Very clean, quiet and close to public transport. Staff are very helpful and friendly

We had a great stay here. Staff, food were excellent and great room too.

Our family of 5 stayed for 4 nights. There wasn't a table for 5 in the restaurant; we were split across 2-3 tables each time and were often asked to sit in a glass room separate to the main restaurant. Given you could book a two bedroom apartment for 6 people this is rude. We asked the staff questions and were mostly unable to get an answer. Or got very different answers. Our bathroom had hair caught in the drain from the beginning to the end of our stay. Showers were difficult to navigate and seemed to have two temperatures - very hot or cold. We had to ask for teabags to be replaced (and were given 2 at a time) and the aircondititioner didn't work. We were woken to the courtyard being cleaned at dawn each morning.

Great overnight place in heart of Richmond

I had a fabulous stay. I appreciated the well equipped kitchenette and independence yet all of the normal services of a hotel eg restaurant and room service. The bed was not very comfy.

Its lovely being so close to the river and walk. Tram right outside is very helpful. Rooms are very spacious.

It was a great stay!

Hotel itself was lovely, room was comfortable. I got the room with a bath, that was lovely. Had a nice hot jetted bath. however, the shower wasn't great. Couldn't work out the temperature; either cold or hot, and pressure was very low. Attended on a day that was raining but the paths by the Yarra looked amazing.

It is a convenient, well appointed hotel providing great service and amenities. I have stayed here before and will stay there again. Always willing to recommend this accomodation.

Desperately needs a refurb - 3 stars at best

Room aircon did not work, despite requests to fix. Arguments late a night in adjoining rooms and people throwing up in the lift wasn't great either ! Overall, this place is 10 years overdue for a refurb, looks very tired. More like a 3 star hotel, at best

A very weird hotel to say the least. It feels like a time capsule from the 80s... but the late 80s when everything started to go downhill. I will firstly say that that the service staff were lovely and helpful and the outside and bar restaurant looks amazing. It really feels like this place is deserving of it's 4-star rating at this point, that is, until you get to the bedrooms. Having stayed at the Amora in Sydney several times, I wasn't expecting to be staying in Motel-style accommodation in the centre of the Melbourne. The rooms are tight, small and poorly laid out. Everything is dusty, dirty, old and broken or on the verge of breaking. There were two powerpoints in the entire room and none next to the bed. The balcony is not even slightly private and you essentially have to have your curtains drawn all day and night if you want privacy. The walls are paper thin, you could hear neighbours arguing. The bathrooms are incredibly dated and mine in particular had an opening window/door situation over the shower/bath set up that didn't close properly which meant that when I had a shower, the bed got wet... which not only sucks having to sleep on a wet bed, but makes me wonder how long it's been like this and how the mattress is holding up with that kind of exposure to moisture. I definitely wouldn't stay again as I feel the experience falls far short of the price point, essentially paying 4-5 star hotel prices in the middle of the city for a regional seaside town style motel.

There were dirty dishes left in the walkway in front of our room for hours and the outdoor patio area floor was sticky and the carpet needed a good vacuum.

The air conditioning wasn’t working and once reported I wasn’t advised of the outcome, slept terribly due to the heat and no air conditioning, when speaking to management the following day they said they will get maintenance onto it never waiving any costs whatsoever and manager was quite rude

The venue, oft visited prior to lockdowns, has undergone significant change to the ground floor, making it more welcoming. The room was exceptionally clean, maintained and stocked. Facing the Yarra River, the view was calming and serene. It's difficult to identify areas for improvement. Thank you staff. Your stewardship of such a beautiful assets was nothing less sensational as the asset itself. Thanking you. Ben.

Excellent breakfast

Nice atmosphere when we arrived. The room was a little outdated, but nice.

Stayed over Christmas break. Room was excellent - spotlessly clean. Easy access to public transport for city visits. Buffet breakfast was excellent. So was the Christmas lunch (booked separately as an add on). Would happily stay here again.

The step in bath for a shower is a safety issue for the elderly

For the price, close to city and central to many other places to visit, ease of parking underground, breakfast inclusion, great restaurants within walking distance and felt safe we kept coming back during our trip in Victoria.

As usual we enjoyed our stay except we had a lot of noise coming from the room above us. This continued until after midnight. Might ask for a top floor room next time

Lovely river walk a few steps from the hotel

We really enjoyed most aspects of our stay. The loved the dark moody interiors. They were really beautiful. The bed was comfy. The only issue that we had was that we were not able to adjust the temperature in the bedroom ourselves and the room was too hot for us to sleep comfortably in. We spoke to the front desk but were advised temperature is controlled for the whole building by them.

Room was comfortable if a little small. The shower needs another safety rail higher on the wall to help older people

Very courteous staff all round. We were a little early for our check in and everyone involved went above and beyond to make sure we were in our room ASAP. Lovely hotel.

Always clean, easy and comfortable

We had a relaxing holiday,. Staff were pleasant, always on alert and ready to help. The setting at the reception area is welcoming and excellent.

I loved the happy hour with live music! The lovely staff.

Customer service was amazing when we arrived. When we dined customer service was really amazing, food was excellent. Buffet breakfast customer service was not great young lady spoke to me like i wasn't supposed to be there until i gave her my room number.i was not impressed but over all great place. I really recommend

Very clean and friendly staff

Hotel and staff were helpful and fabulous.. only issue was I couldn’t increase room temperature.. I was cold . Staff gave me a heater but didn’t work. That was the only issue. Apart from that , it was a wonderful experience.

Really clean and maintained property. Very convenient to where a party was being held. I found that the reception staff were efficient, however not very warm and inviting (very serious, no smiles) We had 11:00 am checkout, we came back from breakfast at 10:45 am to find housekeeping staff already in the room cleaning... we needed to quickly finalise our packing and leave the room... even though close to check out time, one would think that staff should wait until the actual chek out time before entering a room. Same scenario for friends who were also staying there.

The room was very clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. I was able to easily adjust the room aircon temp to suit. The staff were helpful and friendly. There were no "incidentals" in my bar fridge which is what the receptionist explained the $50 bond was for however when I told her that she said it was hotel policy but couldn't explain why. I've never been charged this in a Melbourne hotel before but it was refunded promptly.

Welcoming foyer with friendly staff. A beautiful building with a lovely garden and lawn area.

Amora is close to Epworth Hospital which is good for my husband & I. Bar & small eats are very comfortable & eats great. Staff very helpful.

We had great trouble getting into our room as keys didn't work, took many times back to reception before it was finally fixed, room was quite small but clean

Overall, a nice property and staff are great. Showers in the loft I was in could do with an upgrade. Good value overall.

Proximity to river and walking track

Great location and great vibe, my only complaint would be the shower/bath situation. Not so safe climbing into the bath for a shower. Bath wall quite tall and you could easily slip and fall.

The property is in a safe neighborhood. Staff at reception, The Reserve room (Pare and Front) are very friendly and efficient. We loved our 2 bedroom suite.

Excellent location

It was convenient to get to the MCG, city centre and suburbs. The carpark was handy. The location is quiet and the grassed area leading down to the walking trails on the Yarra is beautiful. The staff were friendly and super helpful.

The outside balcony was very dirty and some of the dishes were dirty that had been put away. Then the air conditioning stopped working in the night.

Unfortunately our stay was punctuated by a very rowdy function on a Saturday night. Despite being on the top floor of the hotel the level of noise made it impossible to sleep.

Great location - walking track along the Yarra on your doorstep, right on bridge road but not too noisy. Easy undercover parking available. Beds and pillows great. Staff very helpful. Great inner city stay 😊

A pool on site would make it 5 star.

Good location to trams. However, beds are TERRIBLE. Booked a twin room for 4 people, all had uncomfortable sagging old beds and poor sleep as a result. False advertising on their website- actually charge $30, not $25 for parking. Reasonably clean, quiet rooms. Good restaurant downstairs

Stayed in a 2bd 2bath loft apartment. Facilities within the room were great, comfortable and clean. Hotel staff were very accommodating. Beautiful lounge area to relax by the fire with a drink from the hotel bar.

loved the location. Easy walk to MCG with a lot of eateries on the way and a tram stop right out front. Hotel is modern, clean and quiet. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a balcony that was not private and anyone could easily access it from the next door rooms. Some negatives, no complimentary milk or bottled water in the fridge.The bed was one of the most uncomfortable we had ever slept on and on further investigation we found 2 single beds pushed together with the mattress protector not even on the mattress and a very lumpy underlay. We went down to the Breakfast Buffett which was one of the best we have had. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The spa room is a good option if you are travelling with a baby as you can close the bedroom off from the TV area which works as a quiet space for the baby.

Very nice hotel in a great location, next to the Yarra River, right on the tram line, 20 minutes from the CBD. A great bonus that the hotel provides a pass to the terrific Richmond Leisure Centre with 50 meter pool. Nice rooms, some with views of the river and very clean. Given the quality of this hotel it’s strange that maintenance doesn’t seem to be a priority. The towel rack in our shower was visibly broken when we arrived. The hotel charges a damage deposit so we made sure to mention this to the front desk the first day. The room was cleaned daily so staff was aware. An easy repair but it was still hanging loose when we checked out three days later.

Great position for shopping and transport. Charging for car parking after booking was not good.

This was well priced and rooms fine but just lacked a bit. We always assess hotels within their class and I just felt this should be slightly better.

Highly recommend this accomodation. Easy tram access to city. Great walking to explore Richmond, on the Yarra path or around other suburbs close by. The staff were professional and friendly and the room clean and lovely.

The property is very nice with attractive views over the river and surrounding suburbs. However there isn’t much to do in the immediate vicinity (walking distance). The other disappointment was that parking at the hotel cost extra.

This was our second stay here and we love the location. Overall, the place is modern, clean, quiet and comfortable. Some great food options on Bridge Rd within a 15 min walk and there's a tram stop right outside if you want to head into the city. Room was spacious enough for the two of us and had a nice outdoor balcony area. Some minor blemishes: the fridge appeared in need of maintenance and ran continuously without really getting anything cold. The bed was a touch on the soft side for us. We specifically asked for a bath and that was great, but not necessarily easy to step in an out of.

Beautiful place. Disappointed again to pay for a balcony room and not get one.

Very disappointed in Tapas bar quality of food. We waited over 40 mins for our meal so much so we asked if it could be sent to our room. The pizza, my partner couldn't eat due to mainly all cheese and my hamburger was cold and chips were overcooked and cold.

Do not stay on the weekends.

Highly recommend avoiding staying here on the weekends. Usually there is loud music blasting all night long until 11pm. I have been here twice on 2 seperate weekend years apart and same story both times. For the first time I thought it was bad luck. After the second stay, I will never stay there again. Can’t sleep before 12am with a 6 mth old. After the music ended, people walking and talking in the hallway till 2am in the morning. Also, asked front desk for a pen to fill in breakfast room service and was rudely dismissed and promised pen will be dropped off at our door. Ended up having to get breakfast out in the morning as we never got a pen. Cups and utensils in the room had finger prints all over. Looked like it has not been washed for a long time. Rooms are very dated despite the main lobby looking nicely renovated.

Great location to stay, safe & quiet. Easy parking. Nice bar downstairs while we waited for our room - our room was not ready upon check in, even though they rang an hr earlier to say it would be. The cleaning of the room was therefore a little rushed.
