Smelly
We arrived at midnight and stayed until the following day. The front desk staff were excellent and very helpful. Unfortunately, our room was not good. The smell of stale cigarette smoke and mould permeated the whole suite. It was so late that we didn't bother asking for a room change.
Bathroom tiles have black mould &glass and bottle wine on balcony when I walk into room & unfinished glass of drink!!! Air conditioning was very noisy…… By lifts, passageway and around room 236-238 was a real mouldy smell Yucky This hotel has detoriated!!! Disappointing
Restaurant was closed ( no explanation) Pool bar was closed ( no explanation) Apparently management has changed and rooms are no longer serviced daily ( was not informed on check in) If you are a gold member make sure to ask for your wine as it’s the only way you will get it.
Love the Adina beautiful rooms lovely and clean and surroundings just luscious.
A great venue and location for your stay in Darwin
Good location
A highly perfumed foyer with view to match
Very convenient to the waterfront area. Highly perfumed foyer gave a sense of cleanliness and elegance. Would recommend for choice of restaurants in the area plus 10 minute walk to main cbd
Reasonable stay, close to all amenities
Excellent location on the waterfront and walking distance to the convention centre. The property has only one restaurant but there are many on the waterfront, nearby. Not all rooms are equipped with laundry so be careful when selecting a room. The daily housekeeping was near 4 pm every day, which was a bit too late for me. Overall, reasonable stay.
Too pricey
I wouldn't stay here again. I expected a lot more for the cost of the room. The towels were clean BUT stained. I did not feel comfortable using them and it doesn't take make to make sure white towels are stain free. The bathroom shower screen leaked. It needed some silicon. It would be dangerous if someone fell against it. The towel rail was not level and it came apart if touched too hard. The good points. The room was large. The bed large and comfortable. Close to the waterfront. Good restaurants close by.
At the waterfront close to restaurant, water, conversation centre
The hotel staff where lovely, but every night at 130-1100 we where woken to legs being dropped and moved.
Great location. Lots of dining options nearby. Apartment was a good size, but a little rundown. Whole property smells musty, like wet carpet! Balcony was tiny and too small to sit on. Our apartment was directly above the pub. This was no issue. Could not hear any music or noise when trying to sleep
Love the location and the nightlife around the hotel. Strolling around the harbor at night in front of the hotel was very relaxing also.
Great area
Great hospitality, location and funpark
Great spot for families
Handy spot on the waterfront. Our first room was not great so we upgraded paying more as it was quite dismal.
Weekend Escape
Disappointed with the hotel Was not recognised as a Gold member so no benefits offered !! They tried to give us a twin room and then after refusing we got a “one bedroom” apartment but looking at the room configuration on line it was not the apartment we had booked or that was shown, we ended up having to stay in that room as hotel booked out! Overall the hotel in a great location, room was clean and comfortable
A really nice hotel on a great spot on the waterfront.
Excellent location!
Beautiful place and the staff are so nice and polite especially the gentleman who checked me in
Great area to stay, room over valued for what you get. Parking swipe did not work was stuck at the boom gate.
Excellent all round.
This was our fourth apartment hotel stay during our trip to Australia and the best by some distance. Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. Oh, and the location is pretty good as well.
Views and comfort
Decks not private
Ideal location in the waterfront precinct, many options for food and not too far from Darwin cbd
I loved staying at Adina Darwin waterfront - it was very close to the convention centre where I attended a conference and there was a bridge to the city park area - very convenient. The room service via the restaurant was great. I would definitely stay again.
Location and comfort - had everything I needed at my fingertips.
The lovely smell as you walked in and friendly staff
ABSOLUTE PERFECT location!!! Right on the water front, this is perfect for families.
Standard Darwin hotel
Great location
The hotel was in a good location, staff were nice. Had repair issues in my room which they attended to quickly. All was good except the breakfast needed improvement. It filled your stomach, but wasn't brilliant.
The location of the property is convenient for water activities and restaurants. The staff are pleasant and the pool was enjoyable. We requested a 1 bedroom and were allocated the equivalent of a bedsit - not what was advertised in the booking. The cleanliness of our room was very poor, with food debris on the cupboards and dishwasher door, sticky finger marks over the dining table, furniture and kitchen divider. The mattress on the sofa bed was stained extensively.
Disappointing
A disappointing stay. Our 'apartment' was ridiculously small as it is wrapped around a stairwell. Looking into one two doors down saw a fairly spacious real 'apartment' at the same price. There were plenty of room available - apartment 154 should only be used as a last resort.
Nice clean property. Great location. Prompt housekeeping with clean towels etc. polite staff. Didn’t paid over the top pricing at my time of booking. Do wish that had ceiling fans, but not a huge deal. Couldn’t complain about much really. We will be back, thanks adina :)
Great location great front house staff
Close to the waterfront and restaurants
best pick in darwin
great location speedy and good room service and food
Great location with many good food options
Lovely helpful staff Room beautiful Bed OMG so comfortable! Recommend Location perfect
Good location and room but smell of dampness not greatest.
Amazin amazing amazing. Perfect position. Great property. Thumbs up
Loved the experience
Loved the position. Could walk to dinner and relax with all the facilities close by
Waterfront Gem Accom
We stayed here first for 3 nights (personal) then H on Mitchell for next 3 nights (work). Definitely glad we had the opportunity to experience the waterfront at the Adina. Great vibe around the hotel, value for money, the best place to be in Darwin. Love the lagoon and wave pool. Hotel bed was comfortable. We did have a slight prob with the bedroom air-con but this was sorted pretty swiftly.
Close to the city centre and attractions. Hop on hop off bus outside front door
Take care when you book
Our favourite location in Darwin, overlooking the wharf, beach, park and wave pool, a quick ascent in the glass lift then short walk to town centre. Loved our waterview suite three years ago and decided to book the same again, even though the prices have ramped up hugely. As before, I booked through hotels.com, expecting to have the waterfront views pictured in my confirmation email. I was shocked to be directed to one of the few, perhaps the only, suite on the floor overlooking a busy street, shadowed by a sandstone cliff, and requested the one pictured on my confirmation. Having established that a waterview suite was available, I declined to pay for the upgrade to what I had booked. Management agreed but only because my confirmation stated that, as a hotels.com gold member, I was entitled to an upgrade if a room was free. The rest of our stay was uneventful, the suite was delightful, well equipped with everything we needed. Not sure if the problem was with Adina giving agency bookings a lower grade room, or with hotels.com not showing the range of rooms and their prices. If you can afford it, a waterview room at Adina Waterfront is a great place to stay in Darwin but take care with your booking.
The view around was brilliant.
Not so luxurious!
The hotel is ok but our room was cannot be classified as luxury although the price reflects their own internal rating!
Beautiful view over the waterfront area. Lovely room, very comfortable bed. Excellent overall.
Excellent location, friendly staff, next visit we will ask for a harbourside room....
Location, good facilities but tired
We stayed 1 night in an apartment. the apartment was well stocked, very comfortable bed but unfortunately don’t think i would stay again. The apartments are in need of refurbishment- the hotel flooring is carpet, it’s old, lifting and had a strong smell of mould particularly in our room.
Great position
Enjoyed the surroundings, great position, comfy beds
Great location for restaurants along both the harbour and the pier and close enough to walk into the CBD as well.
Area around the hotel had lots to do wave pool mini beach grassed area.Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Large spacious apartments good views
The room was advertised as a King with Ocean views. There was no way that you could see the ocean from the room allocated to us. We could see the artificial beach but impossible to see the ocean A touch misleading in the advertising of the room.
Good stay on waterfront
Good spot near the waterfront. Clean and comfortable for business trip.
Great staff, great service, great food, great location. Had a beautiful 3 night stay and will gladly come back again.
Excellent position
We enjoyed our two nights at Adina prior to catching the Ghan to Adelaide. The hotel is very well positioned in the Stokes Hill area, with considerable restaurants close by and swimming pools to choose from. It is an easy stroll into the Darwin city area.
Location was amazing. The apartment was very clean and in great condition. Lacking a few things in the kitchen but staff happily helped us out when we asked for anything. Overall I would definitely stay here again!
Location
Great location
Clean, quiet with friendly and efficient service
The hotel was well situated, overlooking the Darwin water front and adjacent plenty of shops and restaurants. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was a reasonable size. The kitchen was well equipped with good oven, microwave etc and bathroom quite large. All very clean. Very happy with our stay
Enjoyable stay
We had a really fun stay. The staff were endlessly kind and thoughtful. Great location.
Great location, good 1br apartment. Clean, a few items missing, but staff quick to sort out and provide. Pool area quiet great place to relax.
Location, location,location
We loved our stay and will return with family
2 Night get away
My wife and I had a enjoyable stay at the Adina. The convenience of the restaurants and bars and the waterfront made it a very enjoyable stay and just a stones throw away from the city. Will stay again.
great place to stay
As usual the Adina did not disappoint even during a 3 day snap lockdown. Always willing to help, cleanliness and COVID19 protocols were in place. Love staying here, despite the price. you cannot beat the surroundings. I never tire of the view.
Love it! Except pool temperature!
Love the apartment configuration, the location next to the lagoon and the festivities of Darwin. The manager and staff are all very friendly and helpful, appreciated that they remembered me from previous visit. Wish they’d heat the pool! Otherwise - perfect!
Great location on the waterfront. Close to the beach and great restaurants.
Hotel is brilliantly located in the heart of the waterfront. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks
Good but could be great.
The staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful BUT I requested a quiet location and was allocated a room on top of ‘The Precinct’ pub which blared the loudest music until 2am on Saturday night and just moderately loud the rest of the time. I like the location at Waterfront with easy access to the lagoon pool. The Adina pool is barely used because it’s in full shade and very cold and uninviting which is disappointing. I like the configuration of the one bedroom apartment which I’ve stayed at several times but it could be easily improved as the kitchen contains a hot plate and two small saucepans which are not useful. I wanted to fry some Halloumi cheese to have with Turkish bread but couldn’t even do that. A frypan and sandwhich press would be a cheap and practical fix to provide simple meal preparation considering we are paying a LOT to have the apartment style accomodation. Another small minded extra was charging $2 for laundry detergent when guests in the apartment are already spending extra $$$ for the luxury of a washing machine. This place could be GREAT with better thought and consideration for guest comfort but it needs more effort. I am returning on 11 August and have been assured I’ll get what I first requested; a quiet sleeping room. Also, as a GOLD member, I was supposed to receive a bottle of wine on check in, but had to phone and request it as it didn’t automatically arrive as expected.
Central location close to bars and restaurants Excellent views from hotel
Premier studio room
Stayed in the premier studio. Comfy big bed. Much larger than a typical hotel room. Didn't use the wifi. Location is awesome, so many good restaurants and swimming in the pool or at the waterfront. It was noisy till about 11pm on Saturday night other nights were quiet. Would recommend.
Great stay
Amazing hotel and location. Only issue was no king bed, but we just moved the beds together :) would definitely recommend.
Located on the waterfront loved the view from our room. Close to a variety of restaurants, wave pool and lagoon. Super comfortable beds.
Location was perfect. Walking distance to Restaurants & great views over water Park & Lagoon.
Lovely staff and room. Great location. A bit noisy and our room keys required a “magic touch” to get them to work. We didn’t try their restaurant or use their pool as it is nearly always shaded.
Excellent location in Darwin and great accommodation.
Great location, nice rooms. Would stay here again.
I couldn't fault our accomodation at the Adina. Our room was extremely clean with a view overlooking the wave pool.It had every amenity that you could wish for. It was definitely the best located property to stay in during our visit to Darwin
The staff are excellent! Great position and my room was perfect for my stay.
Excellent accommodation
Also so awesome staying here.
Comfortable stay. Helpful staff. Enjoyable breakfast
The food is amazing. The corridors in the 4th floor not very clean
Staff were fantastic, hotel amenities were great! Room size was great - lounge was ok not very comfortable though.
It’s a great location being there at the waterfront with numerous dining options available
indig staff were excellent , great views to water too
Lovely one bedroom apartment with a balcony overlooking the waterfront. Perfect location! We really enjoyed our stay!
Best place in Darwin.
This place is amazing. Staff extremely helpful on all levels of customer service. Location is the best in Darwin. You have to stay here, it was wonderful.
Thumbs up
Excellent location, well presented hotel with everything you need either on site or nearby. highly recommended
Friendly staff, good sized clean room, good pool, great location.
Almost everything was up to expectation. Wi-Fi was sometimes difficult to connect and sometimes slow.
a good place to stay in Darwin
Good clean with good staff will stay there again
Adina was a fantastic place to stay. Modern and excellent facilities. Great location, staff were excellent. Walking distance to the city and waterfront swimming and restaurants right there. We will definitely be back.
Handy to the waterfront cafes, bars & wave pool, easy walk to the mall.
Stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment - very spacious. Great location.
Happy staycation
Awesome accommodation. Excellent customer service.
The apartment was lovely and well presented. We ended up with a view of the wave pool and sea, very lovely. Really enjoyed our stay as so close to everything.
Great location
On the water front with restaurants around the hotel just a1 min walk to them . Close enough to the city again a 10 min walk . Although the the pool is not the biggest it was adequate to cool down in ....
Nice location. Extremely friendly staff, clean property.

Poor check-in and communication
The place is really well located on the water front and the apartment room was spacious but the check in process was appalling. We were queued for almost an hour as there was a computer update issue and apparently this had been a problem on and off for a week. They needed to put on extra staff to help book people in. I felt for the staff as they were under pressure but a manager needed to step in and help out. Also there was no changing of towels or making of the bed for the first 2 days.
