This is a pretty magical, old world place. Our villa was very spacious, and a wonderful departure from the usual hotel scene. The food on the property was excellent, and the staff hooked us up with one of the best private tours we had on our entire trip to Vietnam. Our hosts put a lot of effort into making sure we comfortable and well taken care of.
Beautiful stay, fabulous staff
Beautiful gem of a hotel. Staff go above and beyond, rooms are spacious and very comfortable, food is delicious. You have the best of both worlds with the nature getaway feeling in the resort and then just being minutes away from the city centre. Wish I had more time to stay here!
This hotel is just a couple of km from the centre of Da Lat in a unique hillside location. The hotel rooms are are in restored French villas which are beautiful and surrounded by gardens. Highly recommended.
Lots of Character
Beautiful resort style hotel on the outskirts of Dalat. Set over multiple French colonial style buildings, the hotel has a lot of character. Beautiful rooms, pool, decent restaurant. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Dalat.
.
We had a very relaxing stay at this property. The location suited us perfectly as it was quiet but within walking distance to the main center. Staff were all very welcoming and happy to assist. Liked set up of the private rooms within the villas and communal areas and tables. Great if you want to travel as a group but worked well for us travelling as a couple. Plenty choice for breakfast. Nice touch with the afternoon tea. Would recommend.
Awesome service, will definitely stay again!
The property is located not too far from the city centre and you can enjoy the peaceful nature. The breakfast is good with different options every day. I personally enjoy the yoga classes in the morning. Overall, I have a pleasant stay at the resort.
Lovely setting and very comfortable rooms, and easy to get down into the center of Dalat. Extremely helpful staff and excellent meal at the restaurant. Many thanks to Mr. Thanh for a fascinating tour of the local area.
Nice grounds, a bit overpriced for mediocre service. Stay away from dining here except the free breakfast food is not good, service is ok but staff seems like they hate there jobs, and its way overpriced.
Outstanding property surrounded by nature. Very nice restaurant and fantastic spa; but the staff is the best…the will help you with anything you need to make your stay the best!!! Looking forward to come back.
We enjoyed our stay here. The staffs were friendly and helpful.
Masterpiece living
It was a WOW feeling upon arrival. Meet and great was great . My room is fine and feels like I am transported a little before time , in a luxury way.
Nature in the middle of the city.
The hotel grounds are amazing; it has the feeling of being in nature while staying easily accessible to the town. The restaurant is fantastic.
Week end in green Dalat
Hotel surrounded by beautiful garden. The buildings are colonial villas that have kept original features but could be updated inside. The check in was quite slow process. The staff is pleasant. Good situation not too far from town center.
Pine forest oasis in the center of Dalat; exquisite colonial renovated resort with best croissants outside of Paris
Peaceful. Roomy! Great breakfast spread. Beautiful restaurants. Dinner great but a bit too formal.
Beautiful but Needs improvement in food
The swimming pool and mini golf Areas were not as clean and cared as they should be in a hotel of this category and price range. The food selection could be better, and of a better quality, specially dinner buffet. Breakfast is fine but not awesome. The juice is not natural and it should be. The wine in room is a terrible Dalat wine which does not match the standard. Complementary Water in bottles Is not very good, it has a bad flavour.
Gem of Dalat
What a wonderful hotel!! From the amazing front desk team to the restaurant we were treated like family and with such kindness. Our room was spectacular and so comfortable! Food in the restaurant was delicious and breakfast had enough to satisfy everyone. Beautiful grounds and nice pool, but gym could use some updating. We were sad to leave as it’s truly a fabulous place. It was the most effective check-out...they had housekeeping and a buggy waiting for us and once we got to reception our bill was already printed for approval and our taxi was waiting. They waved us off as we drove away. Book this hotel...you won’t regret it!
Nice resort in quiet location
The property is cute and rustic. The staff were friendly. We used the spa facilities which were fine. The fitness center was tiny and had mosquitoes (since it was open). The breakfast wasn’t great. Upon calling for help with our luggage to check out, a woman came rushing to the room and started looking through the entire room. We assumed she was checking to see if we had used the mini bar but she didn’t say anything and took the tip we had left for the cleaning lady. When we were at the front desk to check out they asked us if we had used the mini bar so clearly the lady was not in the room to check on it - seems like she came in to take the tip money and anything else that may have been left - Very odd.
Ithis place is very charming and feels like an escape from the city. I love the food at the restaurant and the architecture. There is no reason not to stay here, I would definitely come back!
Getaway from the City
Great location away from city center. Villas are a little rustic and expect mosquitos. Overall excellent choice.
Good location away from the noise of Dalat. The gardens and pathways needed to be kept better and the pool area needed weeding. The pool needed to be cleaned of leaves. Good breakfast. No complementary bottles of water which was disappointing. There was also building work near the pool which was noisy and no kids club as this was being renovated.
Calm and peaceful. Room was classic european style. Fireplace was good. Breakfast buffet was relatively simple but every dish was fresh. If you need peaceful rest, this is the place. Also not far from city center so you can enjoy both side of Da Lat.
Room clean, quick service, friendly staff but the rooms are a little bit scary. Moreover, I did not like the smell of cosmetics in the bathroom.
Stunning. Highly recommend
Originallly booked a Petit Room and was disappointed because it was VERY small and overlooked. Having decided to upgrade the helpful receptionist showed us the various options, room by room. We opted for the suite which was stunning! As a consequence, we had a wonderful stay here. The grounds and buildings are absolutely beautiful and it was great to be slightly outside of the bustling city, with wonderful views of downtown (taxis are cheap and always available on site). Lovely restaurant too. Special thanks to Tan, our guide for the Rural Dalat private tour, which we organised through the hotel. He is a member of the Ana Mandara staff and was outstanding. One of the best guides we have ever had, really knowledgeable and very friendly but also very professional. He gave us plenty of space to take photographs and never rushed us. The driver was also very professional and very safe. Thank you all.
Perfect stay
We had the most wonderful stay, we are in Vietnam visiting our son and his girlfriend, so we visited Da Lat, the hotel was so peaceful and relaxing, clean and the service was the best, the food was delicious, will defitnely go back.... thank you
The food can be improved. Please perfect the original recipes before inventing your own versions e.g. Laksa was nothing close to laksa Risotto was clumsy and undercooked Pizza crust felt like cookie Pasta tasted can Appetizers and soups were good.
Beautiful and spacious rooms. Amazing food at the Restaurant, can’t ask for more.
Beautiful place
Nice setting. Friendly staff. The location is a bit far to walk to city center.
They placed us in the furthest village to the back. It is so far that walking from our room to the front desk is a 15 minutes trip. Whenever taxi drop us off at front desk, we have to request a golf cart to drive us to our room because they wouldn't allow outside car to drive all the way to our room. The room is old, windows were making noises so much, sound like the room was possessed. It was so scary at night. And we were not the only ones. I spoke to other guests and they felt the same thing. On another note, my companion slipped and fell at the front desk steps due to slippery. But no one from staff or upper management ever call in or ask to follow up. I would never come back here again.
Unbelievably affordable for the luxury, very romantic!
Rubbish
Overpriced by a long way. No ac, no fan. Boiling hot room in the day, open the window and bugs get in, no net. No seating outside, no view except if building rubble and garden waste. Sweet staff but lousy management. One to avoid.
Enjoyable Stay
This property is great mostly because of their service team who were very engaging and pleasant. The quality of breakfast choices can be improved. Dinner and beverage options were great. The private tour facilitated by Mr. Thanh was outstanding. He was very flexible with our pace, requests & what we wanted to see. Mr. Dung, our driver was also very accommodating.
Excellent service , good location , close to the market and shops . Should be one of the better place around.
Perfect villa to enjoy
all are excellent. the room is large and clean, top quality furnitures. the bathroom is just so good. the villas are built on a mountain with a nice natural view. breakfast is western style with lots of choice.
My time at the Ana Mandara
The staff bends over backwards to help me out. I have knee problems and they moved me to a villa near spa, pool and restaurant and on first floor no stairs. Food was excellent. What a history this place had. I had time there to think about my life.
Regret our travels allowed us a only a night stay
What a truley magical place!! Upon our arrival we were greeted as special guest to this quiet little Shangri-La.. A series of bungalows spread along a mountain The location can be perceived as both great or not ideal. This is because it is somewhat remote. Therefore it is both peaceful and isolated. We found it to be the former. We established a “relationship “ with a cab driver when we were dropped off by the airport shuttle bus. He then made himself available more or less at our beckon call. (Including a 7am trip back to the airport) I add this here as any concerns a reader may have about the location is really a misperception. This was not a concern. We were fortunate to have a villa next to the restaurant/bar. Was great to walk downstairs and right in . Food was great. Wonderful variety of light eats (prior to heading into town) and a great breakfast buffet. The room was huge and luxurious. Comfortable bed. Beautiful bath.. The wrap around balcony and the serendipitous full moon (!!!) completed the wonderful one night stay. The service at Ana Mandara Villas was beyond compare. A true pleasure to recommend this . As the title indicates we truly wish we could stay longer and we are definitely planning on returning and staying here.
Fantastic hotel
Fantastic. The food could be better ... for what is costs
A nice place outside town
The location is outside town, so its about a 20 minute walk into the downtown. Also the location is on the side of a hill so those with mobility issues might want to think about staying here. Restaurant a la carte was quite good, the buffet brekkie more than adequate.
Lovely french villas with romantic four poster bed and retrochic fittings..
Very nice hotel. Breakfast is good. I will come back again and i recommand to my friends. Good!!!!!! Excelent!!!!! In my life, first hotel.
Staff were super friendly and helpful, the villas are a great piece of history and a great place to relax,
Nice flora and fauna
Serene environment, good service! We enjoyed our stay. Except for the little lizard and spider in our rooms and bath towel a little dirty.
Great Hotel
Great place for a relaxing stay, nice rooms, good service, high quality food in restaurant. Would stay there again, even though a bit far from the city centre, but easily accessible since taxis available in abundance
Overall great stay
It's a great place for family holidays with green , peace full , clean surroundings. Breakfast has good menu to choose from. I had also opted for site seeing tours and here hotel can improve on quality of guides.
Surprise in the hills
Beautiful resort in a quiet location in Dalat but still close enough to walk to town. Big rooms and bathroom. Absoluetly adored breakfast and food from restaurant was outstanding. 5 star perfection. The staff even presented my husband with a birthday cake and candles. Staff are always friendly and will always remember your name. Would recommend this hotel for those wanting a little more luxury than your usual hotel. Will stay again if ever in Dalat.
Don't Miss the Annamandara. Gem of DaLat.
Fantastic little historic gem. Villas around a central lodge/restaurant. Built in the 20s by the French for a mountain get away for their civil servants suffering from the heat of Saigon. If your going to DaLat don't miss this place. Great food, the people were fantastic, and our villa was wonderful.
Nice hotel & check in by a young gentlemen. Worst breakfast experience since a long time and a la carte menu very boring, no love in it at all......
French villa neighborhood converted into a hotel
Staying here was a very unique experience because this hotel is an old neighborhood for the wealthy in Da Lat - full of beautiful French villas. The grounds are incredibly well-kept, and the neighborhood sits high on a hill. The facilities are good. We came in January, which meant we had cooler weather - and it was exactly what we sought. The hotel is a 5-10 minute taxi-ride or a hotel-shuttle (twice a day, each way) to the city center - which means the nights are usually more quiet here but a little inconvenient to get to the city. There was a large wedding party at the hotel while we were staying there, which meant that some guests came back to their rooms late and a little more noisy than we would prefer. The food is decent, and the breakfast buffet has a nice spread and selection. The front desk is very helpful in arranging transportation and excursions. It was the first time that we stayed in a historical neighborhood that had been converted into a hotel, and while the old fixtures, light switches, fan dials, antique furniture, and bathroom fixtures certainly had their charms, we felt that the hotel had a bit of an eerie feeling - perhaps all older homes may affect people differently. We're not generally superstitious people, so that was a new feeling for us.
A must have expeience in Dalat!
Relax and nice environment hotel
Services were excellent. Room is bit dark for me at night time. Staff were nice and very helpful.
We'll be back
Only stayed one night but amazing grounds, charming rooms and wonderful staff and great breakfast selection! We'll be back!
Excellent staff and food is divine!
I booked a superior villa for my parents over the weekend to celebrate my father's birthday while I was away. The communication was great, quick response from the reservation team, and they have kindly arranged for a cake as a surprise present for my father. My mom also used the spa facilities and had a treatment, she loved it. The staffs were very attentive and helpful. The villa is lovely, peaceful and brings you back in time with the old French decor. Room was not as big as expected so we know to book a larger villa next time. The highlight of their stay was the quality of the food. It was extremely good that they only bothered to visit the town and ate out once. The food was excellent, prepared at a very high standard, really enhances the tastebud with a sheer of cold breeze. Western food is highly recommended here, strongly french influenced. Would highly recommend and will return in the future.
Super Nice!
Everything clean, amazing service and the staff really helpful.
Relaxing and beautiful surroundings
The hotel staff were very helpful and polite. We stayed in La Petit room and it's exactly that; small but very cosy! The room was clean and the surrounding was very peaceful and relaxing. Loved it and will definitely recommend to anyone who is planning to visit Da Lat!
Amazing place
Very relaxing and a welcome relief from the hotter temperatures on the coast
Relaxing countryside getaway
Mostly great staff who strive to give a 5 star experience. Very relaxing place and overall I think that everything presents pretty good value. Beautiful cosy rooms, fantastic grounds, perfect temperature pool and well spread out for peace and tranquility. Breakfast buffet was lovely (ask for a Cappuccino or Latte if you would rather than the Vietnamese coffee) along with a great restaurant menu and a lovely afternoon tea. Few small negatives that detracted from the experience slightly: The lady cooking the eggs didn't really show much care and just unloaded a pan full of oil onto my plate with the eggs and just rested plates on top of the omelette ingredients. Coffee in the room was horrible; a proper Vietnamese coffee maker and perhaps some Italian style coffee would have made it incredible. The Dalat Wine in the room was undrinkable (maybe too old or just that the wine is terrible. I get trying to use local stuff but this is just not up to scratch to be served in a place like this). One of the pool lights was out of its socket and just floating with wires exposed which made us feel the pool was unsafe (when pointed out to a staff member they just smiled and nodded!). Overall the pros and relaxation outweighed the cons and I would recommend for a romantic and relaxing countryside retreat.
For honeymoon couples
It's good for couple on honeymoon not for family. Breakfast was very good.
Amazing Hotel
Amazing hotel with spacious rooms and great amenities. There was no A/C, which we were not accustomed to travelling in Vietnam, but it was really not required given the cool temperatures of Da Lat.
Wonderful retreat in the woods
Our stay was great. Service, facilities, spa, food--all wonderful. One of the best facials and massages that I've ever had at a spa anywhere. I got the Vietnamese herbal massage and it was amazing. I have mild arthritis and felt great afterwards. My friend got the regular Vietnamese massage and she loved it. The massage therapists are well trained and really know what they're doing. I don't know what prioducts they used for the facial but they felt very high quality. The facialist gave me the best facial massage I've ever had. The rooms, pool & hotel grounds are spacious & serene. Though the hotel is just on the edge of the city center, it's so wonderful there that you won't want to leave. My only complaint is lack of airport transfer.
Bad Managment. Scam. Be aware, Not honest.
My last stay here was a completely disaster. I booked the hotel via hotel.com as I always did. I book for 3 people. I received confirmation that everything is good to go. When we arrived. The hotel said that they want to charge $200 more because they only allow 2 people in the room. I told them that I made the reservation with 3 people and fully paid for the price they have asked online but the hotel management said they don't care. After calling hotel.com, hotel.com tried to contact the property but at first the hotel won't pick up the phone, then they said they don't have anyone can make the decision. At the end after we are tired dealing with the unreasonable management, it was late so we went ahead a paid for the additional fee. Hotel.com told me that they are very sorry and they will have deal with this issue in the corporate level so they offered me coupon for future stay. (A++ for hotel.com) In addition, when we made the reservation, the hotel offered free massage but when we arrived, they won't honor it either. I have been staying with this hotel many times before. I always recommended for family and friend to stay here because I loved it here. However, not sure what is going on with the current management. They're shady. It is ashamed for such a beautiful place. I won't do business nor recommend anyone here anymore. I will send the complaint to their corporate headquarter.
Not what we expected
We booked a suite with balcony and views and were given a room at the bottom with only outside grass area next to houses. Reception said it's because Expedia (Hotels.com) didn't inform them but on my email it was said. To their credit they tried hard to make up for it and gave us a complimentary dinner on request. Didn't realise room is only part of a small villa that you share with others in their own rooms. All views are over other houses not mountains. Have to get taxi everywhere.
Stunning hotel, the only place I'd stay in dalat
Such a beautiful hotel on top of the hill perfect with dalat climate, sunny and cool, deep blue sky. A big plus is swimming pool is heated so our kids can swim even during Christmas time, there is a children playroom, not big, but entertaining enough. And a lovely herbal/ veggy garden with quite a few fruit trees. Food is average for vietnam's hotel, and bit pricey for Vietnam market, but still nice to have a meal there. They have a cozy lovely full of personality wine cellar, wine tasting is a must to try, though the bar man didn't really know anything about wines unfortunately. My only negative point is the service seems slow and ineffective, at night there is only 1 person doing both receptionist and driving guests to rooms, hence when we called no one there to answer; taxi seems to get in and out directly to villas without any security screening; for a 4-5 stars hotel they shouldn't let us worry about these issues. Despite all these, I will still be back there sooner or later.
Lovely and charming hotel in a beautiful setting. Rooms were nicely decorated and service was attentive and friendly.
Not that good, but the service were fabulous
It's not that good. The neibourhood is quiet but the road to the resort is a little bit too narrow. We stayed at the Villa 22. The exterior is nice, but the interior is really need to be innovated. The floor is a little shabby. I think it the interior should be furnished more comfortable. The restaurant served too slowly. However, the staffs here were very helpful and attentive.
A charming getaway
We enjoyed our stay at the Ana Mandara. It was a pretty, tranquil spot set in the hills a short taxi ride away from Dalat. The staff was very helpful and gave us good recommendations for day tours and transportation to our next destination. The pool and restaurant area were lovely and the views from the upstairs rooms in the villa were good, but the lower rooms were a bit musty. Overall, a very pleasant place.
The relaxing get away we wanted
We loved this place. It was wonderful to relax by the gorgeous pool with the pool table and bar next to it. We also ended up eating in their restaurant most meals as it really is away from town with nothing walkable. But the food was fantastic as was the service. Lovely touch with the chef coming out on our last night too. We splashed out compared to other places we stayed on our travels so the accommodation and meals was a treat for us. We don't regret it though so if you don't mind paying the extra for star treatment, go for it!
Magic!
An amazing town, such culture and history! The villa was in a beautiful setting, peaceful and calm. Food and service excellent.
Excellent
Terrific hotel. Spacious indoor and outdoor areas. Good service. Good location.
Experience with Ana Mandara Villas Dalat
The room is too humid, especially the ground floor. Feels like the bed sheet are wet, is sort of uncomfortable in a way. Also, it would be great if the room lighting could be more bright. Besides that, everything else are great!!
Short break away
We really enjoyed staying here. The room is very nice. We stayed in Le Petit Chambre. It was very comfy. Although we only had shower and no bath tub and there was no fridge. This did not really matter to us. Overall a pleasant stay and would stay again.
Hotel and staff were nice however it appears that the grounds are not very well maintained with long grass and weeds making it feel neglected. If properly maintained this resort would be an extremely cute and classical resort
Great staff
Best staff I ever encountered. Hotel is far from town, not as fancy and new like others but the staff made the stay worth it. Will be back again.
Peaceful and private hotel
Beautiful French Villas accompanied by 5 star service
Wonderful retreat
Great three day break. Loved the villa suite...staff were attentive and efficient. Good food and lovely setting amid the pinetrees. Rather too many flies in the area immediately adjoining breakfast but that is a fairly minor criticism of an otherwise superb hotel. One of the highlights was taking the vintage 1936 open top car to a nearby lake for a picnic. lunch.
Lovely Villas and great restaurant. well worth it.
Everything was excellent during our 2 night stay, the private tour we organised through them, the restaurant food, the pool, the kindest staff, the breakfast buffet, the fireplace in our room, the beautiful bed and bath, and we even got a cake given to us for our anniversary. Awesome. Beautiful place. We would stay there again.
Exceeded my expectations in every way!
Thoroughly enjoyed this little piece of the past with its first class service but with all the modern amenities.
Very Different - Very Good
Stayed 2 nights. This hotel is very different in that accommodation is set in a number of old French colonial villas set in a large private area overlooking Dalat. Our standard double room was small, but comfortable. The only real complaint was the bathroom which was very quirky (retention of old style at expense of modern functionality). The shower arrangement over an old bath was cumbersome and the water was always cold!! Otherwise, the breakfast was simply superb as was the pool and its surrounds. Dinner in the very atmospheric restaurant was average at best. Staff very helpful in arranging excursions etc. The highland scenery is around Dalat is wonderful - we opted for an easy rider countryside tour ($40 per head) which was fantastic. Dalat city itself is nothing to write home about and decent restaurants seemed hard to find.
Great Place to Stay
A lovely place to stay. The villas are very quaint. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
A Disappointed Experience
We were looking forward to our stay at this hotel but found it to be a disappointed experience. We will not return to this hotel again. Although we booked a villa, our room was quite small, congested and was not nicely decorated as compared to our friends' room who traveled with us on this trip. The room was nothing like what showed on the photos. When asked, the staff said that we had to request in advance which villa we would like to stay in. How would a guest know to do this in advance if this is their first stay at the hotel? The explanation didn't make sense to me. We had informed the hotel in advance that we were celebrating our anniversary but the hotel didn't even acknowledge this with a congratulations upon our arrival. Hotel staff was more focused on selling affiliated tours than helping guests finding the right experience. I was interested in elephant rides and the hotel rep immediately pointed us to a full-day tour that does not include the elephant ride. He said that if we wanted to do the elephant ride, it would be an add-on but he didn't have much information about it. We ended up asking people on the street about elephant rides and they directed us to the location to pick up the boat ride to the elephant island which was quite simple. Check-in was extremely slow and not organized. We were not provided with any reference guide as to where some of the facilities such as restaurant, gym and pool are.
Fanstastic
Good service, Beautiful villa. Everything is fantastic!
Beautiful location in natural park. Old French villas.
Value: Affordable; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Immaculate;
Wonderful Escape
I arrived here after 4 nights in HCMC , and loved the cooler temperatures and tranquility. The villas are spread over a large area of hilly parkland. If you want to go into Da Lat , a short taxi ride (~$2) will get you there. The service is impeccable , and the breakfast is wonderful. WiFi works very well. There was no downside. A perfect place if you are trying to simply unwind.
Wonderful room and grounds with a lot of character
The room and grounds themselves were great. The staff was super friendly and helpful the entire time. Being old french villas there is a lot of character found throughout the grounds. The location is out of town just a bit so a taxi is needed to go anywhere and the neighborhood leading to the grounds is a little seedy. You do not notice this however while on the grounds.
Really nice hotel
On overall the hotel was amazing, but one of the tabs on the room wasn't working.
French colonial paradise
Amazing place to stay, huge villas with an old French colonial feel. Exceptional restaurant and the rooms are all unique. Super comfy beds!!
Very nice but no air condition
Is a very nice hotel and very relaxing hotel but sometime feel like is a bite too far form everything
Words cannot describe..
These old French colonial villas over lookig Dalat seem to be kept exactly as they were when they were used first, free standing tubs, antique furniture, the greastest bed I have ever seen, your own butler, carefully kept gardens and overall the best(along with Ho Tram) resort we have ever visited. All necesary mod cons are catered for also and cannot thank the beautiful and friendly staff enough - Please go this is an experience in itself.
The style we love...French colonial with comfort
We just love our stay we had 2separated rooms for us and our children but in the same villa. This is the best value for money we enjoyed in a 4 stars hotel. We love the concept and all details linked to it. Breakfasts were amazing. We rented 2 scooters and then Da lat was just available to us any time.
Quiet cozy hotel just a short ride from town
The hotel is a quiet hideaway up the hill but just a short 10 mins ride from Dalat town center. Most staff doesn't speak English well though except for one very helpful lady whom the reception always call upon to assist guests that cannot speak vietnamese. Our villa room is a little small but clean, tastefullt decorated, and cozy; the comprehensive pillow menu is very impressive.
It is remarkable place and we'd love to recommend to our friends to stay in this hotel. The villa is so beautiful, the Christmas decorations make the room with holiday atmosphere. The restaurant is delicious, the SPA is professional, the only thing to be improved is only one trash bin in the room. The location is not in downtown but has a mountain view. It is very convenient to take a taxi when you call the reception desk, and it only needs 34,000VND(1,5USD) to arrive downtown by taxi. Wonderful experience here.
Great staff, mostly good otherwise
The staff were great with our 2 y.o., letting him clamber all over their vintage car and chauffeuring us in golf carts at his whim. Location was scenic but too far from town to walk (taxi was cheap and always available). Service was prompt and friendly. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Just a few little things let us down a bit. Having the bathroom IN our bedroom was quaint but awkward. Our toilet paper ran out...twice (and we were not heavy users). Overall we were happy with our stay.
lovely restored french villas in landscaped garden
Dalat was a welcome relief from heat in Vung Tau and this hotel was a beautiful place to stay with very attentive staff. A personal butler is appointed and ours was very helpful indeed. Breakfast was included in the price and was fabulous . Pool looked inviting and clean but weather too cool to go in. Too far to walk into town but taxis available immediately for 30 to 40,000 dong so not a problem
relaxing mountain stay!!!!
The Ana Mandara Villas in Dalat is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break from the big, noisy cities like Saigon. The mountain air is clean, cool and fresh and the villas our just out of town (5 minute taxi ride and $2), the gardens are beautiful, the food at the restaurant is good, they have a nice outdoor pool and the spa service are excellent as well.....the staff are very helpful, friendly and efficient. I stayed in a villa suit, it was spacious, clean and comfortable.....enough for a couple or even 2 couples......overall, a totally enjoyable experience.
Very nice. Only problem is that the internet is a bit slow.
Depends on your luck
We booked the suite which was supposed to be the best. To my shock, on my check in, I was allocated to a villa which looks super run down with paint peeling at the entrance and the balcony. The room also looked old. This was Villa 22. Obviously, I did not like it and asked to see other rooms. I was brought to the next Villa 18, I think which was dark and smelled musty. Fortunately, I was offered villa 3 which was much newer, brighter and had no funny smell. The staff at the restaurant and spa were very good. We were constantly asked if we wanted a taxi arrangement to the airport but the price quoted was twice the price you would get if you made your own arrangement. The reception staff made us feel very stressed when they continously pushed for this.,When we said that we had arranged the ride ourselves, that night, we were informed our fireplace was not in working order and hence did not bother to start the fire for us. Its a lie that is very stupid because the first two nights were fine and the fireplace was set up with wood and no chimneys. How can it be not working and also how would they know it is not working when they had started it the previous night and had not even tried to do it that night. Because of the lack in sincerity of the staff, I would not stay here anymore.
Staffs are friendly and helpful. The villas well maintained and really clean. A unique one time experience. Love it
