The staff at Anemomilos Hotel & Apartments were excellent at their jobs. The reception staff was knowledgeable about Santorini and surrounding areas and offered options for transportation and activities to do. We had the same waiter for 3 dinners at the Anemomilos Restaurant. He was incredibly personable and served us delicious meals. The lamb is highly recommended. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant that was included with our room had lots of variety and was a great way to start our days. The cleaning staff were thorough and respectful. We shared the small pool with family and couldn’t have been happier with the view and location of the property. Such an amazing place to stay. The property is highly recommended by the 4 of us that stayed in the Hydor and Gaia rooms. Thank you to all.

Bad front desk service

The property is pretty, view is spectacular. The front desk personnel although nice, once called on room landline to complain that other guests should be able to click pictures on the terrace of my room (not the shared one) and thought that she could lecture me on random unnecessary stuff. She didn’t know how to properly convey anything nor had anything important to say expect waste my time to take favour of guests who started clicking pictures putting their phone on our table when we were having drinks on the table, so we had to leave and after half an hour had to request the other guests to let us use our table. Very annoying front desk person who doesn’t know how to do her job well and thinks it’s okay to bother guests on vacation because of other guests who lack common sense and manners.

Great location for the price. Staff was accomodating and nice as well.

Perfect location and close to amenities. Great breakfast which was included. Toiletries available and even beach towels (if only I knew). Loved the little studio we stayed in which was right by the pool. Restaurant was one of the best in my opinion. Great food and great service

Sin duda alguna este ha sido uno de los mejores hoteles donde me he quedado en mi vida. Desde que llegas, la atención de las chicas en recepción es maravillosa. La habitación es cómoda, moderna y realmente puedes descansar, tiene todas las comodidades. Además disfruté tener la vista hacia la piscina. Es un hotel tranquilo, con lindas áreas verdes y muy cerca del centro de Oia para caminar, a tan solo 5 min. Tienes la parada de bus cerca, un mini market al frente, estacionamiento y el hotel cuenta con su propio restaurante que es maravilloso, además tiene un personal muy amable, atento y servicial. El dueño del restaurante es tan amigable que te da la Bienvenida a diario con una gran sonrisa, además en nuestro último día llegamos tarde al desayuno y estábamos conscientes que debíamos pagar, pero nuestra sorpresa fue que luego de desayunar, al momento de pagar, nos dijo: cortesía nuestra. OMG, no podía creerlo! La comida deliciosa también, fresca, del día, hecha al momento. De verdad que si vengo de nuevo a Santorini, me hospedaría acá sin dudarlo.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Really close to the main Oia town/strip. Very convenient. Lovely clean room and pool.

Albeit we chose the most inexpensive room, it was like a dungeon and very small. It was on the bottom floor, and the bed was on a concrete platform. The floor and bathroom were concrete too. There was only one hook for the towels, and the curtains were thin, letting the light in at night. There was a musty smell in the hallway to the room. The redeeming features were a very nice pool and a good breakfast. The owner was very nice.

The Anemomilos Hotel was wonderful. Just on the edge on the action, but for the value, you have the views, the vibe and the feeling of higher priced hotels in the area. Pool area is beautiful and has a sunset view. Just 5 minute walk from central pedestrian zone. Great breakfast! Super nice staff. Restaurant on premises is very tasty if you don’t want to deal with crowds. Air conditioning is sufficient but not what one is use to. Rooms were updated and clean. Daily maid service. Reception (Lena) is very wonderfully helpful. Everyone on Santorini was very nice. Leave yourself extra time when waiting for an Uber.

Hotel help us arrange the taxi from airport, make our trip seamless connect with the hotel from airport, the taxi driver is excellent and friendly.

Beautiful hotel. Staff were so helpful, restaurant was amazing. Easy and free parking. Room with sea view and hot tub at a very reasonable price. Quick walk into oia. We will definitely return 10/10

Perfect location, in OIA

Perfect location in Santorini and walking distance from Oia. Lots of places to eat and walk. we had a seaview room and very clean. Reception was very friendly. and the best part was breakfast. very fresh. We stayed in different places in Greece with breakfast and this place has the BEST breakfast

my only reason for non 5 stars is that they could heat the pool. Food and service were excellent

good location, pool, breakfast was good

I stayed in Villa, little far from the main hotel on the opposite side. Amazing caldera views from the villas, not from the main hotel building. Nice and convenient walkable location to Oia main spots. Villa front area was priceless but for the price we pay for these, rooms could have been upgraded. Switches were not working, lights were not working. Had speakers throughout the rooms but not working. Most of the speakers were handing from the wire, towels had a hole in them... etc etc.

Excellent property short walk to Oia. Staff were very attentive, and extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities were excellent. We got a suite with spa on balcony which was fabulous, ours didn’t have a view of Caldera but the view on other side was lovely watching sun coming up in morning! Book this hotel you won’t be disappointed!

This was the best holiday so far. The people that work here were just amazing and became friends instantly. They took very good care of us. The whole place was clean the room was kept very clean. I would thoroughly recommend this place as an excellent location for your stay.

If you’re looking for a quiet place, love to hike the steps and walk than this is the place to stay.

Not on caldera side, but a short walk gets you the best views, shopping and restaurants.great deal if in a budget. very quiet and convenient. Staff extremely helpful. Wished breakfast was earlier than 8:30 but they did make cold boxes for pickup at 10:00 night before. Hot tub in room was only like warm. Comfy bed and linens. Nice bathroom and shower. Arranged transport from airport and to port for 40 euros. Wi-Fi was spotty.

It is the ideal location.. 5 minutes from pedestrian walk, across the street was a little market and a place to rent catamarans, etc

Great stay!

Had an absolutely wonderful time here with my sister. It’s in a location where it is an easy walk to the main Oia strip but away from the crowds. Loved watching the sunset from our room and the pool. The staff were very friendly, restaurant was delicious and we enjoyed our stay here very much!

How welcoming was everyone the owners the reception, our room was clean and beautiful, maid service every day, the breakfast buffet was superb and we ate 3 times in the restaurant as well I can honestly say that we was sad to leave, we will highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in this fabulous location

Great hospitality, clean and overall friendly staff

Staff was extremely helpful, cheerful and professional. They have parking available and a restaurant next door along with a grocery store and bus stop across the street. Road into the shopping area is quite narrow, just be mindful. Shopping is about a 5-10 minute walk away from hotel. Pool area is lovely - it's a great location! Rooms are spacious.

Property is pretty and clean but no coffee and tea. And because temperature drop at night heater can’t heat a big room. It might be nice to stay there when weather are good. We didn’t use the hot tub😩

The property was okay as compared to what I paid for. Staff members Yianis, George and Dimitris were very friendly and pleasant. The location made it easier to get to town and catch the bus. Above all, it was a good experience. We upgraded our room with no hustle.

A nice little property with very small rooms and bathrooms. Staff was very nice, always helpful. Breakfast was great. No laundry available, which was a little bit of a problem.

A great budget option near Oia!

First of all, the man at reception was super friendly and gave me a wonderful run down of what to see in Santorini which was a big help for me and my friends to plan our time here! Not everyone in Greece was the friendliest so he was a breath of fresh air. This is a great budget option if you want to stay near Oia. It's directly in front of the bus stop for easy public transport as well. Breakfast was nice as well. Bear in mind it's not directly in Oia and its not overlooking the beautiful west coast so you're not getting the views you might think of. Those views are something you would have to pay extra for elsewhere. My biggest complaint was the Wifi was inconsisten.

Worst hotel ever

Very lovely property with great views and impeccable staff! Everyone is so friendly and helpful and truly made us feel welcome. It’s also in a great location just far enough from the main strip of Oia but still within a few min walk to all the shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

We loved this hotel very clean, very good breakfast with great staff people and the location is great, Dimitry is the hotel manager and he is a very very nice guy. We will came back for sure.

Lovely service from the staff at Anemomilos. Dmitri was always greeting us with a smile and we felt very welcomed. The staff at the restaurant for breakfast can do better, however for dinner the service was great! Would recommend staying in their villas as you're really paying a premium for space and views. However, the plumbing was a little kinky, we experienced some sewage smell permeating our villa on our last night.

Genuinely friendly staff, spotless and comfortable accommodations, stunning views, and delicious food.

This property is beautifully planned with highly functional studio apartments with large baths and small kichenettes that hsv a fridge., hot plate, dishes, pans, cutkery, and dishes. The staff is kind, thoughtful, and generous with their assistance. They were remarkably helpful with luggage, directikns, recommendation, and problem solving. The pool and outdoor cabana and lounge area is charming and functional. There are also assigned private areas of the garden for use by each room. The gardens and gorgeous plantings add substantially to the pleasure of a stay. There is a good linked restaurant with very good inexpensive food next door where you breakfast at no extra charge. We hope to return again. We loved this property and staff.

Great value for this location

The hotel is 30 seconds away from really great views onto Oia and the crater of Santorini, as well as being at the start of the walking path to Fira along the crater rim cliffs. The views from the hotel itself look the other way but we had great views at breakfast onto the neighbouring islands including Ios. Our room was clean and comfortable but quite small, and the hotel pool was a bonus. Breakfast was great with a good selection of breads, cereals and hot food. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic hotel!

What a fabulous hotel. The room was fantastic and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. We booked a room with hot tub and partial sea view. This was on the ground floor overlooking the outdoor pool. It was cleaned every day (including mopping of the floor) with 4 fresh towels given daily (2 for bathing/2 for swimming). The restaurant linked to the hotel had lovely food and great service and was reasonably priced. All in all, a fantastic week in a prime location. !!

Location close to Eia town but too noisy.

Charming and Friendly place

We had a wonderful stay. Service and friendliness of the staff was great. Our suite was charming and a private Jacuzzi was a welcome treat after long days of sightseeing. We highly recommend this hotel.

The manager is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to supermarket and downtown. The facility is very nice and breakfast is superb!

Super friendly and helpful receptionist, clean room and good location

We stayed for 10 nights and Dimitris in reception was superb. Great guy...he made all the difference and was naturally chatty and great craic. We stayed in the junior suite with hot tub and sea view, and we couldnt have expected more. Rooms were comfy and clean, the views (non-Caldera) were great and the hot tub was beautiful. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

Good small boutique hotel. Staff was excellent and the breakfast was just outstanding. Our room was opposite to the Main Street hence a bit noisy so not a great experience other than that it is a good place.

Anemomilos offers budget luxury

For anyone traveling Santorini on a budget who wants to experience a little bit of the luxury of Oia, this is the perfect place to stay. Note that Anemomilos does not have views of the caldera, and is approximately a 5 to 10 minute walk from the heart of Oia. But it is quiet, clean, offers top-notch service, and had a stellar breakfast included. The pool is perfectly refreshing, and the rooms were exceptionally clean with air conditioning. Would definitely stay here again!

Not fancy but fabulous!

Very comfortable and reasonably priced. Excellent customer service from Dimitris - he is an incredible host, very knowledgeable and helpful and just a super upbeat attitude and personality. Our room was clean, comfortable, and a perfect size for two of us. Market right across the road was very convenient and the location was close to the action in Oia. Free Breakfast at the restaurant wasvery god. In the morning there was some noise like moving furniture (scraping along the floor) directly above our room...which was mildly annoying, but other than that it was all great!

Clean,comfortable and a great position. If you can affythe extra $ stay in the villas overlooking the caldera. They are fantastic. Also all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The reception staff is amazingly kind and I loved it. Reasonable price compared to the centre of Oia But it's walkable from the hotel to the centre about 10mins. There is very spacious swimming pool behind the hotel. Was overall great

Magical sunsets in Oia

Dimitris at reception was warm friendly and excellent in providing local information including bus rates, walking to Thera and the Oia sunset location. The owners attend to the restaurant and the breakfast was fresh, varied each day with many specialty dishes and great presentation. Pool was closed but it was mid March Bus stop right across the street to go to Thera then airport or any beach easily. Schedule at reception. Picturesque, clean, safe and quiet location. Walk around the town.

My wife and I staying that the Anemomilos for 3 nights in September. The property was clean and the staff was absolutely fantastic. They were always willing to provide advise and they offered us transportation from the airport and to the docks.

Nice family run hotel in Oia

The hotel was adequate and all staff very friendly and helpful. The room we had was basic and could have done with a kettle to allow for a morning coffee, there was a fridge. You could get breakfast for 10 Euro each at the hotel and it looked sufficient but we like to just grab a croissant of a morning. Our sheets were not changed during the 9 night stay but the room was made up every day. They supply pool towels but do not automatically put clean ones unless you leave tem in the room for when the room is cleaned, we had to ask for clean ones. The pool area was lovely and clean although if the hotel is busy (as it was on our first day) there are not enough sun beds. No pool bar or music so not much atmosphere by the pool. Hotel is in a great location right by the bus stop and at the top of all the main areas. Food and drink are expensive in Oia compared to the south of the Island. There is no beach in Oia, these are in the South, even though the locals will try to send you down a 200m cliff walk to Amoudi but it is all rocks and a cliff path but you can access the sea, but it is certainly not a beach.

Amazing Villa and brilliant service.

If you’re looking for fantastic accommodation, central yet quiet in Oia then look no further. Brilliant service from Dimitris the Hotel Manager. I can’t wait to go back. I stayed across the hotel in one of the Caldera Villas with shared pool. The views are amazing. I was lucky to find this place.

Extremely nice pool, able to relax away from people there. Very close to Oia town. The hotel also has a restaurant that is good and off the main strip so it is cheaper than the ones right on the caldera.

Beautiful hotel and restaurant

Great hotel very close to centre of Oia. Hotel staff are very friendly. Hotel restaurant had an amazing food and staff were providing my 15 month old son with cooked meal every day. They even were giving us fruits and veggies from their garden for him. I had the freshest grilled fish in the restaurant it was so yummy. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect location

The hotel's location in Oia is perfect. It's near the bus stop so easily to get to other locations on the island as well. Rooms are very comfortable and staff is super friendly and helpful!!! Would definitely recommend!

I usually don’t make negative comments in hotels because I try to avoid them but I really cannot let the rest stay here. So I booked this hotel thru Travelocity and I’m not sure if it their fault or the hotel management. We wanna to stay longer in Oia but ended booking this hotel for one night only but we couldn’t believe the price and where we were about to stay. We saw the picture and it look stunning next to the Clift and amazing view looking oia etc. We were so excited after amazing 2 days in thira looking to the caldera view. As soon the bus dropped us if I saw something wrong. Hotel was opposite of where we thought we were going to stay, it was not looking to caldera but to the other side. I really was hoping that it was just the front desk that it was there and them they will walk us to the other sid but NO. Front desk again he was very very nice (I forgot his name) he was very attentive explaining but I was just not having it. It was our anniversary day and it was supposed to be perfect with the hole oía view but at the end we ended in a terrible hotel with view to a pool that we didn’t want and I even told them to have something ready for us like a note, flowers or champagne to celebrate our anniversary instead we just got 4 towels in the bed and 2 of them with a yellow stain. Bathroom was small and look super old, I didn’t like it at all. The next morning we did y have electricity we got up because of the heat. I don’t recommend this hotel look something else.

My friends and I made a great choice when we booked rooms at Anemomilos Hotel in Santorini. Its location is convenient, the rooms excellent, the restaurant wonderful, the views exceptional . . . and the manager Demitris fantastic.

Nice, helpful staff, near the pedestrian walk

Everything was nice. The reception guy was very helpful. It said that the room is the beach view but actually it was the another side of the frontbeach. Overall quite reasonable price to stay at Oia at this rate and would love to be back here again.

Everything was good. Especially the jacuzzi! The receptionist is very friendly and helpful, if there’s any doubts to how to commute around or need help arranging day trips etc, the receptionist is very helpful.

lovely place to relax

This is a lovely, family owned/ run hotel which is in great shape. The owners bent over backwards to help us and the room was clean and modern.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful and convenient location, and very friendly staff...

Very nice place and great location. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Santorini.. The only complaint I have would be the hotels breakfast hours 8-10:30am. Most places begin breakfast at 7am to accommodate travellers who wish to get an early start to their day. As well the first ferries leave at 8:30. You must be at the docks by 8 the latest therefore breakfast at the hotel is out of the question. We requested a takeaway breakfast which the hotel staff was very happy to provide but the food items were expired.

Serene Santorini

The staff was excellent and courteous. It was a great help that they spoke English. They were very helpful with the directions of the other beaches. The food was very good and the pool area was clean.

Great place to stay!

Awesome hotel, great value, great location just a short walk to the Main Street of Oia.

Great Restaurant

Their restaurant had some of the best food we had in Greece, and the prices were very reasonable for Oia. Room was large and clean. Pool was often not too busy (travelled in August). Easy welk (albeit along a road with heavy traffic) into the heart of Oia, easy to catch the bus to Fira. If I weren't looking for a caldera view, I'd stay here again.

Good hotel for the location and money

We chose this hotel based on the fact we wanted to be in Oia and due to cost. What you see is what you get, clean rooms, nice pool and great amenities nearby. Only thing disappointing was how much the hotel charged for using their own taxi driver which we thought would have been cheaper than flagging one down. Three taxi trips for 155 euros was a real shock and not what we were expecting!

Nice Friendly Hotel

Although our room was away from the main complex it was still very nice. Room serviced daily. Very friendly staff.

Clean hotel & walking distance to beach and shops

Hotel was great and local to beach and shops. Room was clean and easy to access. Internet did not reach inside our room which was frustrating.

Excellent restaurant, not a great hotel

The restaurant at Anemomilos was fantastic both in terms of food and service. The hotel itself though needs some improvement. The pool are is nice but the breakfast was very basic with not enough variety or good quality ingredients. We had a room down the road from the main hotel and the pool which meant we have to walk next to traffic whenever we wanted to go to the pool or get food. Not ideal. The windows in the rooms are not double glazing which means any noise outside is heard, there's no sound proofing and we had really noisy neighbours so not ideal. Expected more for the price.

Air conditioner did not work

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room air conditioner did not work and it was very hot! We did not sleep much because it was so hot. The room was outdated and the closets had a musty smell in them.

Strongly recommend on the Villa

The villa is awesome, the little outdoor jacuzzi and the seaview. It is also a few minutes walk to Oia's shopping strip. Bus stop head to Fira is just close by. Last by not least, the great service from the owner and staffs. We had a fabulous honeymoon with Anemomilos!

Great location in Oia

Wonderful, helpful staff, great hotel close to town, walk to Ornos beach, definitely stay there again. Fabulous!

Good value in Oia

This little Hotel is a very good value and in a good location in expensive Oia. I asked to be changed from the small, dark room initially assigned, and was moved to a lovely (but still small) room with a delightful balcony. Breakfast was hum-drum, and at extra expense. Nothing flashy here, but a solid value. Excellent lunch spot Mes Amis is just steps away.

The best. No regrets

Loved hotel and the staff. They are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on top of the mountain which is great to walk and take pictures. Exactly what I wanted to do. Close to markets and restaurant (far from the airport and boatport). Loved it. Great food. The bathroom is very small. Pool is small and very cold. It's not close to the beach at all. Overall it was amazing experience. I'd definitely be back.

Close to everything

The hotel staff was very friendly, safe location, great breakfast, close to the market place and scenic views. There is a convenient store, ATV rental and ATM right across from the hotel. Its walking distance from the market area and has the sea view.

Nice hotel..... but the staff were unpredictable

So we came here for our honeymoon and booked the top suite they had. The room was very nice and amamzing view. The hot tub is not a hot tub but a tub with jets. Therefore when its cold the water will be cold and when its hot the water will be hot. On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful but on our last day they had no interest in giving us a serivce. The strangest part was we were sat on the resturant tables trying to kill time before our flight and there were two other couples doing the same. The staff came around to the other two couples and offered them drinks and had a chat and ignored us and did not approach us. Im not sure if this is becuase we were indian and the other couples were white. We then went inside to the resturant part to have some food and they had no interest in giving us a service, we had to kept calling them over to take our order. In addition they never had any baklava even thou they have it on the menu. Also the whole week we were there, they did not do anything to make our honeymoon speical... nothing. In addition the breakfast is very basic and so i would recommend you buy food from the local shop for breakfast.

People who worked here were great. I can't really say I had a very comfortable stay though. The hotel needs a renovation. Beds and showers can do with an upgrade.

Friendly service, good location

Recently stayed at Themis hotel and had a great time! Owner is very helpful and staff are all friendly. Also located in a very good spot but quite affordable, would recommend

Great location for the price!

Our stay was great! We only stayed two nights. The shuttle to and from the airport was very convenient. The room we got was a little small, but it was just me and my friend and we did not need that much space. The restaurant was just okay, I would recommend venturing out to the many restaurants of the local Oia village. There was an amazing restaurant at the end of the main strip near the castle, I cannot remember the name but it was an amazing view for the sunset!

enjoyable stay in Oia, Santorini - value for money

great stay at this hotel.. arrived early morning after night flights and headed to hotel despite check-in time being 2pm (hoping a room may have been avail) - rooms were occupied but friendly staff offered to hold my baggage while I explored Oia town and told me to check back after noon.. room was basic European style but clean.... the pool area was being prepared for the winter season starting 1NOV and sun loungers were removed but still saw a few people using it to sun.... the restaurant was good and reasonably priced and we enjoyed two evening meals there.... breakfast was included in our rate and was simple but we loved it.. breads, cereal, greek yogurt, honey, eggs, ham & cheese etc with plenty of coffee... the local city bus ran from outside the hotel to Fira and connections beyond every 20mins which was great.. supermarket opposite hotel which we used... Oia town is walkable and beautiful just minutes away.. the staff are extremely helpful and friendly at this hotel and were able to provide tourist information for us... if you are looking for value for money and have fair and realistic expectations of this price point in Oia then this will be a good hotel for you.. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, found the other guests pleasant - the staff made us feel welcome and would definitely stay again.

Disapointing stay

We were so excited to book this hotel in Santorini for our honeymoon, but were very disappointed with our stay. We booked an apartment room that was supposed to come with an ocean view balcony. Unfortunately our balcony could be accessed by other guests and other guests were using it most of the time we were there. Finally we spoke to management who agreed to send someone over to talk to them, but it was over an hour before someone showed up. We ended up having a really uncomfortable confrontation with our neighbors who told us the management also told them they could use our balcony (even though they had a private one off their room!). This really ruined this part of our honeymoon trip. In addition we had the following problems: -bathroom smelled like raw sewage -items at breakfast were not replaced promptly and was not worth the cost. Be aware if you book ahead online and are leaving early your last day that you will not receive breakfast and will still be charged. -bedspread was dirty (brown on the seams and around the edges -one of our pillows had a blood stain on it from a previous guest -air conditioner was very loud. We did not use it since weather was mild during our stay, but never would have been able to sleep with it on. You could get more for your money elsewhere. I would not recommend staying here!
