All good.. Smiling and helpful stuff Good location Very good restaurant There could be more closet in the room.
The hotel rooms are small but clean. The hotel itself is nice, but situated at a major intersection and on a tram line. Therefore, it is VERY noisy and hard to tune out the street sounds. There are better options down closer to Moco where you can stay at a boutique hotel for far less.
Good
Great location
IT WAS GREAT
Great location
Excellent location. Everything is within a 15 min walk or transit ride. Great service, quiet and comfortable rooms. My only qualm is the carpet smell in the hallways.
Excellent location, close to museums…
Definitely below my expectations. I have been staying in this hotel multiple times. This time service was the worst ever. Room was not cleaned by staff and it took me multiple calls to housekeeping to get water and fresh towels. Service at a bar area was terrible Temperature in the room was not controllable There was no travel accessories such as toothbrush. Etc. overall experience- negative
My rating is extreme for a few reasons: Pros: Hotel is in a great location, everything is walking distance and transportation is readily available. Breakfast is available at an additional charge, the food was mediocre but the service there and the coffee made it worth it. I would suggest you do not include breakfast and visit the hundreds of restaurants nearby. Cons: check in was easy but employee at the front desk was not very pleasant didn’t offered any suggestions and when asked about restaurants he was rude and said “go visit the concierge for that”
We loved our stay and they were very good with children!
Nice hotel with great restaurants & perfect location near restaurants, shops & a casino
Very nice hotel. Very walkable area
Dog and construction next room
Nice staff Excellent breakfast Too many bikes in Amsterdam Felt like a squirrel
Was a bit disappointing, hairball on the floor, ceiling had visible dust and grime, washroom was dated and had absolutely no ventilation. Location was great and the shower pressure was perfect.
Great location! Right by the park!
I am always impressed by the professionalism, kindness and attentiveness of the staff at this hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the tram to Central Station and the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gough museums. Lovely restaurants with outdoor, people-watching sitting areas are within the vicinity of the hotel.
Ok
One day our room was not fully cleaned so we had to ask them for clean towels and clean cups. Overall the hotel was in an excellent location and staff were helpful
I was expecting more.
Very nice property. Water at shower was not draining fast and was puddling and one employee was very very rude.. other than that it was perfect
The room appears to have been recently renovated and the hotel has a convenient location. We would gladly stay at the Amsterdam Marriott again.
It was great!
They need more staff.. there are more then half an hour que at the concierge and reception. No one picks up at the call for service in night.
Good location
Loved Amsterdam, but not staying at the Marriott
Upon check in at 3pm only 1 of my 2 rooms was ready. 2nd room wasn't ready until after 8pm. The room was not clean, water filled in the tub, hair in the sink and the shower lamp leaked water.
Outstanding! Fabulous location, room & restaurant! Loved the Concierge!
Nice hotel in city center of Amsterdam
Nice hotel but very overpriced for what you get :) there is definitely other luxury options that would cost you just as much and give you better value. The rooms are renovated, clean, the bed could be more comfortable, reception not helpful and amenities at the hotel were not great but good enough. Also woke up with what looks like a bite from something.
O
The facility was ok but very expensive for what you got and the building is older in need of an upgrade. Frans the doorman was the most pleasant and helpful of all the staff we encountered. I would look for another venue next time
Amazing buffet in morning and wine and cheese in evening. Conveniently located. Remodeled.
Nice
It was a bit noisier than I expected and there was the sound of running water all the time.
Amsterdam Stay
Excellent location. Silvia the Concierge was on point. Very friendly people.
Small rooms, not clean
Will return
Beautiful hotel with excellent breakfast. Near many attractions and restaurants.
The property was in a good area for getting to all the historic sites and museums. It also had a slew of restaurants not far from the hotel.
Very good concierge service.
Great gym facility, centrally located, easy access to all sights. Tons of room in the lobby.
One night
If you have very little time and have to be in and out of Amsterdam, it’s a great jumping spot for everything. Also perfect for catching a cab/taxi at any time (midnight or 5am). The front desk were super friendly. Blessed my family with a ton of chocolate to kick off our one night stay.
The hotel is located in a great area in close proximity to the city centre, museums, Vondelpark, restaurants, tram line, shopping etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
First the good things. Very close to the museum area and leides plaza. Generally clean hotel. Helpful with directions and they lent me an umbrella. It rains ALOT in Spring here. The negatives: hallway had bits and pieces of food tossed around (remember you are paying 300 to 400 a night here), took 2 trips to the front desk and a phone call to get a set of towels--took 15 minutes (remember you are paying 300 to 400 a night here), requested a city view which was more like a view of the next building (remember you are paying 300 to 400 here), parking was way to expensive at 60 dollars a night), and here is the topper----at check in we were asked if we wanted breakfast. We said no and then at check out we were told that we had breakfast. I said we did not and was told by the desk clerk "we have to investigate that." Now, I understand that there are a LOT of scams in Amsterdam (Scamsterdam)--a taxi charged us 40 euros for a 10 min ride from central station to the hotel--but this is marriott and the expectations should go beyond having to worry about whether the hotel is going to try to squeeze out as much as they can . So, you're really not getting a quality marriott experience here.
Excellent staff and location, very clean and tidy
Rude rude rude ataff
I have been to Amsterdam many times. I love this area. The hotel is in a great location. First time I took bus fromt he airport. It drops off and picks up in front of the hotel. Very conveinant.
Great
Perfect location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Specially Louise who made our stay more pleasant
No WIFI while I was there and as this was a business trip that was a huge problem. I complained to the front desk and to your tech support phone number but nothing was suggested that fixed the issue. You can not have a 5 star hotel with terrible WIFI. I will not be staying here again.
Great access for museum and central Amsterdam. Walked everywhere. Comfortable hotel as expected from Marriott.
I choose this hotel because they go above and beyond to make their guests feel valued!
Air conditioning is bit weak and room was always bit chilly.
Good location
Nice property. A small protest outside property around 2am. Not property's fault
Excellent stay!
Hotel location is convenience - 5-8 mins walking to museums, 3-mins walking to supermarket and 5-10 mins walking to different kinds of restaurants nearby. The receptionist and concierge service are professional and polite. Room size for family is big enough and everything is clean. Only the room air-conditioner is not working, very hot in the night time.
Amsterdam Marriott is a quality property- staff, cleanliness, location, meal options, and excellent staff response and service!
Location was great. Service is a little curt but maybe it is a Dutch thing. Room was fine, the bed are double not queen no matter what they say. The bathrooms are a little dated, small and inconvenient but overall stay was fine. You are a 4 star property, please provide a water filling station. Thank you for providing a fan.
This hotel’s location and facilities perfectly fitted our requirements for this visit to Amsterdam.
Great location
Excellent lovation
Great location, service, and comfortable room. Would recommend.
Room was not sufficiently cleaned for a Marjory branded hotel. Room was very noisy and cold at night.
Hong Kong visitors
Very friendly hotel staff with helpful smiles and worth coming back again
Room was not cleaned properly. Bin not emptied. We ran out of shower gel and had to ask repeatedly for more. Even raising issues at the desk did not improve matters. The hotel was very noisy at night. We were woken once at 3:00 am when the beds literally jumped when someone in the adjoining room slammed into the wall.
easy ability to walk into the airport
Four stars!
We booked a family room for four for a weekend away. The room was a little tired. There were some stains on the rug. It wasn't five star. That being said, the beds were super comfy and the staff were excellent, so it's hard to fault, especially given the location. Four stars!
Very convenient as the 397 bus from the airport stops right outside, and Leidseplein tram stop is right there too. But it is very quiet in the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff too. Both restaurants are excellent as well.
Location
The property is clean and workable, but could use some updating.
Excellent
Great visit for few days before a river cruise. Everything was excellent.
Poorer than it should be
Should be better. Ive stayed in Marriotts for years and this has been the worst service. Welcome was poor and the service never got better
Easy check in, lovely clean rooms that are spacious. Overall a wonderful hotel in a great location!
The only good thing about this hotel was the location
Great service with friendly staff and location was perfect!
Over priced Average Hotel
Hotel was ok. Nothing special. Not a nice Marrriot.Over priced hotel
We love the area and hotel always great service
Great location and excellent service
👍
Check-in was chaotic with many people checking in and out and needed to wait about an hour. Hotel was very good and had an elevator which was appreciated since we had baggage. Hotel is very convenient to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum as well as canal tours. Very close to the Hard Rock cafe. Location was good.
The room and the rest of the hotel weren’t very clean. Besides that it was ok.
Geeat location lots going on near the property
Clean room, great staff. Front desk Napolio very very friendly and helpful. Great location.
Amazing time
Our stay was excellent in every way. From check in, to room comfort, restaurant, it was perfection. Will definitely be staying here again.
Excellent location!
Staff were pretty helpful when needed, verging on unctuous. The lack of a do not disturb sign to hang on the room door was annoying and it seemed impossible to get any useful information about in room breakfast without accessing some hard to reach app. The hotel is conveniently close to the Rijkmuseum.
A friend and I stayed here for 4 days in July and the hotel was amazing. Close to everything and quiet. The rooms were very clean and updated with very comfortable beds. The service was wonderful too. I highly recommend this hotel!
Best location in town, with city centre within walking distance and excellent tram connectivity. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired with large stains on room carpet.
Most conveniently located in Amaterdam! So many attractions close by
Valets parking were very nice and arrival and departure. Front desk stressed and not very welcoming. No explanation of placing 2 different names on the 2 rooms booked under one name. So when we came back to get our rooms another staff member told us we had only one room instead of 2 . Fortunately he figured out the second one was under another name. At night at the bar nobody came to take the orders. Beds are very comfortable and the night was quiet. We all slept very well. Bathroom were alright could have a touch of paint. Great location to visit downtown and museums.we could nicely leave our luggage to continue our visits after checkout.
Very comfortable stay - excellent location walking distance from everything
You can never go wrong with a Marriott. You will always find it well located, clean and great service. Parking was a bit expensive, but other than that, breakfast was great, rooms were clean, with good air conditioning. Would definitely recommend.
Great air conditioning
Loved the location for a family visit. Quiet and safe. Near the park and art museum. Pancake restaurant right across the street. Canal tour and bike tour that we booked took off a 5 minute walk away. A few blocks “out” of the city center takes you to streets and restaurants that the locals use. Easy to avoid the “adult area” since we had our children with us. Loved it!
The Lounge was critical to saving lots of money on food with free breakfast and dinner.
Excellent location and very friendly, professional staff. The welcome present was wonderful surprise. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Stuff members were very helpful Property is very clean Location is awesome
Great hotel in Museum quarter!
I enjoyed staying at the Marriott. It was beautifully situated in the museum quarter, walking distance to everything. The trolly stopped right in front, so public transportation was a breeze too. Good restaurants all nearby. I especially liked the Indonesian Blue Pepper, a mere 5 min walk away. Highly recommended.
