Our stay was lovely. Excellent hotel
3rd stay in alila. Always love the service and environment of this hotel. Spacious room. Love the effort of the hotel to stay eco-friendly.
LOVELY HOTEL BUT HASSLE
My stay at Alila was a mix of satisfaction and disappointment. The hotel had a peaceful and beautiful ambience, creating a calming atmosphere. However, there were some major inconveniences. Upon arrival, there was no lobby at the ground floor, nor staff to assist. Feeling lost, I had to Google their number, and I was informed the lobby was on a high floor (43 or 44). I requested a bellboy for luggage assistance, but waited nearly 25 minutes before someone came. Check in and check out were smooth, and the room was lovely. However, accessing the room required changing elevators, which felt cumbersome. Additionally, the lifts were slow, with long waits, and parking wasnt free for guests. On a positive note, I liked the small pantry on each floor, offering free snacks and drinks. Would I return? Likely not, as the inconveniences outweighed the experience.
convenient for long stay but nor recommended for a short visit
Beautiful haven of peace. Very Zen.
Had a nice stay at the hotel. From check in to check out it was all smooth and they attended to our request with their best availability. Love the living room area amenities on each floor and could be better with more options
Hotel is as beautiful as in the pictures. nice deco. friendly staffs.
Good
Overall, we had a very comfortable stay at Alila. The staff was able to accede to my request for having a small slice of cake sent to my parents' room for their anniversary so that made their stay more meaningful. The rooms are on the top floors, and had excellent views! The rooms were also very generously spacious (we booked the basic room), and was a good respite to rest in after a day spent in busy KL. There are free snacks & coffee/tea all day at the lift lobby of your floor too. Generally, the rooms were well maintained and clean enough - however, some areas of the room were overlooked (vent above the shower area had collected dust, and the wall in the common bathroom area where the bathrobes were hung had water marks that have not been wiped down, fridge needed cleaning and the clothes cupboard had a musty smell too). There is no complimentary parking - although a flat fee is charged per day for multiple entries, and can be validated with a Touch and Go card. The breakfast spread was delicious, and had an ample selection of local food and international items. The staff at the restaurant were more than accommodating, and we had a very pleasant dining experience. The hotel, although located outside of the main KL city centre, remains accessible. It is connected by a linkbridge to a train station. The mamak food around the hotel is also a plus to checkout. We did not have time to experience the night life in Little India area, so will definitely come back for that.
All good, would be better if the TV has more english channels or the TV as Smart TV
Fantastic staff. Great architecture. The downstairs restaurant is excellent. My favorite hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Staff made early check in possible. Very friendly
Nothing special
Beautiful, architecturally interesting hotel on the edge of Little India. Cannot say enough about how excellent the staff is - so professional, helpful and welcoming.
I have stayed at Alila Bangsar multiple times, and the hotel interior never ceases to impress me. It is both beautiful and comfortable, providing a luxurious ambiance that makes each stay memorable. However, my most recent visit had a few hiccups that marred the experience. Firstly, the room curtains and the toilet sliding door in my room malfunctioned, both failing to close properly. This was quite inconvenient and unexpected, considering my previous positive experiences here. Additionally, there was some confusion with the room arrangements. I had booked two rooms with single beds, but upon arrival, one room had a King and a Queen bed instead. The other room, which was supposed to have a King bed and a sofa bed, ended up being quite similar to the first room configuration. It felt like all the rooms were almost identical despite the different descriptions. Another point worth mentioning is the surrounding environment of the hotel. The area gives off a somewhat dodgy, low-end vibe with very narrow roads, which can be off-putting. Despite these issues, the hotel itself remains a haven of comfort and beauty. The service is excellent, consistently meeting high standards. If the room and environmental issues can be addressed, Alila Bangsar would undoubtedly provide an impeccable stay.
Clean and spacious room
Property itself is awesome but location is not as ideal. Need to take transport out to visit places. No mall nearby.
Easy access from the LRT and amazing views from every room. Excellent variety for breakfast. Highly reccomend
Little India
Situated in little India so not as luxurious of an area as other parts of KL. Felt less safe walking around these parts. Overall a decent stay. Breakfast options ok.
Could hear next door shower. Annoying after midnight. Facilities in room/mini food station and pool excellent. Very convenient for train network.
Clean & nice deco hotel
Nice big and clean room. Near to good places but next to highway so can't really walk. Overall it was not bad.
Beatiful Hotel but not in its details
Beautiful hotel and room, great for honey mooners or couples. There's no locks on the toilets so not for staying with children. Michelin 2024 french restaurant which I heard is fantastic. Carpark is 5 RM per hour. Located near a LRT, one stop from Sentral LRT. You could take the LRT to Bukit Bintang. Free flow of cassava chips, muruku and nuts, flower tea and coffee at each level of room. However, I saw a tiny just born baby cockroach on my last night which I killed. Felt the toilet sink's drainage was a bit slow. And the toilet bowl smelt a bit of urine after the first day. So I suspect the flushing and design of it could be better. Shampoo, soap, conditioner and body lotion smelt like wild flowers, very lovely. The toilet smelt of thyme when we first arrived. The bed was very comfortable. Air con was adjustable up or down. Would I stay here again? Possibly. There's both pros and cons..
We had a 3 night stay here in May and would recommend. We booked a twin room which had 2 huge beds and a great bathroom. Room was cleaned well each day. Swimming pool area is a great place to relax. It’s not the biggest pool but still lovely for a dip, and there are great views across the city. Downstairs restaurant, Botanica and Co serves nice food, spring chicken is recommended. It’s only 6 stops to the city centre on the team which is directly opposite the hotel. Would I stay here again? Yes.
Very nice aesthethic hotel. I love the amenities and the service. Only on the last day I saw a small cockroach near the window.
Close to the LRT station Nice breakfast Staff are friendly and helpful :)
Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. I had requested for twin beds but got a king bed, it's not a big issue but I wasn't informed. Front desk also did not inform us at check-in about free shuttle service to nearby malls. Only found out during check-out when I overheard them informing another guest.
The hotel was exceptional. The lobby and pool views are amazing and the room was very large and well designed. We really enjoyed our stay.
Love the architecture.
First class hotel which located close to transportation and a few steps from little India. Although major attractions are not within walking distance, you can take the LRT to anywhere in Kuala Lumpur. Hotel rooms are spacious, very modern and nicely priced a definite plus for any holiday traveler. One draw back is the location being a bit away from other main attractions in KL. LRT close by definitely helps to get to places. Overall a highly recommended hitel
The hotel sits on the top of a 40 story hi rise. The hotel occupies the top 8-10 floors. The views are remarkable and our room had a vaulted siting room window side. Staff were very attentive and al always greeted us cheerfully. It is a very inexpensive Grab ride to many districts that have shopping dining and much more.
Garden hotel with best view
First time stay in this new hotel and amaze about the view, design, vibes of the hotel. Like the design of lobby, room and its diff from traditional. However TV lack of choices and bad reception. Door to separate toilet and shower point can’t close properly. Hope they will be improved.
Great 5-star modern hotel at an affordable price
Alila is located right next to the metro station and is connected via a bridge so it is great for visitors who are not driving. All the areas are nicely designed and new. The room is of decent size and we had a lot of space to open three medium-large luggages. My parents took the bed and I took the sofa bed which was still very comfy. Wall socket was available next to the sofa bed too which was a plus. The design of the room is very modern which I absolutely adore, just that none of the bathroom doors can be locked and there is a gap in the door that's facing the bed which is not the best design I guess. The mini fridge is not cold and is kinda lame with the wonky shelf, but that's alright. Netflix is not available on their tv, can only connect via HDMI from your laptop to access it. These are just small things not a big problem. I think Alila has a great price point for the quality they're offering. I highly recommend it.
Amazing view
Splendid view at high floor room. Room is very spacious with new ID. Eco-friendly. Very convenient to downtown tourist areas. Hotel is just near LRT . No non-slippery mat at shower area for elderly.
The hotel is beautiful - the amenities are awesome including the pool, access to tea and coffe and snack bar and the staff were wonderful. My only complaint is that the hotel itself is difficult to get to if you want to walk around. The entrance requires a bridge and a walk up to get to the other side of the street and then you have to go up to the 41st floor to then go back down to your room on either the 35th or 40th floor. The process got a bit annoying.
Under 10mins drive to mid valley mall. Good boutique hotel. Free coffee was horrible, breakfast buffet selection limited. Service was pleasant. Carpark is very tight.
Clean. A great location. Nice and helpful staff
To review this stay I have to split into 2 parts. 1) Look and feel ( physical ) 2) Tone and manner ( intangible ) 1) The property is indeed very cosy and gives an earthy vibe.It put my family and me at ease upon entering. From level 1 to level 41, we felt comfortable and relaxed.Upon collecting our key cards, and proceeding to our room on level 37, we felt welcome and at ease in our surroundings. The room was superb. It's one of those rooms where you actually look forward to spending time in .I have travelled for work and leusure , and by far this property is 1 of the better ones. The swimming pool was located such that it was outdoors but shielded by the property itself . The surrounding estate is nothing to shout about, but it's a good quiet neighbourhood. 2) The staff are warm and friendly. Many a time when I check into a hotel and instructions are given, they seem authoritative. Not here. The staff ( young gentleman )who explained things to me, for my check in on 3 December about 6pm, he seemed really happy to be there. He gave the vibe of actually wanting us to have a good and relaxed time here. So did the welcoming party at botanico for bfast ! Happy staff means management are doing things right ! The cleaners were polite and very friendly. Overall this is 1 of the best experiences I've had overseas so far. As a traveler I value staff interactions more than what the property can offer. Alila Bangsar has exceeded my expectations for an exceptional hotel stay. Good job !
This hotel is located right next to Bangsar station. From here 1 stop to KL Sentra or Midvalley Mega mall. Convenient with food options in the area. Hotel itself is pretty new and clean. Staffs are friendly. Gym and swimming pool are great. Bonus point gives to the coffee machine and snack station near the lifts on every level. The only part that needs improve is the lift. Only 1 lift was working during the time we stayed. So the wait is bit long from reception to ground lobby.
Great but the neighborhood was a little rough
It felt really luxurious, the room was very clean and spacious! We really enjoyed our stay!
Best experience in bangsar
Modern oasis in a very busy city. Convenient especially with LRT or Grab. Just a beautiful place. Great for business travel. The local restaurants within walking distance are excellent: ranging from high end to very inexpensive street ones.
The mood is relaxing
Excellent, comfortable, clean place and well upto Hyatt standards. The only demerit is it is a bit further out from downtown and the neighborhood is still underdeveloped.
Very clean and very comfortable.
Very clean and very comfortable.
The hotel has a great location for access in to KL, with a bridge link to Bangsar station. The rooms have great views given there location at the top of the building.
The location seems a little off. The surrounding other than the hotel felts quite out of place. Service was not up to standard, food choices was limited and the lift was too slow to be serving so many levels. The toilet was smelly the whole time even when it’s vacant in the room. Almost fell while walking to the fitness room as the flooring was not balanced.
In construction
Wonderful stay
Fantastic hotel with a lot of space in the room. Great for business trips.
AMAZING service
Amazing service in many ways from reception ex give lots of travel help and 24 hrs service for every level has amazing coffee machine and first time under our two weeks in Malaysia hotel offer a ironboard for Tall non Asian so it was enjoyment to do some iron. Breakfast in ground floor with different types (Wester-Malay-Chinese)-with great service - only strange loud music in the morning.
Room was really nice and spacious. The only thing that is holding it back from being excellent is the location of the hotel (not a whole lot in the immediate vicinity) plus a few service bits, like not having our room available for the check in time.
Exceptional architecture, great vibe, pleasant stay
A gem in Bangsar, Brickfields
Spacious room. Decent amenities in view of size of hotel. Great restaurant. Great location with Bangsar LRT station right next to it
Area for work with desk did not have air vents - odd weakness in the otherwise very nice room. Made the sofa and desk area a little warm in the afternoon.
Alila Excellent
Pleasant experience. The free flow of coffee and snack bar outside is a bonus.
Nice hotel but inconvenient
Nice hotel. But the bottled water and glasses isn’t clean enough for drinking. Moreover is quite inconvenient with 2 sets of lifts, one to the reception and the other to the ground level.
Location
Big room and nice ambient
In order to get to your room , you need to take 3 separate elevators. This would be difficult if you are traveling with kids /luggages. No valet service provided The overall service is not good. For a 5 stars hotel i would expect more. They did not change my towel neither they didnt make up the room despite us telling them to do so. Pool was okay. Nothing special. Bad sewage smell in the room. Will i come back again ? NO.
Awesome!
Great hotel! Clean and nice environment. My family has been staying at this hotel on our past few trips to KL and Alila has not disappoint! Clean rooms, clean baths. Very comfortable. Love it!
Great Hotel
Pleasant Stay. Very grand and nice interior.
A whole lot of inconvenience and annoyance
I booked this place for a birthday celebration. Before we arrived, I already booked birthday cake to be sent into the room. However, the driver was informed by the guard that there is not concierge and they could n out send the cake to my room. Therefore, I had to arrange a pick up with the driver. I had reported this incidence to the hotel, they told me that it was a misunderstanding, and they would investigate, however, I still have not heard from them even though I have already checked out. When we came to the hotel to check in around 4:30pm, we were told that the room was not ready because the hotel was fully booked the night before. There were a lot of other guests waiting for their room too. We decided to go have a coffee, by the time we came back at 5:30pm, our room was still not ready. This was really annoying as their standard check in time was 3:00pm, and there was not communication being sent out beforehand managing our check-in time. Furthermore, there was no effort being made to make us feel better for the long wait for check-in. And we only got our room at 5:45pm. Other than that, the hotel also charges rm5 per car park exit, which I think is quite absurd. If you come here to explore the city with cars, this is something that you want to take into the account since you might be coming in and out of the car parks a few times.
Amazing hotel
Amazing stay here, staffs are friendly, hotel is clean and cozy, free flow coffee. You can take photos at every corners of this hotel.
The only thing was the lifts to get to your rooms. Too many and too much time. And one lift in the lobby wasn't working the day I checked in. 3 days later when i checked out, it still wasn't working. It's a major issue to not have one if the lobby lifts not working properly but clearly no one took it seriously.
Lovely stay with thoughful details in the room
The room is as beautiful in real life as it looks in pictures! Only thing that could have made it even better is the smell of the room. It has a slightly damp smell...We love the fact that the hotel has done away with disposables for toiletries and drinking water. Kudos! The coffee machine on each floor’s lift lis also a bonus. Much appreciated!
Parking is chargeable at RM5 every exit and during my stay period: gym and swimming pool is close.
The best staycation I had. Alila was the best
Nice room and cosy. Difficult to get to room from Carpark, need to take 3 different lifts.
The process of getting to the room from the Carpark is too tedious. Need to take 3 different lifts. Other than that, the rooms are splendid, spacious and cost.
Need to be improve in the room.
I was staying in the studio room. But eventually there is no toothbrush and razor in the bathroom. The toothbrush and razor is upon request.razor cream is just an empty without a cream inside.Tv is huge and big for the room but very selected channel and the usb cannot be operate once u plug in.Please look into the matters.
Overall was excellent interm of architecture design
Staff were helpful and service was good Poor signage at entrance Concierge should be available always at the entrance Breakfast should have more variety Not good for shopping and nearby eateries
Overall was ok. The hotel located in a not-so-
Fantastic
After being screwed over by a fake booking via another online service we found Alila. Everything about our stay was 11/10. Staff, food, comfort and a shower that was worth every penny.
This place is worth the trip to KL
Fantastic place. 2nd time we stay here as a family of 4 with 2 small kids. The kids slept in the bed with us. Fantastic and spacious rooms. Lovely ambience. Super staff and last but not least. Breakfast to die for. Would nit consider staying anywhere else in KL.
Lovely hotel with great staff
The staff in this hotel are excellent, very friendly and can’t do enough for you. Although fairly remote from KL centre it is connected by a bridge to the LRT and a quick and cheap ride into town.
The room does not been clean properly. stain and dusty. there is a problem with wifi connection and room plug had no electricity. call the front desk. they doest send any technician to the room even an apology next day during check out. overall disappointed with my stay.
Room was dirty begin with. there is a lot of stains. there is also some old announcement notice in the room which mean the room doesn't been cleanout for long. I did complain but nothing was done.
Great Hotel.
Beautify, modern and spacious hotel. The only slightly annoying thing was having to get a lift to the lobby and then a separate lift to the room. The room was very spacious, with a beautify bathroom and a comfortable, large bed. Snacks and coffee is available in the hallway and the pool is absolutely stunning. I asked for a taxi from reception and they booked me one that 1) wasn't metered 2) cash only 3) had no change. This meant my 1km taxi to KL Sentral cost 70RM vs a grab which is 6RM. I was very disappointed with this part of the service and when ordering a taxi, expected a taxi. It made me feel as if the person on the desk called a friend....
Kindly answer our questions All staffs are willing to help us cleanliness comfort hospitality facilities location is close to the train station actually connected so no need to get wet in the rain All perfect I’d like to stay here again if i have an opportunity to visit Kuala Lumpur next time Thank you
Alila Bangsar was great! I loved the spacious rooms and modern design. There was plenty of natural light and the staff were helpful to answer questions and help with certain request. It's a quiet area and not much around but using grab or if you hire a car, it's quite convenient. The hotel allows you to park for just RM 5 per exit and the car park is clean, well lit and nice!
Paid for a balcony room, the balcony was locked on arrival. Asked at reception to unlock, had to sign a liability form. upon returning to the room two hours later the balcony door was still locked.
First impression was good but it diminished quickly. Got into the room & spotted some flies. (Mind you these aren’t house flies, they are those you would normally found near faeces.) Killed & got rid of 5 within 15mins stepping into the room, thought that’s all. Found a lot more sticking around the curtains and wall near the study table. Reported the front desk. Took them at least 20mins to send the cleaning team to check the room. They sent in the pest control team too. I was told it would take 10mins and was asked to wait at the reception area. Waited 30mins at the reception area, I had to walk up to ask for status update, only then the front desk called to check and advised it was ok for me to go back to my room. By the way, while waiting, no one came to ask or check on me - the front desk staffs saw me walking past them and chatted softly among themselves. Got back to my room, was overwhelmed by some weird smell (suspect it was from the pest control). Did a quick walk around the room to check, to my disappointment - found some flies in the shower area. Reported to the front desk. Was told again that they will send someone over..... (a lot more unpleasant experience with the slow response from the staffs; if to put them all down, I could write a book) Eventually they offered to change the room, not until I told them that I want to cancel and check out. 5hrs later they sent a plate of fruits with apology note. All in all - slow response & insensitive to clients’ needs
I loved it
It was a rly nice stay, amazing hotel!
The stay was overall great, but the staff from the rofttop bar took a wrong order and I needed to overpay.
Amazing hotel, loved everything about this place. Breakfast was amazing, rooms were big and the pool was incredible
The surrounding is not attractive at all. There is nothing to walk by the hotel.
Food is excellent
The restaurants and the food are really a major surprise. The food is very well designed and modern. The service are very genuine and the team are young and energetic. The staff Regie in the restaurant of breakfast catering is very dedicated to the hotel and provides a good image to the hotel. I really like the fashionable food and the overall environmental friendly theme of the interior of the room.
I’ll be back!
Slick & contemporary, stylish yet zen. Love the natural light in this property. Room is so comfy & cosy that i almost can’t get out from it! Great restaurants, facilities, amenities & service! Staffs are very helpful but I think front desk is understaffed.
Fabulous hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful – Malaysian hospitality at its best. The room was very chic, properly styled and true to the Alila brand. Massive king-sized bed and plenty of amenities were available as well.
Nice decor and ambience. Spacious rooms. Convenient location
Finally a hotel that got it right. Excellent! This hotel made me feel at home from day one. I have to thank the staff for working tirelessly to make the hotel stand out. Although it’s slightly off the beaten path, the bridge link to the monorail made it a breeze to connect to all the main sights in the city. I would definitely return.
Great Hotel experience
Experienced the most amazing hospitality. The restaurant on the 41st floor has the most amazing view and the meal I had there was just out of this world. Love the coffee bar at the lift lobby, great great great experience of all 5 senses
the design of the hotel was beautiful. Staff and food services within the hotel was excellent.
Great as a stop over , part of the building looking worn , breakfast excellent
Rooms were clean and facilities/amenities were well equipped.
Staff were outstanding hotel location for us was exactly what we wanted just 4 kms or so from KL center 10 minutes in by train. Only 2 lifts made it a bit slow getting from ground floor the lobby as it is located on 41st floor and then you need to change lifts to get down to 35th to 39th floors to your room. Rooms cleaned daily
Great space in a great location! Love the vibes here!

Beautiful Zen Hotel with friendly staff
Our family had another wonderful stay at Alila! This was our third visit, and it continued to exceed our expectations. The staff is welcoming, professional, and provides outstanding service. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel has plenty of common breakout areas for us to relax. Alila took great care of us, making our stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!
