great breakfast!
Absolutely wonderful, fresh breakfast. Owner was very friendly and helpful.
Our host, Bek, was wonderful. She gave us a very interesting history of the home and Quincy. She prepared a lovely breakfast for us in the morning to complete our relaxing stay at the Millhouse Inn.
Great house. Great food. Great host.
Great experience! - Highly recommend!
Beck was a wonderful hostess! The property was as described. It was very clean which we are picky about! Nothing but good things to say!
Our stay at Allison House was delightful. The historic house is charming and quirky. The area is full of history. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well appointed. Our host was attentive and informative. Great visit and hope to return soon.
Most enjoyable.
Very quaint, quiet, and a unique experience. I’d stay there again and recommend it to my friends and family. The hostess was very friendly and the breakfast was great.
In a charming neighborhood and very nice!
We were able to snag the only room with two beds since I came with my son. We were on the first floor. Expedia will need to update the name of the bed&breakfast to the Millhouse Inn.
Historic older bnb, owner was great, food was outstanding. Bed was comfy. Small town atmosphere, close enough to other amenities. Recommended.
Nice historic home
Bek was na great host and the property wascomfortable and welcoming
Bek is a wonderful host and makes delicious meals for breakfast. Our room & bed (Wicker Room) was very comfortable / clean. Wish we'd have been able to spend more time on the property but our plans did not allow for this.
.
Lovely B&B in a quaint little town
Wonderful, friendly and helpful owner, Bek, who advised us as to places to visit and recommended restaurants. Our 'Wicker' room was very spacious and filled with natural light. Ned sat high and was just the perfect firmness for our backs. Breakfast was wonderful, just as everyone has said. Lovely little town with beautiful historical homes made for a great place for a stroll. We enjoyed our time there for sure!
The property was better than anticipated. Clean, quiet and the innkeeper Bek was gracious and a great cook.
Great hosts Great room very clean
Gracious host, wonderful breakfast, easy in and out and your own A/C thermostat. Excellent ambiance for an old property
There was a lot of history to the property and it was unique.
The establishment name is Millhouse Inn (formerly Allison House). I was welcomed as if I was family. The historical downtown area was a nice surprise considering I did not research anything about the area. Millhouse Inn is very well-kept. Bek Millhouse was a wonderful host and my room was spacious. She informed me about this home’s history and a brief historical note about Quincy. We had a great conversation the following morning after she provided a full breakfast. Sadly, the town square was hit harshly by the economic effects of the pandemic. But it is clean and has potential for a rebound. Because of my experience here, it will be a rare occurrence if I ever stay in a regular hotel room again. Bed & Breakfast Inns are the way to go when traveling.
The breakfast was wonderful, and the hosts were very accommodating and friendly.
Historic hideaway stay
Traveling through and scored on another great place to stay. Beautiful historic home with delicious big breakfast 👅 I just wish we had more time to really check out the history in this cute town. Definitely will stay again when traveling 👍👍 The Bowman’s
Beautiful historic home. Right in the middle of the historic district. Easy walking tour around the neighborhood and downtown. Fresh made omelet for breakfast.
Allison House Inn
This was a real treat. Lovely house, room and home owners. We plan to come back when we have more time.
Our room was very comfortable and we felt at ease in the house. The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay. Bek and John were very friendly.
Lovely old house great rooms. Bek and John are wonderful hosts. John cooked blueberry pancakes for our breakfast they were delicious. Nice garden to sit as well.
A lovely old house recently established as a B&B. Nice facilities, comfortable bed, a good breakfast and very friendly hosts.
Home away from home!
Wonderful place, great hosts and comfortable bed! Would stay there again and again.
A hidden gem! John and Bek are fabulous hosts and the breakfast was delightful!
The hotel was okay if your on a budget and need a inexpensive place to stay! Nothing fancy or nice about the hotel other than the nice and very friendly staff other wise I would not being staying there again.
Very antique house beautiful place! To stay good location!
Enjoyed the stay. Had a wonderful night’s rest and morning breakfast. We are new to the bed and breakfast experience and pleased to say it was worth the visit.
The property is a lovely antique that the owners plan to put their own touch on. The bed was comfortable and the AC terrific. The owners were terrific. A very pleasant experience.
We loved the unique room decor and especially the one we stayed in called The Hunt Room!
Beautiful old house, very friendly, and comfortable bed.
Delightful stay
Delightful stay. Delicious breakfast. Interesting historical area.
Hosts Beck and John are extremely personable and great hosts. They have recently taken over inn-keeping duties here as new owners and they are making improvements daily while still respecting the unique history of the Allison house Inn.
Had a good stay, both Bek and John were amazing hosts, will stay again.
Nicest bed and breakfast we’ve ever visited!!
The Allison Inn was a beautiful place to stay. The room was decorated beautifully and the bed was very comfy.
A charming B&B in the heart of Quincy. We loved the property.
Great stay at this nice B&B
Came to town to see a show at the Quincy Music Theater which is two blocks from this bed and breakfast. So much nicer than a cookie cutter big name chain. Hosts were gracious and friendly.
Owners are most gracious and hospitable. John makes a terrific breakfast. The mattress in our room was extremely firm and so very comfortable. The restaurant Sage in Tallahassee is right off Highway 10. It was a wonderful meal and easy access back to Quincy.
The inn with personality,
This is a cozy bed and breakfast. Each room has it's own personality. The rooms are named and the decor matches the name. Truly a beautiful experience. Breakfast provided each morning. Outstanding The hosts are impeccable. I highly recommend.
Cozy and attractive
Very comfortable. Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly hosts. Delicious breakfast. Will definitely return.
Wonderful place, friendly owners. This is like a little oasis of southern gentility. Each room is different and charming. They go out of their way to welcome guests. Two suggestions - not sure if appropriate for a bed and breakfast, but a mini fridge in the room would be nice, as well as a desk to work at.
It’s history and beauty made it an even better stay. The owners were very accommodating
A B&B with a good downstairs 2 bed room!
The host was very welcoming. He suggested several places for dinner. We were very happy with the fried chicken and service at a very reasonable price at O’Dells downtown. Allison Inn had adequate and safe parking. Due to the inclement weather, we did not stay for breakfast. It has a comfortable 2 bed downstairs room with claw foot tub. It has a comfortable back yard, but there is no real living room to congregate in .There is a small foyer where you check in. We stay at many b&b’s every year, and this is the first one that did not have that luxury.
It was a very warm and inviting property. The innkeepers are very gracious and accommodating.

John and Bek were wonderful hosts. The history of the house is interesting, our room was wonderful and breakfast was delicious.
We had a great stay at this beautiful inn!
Very nice B&B in a quaint historic town. John and Bek were wonderful hosts. Met an interesting family from Switzerland. Wish we could have stayed longer! The Wicker Room was very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.
Thanks to John and Beck we had a wonderful time on our short stay for our granddaughter's graduation at Florida A&M University. Both were very friendly, and made us feel at home; we will definitely come back to Allison House.
The Area's Best
The new owners have started renovating areas that were neglected by the previous owners, but the interior of the guest areas are fabulous, as was the hospitality and breakfast. If you stay, take the time to walk around the historic area, including lovely homes and the traditional business district. It's worth the sidetrip from Tallahassee.
Very nice. The owners were wonderful. A very cute room.
Stuff
Didn't have milk to to go with cereal. Its 175 years old so every step makes a noise.
Very neat and historic place . Great hospitality . I will definitely come back
All excellent ! Great breakfasts. A+ in every area.
Charming location right outside of the city. Beautiful rooms. Excellent breakfast. The MOST wonderful hosts! Accommodating and incredibly warm. Do not miss the opportunity to treat yourself at this magical inn.
Quaint Bed and Breakfast
I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast. My original hotel was an hour away and still did not have power from the recent hurricane. The Wicker room was the last room in the entire greater Tallahassee area and so I booked it. The house is quite old and from the 1800's but very well kept. The rooms each have a "feel" to them. The innkeepers are very pleasant and accommodating and will take care of you. I had a home cooked breakfast that blows away anything I eat on a daily basis. There was no internet or TV when I was there due to the hurricane but that's not their fault. There is a fridge with waters and beer if you like during your stay. Overall, this was a cozy place to spend the night and the breakfast was phenomenal.
Ripped off in the middle of Hurricane Michael
This was, i hope, an exception. We had a Hurricane, yet this B&B had a room available? Must have a good generator, i thought. I was a no show on the night of Friday Oct. 12. because I spent the night at our hospital helping perform surgeries. I called Oct. 13th to try and cancel. I received a phone call from New York from a Mr. Garcia, who said " No refund, i could have sold it to Electric workers. I arrived at the hotel, NO POWER. And if the place were full of out of town workers I don't think all of the doors of the hotel would be open. So, I have spoken with your representative, Mr Garcia refused to offer any refund, Hotels.com kindly offered a coupon for $100. Thank you. The Georgian hotel is actually nice, I think the Hoteliers Jon and Beck could be nice, if not under the auspices of Mr. Garcia, New Yorker. David D. Meade Tallahassee, Fl.
The Allison House is lovely and the hosts are very accommodating. The area leaves a bit to be desired since there's not much to do, there's little to no shopping, and low end fast food restaurants to eat in.
charming and quaint bed & breakfast
My brother, sister and I stayed at the charming and quaint Allison bed & breakfast for one night while on our trip to Quincy for family tree research. We each had our own room with a unique experience. The house was built in the 1840’s and took us back to the time our ancestors lived in Quincy but with modern conveniences. The host’s John and Bek met us in the hotel lobby and were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast exceeded all of our expectations with coffee, fresh squeezed juice, fruit, omelets, etc. In all, we were very happy with the stay and definitely think it is worth the money. Will stay again when visiting Quincy or near it. The people of Quincy, Gretna and Havana were also very friendly and helpful in finding historical information about our ancestors.
Quiet bed and breakfast
Great quiet place. Very nice people.
Comfort, character, charm and convenience.
On a road trip of the Deep South, travelling up from Miami and chose the Allison House Inn because it was a little different. The property is a beautiful old house, built around 1843 as a single storey home which was amazingly raised in the early 1900's to create 2 storeys. Raised - not extended. The first floor was lifted to become the second floor!! We were a little disappointed that our host was not there when we arrived, but filled time with a stroll around the quaint town of Quincy and was greeted by Eileen upon our return. After a quick roundup of the history of the house (see above) we were shown to the Governors Room which was beautifully appointed, tastefully modernised but still full of character. The bathroom was a good size, the shower worked well and the usual amenities and supplies were all there. The bed was a large four poster, very high - with cute little steps provided should you need help climbing in. There are some shops and restaurants within easy walking distance and Stuart and Eileen provide a list of recommended attractions and restaurants. We ate at the nearby (3 km) Laredo Grill (Mexican) which was excellent. Breakfast is served at 8:30 am by Stuart and comprises a mixture of hot and cold foods, juice and tea / coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and soaked up a bit of history, character and charm. The "Certified" ghosts were nowhere to be seen and certainly did not go bump in the night.
Quant B&B
The experience was good... we would visit again... I would recommend that the bathrooms are swept and mopped after each quest
Game Weekend Sanctuary
Charming B&B with a number of themed rooms which you may try on various football weekends. Close enough to T Town for game day without getting ripped off by the hotels who double or triple their rates for game weekends. It is an easy drive on a 4 lane highway into Tallahassee. You get an excellent breakfast before you head out for the day.
Was absolutely wonderful !
In town but surprisingly quiet.
My husband and I weren't exactly sure where to park since there wasn't clear signs stating. So we took it upon ourselves to come in the back entrance which was really nice walking through the garden. The host was very pleasant and gave us a history lesson of the house. Our room was exactly like the pictures on their website. It was nice not having to share a bathroom, as some B&B do at the end of the hall. The little reading nook at the top of the stairs was just so inviting we had to sit for a spell.
historic hotel
1st.floor room was perfect.received a nice tour when we arrived.house was built in 1800s.breakfast was delicious both days we spent there.brandy available at night.will definitely be going back.
Very nice place
Upon our arrival we were greeted by Stuart. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We got a quick tour of the property and brief synopsis of the history of the home and previous owners. It is an older home with all the quirks of one. If you are expecting perfection, look elsewhere but you'll miss out on all the character this place has to offer. My husband and I loved it! I am so grateful we got to spend our 20th anniversary in this lovely place.
Quincy
we enjoyed the stay and the hosts. it is really a home away from home.
Great find for us. Sherry & biscotti were a nice touch.
Lovely historical B&B
We've enjoyed our experience at the Allison House several times. This is a lovely establishment with friendly and efficient hosts. The breakfast is excellent, and it's fun to meet other guests. The homemade granola is highly recommended, and they will even provide you the recipe if you're very sweet!
