Review
We had no heat. Everytime we adjusted the thermostat we would get heat for 2 minutes and then it would drop again. Did this 3 tumes then left cause we were freezing
clean and comfortable, little more dining options
The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was good. It was a short walk to the casino. We are planning another stay for this summer
Totally my fault for not noticing that this is a smoking room but who allows smoking anymore. Room smelled terrible!
Very good
We didn’t like that we thought we were booked in the motel in the casino.
I canceled my reservation. I never stayed never got refund.
Spaciousness
The staff elevated our experience at this modest property to a real getaway!
Very comfortable and warm feeling stay
Service at the buffet was terrible. Never received such awful attitude from waitstaff until here! We won’t be back. Bye
Outside of my room was a dehumidifier and the scent of dampness in the room rug, which in turn leaves room for mold in the air as one sleeps.
You made us switch locations. Not happy at all
It is clear the ownership is not invested in the property. They are taking advantage of the lack of options in the area and providing a low quality stay that is just enough for you not to leave. The same potato chip on the floor of the elevator for 5 days. The halls and elevator or so warm that you sweat. The room A/C, even with outdoor temperature below 40 was not enough to keep the room cool. Woke up sweating and had to change rooms. Only reason that room got cold was it was small enough and set to 60, the lowest it would go.
Expedia posting lead me to believe I was staying at the property attached to the casino however upon arrival it was at the property not attached to the casino as I have difficulty walking it was very disappointing.
It was ok. Beds werent that comfy. Asain beetles all over the place in rooms and hallways. Breakfast wasnt the best.
Great place for a night away! Everyone who worked here in the hotel and casino was very nice.
Lacking.
So we got a room with a whirlpool tub so we could relax and help with our backs. The room was nice, not quite like the pictures but the water was barely lukewarm. Not good for the whirlpool. By the time I got out I was shivering. While in the whirlpool I noticed a round bar of soap left over from the previous guest that was not cleaned up. The bathtub in the bathroom had shavings from leg hair in the soap dish area. Door slamming most of the night kept waking us up. Upon check out the woman was quite abrupt. Didn’t ask us how our stay was. I would have told her about the issues but felt as if I was interrupting her. She asked if I needed a receipt and when I told her no she told me to have a nice day. I was dismissed. The girl checking us in was quite lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Overall the stay was below average for the rate we paid. Whirlpool was rendered useless due to no hot water. The stay was just not what I had hoped it would be for bringing my husband to my home town.
This was our second time staying at this hotel, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our previous experience. They charge a $12 “resort fee,” but this is far from a resort. It’s just a standard hotel with typical amenities, and the fee seems unnecessary. During our stay, the hotel was fully booked, which made it difficult to enjoy the pool and hot tub due to the overcrowding. The breakfast was another disappointment—one staff member was struggling to keep up with demand, and most of the food items, cups, plasticware, plates, etc were empty with no sense of urgency to refill them. The front desk staff was friendly during check-in, but not as pleasant during checkout. Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel, especially given the poor experience and unjustified resort fee.
Clean. Gym and pool a plus.
When I booked on Expedia app, it lead me to believe that I was staying at the main building, with the casino . It showed the different rooms , ones at the Players Inn (which is a separate building from casino) and then others rooms without the Players Inn before the room description, so I presumed it was the main hotel inside the casino. It was NOT, That’s False advertising !!! Not happy at all with Expedia!! Hotel is overall good , it’s clean, in process of upgrading and friendly staff.
Players Inn was quite. Also was nice to see them updating property. I will stay again also I get rewards if u gamble
It was under construction, there was an hour line up to check in and at breakfast it was so busy you couldn’t get around the room. It is way overpriced for what it is
Could have been better
Very difficult for person with walking disability to traverse this place. Long distance from oom to entrance, restaurant or casino. Otherwise food good and place nice
Near casino
Very happy that it is non smoking. Everywhere, it is spoteless: the casino, the machines, the carpets, the air, wow ! Thank you for it !
Nice rooms & staff Weak breakfast, no carts available for luggage Ice machine out of order
Wonderful stay at this resort.
Unfortunately because of new management everything went to regret from being here some of the staff was racist but I didn’t care the food was given in dinning area where as before you could take it to your room and the pool and sauna was close which made it such a horrible place to stay let alone the machines are made for you to lose but other than that it was a great stay
No outdoor sitting.
Very nice stay, our room was renovated & clean great water pressure, hot water :)
I booked and paid for Casino resort. But turned out they sent me to stay at Player Inn. This is not what I paid for. It is a scam. Hotel quality is not the same. It is way over priced staying for the Player Inn. Shower is not working probably, ceiling is not sound proof. Upstair guest jumping and hoping at 1am for 2 hours. Door does not close probably. The whole unit is out of maintenance.
The construction is still a bit of a pain. Signage isn't great and there was no ice machine on the 2nd floor.
Rough stay
Thought this was for the actual casino. Was for a hotel next to the casino. Room smelled like smoke. Check in at 4pm was strictly enforced. Breakfast required tickets but staff disnt know ehat to do with them. Wasnt the worst room but definitely no where near the best room either.
Very clean just needs updating. Carpets in rooms especially.
Our room had the dirtiest broken down smelly armchair and they would not remove it from the room. It was horribly smelly.
It was a little to cold everywhere I went.
The Players Inn is currently under renovation, but for the most part you would know it. There was no construction disturbance at all The rooms were a little dated (hence the renovations), but they were clean and well kept.
I recently stayed at the Players Inn and had a pleasant experience overall. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the casino. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out smooth.
Players was absolutely disgusting. Floors are dirty. Clock wasn’t working just not great experience the casino itself and the resort at the casino is beautiful, but they were sold out so I had to go to the players and which used to be the comfort in. I do not recommend staying in that part.
Love all the cut outs along the road ...front desk people have to know more about informing people on the OUTSIDE shows how to get there properly!
Perfect for a weekend stay!
Misleading and Gross
#1 We thought we made the reservation for the main hotel at the casino. The website pics were misleading bc it was from the main hotel. #2. There was a pubic hair in the bed so that was gross and the bed was not changed! #3. The continental breakfast was nasty! Eggs were not done and the sausage was microwaved and gray! #4 The room had a funky odor. The staff was friendly.
The distance from the hotel to the casino. The loudness of slamming doirs and people talking in the halls
Floors felt wet, key cards didn't work 3x's.
I needed to switch my room and the lady at the front desk was helpful with my request
Lacked a coffee machine
Enjoyed my days there just wish they had a coffee machine in the room. The rooms are clean and tidy and housekeeping comes in daily. Once inside the room the noise from the hallways disappears which is awesome for sleeping.
Nothing to add
Everything was perfect! Rooms newly renovated and beautiful and the customer service was top notch. Everyone we encountered was so friendly, nice and attentive to our needs. Thank you!!!!
OK
Nothing special about this place .
Fun and entertaining
The only nice thing was the staff in the restaurant. Took 3 tries to get our room key straightened out
It is under construction and noisy. The room was clean, but in a state of disrepair. The curtains were torn up, the shades didn’t work properly.
The hotel was clean and quiet. We enjoyed dinner in the steak house and spent some time (and money) in the casino.
Overall it was a good stay and we had a lot of fun, but we got misled while booking our room. I was under the impression that all the rooms available for booking was for one hotel that is connected to the casino. But it turns out there’s two seperate hotels and I guess we accidentally booked one for the other hotel. I feel like each hotel should have their own seperate booking options. That means we didn’t have direct access to the casino, and zero access to the pool and breakfast that were showed in the pictures. Just wanted to warn future customers booking that any room with Players Inn is in a seperate hotel entirely.
The Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort is a family friendly top notch resort. There are so many fun things to do, including enjoying great food at restaurants onsite too! I have to thank the head of security too for going above my expectations to make my safe and departure a pleasant one. The staff are great and I will return to win again. Five stars is not enough, the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort deserves 10 stars.
Large bathroom comfy king bed, great tv , clean, great food, many slots although we did not win. Had a great time
We thought we were staying at the actual casino for the night but when we checked we were advised that the room booked was at a different location that was more like a comfort inn than the actual casino. Casino staff were not willing to help and were rude.
It was nice
This hotel is amazing the staff is great and friendly I recommend this place for all to visit
room was dirty
Not very impressed
We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. I booked a room at the Casino hotel only to find out that it was not the casino hotel but the one next to it. We had already left our car with the Valet service only to find out when trying to check in that we were at the affiliate hotel next door. We checked at night so I only noticed the following morning that the bed comforter was stained and the bathroom wall appeared to have blood splatter on the wall. see photos below. We were also disappointed with one of the restaurants on site. As per the waitress, there were no Gluten free options. We were also quite concerned that when paying for our meal, they actually took our credit cards away from the table to process them elsewhere. Don't all facilities have wireless credit card machines. On a positive note the staff were very friendly
Convenient and nice room, thanks!
Really convenient spot and we recommend the yummy dinner buffet at the casino, just a short walk across the parking lot. Very convenient to be able to stay here on solar eclipse weekend! It seems they’re doing some work on the hotel, but the room itself was clean and well kept. A good value!
The property is well overpriced for the condition. Stairwells did not look like it even had been swept in months, torn curtains, wallpaper peeling off the walls, key card didn't work and had to go get others twice. Free breakfast somewhat ok but we ended up being ill on our way home. Was also charged a resort fee, this is NO resort. I wouldn't recommend unless something drastically changed.
The casino was great and employees nice. The Players Inn was okay, just tired looking; needs upgraded. Stayed in the main hotel a month ago and it was much better.
The room was clean and comfortable, though the mattresses could probably be updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Be aware that the actual casino is a short walk from this hotel.
TV
The tv stations didn't match the guide, and several stations came in garbled
Great stay
Great non smoking property
Great hotel! Very clean and modern. I think the whole casino was non-smoking and it felt so good to be able to breathe! Will definitely stay at again.
The people were nice. The hotel 'Players Club' is across the parking lot from the casino & main hotel. The Players Club is trying and parts have been replaced but it comes up short. The chairs and sofa are stained, the hard surfaces were not clean, and the paint is worn. Disappointing to have paid extra.
Very disappointing experience. Thought I had booked to stay at the Mohawk Akwesasne Casino main hotel as there were two listings on the Expedia website - one for the main hotel and one for the Player's Casino hotel, a separate building, both at the same rate. I selected the main hotel, however missed the fine print on the reservation confirmation that the booking was for the Player's Casino hotel, across the parking lot and a bit of a walk. My guest has mobility issues so walking any distance is a concern. Also, the hotel is quite run down and undergoing renovations so noisy. Felt very much like "bait and switch" advertising. If you are going to book this hotel, look closely at your confirmation so you don't make the same mistake I did. There is also an additional $12 fee charged on-site. Staff were very unaccommodating. We will not be back.
Very dated!Carpets are nasty
The hotel that Expedia showed me in the photo was different from the hotel I stayed in and it was very bad and dirty.
Very disappointed 😞
My stay was completely marred by the fact that Akwesasne Mohawk Casino hotel canceled our reservation at the actual casino and made us stay at their new Players Inn next door. It might have been different if they offered me some type of compensation or rational reasoning as to why my reservation had been moved. But they said- “oh well you booked online so we can’t guarantee your room. You should have called us.” Really? The room I prepaid in full? Hmmm…. At any rate, what was supposed to be a nice weekend away visiting family turned out to be very disappointing. Do better Akwesasne Mohawk Casino!!
Nice clean place
Casino is nice
This room description was king deluxe- including a sofa with pull out bed. This was not included. Imagine having to sleep on the floor!
My confirmation said that we would be staying at the actual casino resort but when we got there, stood in line to check in we found out we had to stay at the Players Inn (used to be the Comfort Inn). Which is a short walk, not a big deal but was surprised to find that out considering we booked at the Casino hotel and it said that on the confirmation.
Older property, adjacent to the Casino, well maintained, room was clean & quiet.
Quick easy to navigate nice help
Exceptional service
We arrived and the room i booked with you was not available. I booked a king with pull out sofa bed and it was not available.. they offered us a rollaway cot. We had no choice as we traveled 3 HOURS to get here. It should not have been available on your site as that type of room...a king deluxe with pullout sofa arent available currently as there is construction underway.
Clean
Easy parking
Definitely do not recommend staying in the players club rooms, not even close to what the pictures show. The main hotel in the casino was absolutely wonderful, the shower is glass walk-in so enough room for two! Games were fun so much fun. Staff is very friendly and helpful ESPECIALLY the front desk supervisor! They even have areas for smokers to stay warm. I can’t wait to go back!
Nice clean rooms, clean casino with friendly and helpful staff. Its only 30 min from a multitude of things to do.
Stayed here several times. It is nice and
Bad representation
We chose the room based on the picture shown and it wasn’t what we ended up with because we booked a King Deluxe Plus but the picture for that room showed a Jr Suite. We were very disappointed.
Great place
