had booked through Expedia and when I said I hadn't I was given a look as if I was stupid - obviously I booked on hotels.com! This also happened when I asked for help with the wifi and she actually turned my phone off airplane mode and told me I couldn't access wifi without turning it off. Errrr yes I can! iPhone 6s do connect to wifi whilst on airplane mode. Both times this rude receptionist gave me a look that could kill and was so unhelpful. I'm really not sure why this girl is even employed in the service industry. On top of that the room was basic with dirt on the walls.
Convenient apartment hotel
All was well. Comfortable. Convenient. Nothing earthshaking. Within a short walking distance to Petit France.
not the best
Convenient location, but was not the cleanest, had a sticky feeling to it. pull out bed was very uncomfortable. They did however let us keep our car in the lot while we toured and we're very helpful with our reservation.
A clean, modern hotel in a great location
This was a great experience. The hotel is clean, quiet and modern, and steps away from the historic old town section of Strasbourg. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was very, very friendly and extremely helpful.
Good for the price paid
Placed in good position, petit France is just 10 minutes walking. Car park is an issue and the fact there is no light sign on the hotel make it hard to see it
Perfect apartment
Had not been to Strasbourg since 1982, so just being there was a treat. This apartment was a perfect place to stay and would have been even moreso if I had been staying for a longer time and had taken advantage of the kitchen, which was outfitted with cutlery, cooking utensils, and plates/cups/glasses. What a rare find!!
Close to city center
Noisy because of the tram. Old, tired furniture and carpet. Fairly big rooms with separate well equipped kitchenette. Easy walking distance to center.
Average hotel
This was an okay hotel. It didn't have a cosy feel. Very impersonal corridors and a disappointing breakfast. But a roomy room with kitchen and clean. Helpful staff.
Perfect location between staction and the laiterie
Great location. Really good value. Excellent staff.
Nice clean place with good transportation.
Basic clean fairly quiet next to tram and 10 min walk to main train station, all major POI.
Friendly staff, good value
No complaints. And definitely better than the Appart City in Nice.
Terrible
Room was so beat up and worn down with stains on the carpet and blankets that we felt dirty just being there. The floor in bathroom flooded after only a minute in shower. Had to squeegee the floor while taking my shower. Also the hotel fronts the tracks so it's difficult to park to check in and the website does not give proper directions and when we called it goes only to a call center where they don't even know what country we were in. No help! I would never stay here again - even for free!
Tram out front door. Sweet walk to Petite France.
The room is very basic in style, but is spacious. Mini kitchenette (no dishwasher soap or sink stopper even after requesting them) is useful. Rooms are unusually well lit. Rooms are not serviced each day as in regular hotels - I think one must stay 4 days to have a cleaning. Location good - away from the crowds, but close enough to old town and all its restaurants and a tiny jazz club called Wine Note, and a sweet Tunisien restaurant called Ali Baba.
Good value
This hotel offers a basic standard of comfort at a reasonable price. The room was large with a kitchenette and generally quite well-equipped, with free wi-fi. The staff at reception are friendly and helpful. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are not very attractive but it is within easy walking distance of the Petite France area .
Excellent location at a great price
Clean, comfortable, no problems with Accomodating our dog, easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and the cathedral
Good location
Difficult to drop off bags. On site parking ok but access to hotel with bags a nightmare. Kitchen facility impossibly small and unworkable. Bed comfortable. Shower good. Young receptionist was pleasant and helpful. But - Would not stay there again.
Great value
Very good value hotel. Rooms were decent and had every thing you need. Bed not being attached to the headboard was a bit annoying and having to pay to leave your bags after checkout but cannot complain as it was a bargain. Good location as only 10 minute walk into the grand ile and 10 minutes from the station.
You get what you pay for.
The front desk staff were really nice. The location of the hotel was close to the old town and the tram stop is in front of the hotel (in fact, you can't park in front of the hotel be because the tram tracks and a tram stop is right in front of the hotel). BUT...I have some issues with the place. First, the carpets were visibly filthy. I avoided putting my bare feet on the carpet because it just looked gross. Second, if you have a car, good luck finding a parking space on the street. The hotel said they have limited parking, and I missed an opportunity to get a space. Fortunately, I was able to find a space on the street, but I felt uncomfortable leaving it on the street. The area around the hotel...well my friend likes to call it "a neighborhood in transition". While trying to find a parking a space about block or two away from the hotel, there were prostitutes on the street. And maybe this the norm and is accepted. The hotel room had a kitchette with a fridge, a two burner stove which was nice and convenient (although we did not cook). The bed was small, but comfortable. The only thing I really liked about the room was that it had air conditioning.
Hotel staff is very excellent and kindness for us
Very central location
Good condition .kitchen well equipped Beds comfortable.Very clean .Old stains on the carpet, maybe unable to be removed.?
Impressive staff!
Access There is a tram station(Line B, E)just in front of the hotel's entrance ,so it is really east to access. Also you can go there by bus Line 25. To get on either of them you need 1-hour ticket(€1.70) which you can ride either within 1 hour any time. Amenities The cheapest room includes a tiny kitchen and a bathroom. The bedroom is comfortable and relaxing. Service There is a laundry room where you can have your clothes washed and dried for €6(washing powder included). Make sure to ask the reception how to use the machines. I myself was confused and mistook the dryer for the washing machine ,so I put all my clothes into the dryer along with a washing powder. It turned out a real mess but the staffs were really kind. They kept apologizing and gave me a new powder cube and a new token for the machine for free! I was truly impressed! Wi-fi The cheapest room does not include wi-fi ,but you can buy a wi-fi password for less than €2 a night( I cannot remember the exact fee) and it worked really fast!
Great apartment and location
Great place for access to railway and Petite France tourist area
Strasbourg
good value for money in a European Parliament's plenary session week. friendly staff, good location, tram in front of the hotel.
The worst hotel in my life
I can't imagine how bad is the hotel room, totally failed.
Great room for a family as it was big. Friendly check in. Unfortunately the room smelt like stale smoke of days past. Suited us as a quick overnight stay before moving on.
Basic suite in the city center
Hotel itself was not hard to find but parking was very confusing - had to check in, get a code, and drive around a block to get behind the building. Gate difficult to operate. Extra charge for using the safe, crazy high price for a less than basic buffet breakfast. Room was very hot - air conditioning was not working. Clerk told us to be glad we had a window to open. Two room suite with bath and tiny kitchenette in between, no amenities whatsoever, not even facial tissue. For the price, it was OK to stay in the location but it is more of a college student-type hostel than a hotel. Best part was a convenient walk to Petit France.
Great hotel in an amazing city
A very pleasant stay in a well priced apart style hotel Convenient with a kitchenette Convenient with a Tram Stop at the front door A 5minute walk to La Oetite France the old town tourist area of Strasbourg. What a wow factor city to visit
