The hotel was lovely, beach was great and very clean. Not a lot to do around the local area

Not luxurious hotel

Nice hotel but it should not be called Luxury as the service is not luxury. We asked for one glass of tap water for my son during dinner time and they didn't provide as you have to buy the whole bottle even though I only wanted one glass. We didn't feel to be treated like we r in luxury hotel, gym needs maintenance and also Spa is very simple. Sorry but this is not luxurious hotel.

Just okay

Overall, the stay was just okay. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and helpful, and certain areas of the resort were well-maintained: the main reception area, the main pool and aqua park, the spa area, and the gardens. On the minus side, the room was more dilapidated and unclean than one would expect for the price (there was a heavy ring of black mold on the shower head and I had to ask for it to be cleaned, I found random hair throughout the room, the sofa had a broken cushion with the stuffing bursting out of the seams, etc.). The food served for half-board was also just mediocre and lacked flavour. I wouldn't rate this place as a 5-star resort, maybe 4 for the amenities (and 3 for the room).

Everything was lovely

It’s a nice hotel with good staff, but it is expensive for what you get and I wouldn’t call it luxury.

Nice calm resort. Some families, but mostly older and more mature people. The waterpark is great for kids. The restaurants are OK, and have good diversity. Beach is a short walk from the hotel, but when the winds are high, it is not possible to swim. Area around the hotel is somewhat sparse. Very nice rooms and facilities!

Loved the waterpark esp for our son. Also the buffet for dinner was excellent, though the a la carte restaurants not so much. The room was spacious and clean with no carpet on the floor. Staff were excellent too, professional but friendly. The only thing missing was a bidet in the bathroom.

Very nice hotel, if it was a lower price point. We paid over $1000 a night for a "sea view" suite, but could only see the sea while standing while roof tops blocked most of the view. Buffet breakfast and dinners were very nice with lots of variety. The beach was sandy and very nice, be prepared for a walk or a shuttle to get there. Beachside restaurant was very good for dinner. Spa was a nice set up. Staff was very friendly overall.

It was an extremely long check in process. They wouldn’t let us trade in our “free” a la carte dinner for lunch.

We had an amazing stay at Anemos. The property has its own private beach which is well maintained with sun beds, showers, changing rooms and toilets. Plus the beach bar can serve cocktails while you relax at the beach. The food was great, and buffet was suitable for all age groups. We travelled with kids and they loved the mini water park, available inside the resort premise. Staff was always available and service was quick. The property is well maintained, and we are enjoyed all the evening shows. Only thing we did not like was the dinner at the beach fish restaurant. And the buggy drivers were a bit annoyed with kids, as they take longer to board the buggy. They need to be a bit more patient especially with families with kids.

Great Place, my wife, daughter and I had fun there and will definitely be back.

This property far exceeded my expectations. Friendly and courteous staff, good food, room was a great size, beautiful grounds, and offered all the amenities you’d expect on a resort property. Can’t wait to come back and stay longer next time.!!!!

Great hotel, excellent food and good facilities and sandy beach

Heart warming stay

The staff here are just fabulous. So lovely, warm, accommodating and kind. We were at this hotel during one of the strangest times in Human history and the staff just went out of their way to make everyone happy. We had a few hiccups - but considering what the staff were working around, they were rectified quickly. The pool and beach areas are lovely and I had a massage in the spa I almost can’t remember because I was so blissed out- really special after months in isolation. There were families, couples and people on their own. All seemed to enjoy. The beach at sunset is a truly spectacular experience.

We had an absolutely superb holiday. The hotel was perfect, the staff were, without exception, always friendly, helpful and cheerful that it created a great atmosphere throughout the whole place. The setting was stunning, between the beach and the mountains, the pools and communal areas were even better than they look on the website and the whole place was so beautifully lit at night. The food was fabulous. It’s a genuine 5 star hotel that makes kids feel welcome but without becoming somewhere people wouldn’t come to without children. A perfect balance. We are about to book again for next year because we all loved it so much.

The staff at this resort made our stay wonderful, they were so helpful, friendly and had such a personal way that we felt like we were friends. My husband and I travel worldwide and never stay somewhere twice, it’s a big world with beautiful hotels - we want to sample as many as possible.......but Anemos Luxury Resort......yes please, again and again. We will definitely be back :)

Great family holiday. Perfect hotel.

Amazing Hotel. The staff are exceptional. Food is extremely good for large buffet. Enjoyed every aspect. The children's play area and club is undersold on the website but is really great. The beach is one of the best on the island and the hotel has exclusive beds and a beach bar. Can't recommend enough.

Americans in Greece

Anemos was an amazing resort facility. It was absolutely exquisite. The stunning pool deck area with lounge chairs and restaurants surrounding it were central to everything.. Our accommodations included a breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet. We’ve been on many cruises and eaten at many fine buffets but The selection, quality, presentation, and taste at Anemos surpasses them all. We had two different room types. One with a private pool and the other a two story suite. They were both very comfortable. I would strongly endorse this resort.

Not a 5 stars

The hotel is close to the beach but need to walk via a tunnel. The problem for this hotel is that all the towels provided are so old, the face towel is like a mop for the floor! The room wasn’t clean. They may need some good training for keeping the place like a 5 stars. Rooms are small. The wardrobe is small and no sofa to sit on. Only one chair and a foot stool. The bathroom looks cheap. Like a 3 stars hotel. The shower head is something you can buy from a DIY store. We didn’t use the pool as it’s crowded. We spent most of our time at our private pool. We were there when the temperature was 33C. The air con wasn’t cold enough. The staff were trying their best with very good service. That’s a plus! Overall not impressed by the hotel. It’s more like a cheap 4 stars.

Nothing about luxury at all

Horrible 3 start experience for a price of a 5 star property. Absolutely nothing about Luxury in this hotel! So-called "sea view" rooms are overlooking the road along with all advantages of its noise and smell. Loud music on evenings and terrible repars on the noon. Awful food - same buffet every day, poor variety, nothing healthy for kids at all. You are lucky if you'll get towels in the beach as they tells you every second day that there were no electricity in the laundry. Cleaning service may leave a dirt in your bed and it's okay for them to make the balcony door opened (luckily nothing disappeared from our room, but that's simply insane for the 1st floor aprtment). Several stinky areas on the way to the beach makes even the lovely sea here unwanted. Never pay in the hotel mini market with credit card unless you want your CVV to be stolen. Moved to another hotel for the rest of our stay and did not received any refund they promised to make. Choose this hotel as there was no bad reviews, seems like all others here are just fake. Please do not risk your money and time with this prorerty.

Great location, just across the street from a large and quiet beach. The restaurant is just amazing. A huge variety of different and fresh food every day, both for breakfast and dinner. Quality is extremely high, just amazing. The staff of the hotel is welcoming, smiling and very helpful all the times. Strongly recommended.

Excellent newly built resort!Perfect for families!

This one week stay was a pleasant surprise for our family. Pros: The hotel was built in 2015 and it has modern facilities. It is pleasure to stay in every part of the hotel. The half board that we had I would call it a festival of gastronomy [I am Greek myself living abroad and I can tell that the food was beyond expectations, including sweets and fresh, very good fruit]. The private beach is amazing for kids as it is quite shallow and has clean sand all the way. Be aware though that sometimes it can be windy. Although we had 2 days with yellow flag, despite that, we enjoyed it big time. It has dissent entertainment programme every night, with shows and dance. Kids pool and kids club is perfect place for families. It is just very good. Staff is extra helpful and friendly, so you never feel uncomfortable. Bottom line, THIS IS THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY place. Cons: WiFi is unstable and poor. I was using my mobile data. At the same time, why do you need stable Internet when you are on the beach?! Kids Club does great job, but their work should not be addressed, as a priority, to German speakers only! Although it is understandable that the hotel's main customers are from Germany, the Switzerland and Austria, the rest should not be treated differently. In any event, I would love to visit this resort next year. It it just really good. Recommend it.

It was second time our vacation at Anemos Grand Luxury resort and still best hotel and kindness of staff!

Lovely hotel with excellent service

Lovely welcome and great service - I mean *really* great service! Whatever the management are doing to motivate the staff here, it's really working. The location is not amazing if you want to walk into town or eat out, but why would you want to? Food here is excellent and there is A LOT of choice. I'm vegan, and get a bit bored with salad, but there were multiple different options for me every day. The food is fresh and I'd say their fare is pan-European and American. I don't think I saw any Indian or Chinese dishes. There's a choice of restaurants in the hotel itself - as you can guess, we mostly ate at the buffet. The beach is opposite the hotel, and they organise activities here. The pools are very warm, level, and relatively shallow. Great for kids. There were a number of things in our room that didn't quite work properly - the shower head wouldn't stay at the right height, the plug wasn't useable so no baths, and a few niggly things like that. We only had one night there so no chance for the hotel to resolve these issues, but I'm certain they would have very quickly. I don't know that our room was particularly luxurious, but the décor was lovely, fresh and modern. The beds were extremely comfy! I haven't stayed in a nicer room anywhere in Greece. Wifi was excellent.

Overall was a nice holiday. Staff attentive, buffet restaurant was decent.

Gorgeous luxury resort

The resort is gorgeous. Its not the type of place we normally stay at but we definitely enjoyed the experience. The buffet dinner was delightful. The beach facilities excellent and the pool is fabulous. We only stayed one night so didnt get to explore the surrounding areas but we enjoyed it to be just put in one place for a day. Staff were great as well!

Amazing Hotel

It was amazing!!! All my expectations were fulfilled, spacious clean room, food, drinks, area, helpful kind stuff, everything was great and I will definitely visit Anemos Resort again.I totally recommend it!!!

From the moment we set our foot in the resort we felt we are Being taken care of by the welcoming personal. We felt as if we were VIP's. The resort is designed very good and everything is accessible. We were given many complimentary's. We loved the room, the pool, the spa and mostly the beach.

Our Recent Stay!

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed the hotel and surrounding area. Hotel is new and very beautiful....mountain backdrop also added additional beauty. I suggest renting a car as it will be easier to get to Chania, Rethymnon and Heraklion.

Luxury hotel

Arrived back today. Lovely hotel and facilities, still finishing the last few parts but this had no impact on our stay. Would certainly recommend this hotel and surrounding area

Experience marred by unfinished hotel

We were placed in a lower class room than what we paid for. The shared pool villa has no privacy around the pools which is exposed to the driveway. The generators are right outside the the villa and power was lost 9 times and they are very noisy. There were wires exposed in the bathroom. There was no towel rail or toilet roll holder. The bathroom was a poor design so the floor remained wet all the time. This hotel is brand new put was not yet ready to open. The staff struggled at check in and when I advised Anastasia we had been put in the shared pool villa instead of the deluxe private pool villa that we paid for., disappointingly nothing was done. Breakfast wAs very good and the breakfast staff were friendly. The beach is beautiful . This hotel had a snagging lust a mile long it's a shame things were unfinished as it lessened our experience of Crete.

Der Urlaub war wieder fantastisch, hier passt alles, freundliches, aufmerksames Personal, alles topgepflegt sind die Zimmer, Garten - und Poolanlage. Toll auch der Weg zum Meer, man kann zu Fuß gehen oder gefahren werden, wunderbar. Wir haben sogar unser Wunschzimmer erhalten und durften schon 2 Stunden früher hinein. Wir kommen von Herzen gerne wieder.

Top Familienhotel für Strandurlaub

Absolut Tolles Hotel. Würde es direkt nochmals buchen. Hotelanlage sehr schön, Strand zu Fuss erreichbar (oder Shuttle) absolut sensationell. Buffet, Essen und Service absolut TOP.

Struttura cinque stelle ma i servizi erano molto limitati attraverso orari restrittivi ! Ad esempio dopo le 21:30 non si poteva più cenare in nessun ristorante nonostante ce ne fossero più di 5 all’interno del resort! La piscina e gli altri servizi erano usufruibili solo fino alle 18:30 troppo presto per chi viole utilizzare le ultime ore di sole e non esporsi in pieno giorno. Nonostante ci fossero molti italiani all’interno della struttura non era previsto nessuno del personale o reception che la parlasse e nemmeno i fogli 📝 informativi che davano in altre lingue (francese, tedesco etc.) erano scritti in italiano . Per me è di una categoria max di 4 stelle.

The hotel and especially the staff were amazing. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming, it made the stay fantastic. The hotel Beach is absolutely great and the ocean clean and amazing. The pool area is very nice and the beds are arranged nicely, so that everybody has enough privacy. The buffet was good, sometimes a few dishes were a little bit dull, but the offered a brought selection of international and local food, so you will always find something very good. The fruit selection was very nice and really tasty. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom very nice. We had a nice little terrace. All in all a perfect stay and also a good starting point to visit other beaches if you have a car. The bus to Chania/Rethymno stops in front of the hotel as well.

Hébergement propre grosse déception par rapport au personnel à l'accueil et au "service client" qui nous regarde de haut, l'air très hautaines et PAS DU TOUT accueillante ou bienveillante. Dommage pour un 5 étoiles. Nous ne nous sommes pas senti à l'aise avec ce personnel et certaines personnes au restaurant. En revanche, heureusement les voituriers et le personnel de chambre étaient vraiment au top ! ils ont essayé de nous comprendre (avec notre anglais parfois approximatif et les femmes de chambres certaines ne parlaient pas anglais mais on arrivait à se comprendre mieux qu'avec le personnel de l'accueil). Petit exemple : nous avions perdu le doudou de notre enfant la veille de notre départ. Nous avons demandé de l'aide à l'accueil, pas de réaction, ils ont vaguement noté le n° de la chambre sur un post it sans même noté le sujet... alors qu'avec les femmes de chambres et voituriers ils se sont démené pour nous aider et nous rapporter ce précieux doudou (qui avait été emporté dans les draps un matin) et doudou lavé repassé merci! pour ce qui est de la restauration : buffet très bien nous avions pris demi pension aucune boisson inclus malheureusement même pas l'eau (3.50 € la bouteille) jus d'orange / cafe / the / chocolat chaud le matin inclus. Nous avions soit disant le droit d'aller à un des autres restaurant 1 fois"gratuitement" mais toujours full donc impossible d'y aller... installation bien mais quel dommage aucune piscine chauffée
