Visit to BA and Antarctica

Wonderful place to stay while in Buenos Aires. Good breakfast, close to restaurants and shops. Very friendly staff. Luana was so kind and helpful. We will stay here again when in Buenos Aries. The hotel held some of our luggage for 2 weeks while we were in Antarctica.

It was a wonderful experience

Good breakfast with a lot of choices. Very helpful staff. Stored our luggage for a few days while we flew to Iguazu Falls. The hotel is storing our small carry on while we cruise Antarctica. Hotel is in a great location for shops, restaurants and more. I am very glad we stayed here.

The hotel facilities were impeccable. The staff was so helpful and attentive to our requests. The restaurant options were variable and food delicious. It’s located next to the main points of interest. Walking distant to restaurants and main attractions.

The breakfast included was delicious. Small restaurant area and lobby sector. Safe and close to walkable attractions.

The complimentary breakfast was very good. Comfortable bed and the bathroom was more than adequate. Staff were able to assist with answers to questions, etc. Area around the property was good for finding restaurants and shops. The hotel is close to cruise ship terminal(s) which was important to us.

A week in Buenos Aires

The staff at any hotel make the difference, as long as the room is clean and tidy ,which it was, then it's purely down to their attitude to the customers. From the reception staff who were tremendous, answering all our queries and helping with printing various forms, to the breakfast staff who were all smiles each morning, to the house maid who was as friendly as could be, it was all good. The location is right in the middle of the city with the hop on hop off tour bus a two minute walk away to get your bearings with. If you want a sea view book somewhere else , but for the price the hotel was perfect for us, we would happily stay again.

Perfect location and clean hotel

The hotel is located about 2 blocks from Galerias Pacifico, and Florida street and 2 blocks from Puerto Madero. The area is very safe. We did not hear any noise in our room. The breakfast is good with fruits, yogurt, eggs, and croissants. The employees at the front desk are so lovely and always willing to help. The room and bathroom are very clean and the AC unit works amazingly. I will recommend this hotel.

best hotel from our trip in Buenos Aires

funny the air condition wil go on around 10 noise. But we had great climate. Sorry for the fuse short - maybe it was over used in the other city. Thanks for let us used yours

The gym needs to be updated. Equipment is 40 years old and broken.

They were supposed to have free shuttle to take us to air port and we asked them about it and they said yes we will have a free shuttle and they made reservation for us. A van came to the Hotel picking us up and taking to airport. Then the driver asked to be paid. We called the hotel and they said we have to pay for the shuttle and we end up paying $25.00.

Australian in Amerian Luxury for a Few Nights

There are wonderful things to see and do within 1km or so. The Amerian is a very good quality hotel. Very secure. Nice breakfast, not a 5-star breakfast but way better than the breakfast in a slightly less expensive hotel I stayed at in Buenos Aires. The area is quite safe late at night, but stay alert.

Great place to stay in Buenos Aires

We stayed at the Amérian Buenos Aires Park Hotel because of its location close to the ferry dock in Buenos Aires. We arrived very early and the hotel welcomed us and stored our luggage until they could accommodate us with an early check in at noon. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Some of them spoke excellent English and everyone was interested to try! The room was average sized with a refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was convenient and had tasty food. They arranged for our taxi the next morning. I realized that I left my cell phone in our room after arriving at the ferry dock. The taxi called his dispatch who called the hotel who brought my phone to the desk and we made the ferry with no problem. This is wonderful and a huge testament to the staff of the Amérian Buenos Aires Park Hotel.

My husband and I did not like the free breakfast ! Loved our room. Loved the balcony but almost got locked out side ! Staff was very friendly

The room was basic but clean and well kept. The beds are firm and very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome too. For the price, I wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was.

Great and safe location

The hotel location was great. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. Water pressure was awesome. It’s in a very safe area. We walked back from dinner had no problem. It’s close to a lots of touristy place. Breakfast was ok. WiFi was good. Overall, we had great time!

We had two 2 night stays in January and February. The first stay was in a superior room that was okay, nothing special. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable, just okay like everything else. The second stay, three weeks later, wasn't pleasant. The standard room was shabby, not dirty, but in poor condition. The AC vent and wall around it had been repaired, but left unpainted. The towels were thread-bare and dingy. Half of the toiletries were missing and there wasn't a pen or scrap of paper in the room---we had to call to have someone come to assist with laundry because there was no bag to leave items and no pen to write on the form. We returned to our room after a great day in the city to find a note saying we could come to desk to change our room. We didn't; we were busy trying to track down the rush laundry order (to be done by 6pm) but wasn't. Laundry was delivered while we were out to dinner in less than fresh clothes.

Excellent value for money in superb location

Highly recommend this hotel. Great value for money and in a superb location close to everything. Has a lovely bar and the breakfast was great.

Decent modern hotel close to the Port

I was planning to cross the river to go to Uruguay via Buquebus so I wanted a place close to Pueto Madero -- this was a very adequate choice. Hotel staff was very helpful.

Centrally located hotel

During my stay BA was in the midst of unseasonably hot weather. It was a holiday weekend. The A/C in my room was inadequate to the task.

Good first impression

Hotel was fine check in was slow and service just OK. Location seemed good bit didn't spend enough time to give a fair evaluation. Food to the only restaurant was terrible. Breakfast was fine. Bottom line I would give it another chance

Very nice stay

the hotel was wonderfully located. It was very hot in our room and took about 18 hours for the air conditioner to finally get there the room was actually cool. They also are using some kind of incense in the room and if you don't like the smell of incense as I don't then this may not be the place for you. The hotel staff was just exceptional and bend over backwards being nice and helpful. I can't tell you about the breakfast as we left at 6 o'clock in the morning. I did ask if they could have a piece of fruit or something for my diabetic husband and they weren't able to provide anything like that only coffee and a cookie

The a/c was not that cold but overall a very nice hotel, good staff and great location.

We stay 2 nights We asked for a late check out bcs our flight was at midnight and they were kind to let us stay till 6 pm for half price

Hotel is close to major tourist sites and to buses

Continued to stay after our group tour was completed. Due to Christmas holidays the hotel did not offer all its amenities....such as the bar being open. However, one was able to get assistance to find alternatives.

Ok yet critical for business is WI FI and that was not possible. Was down during stay. Not a happy camper and post inquiring the bit arrogant front desk young man that checked me in said well server is in Cordoba not much can be done and simply looked away. Not going back again. Heads up for business travelers. ..

Great staff, good location, good price

During our trip to South America we checked in and out of the Amerian Buenos Aires Park Hotel on 3 different occasions for varying durations. On each visit we found the staff to be superbly helpful and friendly. They kept for me a hat I left in the hotel room in their lost and found and it was delivered to my room when I inquired about it on the next visit. On our last day there we were to check out at 10:00 am for a 9:00 pm flight that night, but my wife came down with an illness that would have prevented us from doing anything else between those times. My request to remain in our room until 6:00 pm that night was immediately granted - with no extra charge!

Home away from home

Excellent location and very comfortable. Enjoyed visiting with OAT travelers. The one suggestion I have is for them to employe someone to provide information about the city and especially tourist attractions. We were given some poor, inconsiderate kinds of information that made our stay inefficient and sometimes frustrating

Overnight stay near Puerto Madero and downtown

They were short on staff, one person doing checkin and checkout, one person to handle luggage. The neighborhood was ok, close to 9 de Julio avenue.

Excellent all around

Very clean, very comfortable, excellent service, excellent location, reasonable cost (15 min walk to Teatre Colon, 15 min walk Puerto Madero, 5 min walk to Florida St shopping)! Only neg is no coffee in rooms and only offered until end of breakfast at 10:30 in restaurant.

excellent value for the price

The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel was the best part of my stay in Buenos Aires! Located about 20 minutes on foot from Casa Rosada. The room was comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. WiFi is free and reasonably reliable and fast--I had problems connecting only once, late at night. No coffee maker in the room, but plenty of coffee shops within one block of the hotel. Highly recommended.

paid for a room with Queen size bed got a small bed and was told that i had to pay for the free breakfast......

We enjoyed our stay at the Amerian Hotel in Buenos Aires. It was close to all the places we wanted to see. The staff was very helpful.

Location! Location! Location!

The location of this hotel could not be more convenient. It is within walking distance to the Mayo Plaza, Florida Street (major shopping district), Puerto Madero and a lot of other sights and restaurants. This is a hotel that caters to tourist groups and business travellers. The rooms are small but adequate. Breakfast was ok.

Booked via Overseas Adventure Travel

Room was comfortable and clean. Elevators took some getting use to. People at front deck were helpful. The breakfast set up often found us without bowls for cereal, juices and not a wide selection of yogurts.

Nice hotel close to Galleria Pacifico

Really enjoyed the close proximity to the shopping area and restaurants. The staff was pleasant and friendly. WE liked the traditional lobby decor, a nice mix of old and new world! The continental breakfast was very nice and adequate for our needs. The hotel room was comfortable and nicely appointed. There was enough soaps in the bathroom and it was clean! Would definitely come back and stay again as the price to value relationship was right on!!

Hotel is recently under renovation. Nice, cetral location, quiet. Staff very friendly. I would recommend this hotel, especially after renovation

An enjoyable week in Buenos Aires

I stayed there for a week and had a very good experience all around. The breakfasts are very good, with a full and diverse buffet menu. The location in Micro Centro BA in the heart of downtown is good for tourism, for walking and subway. The weekends are pleasant when it the area is less crowded. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is a group tourist hotel that meets those basic needs. Nothing special or unique about this hotel.

I recommend this hotel

It is a nice hotel, close to some restaurants and close to Puerto Madero. I spent one night at this hotel and they had problems the Wi-Fi signal for Internet. During the night no one was able to fix the problem. Internet service is very important for everyone and specially for business people.

Amerian Park Hotel, Buenos Aires

This hotel is located in a near perfect spot. Just a short walk from Puerto Madero, and in spitting distance to Galeria Pacifico on Avenida Florida, the main shopping mile. From the hotel you can easily walk to all major attractions like the "Pink House" where the Argentine 'queen' (LOL) resides and passes laws that will eventually destroy this Countries economy even further. The hotel offers everything that a standard high class hotel anywhere in the world will offer you. The staff speaks english and is very helpful. Keep in mind that Buenos Aires has become a dangerous city so keep your purse slode to you, don't walk like a tourist and stay with crowds when walking at night. Only take the EZE Taxi from the airport, never walk outside to take a cab from the airport curb in Ezeiza, especially if you are coming in the early morning hours.

When you walk into this hotel, the lobby is beautiful and you expect the rooms and service to be the same --- but they weren't. We requested a non-smoking room, but got a smoking room anyway. The room was nothing to brag about, but was okay. The location isn't bad during the work week, as it is in the downtown area. But the hotel staff was not impressive. For example, the night before we were supposed to fly out, we had the staff book us a taxi so we could catch a morning flight out of the local airport, and the taxi that was allegedly ordered never came. The morning staff was completely unhelpful in providing us with assistance in ordering another taxi so we could make our flight. Further, when we asked the front desk if they could help us make a dinner reservation, they charged us for the local call they made on our behalf. We were not impressed. The room rate did include breakfast, which was okay.

We were very pleased with our choice. Staff were exemplary and it was most helpful that they were English speaking. Most places of interest were within walking distance.

One of the nicest mid priced hotels in BA

I have stayed at the Amerian Buenas Aires Park Hotel 3 times now and each time I appreciate it more. Excellent position, spacious rooms, pleasant staff and very well maintained. Other hotels in this price range just don't measure up to the Amerian. It compares favourably with 4 star hotels. I'll always stay here when in Buenas Aires.

Excellent location

close to Puerto Madero as well as to the Galleria Pacifico. The hotel is very nice, modern and has excellent services. It is not a 5+star hotel but certainly for the money worth every penny. Got a great deal through Hotels.com and will stay in this hotel again. As with everything Buenos Aires, you have to be aware at night in even the best quarters. Don't get ripped of by a cab from the airport. Get the Cab service that is AT THE TERMINAL when you land. Taxi Ezeiza is one of the best. Get the business card of your cab driver when you take the cab from the airport and call him a day ahead when you want to leave again back to EZE. Don't use the go-around cabs for anything but to go from place to place within the City. NEVER hop in some guys cab that offers you his 'service' on the street or in the terminal. NEVER! Common sense my friends, most people in Argentina are poor. If you can afford as much as a backpack you are rich, no matter what you think. Nice place to eat in Puerto Madero is Brassas de Argentina, a buffet style restaurant. Excellent lunch value, very very good food and selection.

Mixed feelings

This hotel is nice - pretty lobby, nice and clean rooms with good decor, etc. Unfortunately we had a significant issue that tarnished our stay. When we arrived in our room, the thermostat read that it was nearly 80 degrees which was uncomfortable. And when I went to turn on the air conditioning it only cranked out hot air. I called down to the front desk to and was told in a very patronizing tone that "it's is winter here, and we turn off air conditioning to the entire hotel". We ended up changing rooms to one a floor down which helped a little but not much. I understand it was winter, but unusual weather happens anywhere from time to time and I expected a four star hotel to have heating and aircon available all year around. We opened a window and noticed that most of the other guests had their windows open also - so I'm sure we weren't alone in how we felt. This issue alone wouldnt have been a big incident, but we were very disappointed in the attitude of the hotel staff. They weren't very helpful and seemed annoyed that we even brought up the issue to them. That was a shame. We will not stay here again, but I wouldn't say that others shouldn't book a room here. Just don't expect very warm and helpful staff should you have an issue come up.

Great Place

I have stayed in BA now three times and this by far has been the best hotel. Close to Puerto Madero, late night Irish Pub across the street, walking distance to Galleria Pacificica Shopping Mall. The only down side is the actual city itself. Trash on the streets, no garbage pick-up but that is not the hotel's fault. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Amerian Buenos Aires Park Hotel-Near sights

Excellent location near historic areas and shopping which we could walk to. Easily arranged tours further afield through front desk and staff helpful with recommendations. Staff spoke English and very helpful. Excellent breakfast buffet was included and served for several hours for both late and early starts. Our room was very clean, air-conditioned, had refrigerator and tv, and nice size. Had three computers in lobby for our use. Wake up calls were on time. Depending on traffic is about 30-45 minutes from airport with reasonable cab fare arranged through front desk.

Pleasantly surprised

The Hotel is nicely located to shopping, sights and restaurants.One block from the Pacifico Galleriers shopping mall and is about 6 blocks to Puerto Madero which has many nice restaurants. The Breakfast buffet in the Hotel had a good variety of hot foods, cereals, juices, sweet buns, breads, etc. There were 3 computers in the hotel lobby with internet access for people who do not carry their laptops with them. There is security in the hotel as only guests have access to the use of elevators with their hotel room key cards. The reception staff were very good & knowledgeable in English and provided information on the area or booked tours for those who requested it.

Hotel Amerian - Great place for a vacation stay

The hotel was clean and very well located. Breakfast buffet was adequate but there wasn't a ton of choice. Hotel staff generally spoke English but there was no concierge which could have come in handy for some of our vacation planning. My parents had stayed here in a previous visit to Buenos Aires and recommended it to us. Value was very good.

Pretty good

The hotel was small but nice. The hotel seemed to be, at time, understaffed and so check in was a lengthy process. The day we arrived, the hotel room wasn't ready until 5pm. But the room was quite comfortable and had very nice amenities. The hotel boasted a gym, which was really a small room on the top floor with an old treadmill, bicycle, and weight machine which was broken. The treadmill didn't always work. However, the sauna was nice. It's located near the "down town"/financial area of buenos aires, and so was easily accessible to other neighborhoods, even by just walking.
