We loved the original 50s aesthetic of the property, bathrooms in particular. New ownership should never change these as they are the reason people like us book this place!
Really like the concept of having standalone rooms(every two rooms share one building). There was a gentleman staying in the room next to me and I never heard him all night. There was a picnic table next to each building as well. These rooms are clean, but dated. Perfect spot for passing through. Comfortable beds, only an hour ride to Big Bend National Park the next morning.
Older style motor lodge that was quaint and quiet! Loved that we could park very near our cottage style lodging to unload and load.
No frills, cute lodge
T
I like that you can drive right up to the front door of the cabin. Rustic charm on outside, while interiors have seen a nice upgrade in furniture and appliances in recent years. There's some1950s funk you have to deal with (like few plugs and old school showers) but these are minor quibbles in in some way just add to the charm. I would definitely stay again. Good bed.
We had a good stay here. We loved stayed outside by the fire and enjoying the weather.
Antelope Lodge
Room was clean, staff was excellent. Wifi not so great. Pillows not so great.excellent location, lots of restaurants and shops within 5 min drive.
Cute place! Quiet, clean, and comfy! Rooms are a bit small.
Would recommend.
Vintage vibe property right off highway and close to Marfa. Windows were hard to open and could have helped with a musty smell. We did feel our stay was convenient and comfortable! The staff was kind and helpful. Overall a great pick in the area.
The room was clean. It’s a quaint property without modern conveniences. Outside of the unit the ground is uneven and not good for someone with mobility challenges. There was dog poop outside the entrance that had not been cleaned up. It was very quiet and there is a nice area to sit outside and enjoy the morning and evening. I did not see any staff and the office was closed, so it was self check in with a code. I had trouble with the code to retrieve the key and the answering service never responded to my call. The lock box reset and I was able to get the key. If one expects very little then you won’t be disappointed, but if you have moderate expectations you may not be comfortable at this property.
Exactly what we needed!
Room was clean and tidy and wee maintained. I loved how they have maintained the structures and tile roofs!
Exactly what we needed after a long day of driving.
Cool unique cabin set up Older but clean
Lovely cottage. Very rustic but had everything you could possibly need. They thought of everything.
Wonderful place! The pictures don't do it justice. Our cabin was decorated and furnished "retro" style and it was great. Common kitchen was well furnished. We sat in the nice courtyard, in the shade, and had dinner. Great experience. Highly recommended.
Loved bringing back memories
Quick and easy check-in.
super nice decor
Nice quiet casitas, cute courtyard, Clean rooms.
Super Comfortable and Dog Friendly
People were super nice there. They found out I brought my dogs, and when I got back to my room that night, they had put a dog bed in there for me. 10/10 will stay again.
We’ve stayed here four times. The cottages are better than staying in a hotel.
Enjoyed the common area kitchen and courtyard!
I'll Stay here again
We enjoyed our stay. The facilities are somewhat dated but the inner courtyard was appreciated. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. I would stay here again.
Clean room
Unique building.
I really enjoyed this stay. I liked the vibe.
Outdoor common area was nice. chairs and bbq pits set up for use.
The staff was great. Cabin and beds comfortable and air conditioning cold. Enjoyed the fire pit.
What a cool, renovated old tourist court. Went to Alpine for a museum event and several other attendees were staying at the Antelope, as well. It was fun to hang out in the beautiful courtyard that had abundant seating, tables, grills... inside was so cute and spotlessly clean! The only complaint was the faucet in the bathroom dripped horribly and had no stopper in the sink hole, so in order for us to sleep we had to sacrifice a washcloth over the hole. Otherwise, hell yeah we"ll stay there whenever we come to Alpine!
Don’t overlook this cute and affordable lodge!
The space is stylish and clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. It’s dog friendly, which was important to us. And just a twenty minute drive away from Marfa. The lodge had amenities we didn’t have a chance to take advantage of: a fire pit, an air conditioned lobby with games, and a really cute gift shop. We also couldn’t beat the price! I will recommend the Antelope Lodge and look forward to staying again!
Awsome property and staff
Historical Alpine Delight
Lovely little historical motel. It was a nice place to lay our heads down after a long hot drive across Texas.
Such a cute little property! Really enjoyed our stay here!
Friendly
Staff friendly, helpful. Rooms were clean, staff replaced towels daily.
Artsy in Alpine
Quaint artsy hotel ousltside of Marfa in Alpine,Tx..was truley a cool and neat place to stay..
Very cool retro motor lodge...an actual key opens your room door...well decorated and nice and quiet for sitting outside your room and reading or just enjoying the cool evening air.
The staff is super friendly. This is a very cute little motor court that is kept up well. We had a very good experience staying here.
So cute and well laid out with parking right outside our door! The room is very very clean and comfortable. Definitely staying here each time I drive past on my way to Mex!
Great room, quality towels, great coffee, nostalgic.
The property was basic, very clean and the lady at the front was great! She was very welcoming and her recommendations for restaurants were spot on!
I stayed here for one night in April 2024. I checked in at 9pm after hiking longer than I expected in Big Bend National Park. While there was no one in the office, there was an envelope on the door with my name on it with a key and the Wifi code inside. I did like that because I was worried at first of how I was going to check in. The place has a nice and relaxing courtyard. The room was a vibe with all the 1950's feels including a 1950's looking microwave and fridge. There was an older 1950's looking table and chairs and other decore in my room. The bathroom was clean but I didn't care much for the shower. The bed was clean and comfy. I would stay here again.
The whole check in process sucked. Even with an open sign the door message for Expedia guest to use the lockbox was very put offish. I did not notice the bleached out map so had a had time finding the unit. Wanted to take a shower after a long day of hiking in the sun. It was almost warm. And by the time I settled in to surf the net I needed a password that was not provided and the lobby was by this point locked tight.
Cute Vintage Motor Court
I very much enjoyed my stay at Antelope Lodge. I stayed in the "basic single" which provided more than adequate space for the night. Be warned, however, the bathroom is a tight squeeze! The basic single rooms are located right next to the highway, so only check into one if you're a heavy sleeper. The staff was very kind and accommodating with my late check-in.
very convenient ... comfy....clean and simple
Thumbs Up
Loved it! super cute bed was comfy if i had one negative thing it would be the bathroom....toilet kinda close to the wall but we adjusted. Also great location. We would stay there again for sure
I chose this property because it was cute and historic, and because in the photos you can see that some rooms have small kitchens. I intentionally booked a room that had a kitchen, listed as "cottage, 1 queen bed". When I didn't get the kitchen I went to the front desk and was told that the kitchens were taken out a couple of years ago and the owners have failed to update the photos on Expedia. Aside from that, I was happy with my room and enjoyed the cute historic touches.
Nice spot in a quaint little town
Stayed 1 night enroute to driving back home from a NM roadtrip. I've driven thru Alpine before, but never spent the night. It's a cute, kitschy little town with scenic views, nice restaurants & a peaceful atmosphere. The cabins at the Antelope Lodge are comfy, private & quiet. Our cabin faced the open courtyard that was under a huge old tree with seating, a firepit & bbq grills. We also had chairs & a patio area outside our door. It was roomy, with a separate bedroom and living/dining area. Fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and TV's in bedroom & iving room were all included. It showed a little wear, but that just added to its historic feel (built in 1950). My only concerns were electrical as we noticed some lights dimmed when the TV was turned on? I'd stay there again if I was in the Alpine area.
Stay at Antelope Lodge
Antelope lodge was great. It was a cozy cottage feel. The staff members were hospitable and were all happy to help. Unique experience and great vintage/ gift shop in the lobby. Great little getaway while exploring the desert. Would definitely come back.
Staff was amazing and short distance from town. It was nice, quiet, and clean.
All went well
We would stay there again, basic but nice
Texas traveler
Everything was excellent, this a great place to stay.
all older duplexes with thick adobe like walls, duplexes surround a nice relaxing area w/chairs and tables. Very quiet.
Lots of charm. Great shower !
Very nice. Room was quite cute and we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.
Great view
Second stay at Antelope Lodge - it's always a pleasure!
Picture a remote hunter's cabin. Bathroom so small I had to sit sideways to use the toilet. Staff is friendly, but the room was just too rough.
Cute, comfortable, and clean!
Cute, comfortable, and clean! This 1950s "motor court" room was both quaint and updated with everything you need. I love the retro style and how the clean the room and bathroom was. Part of the charm is it being an old place with modern charm. Recommend and would definitely stay here again.
Liked the central courtyard.
The staff here is top-tier! Very helpful & friendly.
Quaint older lodges built in 1950. Rooms have been upgraded with modern appliances. I like that they’re are only two units per lodge so you have some privacy. There’s a communal kitchen which proved very convenient. The temperature dropped into the high twenties one night and the bathroom had no heater so it was cold. Overall very nice. It was a nice break from Holiday Inn.
Fab vintage roadside motel. Not a great shower, but the charm overrode any inconvenience.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. The place is cute & quaint, very clean. I'd stay again
Door needed frames replaced.
Great place, and staff!
Cute vintage accommodations! Fun & Quirky, great outdoor area for hanging out around the fire.
Super cute place. Clean.
Great condition for a 72 yo motel. Lots of updated features.
Cute cozy place, worth the price. Easy check in and check out.
Very comfortable room.
My room was quiet, clean and cozy. Would stay again!
The toilet leaked water to the floor. The cable worked the first night but then not on subsequent nights. No one answered the lodge number for assistance.
No place to sit comfortably, shower was uncomfortable
would stay again
Good place to stay in west Texas, would stay again
We liked it was a little Casita vintage style. Property is older hot water takes a long time to come out. But it was an experience
Great little cottages and wonderful staff
Cute rooms and very helpful staff
I enjoyed my one night stay! The owners left a key for me since I was arriving late. The rooms are small but nicely decorated and very clean. I would’ve been very happy to have stayed longer, but was just passing through. You do get some traffic noise.
Quirky 1950's retro motor-hotel. Cluster of adobe cabins, welcoming, courtyard, quiet setting. Highly recommended.
The Antelope Lodge was the perfect place to stay for an overnighter in Alpine. The check in process was super easy! The cabins were cute, and the beds were very comfortable! Slept like a baby!!!
1950's type cottage with up to date refrigerator, microwave and tv. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to visiting again in the spring.
Not for family
This is not for family stake with kids. Suite we had is 1950 or older house. Has a smallest shower and basin and bathroom. Not recommended for family.
Unique and Safe
We stayed at the Antelope Lodge for a few nights while visiting our son that attends Sul Ross. It was a nice quiet area. We felt very safe. I would say very unique experience.
Traffic outside was a little loud but overall this was a very cute and clean place
So charming, clean and just a little hidden gem! Loved it.
Such a cool and cozy place. Decor was so unique and special. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay here again!
This place is a gem! My cabin was so cute and comfy. The entire property was very clean and loved sitting in the garden in the morning to drink coffee. I will definitely stay here again!
At first glance the property is so cute! But there were bugs in the rooms, hidden pet fees, and so many stickers and burrs in the yard that I had to carry my pet. I expected more for the $200 rate.
It was one of a kind lodge. Very cute!
Had a good stay
The room was as advertised, small, but clean and nice. It was well air conditioned and the bed was comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly. But the grounds were in disrepair. The property did not look inviting at all. The common areas were brown, not green at all, and there were lots of stickers so it was not suited for our pet.
Throw back
Love this throw-back lodge! Great outdoor area with fire pits. Barbecue grills also. Enjoy the dark sky
Warm and Welcoming place to land in Alpine.
No one will mistake this for the Four Seasons, but the charming cottages at the Antelope Lodge have everything you could possibly need. The person at the counter was very friendly and efficient. This was my second stay at Antelope Lodge. I'll be back!
This was a nice place to stay for the night. It was quiet and we got a good night's sleep. Very clean and wonderful staff.
Very clean lodge and room. Spacious area outside for our dogs.
No heat in bathroom and the window unit heater kept cutting on and off.
This is my go to place to stay in Alpine!

Arrived after 6 pm and host had contacted us about directions and key access. Good customer service. Arrived after dark nobody else at lodge , with abnormally cool outdoor temperatures difficulty getting room temperature comfortable. Concrete floors and retro interior. Room and bedding were clean. Lodge is rated high but with our late arrival would have preferred hotel stay. Staff accommodating.
