Felt very safe and the employees were very friendly.

We always stay here because it's at the Domain. The staff is friendly and rooms are cleaned. We've never had any issues. Highly recommend.

Checking in, young lady was rude. We were part of a team and were to be given coupons for breakfast, never were given any! Kept hitting my knee and shin on bed platform. Bed was to short and hard.

Great Hotel and location

Hotel provided free ear plugs because cars did donuts and revved their engines most of the night in the parking garage behind the hotel. Had issues with wifi and when wifi was not working, could not get cell reception anywhere in the hotel. Had to walk down the street to check text message & emails or take/receive phone calls.

The front desk guy was rude in the morning, generally unhelpful about my prepaid breakfast and checking out. Bring a white noise machine…hotels that “gift” you earplugs are not the best to sleep in. Convenient location, walkable to all of the domain.

The proximity to shops

Awesome stay! Limited space for clothing so unpacking was limited, but there was a long couch to keep your luggage on so we made it work. Also building itself has no parking and we weren’t very excited about leaving our car in a separate building, but it was right next door and we parked so we still had a view of our car so it ended up working out as well. Staff is very friendly and the location is so convenient that it really made the small inconveniences irrelevant. Highly recommend.

It was perfect

Amazing staff, nice pool table in the lobby and bar, very comfortable room. Loved it!

Fantastic stay, the host people were super nice and kind! They showed our dogs love and they were very considerate. Place was very clean all around from our rooms to the lobby. The elevator was broken the last day or two of our stay from the parking garage, might've been more of a challenge if I were traveling alone. We had to take the ramp down with our suitcases.

Property is beautiful and staff was very attentive and nice. Only bad experience for us was construction noise next door, but obviously not the hotels fault.

Location is great.

Paid a premium price but terrible view. AC was awesome, customer service was not. No light in shower it was reported but not corrected. Breakfast was included but staff neglected to show up so we had to starve. No compensation offered. Mike the bartender is awesome. Walkable location but could not use pool it was filthy covered with scum super disappointing for a girls weekend poolside.

Fancy and cozy!

Aloft is always a good experience. There was one elevator that was kinda weird and the doors started closing while we were walking through. Other than that, no issues. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and kind. Also, they provided ear plugs. At first we weren't sure why, but we were right in a party area and as it got later, I started to understand why the ear plugs were there. It really wasn't even that loud, but it was thoughtful.

We liked but didn’t love our stay. We had stayed at an Aloft before that we did love, but this stay had issues. Upon arrival the electronic lock to our room wasn’t working so they moved us to a different room. Two nights later, maintenance knocked on our door at 12:30am asking if we needed our lock fixed. In the middle of the night when we had a do not disturb sign out. We told them it was a different room. Then at 1am, a staff member came to the door saying we weren’t supposed to be there and that it was someone else’s room, and repeatedly asked why we were there and what our names were. She never apologized. She said she would be right back and never came back. A few days later the tv in our room stopped working so we had to move. When we told the manager about the rude woman saying we didn’t belong there she apologized and gave us free parking and two drink tickets. I managed a boutique hotel once, and was so disappointed by our experience here. The bright spot was one staff member, Gentry.

Amazing stay, the staff was beyond excellent, the breakfast good, but the milk was watery. The room great, bathroom and all. The facilities are great, the gym is great, suffiently equipped. I gave 4 stars because the pool was not so clean with leaves and bugs. I did swim though.

The guy that checked us in didn't explain anything! He had earbuds in and seemed uninterested in actually doing his job! Not a good first impression, therefore, I dont recommend this location.

The property is in a good location. I was able to park my vehicle and walk to all the great destinations in the area.

location is good. The layouts of the rooms are a bit strange but clean. Gets the job done.

We did have a great stay outside of a couple of hiccups. Room was clean and ready when we arrived. A very loud group of 12-ish went into the room next door at 2:30 and proceeded to yell for an hour. We couldn’t get ahold of the front desk since our in room phone wasn’t working. Then housekeeping attempted to come in over two hours prior to check out. Besides that good stay!

FRIENDLY STAFF

Ideal location in the Domain area of Austin. Multiple shops and restaurants in the area and in walkable distance. Rooms are perfect for a quick weekend stay. My first room the toilet stopped functioning, but staff immediately accommodated me and placed me in a new room within 45 minutes and walked me to my new room without me having to even go to main lobby to exchange key cards. Also, I wasn’t even charged an extra fee for early check in! The day I checked in they allowed me to check in at 11am when my flight came in earlier than expected.

Staff were so polite an check in was easy and quick. I think it’s amazing that they have complementary water , fruit , tea and coffee. My room was perfect I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Property was clean, quiet, and walkable to shopping and food.

You are definitely paying for the location at this property. The lobby / bar area is nice and modern, but the rooms leave much to be desired. Overall, just a poor renovation and can tell the rooms are not properly maintained. Not to mention I found I hair in the bed and 3 more in the shower. You can’t beat the location, though, if you are going to stay in North Austin. Walking distance to everything in the Domain (shops, restaurants, bars etc.).

The staff at the reception were extremely rude. The room was dirty, reported it to reception, no one did anything. We were first told breakfast is paid, but later found out that breakfast is included by which time it was already too late. Horrible experience.

It was a beautiful hotel with a nice and funky interior design aesthetic. We were only staying one night as a family of 4, with 2 children 8 and under. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to fully enjoy the facilities (pool) but, besides that, it didn't seem very kid friendly or kid oriented. It was conveniently located at The Domain, with multiple shopping and dining options at walking distance. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We could hear the cars outside (hence the two pairs of earplugs complimentary for use in the room). All in all, it was a nice stay. Next time I'd consider bringing my dog, since it is dog friendly. :)

Best place at the Domain

The Aloft is the only place we stay at while visiting to the Domain in Austin. The charm, location and price are the best and you can’t beat the service with Mike, the bartender.

Great location

Property was extremely loud, definitely don’t go if you’re expecting to relax. You have to park in a parking garage, which I did not like. Typically stay at the Westin, but decided to try an alternative hotel, wouldn’t do that again. It’s in a good location, and walking distance to everything, but could hear the couple by us screaming at each other, the people coming in from bar hopping yelling and slamming doors. I’d pay the extra money, vs coming back.

First off, they lost my reservation (for 2 nights) from expedia. Then once they were working on that, one of the desk people was very nice and offering a lot of information to guests. the person helping me was like 'here' and handed me my room key, zero customer service or welcome. I specifically said that i was allergic to Down in the feather pillows and my room had 8 of them on 2 beds.The foam pillows they gave me (after i had to carry the others down 3 floors) were like 2 bricks. I do have to say the shower was hot, but never going to stay at a Aloft again.

The stay was okay, slight issue with the staff I checked in with but overall the stay was just okay. The shower was not as clean as it could have been, and neither were the side tables in the room. I got attitude from the staff when I asked for clean sheets/bedding. I would not stay here again.

Bathroom was backup and would not flush. Staff did nothing to help or alleviate the situation. I travel to Austin frequently with friends and family - will not be booking this establishment.

Rooms are nice. Shower is big. More of a European/Japanese feel to the room in that there wasn't a lot of extra space and what space was there was very efficient. I would stay again.
